Shrek and The Toa Mangai: Volume 1 The Journey

I'm back with a vengeance, during my four months long hiatus, I have come to realization that I need to be push myself as a writer as well as getting out of my comfort zone, my mother said to me that need to create something original, so I decide to work on a novel. Which it be will coming soon, also special thanks to my new friend in reddit named is Suicidal_Oyster who has a friend that created the MOCs of the seven unnamed Toa Mangai members in the Bionicle lore which were Toa Lhikan's team.

If anyone who is a hardcore Bionicle Gen 1 fan, they should know the lore of the Toa Mangai. The original Toa team lead by None other than Toa Lhikan himself, who protected Metru Nui long before Toa Metru did. Suicidal_Oyster and his friend who is the original writer of The Toa Mangai OCs they both made fanfiction stories in reddit which is their interpretation of the Toa Mangai. I'm only beginning to read the modified version by Suicidal_Oyster and it was great; he sticks true to Greg Farshtey's writing. So, I will do the same. Again, special thanks to him for allowing me to use his modified version of the Toa Mangai characters

Anyway, this was taking place in an alternative Bionicle universe. Where, Tuyet and Nidhiki has yet to betray their fellow Toa (since it's between the timeline: of where they were first come together and Tuyet's betrayal,) and the rest of the Toa Mangai haven't died yet.

In this alternative universe a twist of fate might doom the Toa's home of Metru Nui or perhaps even something greater is at work here.

Act 1: Arrival

Chapter 1: Heroes from Tales of Legends

Pain… Blinding light… followed by Confusion. these were the thoughts of the leader of the Toa Mangai himself, As Toa Lhikan look around to see himself in a forest along with the rest of his team the Toa Mangai, and their Chronicler, the Po-Matoran Kodan who was rubbing their heads, the tall pale Toa of Earth Tokah was the first to speak "where are we, where's that Dark Hunter and why are we in not Metru Nui anymore." The Toa of Air Nidhiki then spoke in a rather sarcastic tone "maybe a better question is where is here?"

The Chronicler Kodan then heard something behind pair of bushes. As he walked toward them, he moves the branches of the bushes and saw the strangest thing. A group of beings with gray metallic armors on them, though they look like Toa only, their armor is on the outside and one of them in which he overheard that one of his men calling him their lieutenant, he wears a helmet unlike the others he didn't come with a mask only a specialized Headwear a metallic helmet and have a certain amount of red fur on his face. Which were weird for Kodan.

While they were loading up three rather strange looking pink, Bipedalism and organic looking beings which these strange looking Toa-like beings were forcing them into a cage then as breaded officer turns around to talk with one of his fellow troops. one of them Spotted Kodan. Who panicked and went to the others Toa "guys went through, the bushes and saw a group of warriors they look organics? And I think one of them Saw me" Lhikan walk toward Kodan kneeling down to his level "were they hostile?" "Maybe they were putting some weird walking, pink, organic looking creatures in cages then-"before Kodan could finished, a voice came from the direction that the Matoran came from.

"Sir, I found the Armored Dwarf, and he's aren't not alone," this caught the Toa Mangais' attention as the soldier with a sword in his right-hand stare at them with contempt, then at least 20 more with sword and one of them have a rather primitive crossbow aiming right at Lhikan, the same officer that Kodan saw was looking at them with absolute disgust. He unsheathed his sword and pointed at them. "I don't know who or what the hell all of you are, but by order of Lord Farquaad I'm authorized to place you all under arrest and place all of a relocation camp." Said the breaded officer, the Toa of fire then stood up walking past Kodan with his hands up, Lhikan spoke in a calm and cautious voice "please we mean you no harm, I am Toa Lhikan, leader of the Toa Mangai and this must be misunderstanding."

The bread officer scoffed a bit "ha, so it speaks in our tongue, good but that won't help you here. you fairy tale creatures are just alike, to me and all of us human. You are all monsters, ugly, disgusting abominations" Lhikan look at surprised "Human" the bread officer looks at him like he's crazy "yes, human your dumb beast that who we are, should I talk slower for you." "I'm sorry, we were teleported from another universe, and now we are in a place we shouldn't be" the bread officer raises his right eyebrow. "Hold on, what the hell do you mean another universe,"

Nidhiki Toa of Air felt like this conversation getting the Toa nowhere he used his mask of Stealth and disappear. As well do as he do best, cause some havoc

"I meant, we even shouldn't be here." Said Lhikan the bread officer laughs again. "Ha, you'd damn right you shouldn't be here fairy tale creatures you and your pals aren't welcome to Lord Farquaad kingdom" Tuyet the quiet, though powerful Toa of Water spoke up finally "what do you mean Fairy Tale creatures?" the contempt looks on the lieutenant's face increases "that you and your pals, freak." Tuyet grow angered by that insult.

