EXT. SPACE
The screen shows a spatial view of Earth's moon in space.
The audience is amazed and astonished at the spatial view of Earth in space.
"Whoa!" Hange exclaims as she starts to drool in excitement. "So, this is how your planet look like, right?"
"Yup. And like in your book has written, Armin. The ocean covers more than 70 percent of the surface of our planet." The historian says. Eren, Mikasa, and Armin marvel, and they are observing the Earth from a space perspective.
"So the blue on the planet is the ocean." Armin mutters in shock. He bet his grandfather and his parent would love to see the view.
"Hang on, people. The tour isn't over yet!" The Historian excitedly said as Hange shockingly gasped.
"Wait!" Hange yelled in excitement. "So we are gotta see more of this?!"
"Damn, Four Eyes!" Levi groans as he checks his ears if it started to deaf yet. "There is no need to be loud."
"Yup, and save the question for the end of the tour." The Historian said as the audience is curious and excited to visit Earth.
The screen shift towards Earth and rotates around the planet, zooming down on into the horizon. And into a large island known as the British Isles.
The screen zoom into Great Britain, and then it suddenly shifts and shows the Big Ben clock tower at the Palace of Westminster, London.
"Oh. And ladies and gentleman. Welcome to London, the 21st century." The Historian presents his audience to London.
EXT. LONDON
The clock tower strikes at 7 A.M as Big Ben chimes, showing the outside of the Palace of Westminster, along with bustling streets full of cars and people as they begin to start their daily lives. The screen shows one of the busy streets in London, where people are doing their daily work and lives. Various vehicles like cars, buses, trucks are driving on the road while many peoples walk on the sidewalks and crossroads in busy streets.
The Scouts were stunned, gaped, and eyes wide to see the bustling streets of London city along with new things that have never seen. Horseless carriages with different sizes of a wagon, the Palace, and many peoples are walking down the streets and intersections in relief and comfort. They all have the same thoughts in their heads is this is the world without Titans. And to see the humanity on Earth are thrived and prospered.
Dina and Amelia, despite they have seen cars, trucks, and public transportation in Marley. But to see a city full of advancements and their technology is far more ahead of Marley. Frankly, they are amazed to see a lively city in an alternate world for the first time.
Amelia could feel her mouth start to crack a smile as she felt glad to see a world without Titans.
The screen shows the daytime of London, a morning full of excitement and vitality, where the Londoners are either going to works or hanging out at the pub, the park, the restaurants with their relatives, friends, lovers, and acquaintances. Then it shows the view of London city, where various buildings and housing, including old and new. Then it shows the Tower Bridge under the River of the Thames, where many boats and ships are sailing with people on it as they are enjoying the view.
Then it shows the skies of London as the Boeing 777 plane is flying, and inside of it are full of passengers.
Once again, the Scouts are stunned and shocked to see a flying ship in the sky, which Hange faint in excitement as Levi tries to wake her up. They all wondered how does it fly up high in the sky? Amazingly, they will say.
Dina and Amelia are surprised to see it too. They have seen biplanes in their world, but in this world, they see a giant plane with only one wing and probably contained more than a hundred people in there.
Finally, it shows the night in London when the city is lit brightly with electricity. Every building and house, including Big Ben and the Tower Bridge, brighten up. Making the city of London is even more beautiful at nighttime. The streets are still bustling as the Londoners all clink their cups and drink beer in the pubs as they enjoy the view in the night.
And now, the audience is in awe and amazed to see London still lively in the nighttime. With buildings and houses are brighten up by electricity. Londoners still walk on the streets in the evening, enjoy the view surrounding them. Nonetheless, London is even more beautiful in the evening with bustling streets.
"So..." The Historian stands up and faces toward the audience. "What do you think of the tour in London?"
"ITS AMAZING!" Hange screams in excitement. "We have so many questions to asks you about London."
"Yeah." Eren agrees. "Like what are those horseless carriages is?"
"How does it moving on its own?" Petra adds.
"Forget that. I want to asks about the flying ship we just saw?" Mikasa asks.
"What about London being light up in the night? How do they do that?" Armin asks.
The Historian and Charles smile at each other as he speaks to his cat. "I know Charles." They nod each other before Historian addresses his audience. "Okay, okay. I know you guys have a lot of questions and to make easy for you to understand. I will teach you the many basic things on Earth, okay?" The audience nod. "Hange, please take this note and pen to write down everything I say."
