Everyone in Ark was ready to head back to Remnant a week later. Pyrrha was the most excited since it was there that she would receive her special reward armour. She didn't know what it would look like yet, but since she was getting it from Jaune, it should look great and maybe even has something special.
Jaune asked everyone to leave the base since he needed to store it. Everyone listened, and they left. The moment everyone was outside, Jaune touched the base, and it disappeared. The students were surprised at what Jaune did, but not the professor since they already knew that Jaune could store the base somewhere since they saw Jaune take it out during their first day at Ark.
"It's time to head back to Remnant," Jaune said. and everyone nodded. "Did you enjoy your stay at Ark?".
"For some weird reason, we did," Ruby said. she then looked at friends, and they were nodding at her. "We were able to learn things that we wouldn't in a classroom. Like learning to detect danger before it happens. Pretty weird, I get this weird sensation before something is going to happen".
"Good!" Jaune said with glee. "That's one of the reasons for the survival training. To help you guys gain a sense for danger. One other lesson for this training was feeling the intention of other creatures".
"Just like what happened to the Gigantopithecus and me," Blake said. "I felt that it had no intention of harming me".
"That's right," Jaune said. "You can use what you learned from it with people. Everyone can say what they want, but that doesn't mean that's what they intend. With the new skills to detect intention, you have a way to discern who is trustworthy and who isn't. However, it isn't a be all and end all skill. Some people can hide their intention. Remember that".
Jaune then took out his Stormbreaker, and he was ready to bring everyone back to Remnant.
"I can't wait to return to our dorm," Yang said. "I know that the beds in the base were comfortable, but I still prefer my own bed".
"I'm surprised that none of you has squashed each other yet," Nora said. She knew of team RWBY's 'bunk beds'. "I mean, Ruby and Weiss seem to weigh the same as me, while Yang is heavier, those things should have collapsed".
When Blake heard this, she was scared for Yang to be on the top bunk once they returned to their dorm. Blake didn't want to know what it would feel like to have Yang suddenly fall on her. She looked at her partner.
"When we get back," Blake said. "We're taking down the bunk bed. I'm not having you fall on top of me".
"Fair enough," Yang said. "Nobody wants two-hundred-and-twenty-five kilos (495 lbs) drop on them".
"What?!" Weiss asked in shock. "That's your weight?!".
"Well, yeah," Yang said. "Apparently, our bodies are now three times denser than usual".
"Children please," Glynda said. She was standing beside Jaune. "You can talk about your weight later. For now, we need to head back to Remnant".
"Glynda is right. You girls can talk about your weight later," Jaune said. "For now, I need you all to stand around me so I can summon the Bifrost".
They were about to say something, but Jaune's glare told them that if they tried, they'd regret it. They gulped and followed his order. From there, Jaune summoned the Bifrost, and everyone was whisked away.
As they were travelling, Jaune felt that something was wrong. He let go of Stormbreaker to not get everyone involved and let them continue their flight to Remnant. However, Glynda saw that Jaune knew something was going on, and she held on to Jaune. Both of them were then yanked out of the Bifrost. With Stormbreaker not in his hands, it continued to send everyone back to Remnant.
As everyone arrived at Remnant in Jaune's house, they looked for Jaune and Glynda, but they couldn't find them. That's because Jaune and Glynda were being hurled around in space. Jaune was hugging Glynda to make sure that nothing happened to her. He even used his AoE to put protection around her body since he didn't know if she would survive space without protection.
A few minutes later, they landed hard in a snowy field. Jaune stood up and carried an unconscious Glynda. He used his AoE to make a house instantly. He also made a bed for Glynda to rest on. Glynda wouldn't wake up until an hour later.
"J-Jaune? What happened?" Glynda asked. "I saw that you let go of Stormbreaker. So, I grabbed onto you since I thought that something was wrong going on with you".
"I felt that something was going to happen," Jaune said. "I let go since I didn't want everyone to get caught in whatever was going to happen. I never expected you to grab me".
"Oum! Is everyone else safe?!" Glynda said worriedly. "Without you controlling the Bifrost, will everyone return safely to Remnant?".
"They should," Jaune said. "I commanded Stormbreaker to send them back safely before letting go".
"Thank Oum!" Glynda said. "I thought that something bad might happen to them".
"Do not thank me," Oum said. "I have done nothing to receive that thanks".
"W-Who are you?!" Glynda said. Shocked at the presence of another person. "And what you mean by that?".
"This is Oum," Jaune said. "You know, God Oum. He was actually the one that brought us here".
"It was the reason we're here?!" Glynda said. Jaune nodded. "Why?".
"First of all, I'm a he, not an it," Oum said. "Secondly, I was only supposed to bring Jaune. I apologise for getting you caught up in this. I would have loved to ask for Jaune's help without the kidnapping. I've tried everything to look for help, and when I felt Jaune, I had to bring him here. However, I'm growing too weak to break through the barriers of reality and head to your world. I had one chance to bring him here, and that was when he was travelling back to your version of Remnant. Even then, I used most of my powers to bring him here. For that, I apologise".
"Don't worry about it," Jaune said. "I understand why you did what you did. You had no intention to bring us harm".
"Still, I am sorry for doing it," Oum said. "Even if it was for a good reason".
"I'm confused," Glynda said. She didn't understand what was going on in front of her "Jaune? What's going on?".
"We're on a different version of Remnant," Jaune said. "And the development of things aren't going well. Vale was attacked and nearly destroyed, and Beacon fell. Lionheart is a traitor and Haven fell. Now, it's Atlas turn to fall".
"Was it her?" Glynda asked. Jaune nodded. "That means we fail".
"No," Oum said. "The things that have happened in this world aren't necessarily the things that will happen in your world. After all, you have Jaune with you, and it is the reason why I brought him here".
"But wouldn't this world have a Jaune as well?" Glynda said. Oum nodded. "Then what difference would ours do?".
"Ah, you are wrong about something, Glynda," Oum said. "The Jaune in your world is different from the Jaune in this world. They're worlds apart. See it this way, your world's Jaune is like a Dragon, but the Jaune in my world is like an ant. They are of a different breed".
"Why a Dragon and an ant?" Glynda said. "Wouldn't it be a lion and a mouse?".
"When you meet this world's Jaune," Oum said. "You'll understand why I used such different creatures to compare with him".
"By the way," Glynda said. "Where are we?".
"We're on Solitas," Jaune said. "I created a place for us to stay here since you were knocked out, and I wanted to put you down somewhere comfortable".
"T-Thank you," Glynda said with a blush. "You didn't have to do that".
"I didn't, but I wanted to," Jaune said. He then saw Oum flickering out of existence. "What's wrong?".
"Like I said earlier," Oum said. "I used most of my powers to bring you here. I'm already dying".
"I can help you," Jaune said. But Oum shook his head. "Are you saying I can't, or do you mean something else".
"I know you have the power to help me alive," Oum said. "However, I've already accepted my death. It's my time. I've only held on for as long as I could because I wanted someone to help me save this world. And now that I've done that, I've accepted the inevitable. I know it is a lot to ask, but please, help save this world".
"I can't promise that I'll be able to save it," Jaune said. "But I'll try what I can".
"That's good enough for me," Oum said. "Thank you, Jaune Arc and Glynda Goodwitch".
Oum then dissipated into white light. Jaune and Glynda stood around to have a silent prayer for the God. Wishing him a great afterlife. Glynda couldn't believe that she had met Oum in person. That wasn't something she ever expected to experience in life.
