Hey guys! Today's fic is a direct prequel to my (semi abandoned) fic "Space is No Place for the Weak" but this can be read alone as an interpretation of how Raditz ends up off world during Planet Vegeta's destruction.

Enjoy

It was the best day of the year.

The Festival of the Blue Moon.

Raditz had longed for this day the moment it ended last year. It was by far, the most joyous day in the Saiyan calendar.

In the morning, every Saiyan, all together on their home planet they had rightfully taken from the Tuffles, would eat a traditional meal, the meal of the ancestors: Ja'skri, a stew with many spices, packed full of tender meat.

It was a strange thing for a breakfast meal, but it was all shared, washed down with a glass of Imokk if you were an adult, which was an alcoholic drink made with the crushed root of an Artok plant that was fermented with rice water.

A kid like Raditz got fēyoberry juice, but he didn't mind, it was a sweet, pale lilac liquid that was often used in many desserts and sweets. Once, he sneakily took a sip of his mother's glass of imokk and it made him cough, the strong earthy flavour tingling his taste buds in a fairly unpleasant way. He never knew why the adults liked it so much, it left a buzzy feeling in his head.

Then, after the breakfast, dressed in traditional garments, they'd go down to the temple, wishing the people you came across "Faiyen Burū Eli'n!" Which meant "Happy Blue Moon!"

It was like this day was the only day that Saiyans did not wish to fight. Sure, some occurred when people got drunk, or matches were held by elites, but it was a day of peace and remembrance.

In the temple, they'd go in, bringing offerings to the shrines, to honour the dead and the gods and goddesses. Each tribe usually had its own specific god they'd go to for offerings, one that had aided their tribe in the past.

Raditz's father was from the Fennil tribe. They had always been low-level farmers, but in modern times, that had changed, though they had kept their traditional ways, as Raditz learnt on visits to his father's family and home village, located in the South. Their godess was Endiva, who controlled fertility, both of land and in women, which made sense due to their farming heritage and large number.

Raditz's grandmother had around 15 kids, it was hard to keep track of them all!

His mother was from a honourable warrior tribe that were now few in number, which he found odd due to her nature opposing that. Their God was Seleriak, God of Wisdom. His mother was often very wise, despite her young age, so he understood the link.

After the prayers and offerings, you were able to do whatever you wished until the Royal Speeches outside the Palace. Crowds of thousands of Saiyans would gather, the kids scrambling to the front just to get a look at the amazingly strong people that ruled over them.

Raditz remembered when the Queen was alive, the older boys behind him always sniggered and made rude comments about what they'd do to her if they were the King. Raditz didn't understand why her large breasts made her attractive. If anything, he thought it must have been a hindrance to her life.

The speeches, were boring, sure, but afterwards, they showed the crowd how many stuff was put for the shrines, and they were reminded of the importance of each god. They'd all pray together, to remember the dead, then have a huge meal for them.

The evening would be full of shows, music, fights and every delicacy the planet had, until finally, everyone would be on the roofs of their homes to marvel in delight as the Blue Moon came over the planet, blessing them all with strength and pride for another year.

It was the best day of the year.

Raditz could hardly sleep, he was too excited, but his mother warned him that it would be a long day and he'd need all his energy, so he had to settle. He did, however set his alarm early, despite him hating early starts. He didn't mind for

"Ke Zarīxie li Burū Eli'n": The Festival of the Blue Moon.

When the alarm sounded, he was already half-awake, thinking about the day to come. He sprang out of bed, yelling,

"FAIYEN BURŪ ELI'N!!" before running downstairs whooping.

"Mama? Papa?" He searched for them in the kitchen. They were nowhere to be seen downstairs.

'They aren't even awake?! How lazy of them! And they're always telling me to be up early!'

He shouted for them from the bottom of the staircase,

"Mama?! Papa?! C'mon we can't be late to the temple!" He exclaimed, then waited for them to come down.

"Raditz..." His mother yawned, "it's so early..."

"Early?! It's 6am! We have to be early because we have to bring offerings to the temple, and I am not gonna wait in the line all day! Besides...it's better to be early!" He explained proudly.

"Alright..." Gine sighed. "At least I bought everything for the breakfast yesterday..." She got to work straight away, tying up her long unruly hair that was like his.

"Papa!" He grinned as he came downstairs.

"Faiyen-"

"Yes, Raditz, I heard you." Bardock snapped, "Sa'i te."

