BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE -V
A girl with white hair and hazel eyes stared at the blonde girl sitting against the wall on the other side of the courtyard from under her umbrella. She had seen the boys picking on her and sent icicles their way, successfully making them run away in fear.
She sighed looking down at her hands making sure her gloves were on completely before looking around to make sure the boys were gone before walking up to the girl with the best smile she could manage with it raining.
Yesterday's training had been like hell, Endeavor had brought in Shoto and made them spar. She body was still aching, new burns spreading across her skin, the bandage peeking out from the bottom of her tights.
Kneeling in front of the frightened girl she made sure her umbrella was covering her so she didn't get any more soaked than before. "Hey," She said softly, watching as Yellow eyes slowly looked up at her, "Are you okay?" She asks quietly and the ash-blonde nods slightly.
Standing up to her full non-impressive height she looked down at the girl, getting soaked as she held the umbrella over the frightened girl she held out her hand for the girl to take, thankfully she did.
Sighing to herself the girl walked along the sidewalk. After walking a couple of feet the girl turned back around waiting for the frightened girl to catch up with her. Walking along the sidewalk the taller girl looked at the shorter one who had saved her.
"Thank you…" She mutters quietly and the shorter girl's eyes widen slightly before looking back smiling softly.
"No problem," She replied handing the other girl her umbrella. Taking it hesitantly she held onto it tightly. "I have someone I need to meet up with, you can come if you want." She said and the taller girl nodded. Muttering something under her breath as she walked to a nearby apartment. Knocking a few times she said something in English to the person on the other side making the taller girl's confusion grow.
Opening the door the older male's eyes widened at the sight of his soaked friend and the frightened girl standing under an umbrella. "Um…" He started causing the oblivious girl to turn towards him. "He just woke up so you can talk to him for a few minutes before we have to give him more painkillers, after that he's out like a light so you'll have to leave okay, princess?" The teen nodded sending her friend a smile before grabbing her umbrella, closing it, and motions for the girl to follow her. Twisting down the hallway the taller girl felt a lick of fear start to bubble up in her chest, the only thing keeping her from having a panic attack was the short innocent girl in front of her.
Dressed in a long yellow raincoat that covered all the way down to her knees and had a hood. She hadn't noticed what was on under it but after it had been discarded at the door, revealing a white dress that went to her knees pink, red, and blue flowers dusting over the design. She could now see her long white hair fell down her back in soft waves, a braid down the middle which wrapped around the rest acting as a hair tie.
Toga Himiko was one to get jealous a lot, over the control people had with their quirks, everyone's ability to communicate and be lovers to haters so easily while she was stuck...alone, all alone. But, as she stood there, being dragged along by this short girl, she felt all worry and panic just wash away. This young small girl wouldn't do anything sinister to her.
Why would she?
Continuing down the hallway the short girl paused for a second before knocking on the door hearing a faint 'come in' from the other side. Not knowing why, Himiko feels panic again, worse than ever before.
Opening the door with a grin on her face she basically hops over to the bed enthusiastically. "Hello again!" She says and grasps onto his hand, trying to avoid most of the cords.
"Hello, young one." The...thing replies. Himiko stood there frozen, her terror showing on her face. She couldn't see its face, a bandage covering all the way down to around his nose. The only thing being able to be seen was his mouth and chin.
"How are you? Have the painkillers worn off yet? The giant out there was saying something about you needing your meds soon…" She said sitting on the edge of the bed, her hand still holding onto his. He just smiled and nodded.
"I'm quite alright, dont worry." He pauses turning his face towards the door where Himiko stood still frozen, the girl seemed to be in a state of deep thought. "You brought a friend along?" He asks and the girl nods, despite the bandages, she knew he had felt her nod. "Come closer please." He says and the frightened girl takes hesitant steps towards the figure, glancing at the younger girl who just smiles enthusiastically. The figure reaches towards her with a pale hand which she holds onto slowly. "You've been wronged before haven't you dear?" He asks and her eyes widen sending a quick glance at the still smiling little girl.
"Y-Yeah, I have been," She states, "but that doesn't mean a thing!" She says quickly and the thing nods, a frown on his bandaged face. A few minutes later of talking about normal things the tall guy comes back in again, saying it's time for the figure to take his meds.
The man asked Himiko and the tall man to leave the room for a couple of minutes while had had a private conversation, afterward they left.
Leaving was much different than when they had come, they walked out of the building after the girl had put on her coat. The smile fading from her lips as a sullen, older look crossing over her face. Sending a sad smile up at the girl she just met today the raining soaking her head as she didn't have her hood up.
