The Flash Armageddon Part 24
Despero powers up his final plan for blowing up Central City as back at S.T.A.R Labs Team Flash and Team Avengers were coming up with the final plan.
"Where's Mia?" Asked Cecile.
"Doctor Strange is fixing her up. Which is good cause we're gonna need her help to take Despero down for good." Explained Peter.
"But what in the world are we supposed to do now?" Asked Chester.
"We beat Despero to the Punch. We Whammy Thawne's speed right now, we make him a permanent Jaywalker before Despero Whammies us." said Allegra.
"Chester where are we with Project Whammy?" Asked Barry.
"Just gotta finish recalibrating your suit" said Chester.
"How long do we have until the timeline resets?" Asked Cecile.
"Few minutes. Maybe less and only if Despero doesn't wipe us out first." said Chester.
"Look we're not losing today. Not our city. Not a single life. I don't know how but there's gotta be a way to stop Despero long enough for Chuck to do his thing so come on. We're Team Flash! What can we do?" Asked Allegra.
"The energy Despero is harnessing is from his home world Kalanor. But even if the energy is alien, the flame of Pythar is still a flame" said Barry
"But what if you could take it like a vacuum and use it for yourself. Disperse it." said Peter.
"I'd still need a way to direct all that every into the atmosphere." said Barry
"Wait. If a delivery system is what you need. I got just the ticket. Okay so you know how the PED redirects energy? Turns out the materials in that puppy are damn versatile. So I've took the liberty of using them to make these" said Chester as he pulls out a small box. Inside that box was a pair of golden boots for Barry's Flash Suit.
Just as perfectly timed, Ray Palmer walks in with a briefcase.
"Hey Pete! I just helped finished up the suit. Just as you designed and asked for" said Ray.
Peter opens up the briefcase and sees his newly redesigned Spider-Man suit. A take on the Stark Tech suit that was first given to him by Tony Stark himself. The Red and Blue with black bands. However, Peter made some. Modifications. Keeping the classic red and blue and loosing the more tech look. Removing the black bands and more emphasis on the red and blue with the webs. Well hidden webshooters. The black spider symbol on the front with the red spider symbol on the back. Practically looked like something out of a comic book.
Peter and Barry looked at their new additions and them themselves.
"Ray. I need for you to tell the others something" Asked Spider-Man.
"What is it?" Asked Ray.
Peter then with a smile said,
"Suit up!"
Barry zooms across the city ad Spider-Man swings through the streets with new looks.
"Perfect fit Chester." said Barry
"Yeah thanks Ray! This suit is AWESOME!!!" shouts Peter.
"Now Flash. Your city dies so that this planet's future may survive." said Despero.
As Despero fires up the flame, it was cut short by a S.W.O.R.D truck driven by Agent Maria Hill hitting Despero.
"Agent Hill of S.W.O.R.D. Stand down and surrender!" shouts Maria.
"You heard the lady, put your goddamn hands in the air motherfucker!" shouts Fury.
S.W.O.R.D units then arrived on the scene surrounding Despero.
Meanwhile Peter swings into a nearby roof a he sees whats going down.
"Barry! It's now or never man!"
"I got it!" said Barry as he spins around Despero to begin the plan.
Barry harnesses the power of the flame as he runs into the air up a building and slams the energy down into Despero.
"It's over Despero" said Barry.
"Not yet Flash!" Despero changes into his Alien form. One final time.
"Doc? All hands on deck!" said Peter.
Just at the call, a large sling ring portal formed behind Barry and Peter.
The two turn around to see none other than Doctor Strange leading the charge with some of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Black Widows Natasha and Yelena, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, Moon Knight, Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, Ant Man, The Wasp, Cassie Lang, Green Arrow Mia Queen, Black Lightning, Batwoman Ryan Wilder, Alex Danvers aka Sentinel, Ray Palmer The A.T.O.M and The Hulk Bruce Banner.
"AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" shouts Spider-Man as the heroes charge together into battle.
Despero powers up his third eye to blast lasers as Doctor Strange conjured shields for the team.
"Protection spell. You're welcome!" shouts Strange.
Hulk hits with a thunderclap that stuns Despero giving an opening.
"We need to keep him off balance. Hit him with everything we got!" shouts Alex.
"First thing first, Alex! Use you're paralysis Ray!" shouts Peter.
Alex does just that as Despero is held in place.
"Bruce! Hold him steady!" shouts Peter as Hulk restrained him from behind.
"Everyone else! Let him have it!!" shouts Peter.
Batwoman and Moon Knight throw explosives onto Despero as Natasha and Yelena used their Widow's Bite as Ray flies in firing energy blasts from his suit. Captain Marvel and Monica go Binary and blast him with Photon Blasts with The archers Kate and Mia firing arrows.