That was the usual response. It just meant "And you." His mother did say it was informal to reply that way, and how to say it properly, but this was much easier.

"Bardock, why don't you take Raditz outside and spar? Breakfast will be a while." Gine suggested, cutting up vegetables.

"I also need water from the well." She lifted the bucket with her tail and Raditz took it, racing out to the well and filling it before rushing back in, while trying to avoid spillages.

"Here, mama!" He gave it to her, panting.

"By the gods, I think that was your fastest time yet!" She lovingly ruffled his hair, and turned to her husband.

"C'mon, Bardock, he's full of energy today!" She pleaded and reluctantly he stood from his seat at the table.

"Can I wear my clothes for the festival? I promise I won't ruin them-"

"No way! If you're fighting, you go put your armour on! No fighting today when you're in those clothes!"

"But!"

Both father and son said in unison.

"No buts! The Blue Moon Festival is not a day for serious fighting! It dishonours the gods and the dead!" Gine ordered, cutting into the meat expertly with her cleaver that gleamed dangerously.

The two men gulped and knew she meant business.

"Go put your armour on, kid." His dad told him, as he went to do the same.

A few minutes later, outside their house atop a hill, the two stood, ready to train.

"Just because today is a holiday, doesn't mean I can go easy on you!" Bardock smirked.

"But she said not to fight serious!" Raditz reminded him, getting into a strong stance his father taught him.

"Well...it won't be serious to me, will it?!" He chuckled as he flew forward, fist heading rapidly towards Raditz, who managed to duck just in time.

"Hey! How about a warning?!" He angrily turned to his father, who was now behind him.

"You won't be warned in a real fight, so why should I?"

He did have a point.

"But, alright...maybe it was a little rude of me on a religious festival...so you can take the next shot!"

Raditz narrowed his eyes, focusing on his target. With a fierce battle cry he leapt towards his father, aiming to kick him in the gut, but somehow he caught his foot before he landed, and he threw him with a spin.

Raditz flipped over, landing on his feet, using his hands to steady himself.

"Damn it!" He stomped on the dry stony ground, cracking it.

"Hey, I'm your opponent, not the bugs on the ground!" His father taunted; gods, he loved to do that. He just knew how to piss him off.

Raditz tried again, running forward, and acted as if he was about to throw a punch, but opened his palm to, at the very last second, fire a ki blast into his father's core. It wasn't too strong, since he hardly charged it up, but it knocked him back a little at least and looked like the force of it hurt him to some degree.

"You and your tricks, huh?" Bardock frowned.

"Well, it worked, so..." Raditz smiled, proud of his own move, but his moment of joy was over as his father appeared behind him and grabbed his tail.

He forgot to wrap it around his waist!

"S-stop!" He gasped, pain shaking him to the core as he squeezed.

"Looks like I have a few tricks of my own!" His father chuckled, lifting the boy by the tail.

"See?" He turned the whimpering child towards his face. "This is why you remember to wrap your tail!" Raditz lightly nodded and squealed as his father squeezed again.

"Good." Bardock dropped him and he fell flat on the ground.

Breathing heavily, Raditz managed to sit back up.

"Papa..." He began,"Do you think...I'm strong enough for missions?"

Raditz looked up at his father from the ground, where he was now sitting cross legged on the dirt floor, rubbing his tail softly, brushing the fur down.

"As you are? No chance." He scoffed, leaning against the stone walls of their cosy home.

"But...I really think I'm ready! A-and I can go with you and your team to show you!"

Raditz stood up, pleading.

"No. I'm not gonna sign you up yet. Maybe you can come, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna let you fully join the force. It's best you stay home for a few more years, to train up Kakarot and keep going to school."

"What?! You just want me to stay and look after Kakarot because you're always too busy!" Raditz was furious.

His father didn't believe in him.

"Raditz, it isn't my fault! Frieza gives us harder missions and I know it means I'm away for longer, but it's not like you're a little kid anymore! I'm out there earning enough for you, your mother and soon, for Kakarot-"

"So, let me work! We won't have enough for all of us, I heard you and mama talk about it!" Raditz argued.

"Kid, you should not have been listening to that!"

"Then why have the conversation when I'm here?!" He wasn't taking no for an answer.

"Look, I can just run a few missions this summer, then come back to school! That'll pay for Kakarot's stuff when he's done with being in an incubator, and I'll get much stronger!"