Her voice dripped in venom, that even some of the gray armor primates back off in surprised and a bit of fear. "Watch your tongue primate or you and your men will taste my blade." The bread officer laughed and some of the man laughed as well "you, are in no conditions of making threats, monster" Lhikan already know that this won't end well. Lhikan place himself between the anger approaching Tuyet and the disrespectful officer "Tuyet, stand down, we don't want things to get worst." Reluctantly the Toa of Water back down.

"Good keep your woman in check." Lhikan knows that this might ends up into a confrontation with the Toa Mangai fighting these 'Humans', and judging by their looks of these humans these primates are more vulnerable and weaker than the Toa, also, due to the Toa Code, they can't killed the humans and if this argument evolves into a fight, then they might accidentally kill them. Then one of these soldiers notice Nidhiki is missing. "Oy, the gray and green one is missing." The bread looks at the spot Nidhiki was supposed be at, then turn to Lhikan "where is he, you freak?" Before the Toa of Fire could response the question. An extremely strong blast of wind blows the half the platoon of the left to some of the men and most of the hit the trees.

This gives the Toa of Fire enough time to brandish his Fire Greatswords from his back and engage the breaded officer and one officer in sword confrontation. While the other Toa brandished their weapons, while their Chronicler hide in the bushes with his equipment and write down the event of the battle transpired before of him.

The Maripi Eagle on Toa Aahvi's right shoulder take off flying off his being and went up to one of the tree branches for safety as the Toa of Ice join his brothers and sisters in this confrontation. With his arms mounted wristed frost blades and ran to joined Toa Hopara who is currently engaging four combatants as he channels his power over ice and freeze his target as one of them that was about to attack Hopara from behind with twin blast of ice from his frost blades on each of his wrist.

Aahvi ran to aid Hopara as the Toa of Stone is using the Kanobi Pakari the Mask of Strength to further enhance his already superhuman strength, by breaking the swords of the other knights with his Sandstorm axe by strengthen the axe's blows then perceived to bashed the same two with his shield with that same strength, while one of them throw a punch at him, Hopara dodges, however before the Toa of Stone could retaliate, Aavhi fly kick the knight his face knock to the ground and Aavhi freeze him "thank you brother, for the assistance." Then Aavhi push Hopara out of the way as the other knight tries to stabbed Hopara from behind with a dagger, as the Toa of Ice then swung kick the knight at his left temple causing the man to I spin in mid-air on the ground then Hopara uses his stone powers to grabbed the knight by manifest the ground around the fallen knight in a form of a handmade of stone grabbing while him and have trapped in the stone hand, back to Aavhi, he saw another knight wielding a dagger, the knight charges at Aavhi yelling a battle cry only for the Toa of Ice to create a floor of ice beneath the man with one of his Frost wrist blades and the knight fell sliding toward the Toa who fire a beam of ice and freeze the man to his head and shoulders the man shivers. He turns to see Hopara punch his similarly trapped opponent unconsciously "again thank for the assistance brother," said Hopara typically for a Toa of Ice would say "don't thank me just yet."

While Tokah uses the Kanobi Kakama the Mask of Speed and uses his enhance strength, to effectively overwhelmed the five combatants surround him he took a stance, first he speeds up to the nearest one in front of him and punch him with the enough force to knock him down and damage his mask and causing his helmet wide open and the Toa of Earth saw the unconscious man's face his nose. As his nose dripping red and several of his teeth were broken. As he continually uses the mask, he bashes the one on his left, he'd in a burst of speed he combines it with his strength, and his left spiked pauldron, he hit the knight right the face. Scattering the knight torso and helmet, as well as some the arms and legs armor, as the another

Meanwhile the other three Toa of Ice; Kuru, Omoro, and Kroma are currently dealing with five other combatants Kroma readily his Crystal Broadsword as one the of the knights yelled a battle cry and ran toward the Toa of Ice as Kroma calculated the momentum of the sword impact and uses the Kanobi Calix, The Mask of Fate and as the blade meet the Crystal Broadsword the Toa uses the mask to enhance his body to peak physical performance to backflip at which it knock the sword away from the knight's hands and landed backwards on his feet to fire in the spilt-second his ice blast from the Crystal Broadsword freezing him into six think feet of ice, except for his head, the other four look each other and Kuru used Avalanche hammer to swipe the mallet and hit the ground then in a Nano-second he uses the power element ice encase the other two in ice the last one was shaking in fear however, he shake his head to regain his composure and raise (though still in a fright) charge at them only to be froze in a block of ice by Omoro from his momentum javelin.

Now to the other four Tuyet, Naho, Mahuna, and finally Nidhiki are engaging the other five ones. Mahuna fired his Plant Energy Crossbow at the ground in front of the knights, they look at each other in confusion in which Mahuna give them a choice "either leave or something bad will happen" they shrug and all five charges, when Mahuna raised his hands, as three giant roots the ensnared the three knights and Nidhiki make two human sizes tornados to lift the two knights and throw them in opposite direction. And they were smashed with faster than one thought at the branches of the trees knocking them out unconsciously.

