It is now the fourth month of survival training. Within Ren and Nora's base, a dino head was in one of the walls. This is the head of the Megalosaurus that attacked their previous base that they have now reclaimed. The two were in bed sleeping together as they had an eventful evening. A moment later, they woke up.

"Good morning, Ren," Nora said while kissing him on the lips. "I hope you enjoyed last night".

"I did," Ren said. "And I don't mind doing it again soon".

"He-he-he!" Nora laughed. "Come on, we need to start our day".

Now on to Ruby and Weiss base. If you look around, you will see a Fur Armour that was bloody. Luckily, this wasn't Ruby nor Weiss' blood, but the blood of the Direwolves that they have slain. Look around a bit more, one would see the head of a Giganotosaurus, Manticore and Griffin. All they must do now is slay a Wyvern and a Dragon, and they would be complete with their task.

However, defeating a Wyvern is not easy. One must find a way to lure a single beast away from the nest. At one point, Weiss even suggested killing a baby Wyvern instead of a fully grown one. But, Ruby didn't want to stoop so low as to kill something that hadn't even had a chance to live its life. After all, Wyverns are not soulless creatures like Grimm.

The next problem that Ruby and Weiss have encountered is a Dragon. The majestic creature is known as one of the Ark's strongest creatures. Thankfully, the Dragon minds its own business and won't care for anyone until challenged. Ruby and Weiss once saw a Dragon fly overhead, and they saw a Titanosaurus get bit in the neck and lifted, and with one more bite, the neck of the Titanosaurus was broken in half. Then they saw the Dragon bring the dead Titanosaurus to its nest for food. From there, Ruby and Weiss understood why amazing weapons such as a God Arc and Lambent Light were rewards for the special long-term task because it was the absolute challenge of the survival training.

"We need to figure out how to fight the Wyvern and the Dragon," Weiss said. "They are a creature of the sky. We are beings of the land. How are we going to tackle this?".

"I don't know," Ruby said. "Maybe there is something in the PDA that can help us. But I want to do that as a last resort since I want us to do this without help".

"That sounds like suicide, Ruby," Weiss said. "I know where you are coming from, but we need to be realistic about this. Maybe we can just ask Jaune to bring us back here in the future to prove ourselves against the Dragon, but that is not right now".

"I guess," Ruby said. "But what are we going to look for in the PDA? A Jetpack? A Wing Glider? I don't think things like that are in the PDA".

"Have you met Jaune?" Weiss said. "You need to stop doubting what he has and doesn't have. Because most of the time, it is best to believe that he has something".

"You really think that Jaune has something that'll allow has to fly? Because that sounds crazy. However, this is Jaune we are talking about. He sent us to another world. So, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt,". Ruby said. Then she looked at Weiss and realised something. "You already know he has something, don't you?".

"I do," Weiss said. "There are actually many different things that can help us fly such as Elytra Wings, Jetpack, Angel Ring, etc.…".

"If you already knew that," Ruby said. "Then why did you say we need to figure out how to fight the Wyvern?".

"I don't know," Wiess said. "To get on the topic".

"So?" Ruby asked. "What is the best item that you saw?'.

"The Angel Ring is the best," Weiss said. "It won't add any extra bulk on us. However, it would use our Aura to power it. Thankfully, it doesn't use too much Aura as it only needs it on initial launch".

"That's good," Ruby said. "What do we need to do to get it?".

"We need to find and kill something known as a Yutyrannus," Weiss said. "In the PDA, it said that we need to be careful of it because it can induce primal fear on us. It would cause us to freeze in place for the creature to kill".

"That's horrifying," Ruby said. "So? Where can we find it?".

"According to the PDA, we can find them in multiple places," Weiss informed. "However, the best place is Viking Bay or the Southern Desert".

"Well," Ruby said. "Viking Bay it is. There is nothing in this world that will make me go back to the desert".

"Agreed," Weiss said. "When do we start the hunt?".

"Tomorrow," Ruby said. "For now, we need to do a bit more reading regarding the Yutyrannus. The more details we know about it, the better we can prepare".

Ruby and Weiss did as they said. They started reading about all the info they could get on the Yutyrannus, and if they needed more, they could complete simple tasks to unlock the information they needed.

With Blake and Yang, they searched for food as they had run out. The most accessible food source they can find is berries, but neither of them wants to eat berries again. So, they opted for the next best thing, Dodo. Their area was littered with the flightless bird.

"These things look like chicken," Yang said. "I bet they would tase the same".

"Shh!" Blake said. "We need to be quiet. We don't want to scare the things away".

"Okay," Yang whispered. She then started counting for the jump. "Three…two…one…Now!".