Bardock sighed.

"I'll talk to your mother about it...but if she doesn't agree, you aren't going."

Raditz said it was fine, at least he was finally understanding he wasn't just some kid. Raditz believed he was going to be stronger than his father. He knew it would come true.

"Hey, the food's ready!" Gine called them in. It smelt heavenly, the aroma filled the house.

Raditz ran to the table, sitting down with his spoon in his hand ready for his mother to ladle the stew into the bowl.

"Sounds like you two were really going for it out there!" She smiled and filled up their bowls.

"This will definitely refill your energy!"

Raditz was about to dig in, he could hardly wait, but his mother stopped him.

"Raditz! You'd forget to pray before you eat?! On a day such as this?" She chided him then pressed her hands together, his father following suit, before reciting the prayer, which felt like it took an eternity to end.

"Alright, now you can eat."

The hungry Saiyan family dug in to the meal, the boys almost competing for how many bowlfuls they could have.

By the Gods, it was delicious! How could his mother make a fantastic meal such as that in such a short amount of time? It was like magic!

"Can I have some more?!" He asked and she grabbed his bowl to put more in but the pot was empty.

"Oh, dear! It looks like we ate all of it!" She took the dishes and the large pot to the sink, carefully taking them all at once.

Raditz burped loudly and patted his full stomach.

"Can we go now?" Raditz wanted to be first there and the first to leave. A part of him did feel bad for thinking such a think and he hoped the gods did not punish him for not wanting to stay long in the temple, but being there freaked him out a little. The statues always seemed to be staring at him directly.

"Well...alright." She sighed.

"Go and put your clothes on and then we'll make our way down."

As soon as the words were spoken, Raditz raced off, cleaning himself up, vigorously brushing his hair, pulling hard at the tangles, before putting on the traditional clothes.

They were plain and simple with a space for his tail. He thought it almost resembled a dress but it was just the leather covering, which was the armour of those times, with little metal. The material was light, yet sturdy and was an off-white colour, so that the burning suns of the planet wouldn't be a hindrance. Raditz put on his sandals as it was much too hot for his boots.

He grabbed his satchel, making sure it had money in it for food, as well as his sacrifices of fruit he picked from the orchard behind the house. It wasn't much, but kids weren't really expected to contribute.

Downstairs, his mother, prepared the rest of the sacrifices. Meat, vegetables, juice and Imokk were going to the shrines where it would later be shared out again after the prayers, blessing the food. Raditz thought it was weird that they gave the food just for it to be returned to others, but at least everyone got a meal that was blessed upon.

His father was dressed in a similar outfit to him, though his signature red bands made a difference. Gine, however, had a long white dress made out of the same material as the others, which covered her body, with gold crossing over the front and making the waistband.

"Bardock, you carry this." She handed the large sack to him, which he slung over his shoulder.

"Raditz, your armour plating is backwards!" She came over to fix his outfit up.

"There." She brushed some dirt from his cheek and picked up her hairclips, to pin her hair back. They were adorned with fake flowers but weren't over the top. Her make up was limited too.

They were finally ready.

'Thank the gods!' Raditz thought as they left the house. He sped off down the hill to reach the temple, making his parents hurry too.

"Raditz, careful! If you get your clothes dirty, then I won't let you have any sweets!"

His mother warned and it was enough to make him slow down.

The temple was close to the Palace where people had already gathered, all dressed in the same clothes.

"See? I told you it'd be busy!" Raditz always loved being right.

They waited in the line for a few minutes, greeting people who walked past. The Festival contradicted what he was taught about the nature of his people, but his mother told him that before King Cold that Saiyans were a little different, and it was good to go back to the days of peace and simplicity.

"Raditz...how about you place the sacrifices at the shines? One bag for each." His mother handed him the bags as they were allowed to enter by a guard.

He nervously walked in, the windows shining the golden rays of the morning sun onto the statues and plaques.

He came to Endiva's first.

He bowed down, the tip of his nose and his forehead cooled by the marble floor, his parents following suit. He slowly rose and turned to his mother and she nodded, "You say the prayer now."

He inhaled,

"Goddess Endiva...please bless our land with fertile soil and a good harvest. I pray that our children are born strong, especially my little brother Kakarot. Please accept this sacrifice and bless us with strength and pride."

He hoped his pronunciation was right. Ancient Saiyan was tricky.

