The Flash Armageddon Part 10 Natasha walks over to Jimmy and Darcy as they keep tabs in Barry.
"Any leads?" she asked.
"So far Barry's suspended and framed for being a mole at his day job over at CCPD." Explained Jimmy.
"Hold on. Satellite is picking up an enhanced individual over in Central City ." said Darcy.
"What are we dealing with?" Natasha asked.
"Satellite is picking up now. Got it. Says here this lady is named Zotar. Some sort of telepath. Mess with your mind type." Explained Darcy.
"First Queen, Despero now Zotar? What's with the telepath types lately? Unless...?" Natasha begins to put the pieces together.
"Miss Romanoff?" Asked Jimmy.
"So. That's his play?" Natasha said.
"I...don't understand" said Darcy.
"All these telepaths are attacking Barry's mind to drive him into the madness Despero wants out of Barry.
"Alert the others. NOW!" shouts Natasha.
Barry speeds over in Central City as he was looking into Zotar as the day went on thanks to Iris' lead. He finds Zotar in the middle of a diamond heist.
"Flash. You found me!" said Zotar.
"Yes" said Barry.
"Let me guess, you're psychic too" said Zotar.
"Not Psychic just patient. I knew if I ran around the city long enough you'd eventually show yourself" said Barry.
"How underwhelming and basic of you. So what's next? We fight? Not passe" said Zotar.
"Actually what do you say we take a trip to Iron Heights?" Asked Barry
Flash speeds in for the arrest as he's suddenly taken back to his apartment and hits his head against the wall courtesy of Zotar's power.
Barry looks to see he's back home but in a mess as Chester, Caitlin, Bruce and Allegra are all there with Caitlin with a blaster at the ready and Bruce Hulked out.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Asked Caitlin.
"What's going on?" Asked Barry confused
"Look around pal." said Bruce in his Smart Hulk form.
"You, you zooped in from out of nowhere and started destroying the place" said Chester as sparks flew.
"What? No I..? " asked Barry.
"You almost lightning blasted Chuck!" said Allegra.
"I don't remember doing any of that" said Barry still in shock and confusion.
"You were lathered up out of control, Allegra had to blast you and Bruce had to smack some sense into you man" said Chester.
"Okay alright look, whatever happened, I can prove I'm myself. At least Caitlin can" said Bruce.
"Cover me" said Caitlin as she puts the blaster down and grabbed a neural scanner.
"Your amygdala activity and cortisol levels are elevated but, within normal parameters." Caitlin explains.
"Well, if you're really you again, it doesn't explain what just happened" said Allegra.
"No I know who's responsible for this. Right before it happened I intercepted a Meta called Zotar. She controls her victim's minds. What are the odds a Meta who commits telepathic assaults on people shows up the same day Despero claims I'm supposed lose my mind?" Asked Barry.
"Wait. Natasha told me about when The Royal Flush Gang had a telepath on their team when Spider-Man came to Central City and stopped that heist. Then Despero shows up and uses his telepath attacks on you during the first encounter. Now Zotar shows up and Barry wrecks this place a new one? I'm starting to think this is a pattern." Explained Bruce.
"You think all these recent telepath Metas are connected to Barry's irregular brainwave activity?" Asked Caitlin.
"It's very possible. If Barry's not careful everyone of us in this city will be at great risk." Explained Bruce.
"Well it does make a lot more sense now" said Chester.
"Okay we need to find Zotar and stop this from happening" said Caitlin.
"And keep Despero from killing you" said Allegra.
"BRUCE BRUCE COME IN! IA EVERYONE OKAY?" shouts Natasha.
"Hang on." said Bruce as he raised a finger.
"Go ahead Natasha." he said.
"There's a Metahuman named Zotar that intends to get inside Barry's head!" she said frantically.
"Yeah we know, we're here with Barry" said Bruce.
"I know he's there with you, S.W.O.R.D satellites have a lock on him" Explained Natasha.
"I'm patching myself to Barry, stand by." said Natasha.
"Natasha?" Asked Barry?
"Barry listen to me, you need to find Zotar and take her out now! All these telepaths are part of a play to get you to crack giving Despero the opening he needs to kill you." Explained Natasha.
"Don't worry I found her once I'll find her again." assured Barry.
"Frost needs help setting up a med lab at the apartment" said Caitlin.
"Allegra and I can set up a cortex type stich in my garage" said Chester.
"I'll go help Caitlin set up the med lab and we'll head to the garage when we're finished. In the meantime you watch your head" said Bruce.
"Alright go do it. I know look, This day started with a loss but we can end it with a win. We got this" said Barry as he speeds off.
"You guys okay?" Asked Bruce.
"Yeah we're good. I think." said Allegra.
"Caitlin?" Bruce asked.
"I'm fine. We appreciate the extra muscle. Literally." she answered.
"This is getting good!" said Darcy
Natasha storms off as she gets on the comms
"Danvers, Rambeau? I got a mission for the both of you" she said.
