The Flash Armageddon Part 22
Mia Queen-Smoak aka Green Arrow was hitting a punching bag as she was letting out rage and frustration. The sound of her fists were echoing in her mind as she then sensed a presence.
"You want something?" she asked angrily.
Kate Bishop stood there as she began to walk up to Mia.
"Uh hi. I think we got off on the wrong foot earlier. So hi. I'm Kate. Kate Bishop." she introduced herself.
"Mia. Now what do you want?" Asked Mia.
"So...Green Arrow fan huh?" Asked Kate.
"He was my dad." said Mia going back to hitting the punching bag.
"Oh. That actually explains a bit. Well, the others were wanting to know what brings you back to 2021. Let alone how." said Kate.
Peter Parker then walks up to see what's going on.
"Mia." he asked as she turned around.
"Do you remember who I am?" Asked Peter.
"Your face isn't ringing a bell. Your voice however... *flashback to Crisis* you're the guy who liked to talk a lot. The web guy" said Mia.
"Spider-Man" Peter crossed his arms.
"Whatever. Now what do you want? Otherwise get lost!" said Mia.
"Mia we're all friends here. Whatever you're here for we can help you." said Kate.
"My brother went missing. When I was trying to get answers, Thawne told me I already saved my brother. But I can't remember how." Explained Mia.
"What was the last thing you do remember?" Asked Peter.
"It was the night I first put on the suit. I spent a very long time finding any leads I could but the trail kept going cold." Explained Mia.
"Have you...killed anyone?" Asked Kate.
"I will if I have to. For William's sake. Sometimes blood for blood is the answer" Mia explained.
"No. No it's not. From what I know your dad thought the same thing. He would use the darkness inside him and channel it into pain onto others. Mia that's a path you don't want to go down." Explained Peter
"And how do you know that? Hmm? How do you even know the kind of man my father was?" Asked Mia.
"Because a couple years ago I had the pleasure of meeting him and Barry for the first time. Back when a reality rewriting book swapped their lives. I saw first hand the darkness he still had inside him. But he learned to let it go when the time came." Explained Peter.
"Like you wouldn't have wanted to kill someone who took the one who love the most away from you." said Mia.
"I nearly did. My Uncle Ben was murdered right after I got my powers. The one thing on my mind was getting Vengeance for his death. I remember finding his killer and throwing him out a window." Explained Peter.
"So who are you to give me live advice?" Asked Mia.
"Someone who nearly went a dark path. Same as you. Bitter and angry" said Peter.
Mia tried to punch Peter but her fist gets caught.
"Please don't." said Peter.
"Just listen. The point is Parker's Uncle Ben wanted Peter to be better. Probably the same way Oliver wanted you to be better" said Kate jumping in.
Peter let's go.
"You're not the only one who lost their dad. When New York was invaded by Aliens, I was just a kid when he was killed. But then I saw Hawkeye save my mom and I with a bow and arrow. I used that pain and thr inspiration of a hero to become one myself. To become an archer and to be the best at it." Explained Kate.
"Mia. Please. Killing your enemies isn't the way to go. Now Thanwe messed with the timeline so odds are he messed with yours. I know who can help put the pieces back together to bring you closure. If you just promise us one thing. No killing." pleaded and bargained Peter.
Mia closed her eyes and breathed a sigh of relaxation.
"Fine. Now tell me who can help me find my brother." she said
"Peter Parker" said Peter extending out his hand.
Mia refused as she crossed her arms.
"Okay. I get it. We'll work on that as we go along." said Peter.
Doctor Strange was meditating as he floated in the air eyes closed.
"Hey Doc? We need your help" said Peter.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" Asked Strange.
Strange opens his eyes as he sees Peter Kate and Mia.
"I remember you. Oliver's kid." said Strange.
"You're the wizard right? How is it performing for children's birthday parties?" Asked Mia cracking a joke.
"Cute. Now what do you want kid?" Asked Strange.
"Thawne messed with the timeline to the point where I don't remember saving my brother William. Any idea how you can help me find him?" Asked Mia.
"I'll see what I can do." said Strange as he activated his Time Stone.
"You might wanna move closer. He's about to do a spell" said Peter.
"He's right. Mia Queen please move closer" said Strange.
The Green runes surrounded her and Strange as they circle around her. Then the runes entered her mind as they wrapped around her head.