Blake and Yang jumped on their respected Dodo, and they caught it. They celebrated and went back to their base. For people that have not eaten well in the past few days, the taste of the Dodo was luxury food. Any food would taste amazing if they haven't eaten for a while.

"Why haven't we ever caught these things?" Yang said. "They taste great! And there are an abundant amount of them".

"I don't know," Blake said. "I mean, the thing looks like a chicken. I don't know why I never thought of catching it".

"Anyway," Yang said. "What do we do now?".

"I'm not sure," Blake said. "Unless you want to try and beat some of the tasks in the PDA".

"That's great!" Yang shouted. "But do you want to risk safety over rewards?".

"I don't," Blake said. "But I do want to get stronger so that I can better help people. And the only way to do that in the Ark is to do tasks that challenge us".

"If that's what you think," Yang said. "Then we can go easy and do some of the creatures that look like we can take on, then we can go to the big ones".

"That's not bad," Blake said. "Start small, then increase the difficulty after each task. It's too bad we didn't do this in the beginning. I would have loved to take on the long-term task. It even says that you get a special reward".

"There is nothing we can do now," Yang said. "I've seen the long-term task, the creatures on the list are not easy to take on. I've read the basic details on some of the creatures and boy are they crazy. I mean, a Dragon is on that list. I doubt anyone is willing to take on that task".

"I guess you're right," Blake said. "Taking on a Dragon is suicide".

While Blake and Yang were looking for a task to take on, Pyrrha was being chased by a Giganotosaurus, miles away from them. She didn't mean to anger it since she was after the Manticore close to it. The Giganotosaurus was chasing her relentlessly. No matter where she went, it would follow. Thankfully, Pyrrha was faster than the Giganotosaurus. Otherwise, she would be food for the creature.

It took Pyrrha an hour to lose the creature. She then made her way back to the location of the Manticore. There, the beast was resting after eating. She found the creature quite majestic, just like the Myth and Legends of the creature. Back on Remnant, Manticores exist. However, they only looked similar to the beast of legend, with many differences. But this one that she is looking at is as described in the books she read.

All that didn't matter, as it was her prey. She snuck closer to the beast and made sure that she didn't alert it in any way. The reason why she didn't fight the Giganotosaurus earlier is that she wanted to reserve her strength to contend with the beast in front of her.

Once Pyrrha was close enough to the Manticore, she jumped off the tree and mounted the beast. IT woke up and started thrashing around. Pyrrha ignored its attempts at dismounting her, and she stabbed it repeatedly. The Manticore then collapsed in the ground as Pyrrha was able to stab its arteries on the neck, where she continuously stabbed. This was the fastest kill that Pyrrha had done. She was proud of it.

"Whoa!" Pyrrha shouted. "I took down a Manticore of legend on my own!".

"With this," Pyrrha said. "I would get the special Armour reward at the end of the survival training. I wonder what it would look like?".

"I guess all I can do is wait to see it," Pyrrha said. "I still can't believe that I was able to take down the Manticore so quickly".

"Oh, well," Pyrrha said. "With this, I have another task done".

Pyrrha then made her way to her base. In the sky was the drone watching the entire fight. Glynda was shocked that Pyrrha could hold on to the thrashing Manticore because she knew if she was in Pyrrha's position, she would have likely fallen.

"They've improved more than they would have at Beacon," Glynda said to Jaune. "How are they this strong? It's only been months since you started training them, and yet they have a strength that has surpassed most veteran Huntsman, excluding you".

"That's because I don't cuddle them," Jaune said. "I push them beyond their limit each day they train with me. I don't hold back just because their Aura is in the red. After all, the Grimm won't care if your Aura is in the red or not".

"Ha-ha-ha-ha!" Qrow laughed. "That's what I've been telling Ozpin for a long time. They need to teach their students to fight without Aura. It may be a useful power, but it is also a crutch. They expect the fight to end just because their precious Aura was depleted".

"That's one thing I can agree with you, Qrow," Jaune said. "They need to learn to rely less on their power".

"how do you suggest we do that?" Glynda asked. "I don't think any of the students are willing to fight without their Aura".

"If that's the case," Jaune said. "Then they are not fit to be Huntsman and Huntresses. If they don't have the will to fight just because they don't have protection, they are nothing more than cowards. And it is dangerous to have cowards in the field, especially when the going gets tough".

"That's a bit harsh," Amber said. "I wouldn't label them cowards".

Jaune didn't say anything else since they won't admit that their next-generation protectors of the world are cowards. He isn't just labelling them as cowards for no reason.

Jaune has seen some of the students train in the training room at Beacon. Every time they ran out of Aura, they would run away from the training bot rather than push themselves. Some would even hide behind their teammates for protection rather than assist them. So, when Jaune calls them a coward, he means it.