Barry races through Central City in hopes of finding Zotar only to find no leads as he take a minute to catch his breath in front of two people.
"Sorry. Sorry it's alright" he apologized for startling.
"Search for Zotar all you want." said Despero
Barry turns to sees the villain.
"The answer your looking for has been with you all along" Despero continues.
"Enough! No more cryptic prophecies. No more games. Why do you care so much? You said yourself this isn't your world. Your hiding something from me. What do you have to gain?" Asked Barry.
"A home. I saw my planet Kalanor overrun by evil. I was forced to see the people I love suffer and die under the fist of despot. I was chosen to lead a band of rebels attempting a coup. Both sides suffered heavy losses. But we were triumphant. However when the time came to cut the head off the snake, I chose to spare the oppressor's life. But my mercy was misguided. Because it allowed that madman to rise again and rain down horrors a thousand times worse. I was spared. Because he knew with me the only fate worse than death, would be losing my homeworld. So he banished me here. That's how I came to adopt earth as my new home. Only to watch you destroy it." Explained Despero.
"He won't." said Carol Danvers as she was powered up with Binary energy as she was joined by Monica.
"Barry and I have been through a Crisis before. Whatever is coming we can handle it" said Carol.
"Crisis and tragedy are like fires Captain Marvel. Some are strong enough to endure them. But others are destined to be consumed by them. So we'll find out who Flash is.
Despero takes his leave once more.
"Where did he go?" Asked Monica.
"He'll be back." said Barry.
"Romanoff. We found Barry. Had another encounter with Despero with his end of the world bullshit again." said Carol.
"This time he decided to give Barry his whole backstory." Added Monica.
"Don't worry we got all of it from here. Sending the Intel to Fury now." said Natasha.
Carol powers down breathing a sigh of relief of avoiding collateral damage.
"Copy that. Returning to base." said Carol.
"Negative. Stay close to Barry. If anything happens assist by any means necessary. Romanoff out."
"Okay. Looks like we're tagging along Allen. Who we after?" Asked Carol.
Zotar was in the midst of another heist as Barry, Carol and Monica arrive on the scene with Barry making a landing, Iron Man would be proud of.
"Really? The Stark landing?" Asked Carol.
"You just dropped me from the sky. How else was I supposed to land?" Asked Barry.
"Fair point" said Carol.
"So you found me again Flash. And you brought backup. How cute" said Zotar.
"Lady whoever the hell you are, your mind messing days are over." said Monica.
"You heard my friend. Come quietly *charges up Binary power and pounds her fist into her other hand and cracks the knuckles* or there will be trouble" said Carol.
"Hmm. I'm thinking I'm going to go through door number three." said Zotar.
"Trouble it is then" said Carol.
Barry, Carol and Monica prepared for an attack but Zotar had one trick up her sleeve. She held everyone in place using her powers keeping them still and unable to move.
"What the hell?" Asked Carol.
"Oh no" said Natasha watching the satellite feed.
"If it makes you all feel better, I dug my claws into your minds long before you arrived " said Zotar as she lifts them all up in the air.
"Agents Danvers and Rambeau are compromised!" said Natasha.
"Oh no" said Fury.
"Didn't need to take a crystal ball to eventually catch you by surprise. You know back in the day, my specialty was bending spoons" said Zotar as she used her powers to slowly crush and the trio and bend their bones."
"Okay Guys, CCPD is reporting that Flash and The Avengers are getting their butts kicked downtown by some Meta magician that's got them suspended in mid air." said Chester.
"It's got to be Zotar" said Allegra.
"Nat? What's going on downtown? You got a visual?" Asked Bruce.
"Barry, Carol and Monica are under Zotar's power. I'm calling in backup." said Natasha.
"Don't. I'll go" Bruce offers.
"No! I can stop Zotar. I just need to generate enough lightning" said Barry.
"Whatever your going to do. Do it now!" shouts Monica trying to fight.
"Barry you're suspended in mid air, if you can't run or throw lightning, how are you gonna pull this off? Barry?" Bruce asked but got silence in return.
Barry continues to scream in pain as Zotar's assault continues. Until his body is producing lightning.
"Guys something is happening with Barry. Lightning is sparking around him like Thor would do." said Natasha.
"That would have to mean he's probably vibrating the cells in his body at a microscopic level fast enough to create his own lightning without having to run." said Bruce.
"He's essentially making static electricity just by vibrating his body" Chester adds.
"But he can throw lightning" said Caitlin.
"I don't think that's the plan. If he can't throw lightning because he can't move. He's gonna expell it from his body creating enough of it stored up in his body." said Bruce.
"What happens if his body can't handle it?" Asked Allegra.
"We're about to find out" said Caitlin.
Barry charges up his body with all the lightning he can as he unleashes a powerful shockwave that zaps Zotar freeing him, Monica and Carol.
Barry then speeds over to send Zotar to the Meta Human police leaving Monica and Carol confused.
"What the hell just happened?" Asked Monica.
