The Flash Armageddon Part 19
Police sirens wailed as Barry and Peter wake up from being blasted by Eobard.
"C'mon. We gotta get out of here" Barry as he takes Peter to Jitters.
Now wearing incognito Street clothes, Barry and Peter catch a news broadcast on the TV.
"Earlier today, protesters gathered downtown at the penthouse of Damien Dahrk demanding justice. Dahrk who was released from Iron Heights Prison on a technicality, was convicted six months ago for the murders of A.R.G.U.S director Cisco Ramon. The heroic team known as The Legends. As well as Tech Philanthropist Ray Palmer. Dahrk was also responsible for for murder of Black Widow of the famed superhero team The Avengers as well as Clint Barton aka Hawkeye and sadly countless others. Meanwhile Dahrk's accomplice, the mass murdering Speedster The Reverse Flash is still at large"
"Is this seat taken?" Asked a familiar voice.
"DOC?" Asked Peter.
Doctor Strange hushes Peter.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Barry.
"Well last time I checked, Despero attacked The Hall of Justice as you went here." Explained Strange.
"You went after us?" Asked Peter.
"Kid. I'm. Sorry." said Strange.
"What happened?" Asked Barry.
*flashback to 2021*
"We were all no match for him. Despero proved too great."
The bodies of Black Lightning, Kate, Yelena, Natasha, Marc, Scott, Hope, Ray, Cassie, Carol, Monica all scattered across the halls. Broken. Defeated. By him. The worst part, it wasn't difficult.
Doctor Strange was the last one standing.
"It's over Sorcerer!" said Despero.
"No. It's far from it." said Doctor Strange struggling to his feet.
"LOOK AROUND! You're allies dead by my feet. Soon, Peter Parker and The Flash!" shouts Despero.
"We'll see about that" said Doctor Strange
Strange then began to cast a spell that affected his fallen friends as a contingency plan.
"What are you doing?" Despero asked.
"Changing destiny" Strange replied as he quickly casted Despero into the mirror dimension.
Strange then used an untested time travel spell combining the time stone with the sling ring portals as he travels to the year 2031 after Barry and Peter.
*End of Flashback*
"Doc, my arch nemesis Eobard Thawne messed with time creating what he called a Reverse Flashpoint. He was the one who caused the radiation levels at S.T.A.R Labs to spike so high. He was the one who killed Joe. He was the one who attacked those people!" Explained Barry.
"It was Eobard all along" said Strange.
Peter however didn't say a word. He looked down with tears in his eyes. Anger in his heart. He storms out of Jitters. As Strange and Barry catch up to him.
Peter goes into an alley as he then in a fit of rage throws a trash can and screams out at the top of his lungs. Punching a hole onto a brick wall as he collapsed on the floor crying.
"Kid!" shouts Strange as he and Barry run up to him.
"Pete I know things are bleak right now but we need your help okay buddy?" Barry said consoling his friend.
"They're all dead. Despero killed all our friends. My team. Jefferson. Who's to say he won't get Cecile and the others?" Asked Peter distressed.
"That's why we're gonna fix this! We're not gonna let this stand. We can't. Otherwise a this new timeline is gonna stick." Explained Barry.
"How long do we have until it solidifies?" Asked Strange.
"Midnight" said Barry.
"Where do we even start?" Asked Peter.
"I know where but I need you both to trust me" said Barry.
Damien Dahrk was preparing a drink at his Penthouse as Barry speeds in.
"Barry Allen. I was wondering when my old partner would come back and say hello. Hope you've been laying low somewhere. Relaxing." said Damien.
"I need your help again Damien." said Barry.
"Yeah of course you do" said Damien as he turns to see Barry.
"Whoa, um.. You seem...different. It seems like you're running on empty old friend. What happened to you?" Asked Damien.
"The Flash happened to me. Now I want payback." Explained Barry
"I like where this is going. Spill your tragic tale." said Damien taking a seat.
"Well after you were arrested, I fought The Flash and beat him." Explained Barry.
"YESSS!" added Damien.
"But before I could drive a hand through his heart, he ran back in time. Changed things so he'd won." Explained Barry.
"He created an anachronism." said Damien.
"Only I wasn't just one event. Thawne changed everything. Trying to stop him cost me my speed. Now we're living in the timeline he constructed for his own benefit." Explained Barry.
"Really? Now that's downright...villainous" said Damien.
"We need to put him down." said Barry
"Oh we will. We will. No one gets to rig time except me but fixing this, won't be easy. If The Flash created multiple anachronisms, the only reset the timeline is to turn everything back at the same time which is why we need the PED." Explained Damien.
"PED?" Asked Barry.
"The PED. The Particle Eradication Distributor. The thing thag erases any type of matter. You yanked it out of Ray Palmer's cold dead hands." Explained Damien who had a moment of being suspicious of Barry.
"Right. When you've killed as many people as I have, you start to lose track." Explained Barry.
"Huh. I sometimes forget, you're even darker than me. Pun intended. Alright old partner here's what we're going to do. If we combine the PED and my time stone, any anachronisms on that temporal plane will be erased." Explained Damien.
"So this could work?" Asked Barry.
"Ohhhh or gets so much better. After my arrest, they confiscated the PED. Guess where it ended up?" Asked Damien taking a drink.
"Where?" Asked Barry.
"S.T.A.R Labs" Damien answered.
Meanwhile outside and out of sight, Doctor Strange and Peter listened in on the entire conversation.
"Wait. This Dahrk guy has a time stone?" Asked Peter.