"Well done." His mother patted his head as they moved on to Seleriak where he repeated the same action.

"God of Wisdom, Seleriak...please bless us with knowledge to outsmart our foes. I pray for sensibility, leadership and wisdom. I humbly offer this sacrifice. Please bless us with strength and pride."

It wasn't as hard as the thought, in the end. He put down the second sacrificed and turned and bowed with his parents once again before they exited.

"What now? The speeches won't be held yet." Bardock asked.

"It's hot...can I go buy a Ki'lei?"

Raditz pleaded.

"Alright...but you're to come straight back, got it?" His mother instructed.

"I will!" He yelled as he sped off to the Ki'lei vendor.

"Faiyen Burū Eli'n!" Bok smiled. Raditz knew him very well. Bok was young and his older brother, Choi, took over the Xi'kyo drink stand and that their mother used to run both stands.

"Sa'i te!" Raditz greeted in return.

"Im'tei flavour as usual?" Bok already had it prepared, he knew Raditz that well.

"Thanks!" The boy was about to get out his money but Bok told him to stop.

"It's on the house!"

"Aww, cool!" Raditz thanked him and took the iced treat, made with the milk of a Sepni, a large fluffy creature, and flavoured with the pulp of a fruit.

Raditz thought about going to his mother like he promised, he genuinely did, but he saw one of his closest friends: Colli.

He had been friends with him since he was around 4 years old. Colli was fairly smart, but rather timid and weaker than Raditz but always positive he would become a good fighter and the two hoped to be on the same team, with Raditz leading, of course.

"Faiyen Burū Eli'n, Raditz!" He came over. "Mmh! Ki'lei! Can I have one, Bok?"

He asked and Bok gave him one, but he wanted Fēyoberry flavour instead.

The two boys walked along the streets, licking the ki'lei on their sticks.

"Do you wanna play Galactic Zap?" Colli had almost finished with his food.

"Well...I don't know..." Raditz knew he should have gone back to his mother but the offer was tempting.

"Alright...but only if I get to be Zap!" He tossed the stick onto the ground.

"No fair!" Colli pouted. "You always get to be Zap!"

"I let you be Zap last week! Besides...you make a great Oyin!" Raditz persuaded and eventually he agreed. Raditz was great at persuasion.

"Ok...let's do the one where they have to team up to save Navea!" Raditz decided.

"But...who will play Navea?" Colli wondered.

"Good point..."

Just then, another one of their friends showed up.

"Peppra! Good timing, we're playing Galactic Zap, and we need you to be Navea!"

Peppra was a strange girl. There was something wrong with her. She needed glasses because her vision was terrible and was very weak. She lived at an orphanage because her parents abandoned her. The other kids bullied her relentlessly, but ever since Raditz stood up for her, she'd always been following him around for some reason, but at least she was a good friend, despite being strange.

"Anything for you, Raditz!" She grinned and brushed her short hair to resemble the character.

The trio played away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets. They played in the shady back ends.

"Oh no!" Peppra acted as if she was hurt. "The curse is getting stronger! You two have to defeat the evil demon to save me!"

"Raditz?" Colli whispered. "Who will be the demon?"

"Oh...I don't know...let's play a different one! Umm...Zap gets taken control of and you two have to save me!"

The other two agreed and they began to fake fight. As they were playing, they were rudely interrupted.

"Guys, look it's Raditz and the Loser Team!" The stronger kids laughed, led by Brasca, an elite.

Colli and Peppra were frightened of them, as they were easier targets. Raditz was stronger and wouldn't back down.

"Playing those dumb games on a day like today? You're disgraces!" Brasca spat.

"You won't even leave us alone today, you're the disgrace!" Raditz retorted, making the other kids gasped.

No-one talked to Brasca, son of Zorn like that.

Brasca cracked his knuckles and Raditz gulped, realising what he had just done.

"Hope your dirt poor family didn't pay too much for those clothes, because I'm gonna stain them with your own blood, you scum!"

Raditz squeezed his eyes shut as he braced himself for impact.

"Wait!" A familiar voice called. Raditz opened his eyes. Brasca's fist was less than an inch away from his face.

He glanced to the side and saw the love of his life: Letta.

She was an elite girl, with beautiful hair and eyes. She was cold towards him, but her stopping Brasca from hitting him was a sign of her respect, which would grow to become affection, surely?