He pulled out a note with a pen, threw it at Hange, which she catches it with ease as she grinned. "Yes, sir. I will listen and write down everything you said."
The Historian smile. "Good." He clears his throat and takes a deep breath to teach them about Earth. "So, the first thing you saw is a car..."
One hell long explanation later...
"And this is how smartphone and cellphone work." He explains as he handhold his smartphone before putting it back in his pocket. "Now, any questions?"
The audience has nothing to say as they are speechless after lean the basic things about Earth. The horseless carriages were known as cars, vehicles, transportation, the flying ship or called the plane can transport more than hundred of peoples. And of course, the London city, like many places on Earth, is lit by light bulbs, an invention and a device that produces visible light from electric power. And in addition, they get to learn more about the clock tower Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, and the Palace of Westminster, the proud and famous landscapes of England, or Great Britain.
In the end, they were in awe and astonished when learning and observing Earth, a land free of Titans, and humanity are thrived and prospered, just like what they had just seen in London.
"Shit..." Levi utters as he is utterly surprised.
"I know, right?" Petra agrees with her Captain.
"Ho ho ho, man." Hange exclaims in excitement as she is more fascinated than she is. "Learning and watching your world is even more fun and interesting than testing Titans. I gotta say, this really took the cake." Hange comments.
"Yeah. But the fun is not over yet. There are something far more awesome, interesting, and remarkable than just basic things." The Historian smiles said as the audience is thrilled and eager to learn more about his world.
"Then, what are we waiting for?! Let's watch!" Eren exclaim. They are excited to learn more about Earth.
The Historian walks back to his seat and quietly asks Amelia as she is still dazed. "What do you think about it, Amelia Fager?"
"Its... amazing." Amelia said as she could feel her heart hyped up. She clenches her dress to keep her down.
Historian smiles. "I told you so. This a golden opportunity for you, and you should treat this as a bless." The Historian ruffles her hair as Amelia is now more curious about everything.
INT. HENRICK'S, BASEMENT
The screen shows a young woman, 19 years old, with blond hair and have a face resembling Bad Wolf walking down to a basement that is full of mannequins.
The audience is shocked to see a woman who looks like the Bad Wolf has summoned them.
"Who is that?" Petra asks as she points at the blond-haired woman.
"Her name is Rose Tyler." The Historian replies.
"Rose Tyler." Hange mutters as she writes the woman's name in her notebook, fascinating to see a woman have a face resembling Bad Wolf.
"Who is she?" Erwin asks.
"She is just an ordinary girl with an ordinary life that have a job, a mom, and a boyfriend." The Historian answer as he shrugs his shoulder. "Fair to say, she is a commoner."
"Then why does she have a face like that madwoman?" Levi curiously asks as he narrows his eyes on Rose.
"There is more than you think, Levi." The Historian reply.
"But, what is her connection to the Bad Wolf?" Dina asks.
"As I said, there is more than you people can think of. Far more than you can imagine. So keep watching." The Historian said.
While the Historian is busy answering the question, Amelia is shocked to see Rose have a face resembling Bad Wolf. But then, she feels something from Rose. Something familiar, as if the woman in front of her is unique, but she doesn't know what. It makes her curious yet mystified at Rose Tyler.
'There is something special about her.' Amelia thoughts.
Even though the Historian gave a skeptical answer to the audience, but they all had one thought. 'Rose. Who are you exactly?'
ROSE: Wilson? (Goes further down the corridor). Wilson, I've got the lottery money. Wilson? (Knocks on a door that says "HP Wilson CEO"). You there? Look, I can't hang about 'cause they're closing the shop. Wilson! (To herself): Uhh, come on!
There is a sudden sound further along the corridor. Rose immediately snaps her head in the direction it has come from.
The audience was jumping at the sudden.
"Why do I have a feeling something bad is going to happens?" Levi mutters as his instinct never fails him. He always trusts his gut instinct when combating Titans and Abnormals, and he could tell Rose isn't alone in the basement.
ROSE (CONT'D): Hello? Hello, Wilson, it's Rose. Hello? Wil... Wilson?
She stops outside a fire door for a moment and then opens it, and finds herself in a room that looks as though it is used for storing shop dummies. She turns the light on and walks further into the room.
ROSE (CONT'D): Wilson? Wilson?
