MIDORIYA

FIVE YEARS LATER

I smile at Todoroki before sipping from my glass. I feel completely relaxed as I look out onto the beach. Under the moon, the sound of the waves, it's perfect. I tuck a green curl behind my ear feeling the wine a little. Crossing my legs, I close my eyes enjoying the nice night breeze coming through. After a moment I feel Todoroki hand comfortably touch my thigh. I open my eyes meeting his gaze.

"I didn't know Fiji was this beautiful," I state.

"I did," replies Todoroki before sipping from his own glass. My cell rings before I can say anything else. Todoroki gives me the death stare.

"Come on babe," I beg. "I have to take this."

"Who is it?" he asks sternly.

"Mirio," I reply.

"Fine," he replies removing his hand taking another sip from his glass.

"Hey Mirio," I greet.

"Hi Izuku," he replies. I swear I can hear the grin on his face. "Sorry to call you while you are on vacation."

"It's fine," I reply. "What can I do for you?"

"So you remember how I told you I wanted to propose," he replies.

"Yes," I reply.

"Well someone figured it out I want to propose and they want to blow my cover," he explains. "They are trying to extort me for millions."

"Don't they know that is a crime?" I question.

"Tell me about," says Mirio. I met Mirio officially at mom and Enji's wedding. That charming bright smile can't be faked. He such an amazing person and hero. "I got a good mind to bring my ass to their doorstep." I chuckle knowing he wouldn't really hurt whoever is attempting to blackmail him.

"Not necessary," I reply. "What is their deadline?" I know whoever this idiot is trying to blackmail him gave a deadline.

"Twenty-four hours," he replies.

"Take a deep breath," I reply. "This is you and your soon to be wife moment. We are going to move the surprise engagement to tonight. I will take care of all the reservations. I will also be in touch with Earjack so she can track to this blackmail."

"Thank you!" exclaims Mirio. "I knew you would know what to do. I'm so nervous. I mean am I really ready for this."

"Mirio, you are ready for anything," I reply. "Smile, you got this!"

"Smiling already," he chuckles.

"Great," I reply. "You get ready for your evening, and I will take care of the rest."

"Thanks," replies Mirio. "The usual rate?"

"This one is on me," I reply.

"Are you sure?" asks Mirio. "You answered my call while on vacation."

"I'm sure," I replied. "It's important you and your soon to be fiancé get to enjoy your moment."

"Thank you so much Izuku," he replies. "I really appreciate it. Have a good night." I end the call. I do work for myself. Not as a consultant for quirks but more on a personal level. I help my clients resolve personal issues that can threaten their careers. Believe it or not my first client was Bakugou. I wasn't even thinking of this as an actual job. He approached me for help, he never asks for help. While helping him he apologized for his past behavior towards me. He thought I wasn't going to help him because of our past. Bakugou may have been harsh but at the end of the day I guess that is his way of showing he cares. We began to talk from time to time following me assisting him. Bakugou pointed out how good I am at resolving issues. After much push by him I decided to turn this into a career.

"Someone is seriously trying to blackmail LeMillion?" asks Todoroki. "I almost pity that fool."

"I have no mercy for whoever it is," I reply going through my phone log. I call the hotel Mirio will be staying at tonight having his room changed tonight. Mirio has to pay more for the change, but money is no object to him. I get the restaurant reservation squared away before calling Earjack. I have to give the restaurant more details since the proposal is being moved. Mirio has champagne and a bushel of roses to be delivered. A violinist is to play their song while he gets down on one knee. This is certainly an event for him as it should be.

"Hi Midoriya," she greets. "Aren't you on vacation?" She sounds confused but amused at the same time.

"I am," I reply. "I have someone trying to blackmail our number one hero."

"I'm on it!" she replies. This is why I like Earjack. She has excellent work ethics, but she knows when to really aim for fast results. In my opinion she is certainly underrated.