For the last knight who look afraid. Tuyet charges the man who charge at her as well, Tuyet parried the blow and knock the sword out of the man's hands, then knocked the man down by performing a 360°D spin kick to the back of the knight's head, adding insult to injuries she kicks the man by the ribcage, denting the plates of his torso armor, where his ribcage was located, flipping him to his back and removed his helmet as she saw the knight's face, he was male he was by far young then Tuyet proceed to put her right knee on the man's neck and put pressure on it. While he struggles to get Tuyet off him and couldn't breathe, Naho saw this and push the Tuyet off the man's neck "Tuyet, have you lost your mind, what in Mata Nui are you doing, sister have you forgotten the Toa code, we don't kill."

(Song ended) Tuyet can care less about the Toa code since she kills before. back at her home island she killed two of the three dark hunters who killed two of her teammates that is where she learned that seeing her teammates to inclines to not uses their full power against the hunters are weak believing a code that so outdated, so hypocritical to letting the enemies take advantage of their no-killing policy. Letting other know of her merciless nature, will lose the advantage of being phrase by her fellow Toa and the Matoran population she might take over if given the chance soon enough. So, with a reluctant sigh she spoke to the man "leave and never darken my sight again." The man only looks at them before running away.

Back to Toa Lhikan who's dueling the breaded lieutenant and another knight. Both engaged Lhikan in a two-on-one sword fight. The Toa of fire, parries, counter, and use his tactical mind to out-maneuver the bearded man and his fellow knight. That Lhikan notices that the latter was inexperienced by the way he swings his sword while the breaded man was the clearly experienced adversary, but Lhikan simply has more experience, since he sees that the bearded officer doesn't have the same amount of battle awareness that Lhikan have. The two knights have The Toa in a sword lock with both of Lhikan's dual wielding Toa Tools, his Fire Greatswords and Lhikan's analysis that allows him to deduce about the primitive beings being weaker than the Toa Mangai were right, as the knights grew tired, and they are clearly struggling of at best to keep up with the Toa's stronger and more reserved physiques.

Lhikan's experience from hundreds of battles in his long lifespan allow him to anticipate they moves and in one, as Lhikan is hardly tired then use the elemental of fire and channel it through his Fire Greatswords as there was a certain orange glow emitting from each of the blades

It melts the knights 'swords and they were in shocked by this, Lhikan took advantage of their detractions by swipe kick the unexperienced knight's feet as well as kick the Lieutenant with enough force cause the human to spin and hit the ground and knocks out the lesser knight with a quick strong kick, soon he turns his attention to the bearded officer crosses the fire Greatswords. then use his power of heat to melt the bearded officer's armor melt though, he was surprised when the man cried in pain. Lhikan immediately stopped and the Toa of fire use the power to absorb the heat and cause the man armor to stiff and harden until he was the man couldn't move.

The knight lieutenant looks shock and frighten "what, the, hell, are you." He said in a scared tone.

Lhikan look at him with pity and sheathed his Fire Greatswords back he then walks toward the stiff lieutenant "A Toa," he simply said as he knocked the human out, with a punch and Lhikan saw the blood coming from nose.

He looks around he sees the knights either left, or knocked unconscious, Kodan look around to see what happen then. heard someone else voice from the same bush that the Knights came from rounded up the pink beings. "Hello, is everyone there," then the second voice came out "ya, is those knights gone." Kodan ran to the bushes and saw the three pink beings wearing hats as there are still in the cage Kodan turn to the Toa Mangai "hey guys, the these talking Rahi needs our help"

The whole Toa team, went to the bushes where Kodan was at saw these Bipedalism-like creatures three at least Lhikan went to their cage, "hello, do you three need help," they all look at Lhikan with a strange look then the right spoke tom him with a rather strange accents "ya, were the ones that scare away those nasty knights away cus, we just saw the other one running away."

The other Toa came out of the bushes, as well as their chronicler Kodan. "Yes, we were the ones who defeated the knights most of them are knock unconscious, and the last one, the lieutenant is also knock unconsciously as well."

"Wow, we must be very good of fighting, what are you guys?" asked the right pink creature Lhikan answer him, we are Toa must specifically the Toa Mangai the middle one spoke finally "oh, what a Toa."

Tokah was the one who spoke "a selected few of warrior who control a singular element and served to protect the innocent." Said Tokah

"Wow, ok so um, are you guys going to let us out." Said the creature of the right as Lhikan used his strength to break a lock and the cage door. the three rahi leap out of the cage. They introduce themselves "so ya we are the three little piggies and we been lock up here because Lord Farquaad think of us fairy tale creatures disgusting things and more fairy tale creatures our friends are being lock away and taken to a concentration camp." The middle piggy explains

Lhikan then asked this "so do you want us to help your friends out." The three little piggies huddle together and discussed their new company, after a minutes, they look at the Toa and said "sure we know where their rounding up the fairy tale creatures. We make our way there and reach them tomorrow morning come now."

So, I realized the ending wasn't perfect but I'm doing the best I can to make awesome next time break out and a donkey I happy to return to be better for writing fanfiction it. I've hope you guys like it if not then I'm revised this chapter to make more sense.