"We shouldn't fight amongst ourselves on this sacred day!" She stood proudly and Raditz didn't realise he was smiling. The white bow on her tail was exceptionally beautiful, he noticed as she turned; it made her look like an angel.

"Besides I have a better idea!" She smirked and went to whisper it to the other kids.

"Good idea..." Brasca sniggered.

"If you're so strong and brave, we dare you to take and eat some food from the sacrifices!" He dared.

"My father told me that the ceremony begins in 10 minutes!" Letta added.

"Raditz, don't do it!" Peppra warned him.

"They're trying to get you in trouble, just like always!"

"Shut it, you Tuffle!" Letta shoved her out of the way and went to convince Raditz using her feminine charm.

"Do it and I'll be your girlfriend!"

She was just as persuasive as him.

"I accept your challenge!" Raditz exclaimed boldly.

"But you'll be killed if they catch you!" Colli tried to stop him as he helped Peppra up.

"I know!" Raditz smiled. "I just won't get caught."

The other kids were in disbelief. He was going to steal from the gods.

He wasn't going to be talked out of it. If he did this, he'd be accepted amongst the rest of the kids! Maybe they'd even leave Colli and Peppra alone?

Brasca pointed him in the direction of the grand stage where the food was kept behind large red curtains ready to be unveiled when the King made his speech.

'I won't take too much...' He schemed.

'Just a few of my favourite stuff...maybe if I drink alcohol in front of them I'll look even cooler!' Raditz could envision his plans perfectly. He'd distract the guards and sneak in and take the food when no-one was looking.

He casually walked over to the side of the stage where Nappa stood. He knew all about him, he wasn't only a war hero and leader, he was also the father of his beloved Letta, but he didn't see much resemblance, luckily. They had a few run-ins before.

"Beat it, kid, you shouldn't be around here!" He growled, making Raditz's tail puff up a little.

"B-but sir!"

He knew he was a fantastic actor. It was a shame his teacher took the main role from him in the play a few years back for talking too much, he made a great Yamoshi.

"There's a big fight happening, we need you to break it up!" Raditz lied.

"Whereabouts?" Nappa asked, standing up from where he was leaning.

"Umm...It's around Tameric Square!"

Thank goodness he didn't have his scouter to check.

"Alright...it's pretty far...look for another Commander to protect this stage!" He ordered.

"And dust off your garments, soldier! It's disgraceful to get your sacred clothes dirty!"

Raditz dusted them off, he hadn't even realised! He always wondered why they were white if they had to be kept pure, it was as if they were just asking for it to get dirty.

He soon left and Raditz scanned the area. There was an announcement for the people to gather in front of the Palace, which was not far from where the stage was as the speeches were about to start. Raditz snuck behind the stage before they started coming in, the elite children and the other stronger kids who dared him saw it, but they had enough restraint not to tell on him, no, they actually wanted to see him do it.

The stage was large and tall, so the huge crowds would see, and there were piles of food brought by all the citizens of the Planet. Saiyans didn't have a terribly high population, which was maybe for the best, but there was enough food that could feed the whole army...well maybe for a single meal.

Raditz began to drool.

He was in the Heavenly Realm.

He reached out to grab a tasty gin'jek fruit from a crate but paused.

Was this right?

He was stealing from the Gods...the very beings that provided strength and pride!

Though...it was only a little bit...

'I'm sure one of the Gods will be dieting!'

He shook off any doubts.

"Now...what should I have?" He said aloud to himself and opened up his satchel.

He took some candy, some fruit and vegetables and his favourite snacks out, filling his bag. He'd make up some excuse as to where he got it from later.

'It's not that bad! Besides...we get it given to us anyway after the joint prayer and ceremony!' He thought as he picked up more candy.

What Raditz failed to realise, was that outside, the King was already making his speech...

Prince Vegeta sat on his throne. It had once belonged to his mother before her death 2 years ago.

Beneath him, far beyond the entrance of the Palace were his loyal people, the crowd stretching for what looked like miles, with screens and speakers allowing them to see their ruler.

He gazed over the speech he had written himself and would come to say at the podium after his father's. He knew it was good. He had learnt well from his parents.

The crowd stood and bowed, Vegeta included, to the King as he stepped out, a large orchestra accompanying him. He ordered them to rise and they followed, but Vegeta was allowed to sit and watch, making notes mentally.

Before he could begin however, the orchestra started up, playing their national anthem where everyone stood and sang. It was loud but not so much that someone behind the grand stage could hear.