"Thank you," I reply. I end the call knowing Earjack is looking into this idiot as we speak. Earjack is the only person who has access to all my client's information. She can access their records at will. I am the only one who knows when she does to ensure she isn't doing anything she isn't suppose to. My clients all sign paperwork knowing that Earjack will have access to their information at will. I sip some more of my wine. "God I'm getting sleepy."

"Not yet," says Todoroki. "The night is young."

"It is, it is," I reply. "I have been so busy…" Todoroki stands up walking over to me.

"I know," he replies. "This is why you need this." He pulls me to my feet kissing me. I hold my wine glass kissing Todoroki back grinning against his lips as his phone starts to ring. "Are you kidding me!" He looks at the phone. "It's our little brother!"

"Answer it!" I exclaim. Todoroki fixes the camera so we can see him. He was calling us on Facetime. Mom showed him how to do this a few months ago. Since then, he always expects to see our face when he calls. I wave at the phone as he comes into view.

"Zuku! Toto!" he exclaims grinning. When he was learning to speak, he had a hard time pronouncing our names so we shortened them for him. He is going to kindergarten this year. His green hair is flying everywhere with his blue eyes sparkling in excitement.

"How was your day?" asked Todoroki.

"Mom and dad took me to the pool," he explains. "I got burned, see." He puts the camera really close to his skin.

"Awww….." I reply. "Did you forget sunscreen." He shakes his head no.

"Mom applied it, but daddy forgot," he explains. "It's okay. I'm tough!" Todoroki and I chuckle. His personality is very bold. Makes me wonder if Enji treated Todoroki like this how he would have turned out. Enji is home more often now that has Yuuto Todoroki in his world. "I practiced a little at the pool."

"Oh did you now," states Todoroki sounding entertained.

"Yeah!" he exclaims. "I made water balloons with no balloon. It was hard a first but became easier." Yuuto can control water. It's a quirk I have seen before but the fact he can mold water into shapes or create objects out of the water is impressive. I wonder what the limit is once he gains more control.

"That's great," I reply.

"All the kids wanted me on their team," he beams. I bet! He is such a blessing. "When are you coming back?"

"We will be back home in 5 more days," replies Todoroki.

"That's forever!" he cries. He spends time with us at least 3 days a week. He almost feels like our own child sometimes.

"We will come and get you as soon as we return," I reply. "Promise."

"Okay!" he exclaims. He talks to us for a little while longer before giving the phone to my mom.

"Hey mom," I greet.

"Hi sweetheart, how is everything going?" she asks.

"Good," I reply. "My phone was ringing by the time we got to the hotel." Mom chuckles.

"I bet it was," she replies. "Shouto. You make sure he doesn't answer that phone for work."

"I'm trying!" he says sternly. Mom giggles. I hold in laughter of my own.

"You really do work so hard," states mom after she quiets down. One deeming quality I got from my dad, I guess. I can't help but be the best I can be.

"I plan to teach him more about balance," states Todoroki. Mom nods liking the sound of this. "Is my father home?"

"He is getting Yuuto ready for bed," replies mom. "Did you want to speak to him?"

"I will tomorrow if I have time," replies Todoroki. Mom grins.

"I understand," she replies. Todoroki and I didn't tell our parents we were dating until after the wedding. Needless to say, his father was pissed. My mom was shocked. She came around a lot faster than Enji. She could see that we truly love each other. Todoroki relationship with his father was already strained and this didn't help. We chat a little while longer before ending the call.

"You know darn well Yuuto is going be upset he didn't get to say goodbye," states Todoroki.

"I know," I sigh. "We will go get him when we come back from the airport." I yawn stretching my hands overhead.

"We can head back inside for the evening," states Todoroki. "I think if we stay out here you will fall asleep."

"I would not!" I say defensively. Todoroki chuckles standing up with his glass. I follow behind closing the balcony door locking it. Todoroki is checking his phone as he makes his way to the kitchen in our hotel room.

"Oh wow….." he says lowly.

"What?" I ask. He looks at me.

"If I tell you," he replies. "You can't act." I raise an eyebrow. That doesn't sound good. Now I want to know.