Barry throws a lightning bolt as Spider-Man swings in for a web strike.
Doctor Strange then unleashes a storm of magical energy to try to finish him off.
"ENOUGH!" shouts Despero breaking free.
Jefferson blasts Despero with lightning of his own as Monica, Carol, and Ray all combined their blast attacks into one onto Despero.
Doctor Strange used his sling ring to make portals to allow the others to take turns getting a lick in.
Then as Despero was learning fast, Strange leveled the playing field by changing the script. He used the portal to misdirect one of Despero's punches onto himself.
"Why are you hitting yourself?" Asked Strange.
Alex used her paralysis ray to hold Despero in place. Strange used the Crimson bands to bind him, Spider-Man webs him up to hold him back. Moon Knight and Batwoman used their grapples to help restrain him, Jefferson used his lightning Lasso to hold him too.
"Now!" shouts Jefferson.
Scott in his small size zips around Despero's face to smack him senseless as Hope and Cassie used their stinger wrist blasters to rain down fire.
Kate and Mia took turns firing explosive arrows. But this quickly turned into a trick arrow competition.
Kate fired concussion arrow.
Mia does the same.
Mia fired an acid arrow.
Kate does the same.
Kate steps in front of Mia and fired a regular arrow.
Mia takes offense as she lowers her hood. She then with her eyes still trained on Kate, fired an arrow without even lookin.
Kate then fired a boomerang arrow as she catches it coming back to her.
Mia fired an arrow in the air as it falls back down in front of Despero.
"Oh God. EVERYONE GET CLEAR!" shouts Peter as his spider sense went off.
The arrow was a unique Canary Cry arrow.
Kate then did a corkscrew jump shot as she fired a silly putty arrow all over Despero's face.
Mia then without looking throws a dart arrow as it hits Despero on the third eye.
Kate readies her prototype wrist crossbow Clint gave her as she loads and arrow and also without looking shoot it as it split like a taser.
Mia nods her head as she goes for the most unlikely of trick arrows. She pulled out a boxing glove as used it as an arrowhead.
"Really dude?" Asked Kate.
"Jealous?" Asked Mia.
She fired the arrow as Kate quickly reached for a Pym Particle arrow and shoots it at the boxing glove arrow as the Pym Particles made it grow to giant size as the giant boxing glove lands smack dab on Despero sending him crashing into a nearby building.
"No one likes a showoff Kate" said Mia.
"Unless what they have to show off is dope as fuck" said Kate.
Mia turns around as she had to admit it,
"Fuck! That's true" under her breath.
The heroes gathered together in hopes they won.
"Did that get him?" Asked Ryan.
"I hope so" said Bruce.
"Alright everyone. Good job. We finally took down Despero-"
But the boxing glove started to move.
"The hell?" Asked Peter.
"Despero throws the boxing glove to the side as he was done playing around.
"YOU ALL DEFIED ME LONG ENOUGH! IT'S TIME TO FINALLY DIE!!!" he shouts.
"Great. Now what?" asked Alex.
"Maybe I can trap him in the mirror dimension?" suggested Strange.
"No. I got an idea. My powers are mainly energy absorption. If you all can blast me enough, I can dish out enough power to put him down for good" suggested Carol.
"Carol you sure?" Asked Barry.
"I got this." Carol assured.
Carol powers up her binary form.
Barry, Monica, Ray, Jefferson, all throw their best at Carol as she powers up by absorbing the attacks.
Carol then with all her energy screams out a rageful battle cry as she pushes her binary form further. Her eyes lighted up golden energy as she then cups her hands together to form a ball of binary energy.
"This one is for Kamala. KA-MEEEEEE-HAAAAA-MEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"
Carol shouts as she unleashes a wave of energy as it blasts Despero.
Despero tries to block it but it proved too much as he was no match. Carol amplified her attack as it was enough for Despero to succumb.
"BY THE FIRES OF KALANAR I'LL BE BACK!!!!" shouts Despero as finally one and for all, he is defeated and engulfed in the flame of his homeworld.
"Whoa." said Barry.
"Was that a Kamehameha like from Dragon Ball?" Asked Chester seeing the feed.
"Like I said, it was one of Kamala Khan's favorite cartoons from Japan.
"It's actually called Anime" Chester corrected.
"Chester bud? How are we looking with Thawne?" Asked Barry.
"We got about thirty seconds to save him before the timeline resets" said Chester
"Alright get ready Chester I'm on my way." said Barry as he runs back to S.T.A.R Labs.
Eobard was fading fast. Literally as he was trying to hold on for dear life.
"My speed.. I need more time" said Eobard.
"You're outta time Thawne." said Barry.
"Calibration complete. Go for it." said Chester.