She tries another door at the side. The fire door through which she entered closes abruptly. Shocked, she runs back and shakes the handles, but they will not open. There is a small sound from behind her.
ROSE (CONT'D): Is that someone mucking about? (Goes back into the room). Who is it?
Behind her, a dummy slowly turns its head of its own accord. Rose turns around just in time to see it step out of its alcove and towards her. She backs away slowly.
The audience was shocked and eyes wide as they saw a dummy move by itself. Meanwhile, Hange is crazily writing her notebook, excited and morbidly fascinating to see a moving plastic mannequin.
"What the fuck is that?!" Eren shockingly asks as he points at the dummy.
"I know those guys." The Historian spoke as everyone was interested in new knowledge. "And before you asks, I am a scientist and a researcher. So I pretty much know about them."
"Oh, good." Hange exclaim as her eyes is full of stars. "Care to explain us about them?" She ready her pen to write down her notes.
"They are known as the Autons, robots that resembled plastic shop-window mannequins. And I believe I have explain to you about robots, right?" The Historian said to Hange as she nods her head enthusiastically.
Hange and the others were amazed to see humanity from Earth have invented robots. Mechanical machines are capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. Heck, they even build a human-like robot from metals. The Historian shows them the example of robots in the exhibit and automatic mechanical machines in industrial factories and workplaces from pictures. Honestly, they were even more surprised to see how humans from Earth have achieved advanced science and technology.
"But, I don't think those robots resembled mannequin made by humans." Levi flatly said. "I don't recalled robots are made of plastic, right?"
"Ah." The Historian grins. "You have figure out sooner than the others. Nice job. Acutally, the Autons are more advanced than the human current technology. So, they are not from Earth."
"Wait a minute!" Petra interrupts. "So you saying that they are..." The Historian finished her sentences before she finished.
"Aliens." Everyone was shocked as some of their eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. "They are aliens."
"What kind of people are they?" Hange asks as she is more excited to learn about aliens.
"From my experience, they are created as mindless soldiers but very hostile." The Historian explains.
"So they are not friendly at all." Erwin concludes as Historian nods.
Amelia thinks about the Auton for a moment which a light bulb above her lights up. "They are like Titans." She utterly said as everyone looked at her while the Historian's brows raised.
"What makes you think the Autons are like Titans?" The Historian asks her in an assertive tone.
"Well, isn't that obvious?" Amelia points at the Autons. "You describe them as mindless and very hostile. Like Titans, they have no tactical thinking, no significant cognitive process in their minds." She states her opinions as the Scouts think about her words until they agree with her.
"She is kinda right." Armin said. "I mean, we all have learn about Titans at the training camp, right?" He asks his friends as they nod.
"I have said it before, and I said it again." Mikasa spoke in coldly tone. "The aliens are either like us, Humans. Or monsters that simply see us as food like Titan do."
"Aw man." Eren sighs in disappointment as well as Hange. "I thought aliens are cool. But instead we are seeing an mindless and hostile species toward humans."
"Me too, Eren." Hange adds as everyone in the room agrees with Amelia and Mikasa's words.
The Historian loudly coughs, gaining everyone's attention as he lowers his sunglasses down, showing his offended expression to them as his brows furrowed. "That is really offensive. No wonder your place always got infested with those creatures out there that has no origins whatsoever."
Somewhere in the Whoniverse.
"ACHOO! Blimey!" The 13th Doctor sneezed in her TARDIS. She felt a Deja Vu and was offended when she was in her previous incarnation, something about being compared to a monster like in the "Alien" movie in the North Pole. She has said the same thing to the guy named Albert. Unfortunately, he got killed by the Dream Crab.
The Doctor then looks at a framed selfie that shows her and her old friend standing together, smiling for the camera. She smiled at the picture. The Doctor remembers the times the Historian with her had many adventures together. She is wondering how he is doing before she shrugs her shoulders. Like her, he got a ton of journey and troubles on his own. She chuckled at the image. Both of them have a common thing is they are a cyclone of calamity.
Now, what is she doing again? Right. Another adventure as she flickered switches at her control room.
Back at the theater.
After the Historian spoke his words, they confuse about why does he felt being offended. They state the obvious.
"Uh, why do you felt offended, Mr. Historian?" Petra curiously asks.
The Historian didn't say anything as his thumb pointed to the screen. The audience quickly understands what he meant when Eren tries to explain logically.