"What is that suppose to mean?" I question. Todoroki body language is letting me know he doesn't want to say anything.

"Promise me you won't do anything," he states. I place my hands on my hips.

"I promise," I reply. "Start talking."

"Shinsou and Ashido broke up," he replies. "This time I think it's for good."

"What!" I exclaim. "I should…."

"You promised," replies Todoroki sitting his wine glass down. He walks over to me grabbing my hands. "I knew you would want to react."

"Why didn't Shinsou tell me!" I exclaim.

"I'm sure he had his reasons," replies Todoroki. "Shinsou knows what he wants and it's not Ashido."

"You say that as if you know more," I say softly. Todoroki stares at me revealing he does know more than he is telling me. I sigh. "I don't want to think about this anymore. I don't want to talk about it." Before Todoroki can respond I pull out of his embrace walking to kitchen filling my wine glass.

"Izuku, none of this is your fault," he replies.

"I know it wasn't," I reply. Falling in love with Todoroki is the best thing that has ever happened to me. When Shinsou found Ashido around the same time I thought we both found our life long partners. Sure, they argued like some couples do but I didn't think it was worth breaking up over. They have taken breaks but always worked out their issues. I guess this time that isn't going to happen. I walk into the bedroom sitting down my glass before removing my top.

"What are you thinking?" asks Todoroki.

"Nothing," I lie unbuttoning my pants sliding them off. Before I can pick my clothes off the floor I feel Todoroki hands wrap around my waist from behind. He drops his head on my shoulder kissing it softly.

"I know the break up is bothering you," he replies. "You're such an amazing friend." Times like this I dislike being so attached to friends, associates. I never want them to be unhappy. Todoroki turns his face into my neck kissing it softly. I hum under his lips as the alcohol courses his system. I can't help but think about Todoroki life before me. He gave up so much for me. I mean I have too, but Todoroki has a career as a hero. Things would have turned out differently if he had been with Hawks instead of me. Todoroki has to be so private in everything he does because no one can find out about us. I doubt the public will care but I can't take that chance in ruining his career or my business. "You're thinking about us again aren't you." How the hell does he does that. After all this time I will never understand it.

"A little," I reply. "I was thinking would things have turned out this way had I not interfered in your relationship with Hawks." Todoroki tenses at Hawks name. They have had to work a few cases together. For at least two years Hawks would aim to have a personal conversation with Todoroki. Todoroki wasn't having it. Hawks is currently in a relationship but hasn't revealed who it is. I believe it is another hero. He teases the public constantly about his wonderful relationship. "It feels as if you cut off a regular life to be with me. You barely talk to your classmates."

"Because they are nosy," he snorts resting his chin on my shoulder. "They will figure out that we are together if I was around them all the time." Some of them figured it out but I don't have the heart to tell him. Lucky for me it is only Sero and Uraraka at this time. They both don't have a problem with our relationship. Sero said he thinks I'm good for Todoroki. I smile remembering that comment. "What you grinning for?"

"You," I reply pulling out his embrace. "Did you want a bath together?"

"Um I think I would like a shower," he replies stepping into my space. He leans down close rubbing his nose against mine.

"I know you want more than just a shower…." I whisper against his lips. Todoroki pulls me flesh against his body allowing me to feel how hard he is.

"Of course, I want to make love to my husband," he says before kissing me. I kiss Todoroki back knowing marrying him was the best decision we ever made. We made the promise to love, cherish and protect until death do us part. We are doing just that. No one but Shinsou knows we are married. Not even our parents. We have put enough on their plates. My heart begins to swoon as I don't get the joy of hearing him say it off.

"Well then hubby, let me take care of you," I reply. I slowly walk to the bathroom leaving a trail of clothes behind. I smile as Todoroki and I achieved our goals while maintaining our happiness. I know our future is bright.

Author's Note: I want to take the time to thank everyone who waited for the final chapter and completed this story. I know this transition was not the greatest but I didn't want to drag the story out further. Hope you all enjoyed :-)