"On my mark lower the shield." said Barry as he charges up.
"Now!"
Chester opens the barrier as Barry takes away Thawne's speed once and for all.
Doctor Strange and the others arrive just as the job was done.
"What happened?" Asked Jefferson.
"There's no trace of the negative speed force left in your body." said Caitlin.
"Barry you did it" said Iris.
"What exactly, did you think you've done?" Asked Eobard.
"We just saved your life Thawne. Don't make us regret it." said Barry
"You think you saved my life? You took my speed. My speed is my life. YOU TOOK MY Life! And left me in hell." said Eobard.
"The world and the timeline will be a better place because of it." said Peter.
Later than night, Damien Dahrk stood as Doctor Strange walked up to him.
"Damien Dahrk. It's time." he explained.
"I know. Just do it already." said Damien
Strange casts a spell to have Damien talk to Nora for one last time in order to keep the timeline intact. After Damien says his heart felt goodbye to Nora, all that was left was him.
"Goodbye Damien" said Strange.
"DOC you coming? Barry is taking us all to celebrate" said Peter.
"Yeah. Let's go." he said.
After a hard fought victory, Barry and Team Flash invited The Avengers and S.W.O.R.D for a celebration. Defeating Despero and Thawne and stopping Armageddon once and for all.
"When was the last time we had a night out like this?" Asked Barry.
"It's been too long." said Iris as she looks over at a woman.
"Is that Nora Dahrk?" Asked Iris.
"Barry Allen. Iris? What am I doing here?" Asked Nora.
"Nora! Honey?" Asked Ray.
"Ray!" said Nora running up to him.
"I don't know what's going on!" she said
"I do. Nora, in order to protect the now restored timeline, Damien Dahrk had to upheld his sacrifice to keep you alive during an encounter helping the Legends. I'm sorry. In the Reverse Flashpoint Timeline, he had the Time Stone after learning you lived in another. So to help restore it, he helped up set it all right. But the cost was he had to die otherwise it would've created a branched timeline. I'm so sorry" Explained Strange.
"We're okay thanks to your dad. Come on. There's a story I want you to hear. Right where the Wizard's left off on." said Joe as he took Nora to get her up to speed.
Barry then takes a fork to clang it on his champagne glass to get everyone's attention.
"Sorry I've never done that. Um, so a lots happened these past few days. The world almost didn't make it. But it did. Thanks to all of you and a dedicated father. We all survived because when faced with our very worst, it's our choices that define us. And the choices we made are why we're all heroes. A wise man told a good friend of mine these great words. With Great Power. Comes Great Responsibility. My friend Pete taught me that. So to making our own destiny, protecting it, and to Peter Parker. For reminding me, reminding all of us, that even when it seems there's no other way, you always gotta dig deeper and find another. For helping to represent the best of us at our worst. For being everyone's Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man." said Barry.
Peter couldn't help but smile as his friends old and new smiled back.
"Um..just putting this out there. I'm still a little too young to drink" said Peter as everyone laughed.
"No seriously though. Thank you Barry. It really means a lot from you" said Peter.
"Great. Does this mean I can finally go back home and my retirement? I'm really getting too old for this shit." said Natasha.
"Not exactly. In my time, you're the new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fly around in a suit of Armor too" Explained Mia.
"Actually Mia that reminds me of something. Guys do you mind if I take Mia out for a bit before we all have food?" Asked Peter.
Peter swings Mia all the way over to the Hall of Justice to show her something.
"Peter you better have a good reason for swinging me all the way out here." said Mia.
"I had Strange help me out with something for ya. Oh and no peaking" said Peter making a blindfold with his web.
Peter leads her inside the hall of justice with a surprise.
"Okay take it off." said Peter.
Mia takes off the web blindfold as to her surprise she sees her dad's suit and bow and the flame to honor his legendary legacy and memory as also some friends Peter called in.
Those friends were Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake.
She stood on disbelief as she broke down in tears running up to her Canary friends for a group hug.
"It wasn't easy but I was able to make a few calls." said Peter walking up to the three girls as all of a sudden Mia gave Peter a hug.
"Thank you" Mia sobbed to Peter.
"Hey don't mention it. Look if you're aren't keen on leaving so soon, maybe you all can come with us to get some food to celebrate. I heard of a great place for superheroes to get a great discount." said Peter.
Mia wiped her tears away as she said,
"Sounds great. Where too?"
Big Belly Burger
All of the heroes and Team Flash all sat down at a giant round table. Costumes and all. Spider-Man with his mask half up. Everyone else just eating in silence. Drinking soda. The employees sweeping around. A hard fought victory. A heavy sigh of relief. Armageddon was no more.
The End. Yes this was an homage to the Shawarma scene from Avengers 1.