"Its irrelevant. We don't mean to offended you when we compare the aliens to Titans. You are a human from an alternate world. Like us." Eren said.
"If I from an alternate world and stumble on your world, then I can consider myself as an alien or outsider from your people standard views." The Historian retorts as he folds his arms.
"But this is different. You are a human like us, while the Autons or aliens are like Titans. We can make an exceptional for human from another reality." Eren argues back.
The Historian was silent as he sulked and glared at the audience while quietly muttering in English. "They dared to look at me and call me an ape. Unbelievable."
Levi sighed in annoyance and said. "Can we please continue to watch? I don't want to hear any pointless argument anymore."
ROSE (CONT'D): Heh... You got me, very funny.
The dummy says nothing and does not stop advancing. Two more join it.
ROSE (CONT'D): Right, I've got the joke! Who's idea was this? Was it Derek's?
The dummies still advance. Another comes from behind.
ROSE (CONT'D): Derek, is it you?
All of the dummies are now alive. Rose backs up away and trips over a box. She quickly pulls herself up again and backs against a wall. The dummy lifts its arm to strike her.
"Yep. Definitely not friendly." Levi sarcastically said as Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Petra are braced themselves to see Rose was about to be killed.
Rose screws her face up ready for the blow when a hand grabs hers. Rose opens her eyes and snaps her head to look at the owner of the hand. A man in his early forties, large ears and nose, pale blue eyes, strong cheekbones, a small beauty mark on his right cheek, and dark brown hair, which he wore close-cropped, wearing a battered black double-breasted leather jacket with v-neck jumpers pulled her hand as he said.
THE MAN: Run!
The audience sighed in relief to see a man who happened to be there have saved Rose.
"Thanks Maria. That man just rescued her in time." Eren exclaims.
They run, just in time, through a fire exit after a dummy cleanly cut off a red pipe that was where Rose's head once lay. The dummies are in pursuit. The Doctor leads her into a lift.
INT. HENRICKS, LIFT
The doors close on one of the dummy's arms. The Man pulls it off and the doors close.
ROSE: You pulled his arm off!
THE MAN: Yep! (Tosses it to her): Plastic.
ROSE: Very clever, nice trick! Who were they then, students? Is this a student thing or what?
THE MAN: Why would they be students?
ROSE: I don't know...
THE MAN: Well, you said it! Why students?
ROSE: 'Cause... to get that many people dressed up and being silly... they gotta be students.
The Man grins. He likes her.
THE MAN: That makes sense! Well done.
ROSE: Thanks.
THE MAN: They're not students.
ROSE: Whoever they are, when Wilson finds them, he's gonna call the police.
THE MAN: Who's Wilson?
ROSE: Chief electrician.
THE MAN: Wilson's dead.
The audience winces when they learn Rose's manager is dead, and they know for sure he was killed by the Autons.
"Poor Wilson." Petra sorrowfully said.
He steps out of the lift. Rose follows him.
INT. HENRICKS, CORRIDOR
ROSE: That's just not funny, that's sick!
THE MAN: Hold on! (Pushes Rose to the side). Mind your eyes.
He disables the lift with his sonic screwdriver.
"EHHHHH!" Hange delightedly shrieks at the small metallic object with a blue light. "What is that tube object thingy?!"
"Dammit Four Eyes. You don't have to yelled so loud." Levi annoyingly said.
"Historian! Please tell me what is the man holding is?!" Hange excitedly asks.
The Historian chuckles as he likes her enthusiasm for science. "Its a sonic screwdriver. It can do a lot of things like scanning, unlocking or locking a door, flashlight, burning or cutting substances, disarming weapons and electronics, and many things. But most importantly, it caused no harms."
The audience is in awe and curious at the sonic screwdriver. Especially Amelia is intrigued about the small yet mysterious device that disables the elevator. But then, something clicked on their minds when they thought of his last sentence.
"Wait, it caused no harms?" Dina asks in surprise.
"Yeah. So...?" Historian shrugs his shoulders.
"So, how is he supposed to fight those things?" Petra asks in incredulous when she and the others are in disbelief to see an unarmed man who saved Rose.
"Eh. Sooner or later, you guys will find out. After all, he is known as the greatest man in the universe." The Historian said. The audience couldn't believe the man on the screen was the one Historian preluded.
ROSE: I've had enough of this now!