The older girl was still holding the umbrella, keeping her from getting wet any further, it seemed as though all words got lost on her tongue as she watched the girl's skin get paler than it already was. Her happiness was long gone. For some reason Himiko felt her heart clench at that, she felt a presence behind her, whipping her head around she saw a mother and a little boy walking out of a store, and when she turned back around, the girl had vanished. The only thing left to prove that she hadn't hallucinated the whole thing was the umbrella she was currently clenching in her hands.
…..
Misaki stood on the roof watching the older girl glance around quickly. She knew it wasn't a good idea to leave her alone in the rain like this, so far from where they had met, the girl would probably worry despite the fact that they just met. Misaki had absorbed the information that her friend at told her. It was shocking, to say the least, but why the older girl was getting bullied made a lot more sense now.
She watched as the older girl continued walking down the street, her umbrella still in hand. Sighing to herself she walked across the roof, silently following the girl home. If anything happened to her, she would be there in a flash.
Because even if they had only just met, they were friends. And that's what friends are supposed to do...right?
…..
Misaki got out of bed with a sigh, she had been up for at least a couple of hours considering she had watched the sunrise from her position in bed. Trudging through her guarded wing of the mansion she hummed quietly to herself. Smiling and waving at any guard or maid she saw on the way.
She continued humming as she made herself an omelet before getting into the shower, standing under the steaming water despite having already finished washing off. It felt good, better than most things did nowadays. Getting back out she brushed her teeth, flicking her wrists watching as droplets of water flew out of her hair, hovering in a big ball of it she flicked her wrist again watching as it dashed towards the shower, splashing against the wall and going down the drain.
Today was the UA entrance exams.
She had passed the written test with flying colors, already studying at the college level, and knows multiple languages. Now she just had had to pass the physical exam.
Fifteen minutes later she was back in her room humming to herself. Grabbing a pair of black shorts, a sports bra, and a black tank top. Tugging them on she grabbed a hoodie and pulled it over her head grabbing a change of clothes and her bag.
Saying a quick goodbye to her guards she waiting by the door for Bruce to catch up. He was assigned in walking her to and from school every day to make sure she didn't get kidnapped or something worse than that.
Still humming to herself she walked in comfortable silence slightly ahead of Bruce. Bruce was a large man, whom she knew could rip her to shreds if he were ever ordered to. In theory anyway, but he wasn't all that aggressive.
Bruce watched the young girl skip down the street humming to herself. He would never admit it, but she quite liked watching this young girl grow up, because of his crazy work schedule while working for Endeavor he never got to visit his nephew. But, he needed money, so there want much he could do about it.
He knew deep down this girl was in pain, he had been to some of her training sessions, seeing the brute force of them, pushing them too and past her limit as a child. That was knowing that Endeavor went easy on her on the weekdays so she could still go to school. Bruce at this point was half convinced that the only reason this young girl was still in school was because whenever she didn't get to go, she got depressed, heartless, and didn't fight back against Endeavors training methods.
Something the girl herself had admitted and complained about with him. The thought made him smile as he felt the sunshine against his face, its warm rays being one of the few things that could make him happy as of late.
Turning his attention back towards the girl he saw her gone. Glancing around (silently panicking) he saw her leaning down towards her head, a frown on her face. Jogging up to her he heard some of what she had said. "Help you okay? Don't worry, your mother will come to get you." Before hoisting the boy upon her shoulders asking if he saw this mother. "I found a little boy who goes by the name of Koki! He's lost and looking for his mother!" She yells loudly, holding the r in mother to get more people's attention.
In came a woman rushing towards the duo, Bruce stood on guard in case she attacked but relaxed when the boy reached his hands out towards the crying woman. "Mama!" He yells and Misaki sets him down smiling softly to herself.
The woman picks up her child hugging him close to his chest, after a few minutes she finally sets him down turning towards Misaki. Hugging the small girl she murmurs some words into her ear before pulling away, holding onto the younger girl's shoulders. "Thank you, I will never forget this deed here today, hero." She says and Bruce watches as Misaki's face lights up brightly and nods eagerly. Walking away from the scene she smiles at Bruce as they continue their walk to UA.
Looking up at the tall gates of her future school she looks back at Bruce, she felt almost at home at this school, having gone here quite a bit when she had free time after school during the week. After a few minutes of staring at the gates, she mumbled a goodbye to Bruce before walking towards the doors.
"Hey, kid!" He yelled causing her to turn back towards him.
"Yeah?"
"You'll rock it out there today, remember who you are, and dont get blinded by the past." He says, smiling she nods in confirmation, before continuing her walk to her future school.
I can't help but think…this year...is going to be one heck of a year. She thought to herself as she felt her smile widen. Yeah...and I can't wait!