Vegeta knew the lyrics perfectly, of course and while he didn't care for music, he felt pride swelling within him for his people and planet.

After that, there was a performance from some young children singing some prayer. It was surprisingly pleasant, but he wished they'd just get to the speech.

There was a long applause for the children and finally the King stepped up to the podium.

"Faiyen Burū Eli'n!" His deep voice echoed in the city.

"Today, my loyal subjects, we are gathered to celebrate the Gods, who lead us to victory! In honour, strength and pride, we Saiyans have been blessed and today we repay that with our sacrifices of food and wealth, showing we have used their gifts well.

We've been through hardship after hardship...the war, the redevelopment, the new contracts under King Cold and now Lord Frieza...

But we have always come through it.

And those that don't survive are never forgotten, remember this!

When my wife...your Queen passed of that terrible sickness almost 2 years ago, we all chose to celebrate and not mourn."

The Prince recalled the sombre day very clearly and how it began to rain.

"She didn't want us to mourn. Because she knew her soul would become forever part of the Moon, the place all our souls will remain...so I know I will meet Echalotte again.

Now, we shall begin the prayer...my son, would you like to take it?" He called the Prince forward. The boy wasn't expecting this. He was able to recite well, he did it in the Palace, but not in front of his entire race.

He came forward, hovering to reach the microphone and cleared his throat. If he couldn't do this, how could he make his own speech later on?

The people bowed their heads ready.

"Eli'n tei fā'reyo, han'sho meytik,Kan'phi zeyatin, Saiya-Jin ni ayi,Im'laik supike nerai, dei xuireiVenra yuku'ruf Bejita ni Saiya-Jin,Eli'n sa tayfur, Kai-reen."

When it was over, the King signalled for them to go to the stage where they were about to unveil the masses of food for the sacrifices...

"Mmh! A Galactic Zap bar!" Raditz picked it up and peeled open the wrapper, licking his lips. Just as he was about to pit it in his mouth, the red curtain suddenly lifted and he was being stared at by the whole population of the planet below.

An audible gasp was let out my many of them.

Raditz dropped the bar.

He turned to face them fully.

"It's not what it looks like!"

His heavy satchel tore revealing the food he had taken.

Raditz suddenly felt faint. Everyone's eyes were on him.

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!"

The King roared from down below, with guards either side, as well as the Prince.

"YOU DARE TO INSULT THE GODS ON A HOLY DAY?!" His voice echoed in the city.

"No, sir! Not at all!" He managed to speak.

"Some elite kids dared me to do it!" He scanned the crowd and saw Letta.

"Letta, tell them, you and Brasca told me to!"

"Is this true?" Nappa asked.

"I don't even know what he's talking about, Papa!" She lied.

"He was disrespectful to Brasca...a-and he said he wanted to be my boyfriend!"

The crowd was visibly angry.

Raditz's heart sank. He thought for a moment she would tell the truth.

"Give me a reason not to execute you!"

The King yelled.

"B-because...I'm a kid?" Raditz stammered, his legs shaking a bit.

"Every child knows not to do what you did!" The King countered.

A familiar voice came in.

"Wait!" His mother panted, his father behind her.

"Please forgive us, my King!" They bowed fully, heads to the ground.

"My son's mistakes don't warrant death!" She fought hard for him. She was transgressing too by arguing with him.

"We...don't have the money to pay you...but my son, Raditz, is a good fighter, his father teaches him well."

She was smart. Everyone was aware of Bardock and his team.

"I beg of you...don't kill him! Only you and your squad of elites can change his rebellious nature-"

"I think only an exorcism can expel this boy's problems!" The King interrupted.

"Please! By serving in the force...his wages can make up for any damages, and he'll learn true discipline!"

There was a pause and the crowd chattered, considering if it was right to kill the boy.

"SILENCE!" The King finally came to his decision.

"Tomorrow, Radittsu, son of Bardock, will come to the Palace Court where his case will be discussed! If he does not pass the trials to become a soldier, he will be publicly executed!"

Raditz felt sick.

Two guards dragged him away and dropped him on the ground before his parents who were allowed to rise.

He couldn't bring his eyes up to look at them.

The crowd stared at them as they made their way to the back.

He had only a day before his fate would be decided. How could he train to pass a test he didn't know anything about?

Ke Zarīxie li Burū Eli'n.

The worst day of his life.