The Man walks off.
ROSE: Who are you, then? Who's that lot down there? I said, who are they?
THE MAN: They're made of plastic. Living plastic creatures. They're being controlled by a relay device in the roof. Which would be a great big problem if I didn't have this. (Shows her an electronic device).
"Woah. What is that thing?" Hange asks out of curiosity.
"Its a bomb." The Historian answers her question.
"What's a bomb?" Levi confusingly asks.
"I thought you guys know what is a bomb is? Don't you guys supposed have invented it many years ago and put them in your arsenals?" The Historian asks with a raised brows.
"The only weapons are available in our arsenals are flintlocks muskets, pistols, and ODM gears." Erwin explains as he is also interested in the bomb. "Pardon us, but we never heard nor know what a bomb is."
"However, since you are here, then can you explain us what a bomb is?" Hange said as she ready her pen.
"Fine." The Historian shrugs his shoulders. "A bomb is an explosive weapon that uses the exothermic reaction of an explosive material to provide an extremely sudden and violent release of energy. The explosive charge in most conventional bombs usually consists of TNT, RDX, ammonium nitrate, or other high explosives and chemicals in combination with each other to create a huge explosion than gunpowders." Hange writes in wildly before she asks him another one.
"How huge the explosion is?" Hange asks.
"Big enough to blow a building, or a hole in your Wall. Or better, blow up a Titan's nape into smithereens." The Historian explains.
The Scouts and Dina are shocked and appalled to learn how effective and dangerous the bomb is but astonished at how deadly to the Titans. However, the Scouts wonder if they can make a bomb by themselves and use it against the Titans. Even so, they need to be careful when they make one. They are not planning to kill themselves when they make bombs.
Meanwhile, Amelia wasn't surprised and fazed by bombs. She has seen how the Mid-East Alliance manufacture many anti-Titan artillery to counterattack the Pure Titans waves and the Nine Titans from Marley. It's pretty normal to her.
THE MAN: So! (Opens fire exit for Rose). I'm going to go up there and blow them up, and I might well die in the process. But don't worry about me, no. Go home, go on! Go and have your lovely beans on toast.
EXT. HENRICKS
Rose goes through the door.
THE MAN (CONT'D): Don't tell anyone about this, because if you do, you'll get them killed.
He shuts the door. Rose turns away looking slightly bemused. It opens again.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): I'm the Doctor, by the way, what's your name?
"Doctor Who?" The audience asks as their eyes just blinked and raised brows at such an odd name again.
"Historian Who?" The Historian jokingly said when he let out a small burst of laughter.
The audience looks at him, and the man is now known as the Doctor in questionable. Well, they both have weird names which consider as titles.
The Historian chuckles as he speaks. "That was his name. His name is the Doctor. And I am the Historian."
"...You peoples are freaks." Levi said as he recalled the encounter with the Bad Wolf and the Historian. And now, he sees another one.
He thinks this day couldn't be weirder than he thoughts.
ROSE: Rose.
THE DOCTOR: Nice to meet you, Rose. Run for your life.
He shuts the door again. Rose runs. Outside, nobody knows what is going on. Rose is distracted and nearly gets herself run over by a taxi.
TAXI DRIVER: Watch it!
Rose proceeds to get as far away from the building as possible and looks back just in time to see the top floor blow up.
The audience gape to see an entire building blown up by a bomb that the Doctor had. Now everyone sees how potential the bombs are, especially a building got exploded. Making Hange shriek in excitement and morbidly fascinated at the bomb. The audience gape to see an entire building blown up by a bomb that the Doctor has planted. Now everyone sees how potential the bombs are, especially a building got exploded. Making Hange shriek in excitement and morbidly fascinated at the bomb.
"OH MY GOD! DID YOU JUST SEE THAT?! HE... WITH HIS SMALL DEVICE, JUST GOT THAT BUILDING EXPLODED! AMAZING! I WANT ONE NOW!" Hange screams in excitement. Then, Levi knocks her out while he is checking both his ears if they start to bleed.
"Goddammit, Four Eyes." Levi said.
"Gosh, she screamed so loud." Dina groans as she also checks her ears.
"I think my ears is still ringing." Amelia comments as she picks her ears and asks Eren. "Does she always like this, Eren?"
"Yeah, you will get used to her freaky eccentric nature." Eren replies as he and the others used to Hange's freaky nature, but not her shrieks.