"Eobard must've done worse to the timeline than I thought." said Strange.
"So all we need is this PED and maybe you can use it to cast a spell to undo all this before midnight so we can go home!" Peter.
"That seems to be the play. We'll need to hang back while they do this. We can't get caught or the plan will fall apart." Explained Strange.
"Okay okay. So what will happen to us after the timeline gets reset?" Asked Peter.
"Odds are not everyone around us will be caught up to speed but out friends will." Explained Strange.
"How so?" Asked Peter.
"Before I left, I casted a memory retention spell as a contingency plan for times like this. Just incase things aren't exactly how we left it back when Despero attacked The Hall." Explained Strange.
"Was this part of the plan when you used the time stone?" Asked Peter.
"I told you kid. Everything from that moment on was supposed to happen as it did. And it will continue to happen as this all goes on. Trust me kid. I believed you then and I still do now. We'll fix this. Then we can all go home." assured Strange.
S.T.A.R Labs.
Alex and Allegra were having a conversation about Allegra and Chester having feelings for each other until it got cut short.
"Bye bye" said Damien as the two ladies get slammed onto the wall as sparks flew.
Elsewhere Ryan and Chester were working on the new A.T.O.M suit as Damien ambushes then using his dark magic to choke them.
"You had to ruin the surprise didn't you? You find the PED, I'll take care of these two. Hello boys. " Asked Damien with Barry next to him.
Damien tightened his grip while Barry searches for the PED.
Damien has the two pinned on a wall with a picture of Tupac on it.
"Ah Tupac! What an artist" he said.
"I've got it" said Barry
"Already? Wow you and I. What a team" Damien said surprised of how quick Barry found it.
However all of a sudden, their minds were in pain as Cecilie in a mask used her powers to attack Damien and Barry.
"Hurts don't it?" she asked as Damien used his magic to blast her away.
Barry goes to pick up the PED until he sees his hand phasing through it being unable to grab it. Indicating he's running out of time.
Damien takes notice as Barry picks it up again. This time successfully.
"Let's go" said Barry.
"Oh I got a better idea. Imagine how devastating it would be if The Flash to lose his friends on the eve of his wedding. Nothing destroys a man like losing the ones he loves the most." said Damien as he gets taken back to his penthouse by Barry.
As soon as they leave, via a sling ring portal, Doctor Strange and Spider-Man arrive on the scene.
"Oh God. We need to help them and get them to believe us." said Peter.
"Round up the others so I can refresh their memories with the spell" said Doctor Strange.
Peter drags the bodies of Alex, Allegra, Chester, and Ryan as Doctor Strange sling ring portals to the exact locations of Batwoman, Iris, Caitlin, Frost and Chillblaine.
"What the hell?" Asked Batwoman in the defense.
"Strange? What are you doing here? What happened to them?" Caitlin.
"I'm about to explain everything faster than I can actually explain it." said Doctor Strange putting his hands together as he prepares the spell.
With the time stone activated he was successful in the spell.
"Oh my God. Barry was telling the truth." said Caitlin.
"Listen. For now, carry on as normal. I'll keep in touch. If anything try to delay Eobard." Explained Strange as he prepared a Sling Ring Portal.
"What the hell was that?" Asked Damien.
"We got what we wanted. Killing them wouldn't have been efficient." Explained Barry.
Damien only looked dumbfounded at that statement.
"We can kill them later" said Barry.
Damien then uses his magic to choke Barry as he figures it out.
"The Barry Allen I know wouldn't wait which means you're not The Reverse Flash so. Who are you?" Asked Damien as Barry is brought to his knees.
"Don't make me ask you again. Who are you?" Asked Damien tightening his grip.
Lucky for Barry, help arrives in the form of Doctor Strange and Spider-Man.
Peter hits Damien with a kick which causes Barry to be freed.
"Go help Allen. I'll deal with this prick" said Strange conjuring Tao Mandalas.
"I recognize those runes. I thought the Sanctum Santorum was a myth" said Damien.
"Certainly not. You're standing face to face with the Master of the Mystic Arts and the Sorcerer Supreme so I think it would be wise to surrender" said Strange.
"I'd listen to him if I were you. Whatever magic you know he's got you beat ten fold." said Peter.
Damien raises his hand and uses his magic on Peter choking him.
Strange quickly uses a protective spell on him, Barry and Peter to even the odds as Peter can breathe again.
"Impressive. Kinda reminds me of that prick John Constantine." said Damien.
"Believe me we've met" added Strange.
"Thawne is gonna erase me from the timeline at midnight." Explained Barry.
"Man he is good! I mean that's a work of evil art but the question is now what do I do with all of you?" Asked Damien.
"You can still help me." said Barry.
"Help you? No. No I'm the bad guy. I don't help heroes." said Damien.
"But you're also a father. Which means you know what it's like to love someone with all your heart and soul. Like your daughter. Nora." Explained Barry.
"My Nora is dead. I am done listening to you!" corrected Damien.
"She's supposed to be alive. And she is. I'm the timeline I'm trying to restore! In our timeline a demon was gonna take over her soul, but you switched places with her. You gave your own life so she could live." Explained Barry.
"If you're lying to me, I'll see you burn" said Damien handing Barry something. Damien's time stone.
They both held it as it confirms everything Barry said was to be true. He listened to his final moments as Damien sacrificed himself for his daughter Nora.
"It's true. My Nora was supposed to be alive. I sacrificed myself to save her." said Damien.
"So honor that sacrifice. Help us restore the timeline and bring her back." pleaded Barry.
"Let's go to work." said Damien.