Mia them gets flooded with the missing memories of her mission to save her brother. She remembers her getting help from Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake. Natasha Romanoff. Sam Wilson. Bucky Barnes. Morgan Stark. Sarah and James Rogers. She remembered her encounter with them, the daughter of Taskmaster and her ex fiancé John Diggle Jr. Who took up the mantle of Deathstroke.(Green Arrow\Captain America). She remembered how Bucky, Laurel, Dinah and Sarah saved William. Lastly she remembered working together with James Rogers as they both locked up Deathstroke and Taskmaster at The Raft.
The spell was done as the runes receded.
"Oh God. Thawne was telling the truth." said Mia as she then pulled out the Quantum GPS out of her pocket.
"Take a deep breath. It should all return to you piece by piece. After successfully merging the correct timeline back to your mind, it should readjust as your memories synchronize.
"Hey! You okay?" Asked Peter putting his hand on her shoulder.
She quickly gets his hand off of her as she storms out saying,
"I need a minute."
"I wonder if her dad was always this much of a cold grump." Asked Kate.
"More or less. She really is his daughter alright." said Strange.
"Nah. If her dad could change his ways, so can she. It'll just take some time." Explained Peter.
Meanwhile Thawne is being contained in a cell as Bruce and Caitlin were working on his temporal fading.
"How much longer do I have?" Asked Eobard.
"By our account? Two hours." said Bruce.
"And then you'll fade away" Caitlin adds.
"Two hours until you save me right? Caitlin? Banner? Because you, Barry, Team Flash and The Avengers? You're the good guys. You'll do the right thing." said Eobard.
"Well what if the right thing is the let you fade away so you won't hurt anyone else again?" Asked Bruce.
"Some of us might surprise you" said Caitlin.
"But not you both. You're doctors. You won't kill me." said Eobard.
"No we won't. But we can accept it when someone dies." Explained Caitlin.
"Is that right? How do you forget I know the real Caitlin Snow. You're right where you were years ago remember? Living your safe, orderly life. Preparing for a perfect future with your idiot fiancé. And then *makes explosion sound effect with his mouth* it all came crashing down. And you Doctor Banner. How does it feel to be the cage for a monster that will never leave you for the rest of your life? How could you have the conscious decision to pass that curse onto your sweet lawyer cousin Jennifer. Your only friend back when Daddy would beat you and mommy like a bad habit." said Eobard.
"What is wrong with you?" Asked Caitlin.
"How do you know about that?" Asked Bruce.
"Ronnie was my whole future and he is never coming back" said Caitlin.
"He is never coming back. That's what happened so what about you? You could've moved on. I mean you should've moved on but instead you're stuck here where you were eight years ago, helping Team Flash and Barry Allen, instead of getting on with your life" said Eobard.
"Fine! You want honesty? When I was a resident fresh out of med school one of the first things they taught me, is that sometimes you lose a patient. That death is a part of life. So guess what? It's your turn. Because all the speed in the world can't help you outrun what's coming for you." said Caitlin.
"You'll save me. You'll save me, no you don't have a choice." said Eobard.
"We're not gonna kill you. But we don't have to save you" said Bruce.
"And another thing. I stayed here because Barry and the rest of the team? They're not just friends. They're family. And just so we're clear, what I've been doing for the last eight years is hating you. So if you're looking for someone to save you, look somewhere else. Lastly, I have moved on. Ronnie is never coming back. But that doesn't mean it's too late for me to start anew." said Caitlin taking Bruce's hand as they leave Eobard alone in his cell.
"You okay?" Asked Bruce.
"I'm fine" she assured him.
"I'm proud of you Caitlin. I'm sure it wasn't easy to finally let all of that out." said Bruce.
"No. No it was actually. A very long time coming. Eight years too long." Explained Caitlin.
"I'm sorry that he had to bring Jen into this." said Caitlin.
"I did what I had to to save her life. She was dying after being in a car crash. Blood transfusion was what she needed and I was the only closest relative to help. He wasn't lying about when Jen was essentially my only friend when I was a kid. All we had was each other." Explained Bruce.
Caitlin then hugged Bruce as they embraced each other.
"Maybe. When this is over, you and I could get a drink sometime?" Asked Caitlin.
"Yeah. I'd love that. But lets deal with this first." said Bruce.