"Hahaha. Lucky I got these." The Historian grins as he points to the headphones he wears.
"Since when do you wear it?" Petra asks.
"When you guys are watching the explosion. Duh." The Historian reply.
"Can I have those, please?" Levi asks to borrow the headphones, which Historian complies with and throws him another one. "Thanks. You could have give me sooner, you know."
After the audience checks their ears as Hange has woken up from the unconscious. Mikasa suddenly realizes there is another person in the burning building.
"Wait. What about the person who name is the Doctor?" Mikasa asks as the audience realizes the Doctor was in the building when it exploded.
"Oh my god. You're right, Mikasa. He was in there when it blown up." Armin horrifyingly said.
"Such a shame." Levi bluntly said. "We just saw him a few minutes ago, and then he died in the explosion."
"Well, he did say that he might well die in the process. He have done it to killed the Autons." Petra voices her opinion.
"He died like a soldier. Just like ours when we faced the Titans." Erwin humbly said when he and the others at best could do, is to respect the Doctor and his efforts to stop those alien monsters.
Unknown to them, the Historian tries his best to hide his giggle.
She runs home - past a police box.
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
News 24 is on the television. Rose is sitting on the sofa, watching it.
"Oh, so that's a TV look like." Hange comments as she remembers what TV is.
REPORTER: The whole of Central London has been closed off as police investigate the fire. Earlier reports in the...
The dummy's arm is lying on a chair. Jackie, who is Rose's mother walks in holding a phone to her ear.
JACKIE TYLER: I know, it's on the telly! It's everywhere! She's lucky to be alive! (Hands Rose a mug). Honestly, it's aged her. Skin like an old bible. Walking in now you'd think I was HER daughter! Oh and here's himself...
Mickey, who is Rose's boyfriend, appears in the doorway.
"Why is his skin so dark?" Petra curiously asks as everyone, except Dina and Amelia, wonders the same thing.
And then, they look at the Historian as he shrugs his shoulder and replies. "I don't know. Why don't you ask God?"
"God?" Armin asks with raised brows.
"Who is that?" Hange asks.
"The eternal being who created and preserves all things, transcendent and immanent being, in short, He is the one who made us all." The Historian explains as the Scouts gaped at him, not knowing what to say but continuing to watch the episode.
MICKEY SMITH (to Rose): I've been phoning your mobile, you could've been dead! It's on the news and everything! I can't believe that your shop went up!
He hugs her.
ROSE: I'm alright, honestly, I'm fine! Don't make a fuss.
MICKEY: Well, what happened?
ROSE: I don't know!
MICKEY: What was it though, what caused it?
ROSE: I wasn't in the shop, I was outside, I didn't see anything...
"Very well." Levi nods in approval. "She has follow the Doctor's request not to tell anyone."
JACKIE (walking in): It's Debbie on the other end, she knows a man from the Mirror. Five hundred quid for an interview!
ROSE: Oh that's brilliant! Give it here!
She takes the phone and hangs it up.
JACKIE: Well, you've gotta find some way of making money. Your jobs kaput and I'm not bailing you out. (Phone rings again, Jackie answers). Beth! She's alive! (Leaves room). I tell ya, sue for compensation! She was within seconds of death...
MICKEY: What're you drinking? Tea? No, no no, that's no good, that's no good. You're in shock, you need something stronger.
"Alcohols?" Eren suggested, making everyone look at him oddly. "I know a friend from the Garrision unit named Hannes. He always drank irresponsibly at his duty post, and usually excuses that he need a drink to reducing stress and sleeping well."
"I would prefer tea." Levi shruggingly said when he joined the conversation as well. "At least, I would not get drunk."
"I am more into coffee, especially Espresso. Always grab a cup of coffee in the morning." The Historian said as the audience agreed with him after they heard about coffee. And then they continue to watch the episode.
"Which reminds me..." Historian quietly said when he quickly searches in his coat and grabs a Zojirushi SV-GWE50 Stainless Steel Mug. "I always drink coffee when I wake up." He said to himself. Then he opens the lid and pours the can down the cap, conveniently into a mug.
ROSE: Why?
MICKEY: You deserve a proper drink, you and me, we're going down the pub, my treat. How about it?
