Running. Ruby and Weiss are running for their lives. Weiss looking for something to eat when she came across an egg. She was excited to finally have something decent to eat after a month of nothing but berries. However, the moment she picked up the egg, the mother came out of the bushes and started roaring at her. Weiss ran, but not before she picked up the egg.
"What did you do, Weiss?!" Ruby said. "All I said was to look for more berries! Why did you have to pick up an egg?!".
"I'm sorry!" Weiss shouted. "I'm sick and tired of nothing but berries for the past month! So, when I saw the egg, I thought it was a gift from above. I didn't know that the parent of the egg was a raptor!".
"Well, now you do!" Ruby shouted. "Why did you still grab the egg?".
"It was going to chase us anyway," Weiss said. "Might as well get something for the trouble we would go through".
A similar situation was happening throughout the different groups. On Ren and Nora's side, it seems like Nora learned how to tame a Raptor and was now mounting it along with Ren. Jaune was smiling when he saw this on the camera.
"Let's go, Ren!" Nora said. "We need to look for a new place to set up base. I'm not staying in that spider-infested cave any longer. Especially with that giant spider that I saw".
"It wasn't that bad, Nora," Ren said. "I think you were only hallucinating the giant spider".
"I wasn't!" Nora said. "I swear to Oum, it was bigger than both of us together! You have to believe me!".
"Alright, alright," Ren said. "I believe you. But you do tend to exaggerate details".
"It doesn't matter now," Nora said. "We're leaving anyway".
It was then that the Araneo burst out of the cave. Ren had a wide eye when he saw the size of the spider.
"I believe you, I believe you, I believe you," Ren shouted repeatedly. "Get us out of here!".
"See?! I told you!" Nora said. "Come on, speedy, get us out of here!".
Speedy was Nora's tamed Velociraptor. It is a weird looking Raptor since it has pink on it. Whether that was Nora's addition or it was natural is unknown. When Speedy sprinted, Ren was relieved, but the Araneo was not too far from them and was getting close when he looked back.
"Nora! We need to go faster!" Ren shouted. "The giant spider is catching up!".
"We're already going as fast as Speedy can go!" Nora shouted back. "Maybe if we throw away some of your gross drink ingredients them maybe we would go faster!".
"I will not!" Ren shouted, but he dropped it without hesitation when he saw the Araneo. "There! No more juice ingredients".
"Good!" Nora said. "Faster Speedy!".
The Raptor roared and ran faster. On Nora's face was a smirk. She was the one that attracted the Araneo on their exit of the cave so that Ren would see it and she could make Speedy run at a slower pace. Her objective was always to make Ren get rid of the disgusting ingredients for his 'Healthy Drink'.
Not long later, Ren and Nora passed Pyrrha. Said girl was shocked to see her team on a Raptor. But when she saw the thing behind them, she booked it. She wasn't going to deal with a giant spider.
For Yang and Blake, they were doing great until Yang thought it would be a good idea to mess with a Mesopithecus. She learned her lesson on messing with monkeys because the Mesopithecus flung a ball of shit towards them.
"Why Yang? Just why?" Blake said. "We were doing great. We had a good location for freshwater, we had a source of food from fishes to berries. Why did you have to mess with the monkeys?".
"I was just making faces!" Yang shouted. "How would I know that they would start flinging poop".
"Now we have to look for a new place because our current one is littered with poop," Blake said. "I was really loving the fish that we can catch and eat".
"We can always find another location," Yang said. "I saw a cave not too far from here. I think it was the cave that Ren and Nora were at. Maybe they can share some of their food with us".
"That's over two miles from here," Blake said. "Besides, I heard Ren and Nora shouting earlier about a giant spider".
"Pfft! Come on, Blake," Yang said. "You know Nora tends to exaggerate. Besides, do you believe in giant spiders? Because I don't".
"Really? Yang, we're in another world. Giant spiders aren't that unbelievable," Blake said. "And I'm not going to take that chance".
Blake started to walk in the opposite direction of Ren and Nora's old cave. She made a wise choice. On the other hand, Yang was carefree and lax about their situation. But, soon, she would learn just how difficult it is to survive at Ark: Ragnarök.
In the mobile base that Jaune and the other professors were staying at. Jaune and Glynda monitored the cameras, ensuring that no one's life was in danger.
"It seems like everyone is doing great," Glynda said. "I can see improvement on their survival instincts. However, Yang seems to be quite carefree".
"I see it too," Jaune said. "I think she would learn soon enough that this place isn't all fun and games. She was lucky to have found a great location, but now she ruined it. It will be tough to find another great location".
"Nora and Ren are doing well," Glynda said. "I can't seem to understand how that girl's brain works. But it seems like her gamble paid off, and she was able to tame a Raptor".
"Weiss, on the other hand, is still struggling," Jaune said. "She should have known that the egg would be guarded. I hope this is a learning opportunity for her. As for Ruby, she's too timid. She's too afraid to take small risks, but her survival instinct isn't bad".
"What about Pyrrha?" Glynda said. "What do you think of her performance? She seemed to have left the spider to continue chasing Ren and Nora without thinking of helping".
"That's not true," Jaune said. "Pyrrha did leave the spider to Ren and Nora. However, she saw that they weren't in danger since they were pulling away from it. On the other hand, Pyrrha didn't have any form of mount, and the Araneo was moving quite fast. That's why she booked it".
While Glynda and Jaune monitored the students, Qrow was having a great time in the jacuzzi. As for Amber, she was in another room having a massage. There was a massage contraption on the ceiling. It would come down and give the best massage she has ever had.
"I swear," Glynda said. "Amber is being influenced by Qrow more and more each day".
"Uhm…Glynda," Jaune said. "I think the two are dating".
"What?" Glynda said. "I saw no indication of their relationship".
"Really?" Jaune asked. "Because whenever I see them, they're always together. Just the other day, Amber came out of Qrow's room dishevelled".
"Now that I think about it," Glynda said. "Before we went to Ark, Qrow and Amber were taking missions together quite frequently. I thought they just like working together".
"Right, Qrow, liking to work with someone," Jaune said. "I don't buy that".
While watching the camera, Glynda started rubbing her neck. She was feeling a strain on her neck.
"You know," Jaune said. "If you like, you can go and relax like the other two. Get a massage or have a dip on the jacuzzi. You don't even have to go on the same jacuzzi as Qrow. I have more of them. Or if you like, go for a swim in the pool".
"Thanks for the offer," Glynda said. "However, the student's safety is our number one priority".
"They'll be fine," Jaune said. "I'll be keeping an eye on them".
"I, I…" Glynda said. But the look on Jaune's face told her that there was no refusing. "Huh…Fine, but if you need me, just call for me, and I'll be here".
"Okay," Jaune said. "Have fun".
With that, Glynda went to a room with a jacuzzi on it. She was not sharing one with Qrow. After an hour, she left the jacuzzi and felt refreshed. Glynda then wanted to try the massage room since she's been having a sore back and a stiff neck. After twenty minutes of massage, she fell asleep.