The Historian adores the morning tase of Espresso when observing his mug, drank, as he hummed himself. "Tasty." He drinks the whole cup as his eyes glance at Amelia, who looks at him in curiosity while everyone else minds their own business. Historian rolled his eyes as pours another one, gave it to her. "Here. That should ease your curiosity."
Amelia wasn't unsure how to respond to his offer her a coffee. She and the others have learned about coffee but never get the chance to taste one. Now, Amelia looks at her hands that are holding a cup of coffee. Amelia felt hesitant to accept his drink and give it back since she was a slave, but her strong desire to learn and taste coffee has overcome her decision. The girl took a sip of the black-brown liquid and tasted the bitter-sweet taste of the harmonious combination of coffee and milk. She smiles as she drinks the whole of it.
And meanwhile, the audience keeps watching the episode without noticing the interaction between the Historian and Amelia.
ROSE (smiling): Is there a match on?
MICKEY: I'm just thinking about you, babe!
ROSE: There's a match on, ain't there.
MICKEY: Well, that's not the point. We could catch the last five minutes.
ROSE: Go on then. I'm fine, really. Go. Get rid of that...
She gestures to the dummy's arm. Mickey points to his lips. Rose gives him a kiss. He pushes her back onto the chair and they laugh. He gets up to go and Rose puts a leg out to trip him up. Mickey picks up the arm and waves with it.
MICKEY: Buh Bye!
ROSE: Bye!
Mickey pretends to strangle himself with the arm and leaves (Which the audience startle at first but chuckled, and some deadpanned at the prank). Rose shakes her head fondly and turns her attention back to the news.
REPORTER: ... fire then spread throughout the store... there is very little chance of saving the infrastructure...
EXT. POWELL ESTATE
Outside, Mickey tosses the arm into a bin as he walks past it. Zoom into the darkness of the bin...
INT. ROSE'S BEDROOM
...and out onto the red 7:30 on Rose's alarm clock. Rose whacks it to stop it from beeping and sits up.
JACKIE (in the background): There's no point in getting up, sweetheart. You've got no job to go to.
Rose flops back on her pillow.
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
Rose is having breakfast, her mother is talking to her.
JACKIE: There are Finches... You could try them. They've always got jobs.
ROSE: Oh, great. The butchers.
JACKIE: Well it might do you good! That shop was giving you airs and graces. And I'm not joking about getting compensation. You've had genuine shock and trauma! Arianna got two thousand quid off the council just because the old man behind the desk said she looked Greek! I know she IS Greek, but that's not the point, it's a valid claim.
Rose hears a rattling and stands up.
ROSE: Mum, you're such a liar, I told you to nail that cat flap down. We're going to get strays!
JACKIE: I did it weeks back!
ROSE: No, you thought about it!
Rose discovers that the screws have fallen out onto the floor. The cat flap moves violently. Rose leaps backward, then comes back again and pokes the cat flap open gingerly. The Doctor's face is right outside it. Rose gasps and opens the door.
Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Petra, and Dina gape as the three last gasps to see the familiar face at the cat flap, and all of them shout. "He survives?!" Meanwhile, Erwin, Hange, Levi, and Amelia stare at the Doctor in bewilderment.
"But, that impossible, he should have died in the explosion?!" Hange shockingly asks.
The Historian is unable to hold his laugh as he said. "Of course. You guys has been fools."
"Wait, you know?" Eren asks.
"Of course. I know it, there is one thing about the Doctor, is he is not easy to get killed." The Historian replies as he holds his index finger.
"That still doesn't explain how is he still alive?" Armin ask.
"Simple, he is the Doctor." The Historian answers as the audience are still in shock to see the Doctor still alive.
But they ponder what the host means by it.
THE DOCTOR: What're you doing here?
"That's a rude question if you ask me." Levi.
ROSE: I live here.
"Isn't it obviously?" Mikasa scoffs.
THE DOCTOR: Well, what do you do that for?
ROSE: Because I do! And I'm only at home because someone blew up my job.
The Doctor gets out his sonic screwdriver.
THE DOCTOR: Must've got the wrong signal. You're not plastic, are you? (Knocks on Rose's forehead). No, bonehead. Bye, then!
"Rude." Petra comments about the Doctor knocking on someone's forehead.
He makes to go, but Rose pulls him back inside.
ROSE: You, inside. Right now.
She shuts the door.
JACKIE: Who is it?
INT. JACKIE'S BEDROOM
Rose pokes her head into Jackie's bedroom.
ROSE: It's about last night, he's part of the inquiry. Give us 10 minutes.
JACKIE: She deserves compensation.
THE DOCTOR: Huh, we're talking millions.
The Doctor leans against the doorframe, waiting for Rose to come back. Jackie looks at him for a moment and stands up, flirtatiously.
"Oh no." Hange snickers as she knows where this is going.
Levi sighed, being familiar with this scene.
JACKIE: I'm in my dressing gown.
THE DOCTOR: Yes, you are.
JACKIE: There's a strange man in my bedroom.
THE DOCTOR: Yes, there is.
JACKIE: Well, anything could happen.
THE DOCTOR: No.
The Doctor walks off. Jackie pulls a face at his back.
Hange giggles as she remembers some girls and recruits usually flirting with Levi, but they are rejected harshly because of it.
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
ROSE: Don't mind the mess. Do you want a coffee?
THE DOCTOR: Might as well, thanks! Just milk.
Rose goes into the kitchen and starts making coffee.
INT. TYLER'S KITCHEN
ROSE: We should go to the police. Seriously. Both of us.
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
The Doctor picks up a gossip magazine.
THE DOCTOR: That won't last, he's gay and she's an alien.
INT. TYLER'S KITCHEN
ROSE: I'm not blaming you, even if it was just some sort of joke that went wrong.
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
The Doctor picks up a book and flicks through it.
THE DOCTOR: Sad ending.
"What?!" Eren utters in surprise.
"How did he read so fast in a second?" Armin shockingly asks.
Mikasa narrowed her eyes and said. "He is just joking." She skeptically said as Levi and Erwin nodded in agreement.
INT. TYLER'S KITCHEN
ROSE: They said on the news they'd found a body.
'Must be Wilson.' Petra thoughts.
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
The Doctor picks up an envelope and reads it.
THE DOCTOR: Rose Tyler. (Looks in the mirror). Ahh, could've been worse! (Prods his large ears). Look at me' ears.
"They did seem big, though. Along with the nose as well." Amelia thought out loud as the audience gave her 'That's what you notice?' look. Making her feel uncomfortable. "I just saying."
INT. TYLER'S KITCHEN
ROSE: All the same, he was nice. Nice bloke.
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
The Doctor shuffles a pack of cards.
THE DOCTOR: Luck be a lady!
INT. TYLER'S KITCHEN
ROSE: Well anyway if we are going to go to the police, I want to know what I'm saying.
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
The Doctor shuffles the cards again and manages to make them all go flying.
Levi let out an exasperated sigh. He doesn't like everyone trashing around the room.
INT. TYLER'S KITCHEN
ROSE (CONT'D): I want you to explain everything.
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
THE DOCTOR (of the cards): Maybe not. (Hears scuffling from behind the sofa). What's that then? You got a cat?
INT. TYLER'S KITCHEN
ROSE: No...
INT. TYLER'S LIVING ROOM
The Doctor leans behind the sofa and the dummy's arm leaps out and grabs him by the neck.
Some of the audience startle when the Auton's arm leaps out and start to choke on the Doctor.
ROSE (CONT'D) (wandering in with coffee): We did have, but there's these strays, they come in off the estate...
"Turn around! Turn around, Rose!" Eren called her as he worried about the Doctor's life.
Behind her, the Doctor is being strangled viciously by the hand while he tries vainly to fight it off. She does not quite seem to register that the Doctor is being harassed by a rubber hand.
"It's not a joke, Rose! He is being choking!" Petra called out.
ROSE (CONT'D): I told Mickey to chuck that out... (She puts the coffee down on the table). Honestly, give a man a plastic hand... anyway, I don't even know your name, Doctor... what was it?
The Doctor throws the hand off and it flies across the room attaching itself to Rose's face. She screams and the Doctor leaps up and tries to pull it off. Then, the Doctor and Rose crash onto the coffee table, breaking it, and roll onto the floor.
Levi can ignore and tolerate creating a mess in the room. Consider the Doctor and Rose has the struggle to deactivate the arm.
The Doctor pushes her back onto the sofa and gets out his sonic screwdriver, disabling the hand.
The audience sighs in relief to see the arm have been disabled.
THE DOCTOR: It's alright, I've stopped it. There you go, you see? (Tosses it to her). 'Armless.
Everyone in the audience, except for Levi, let out a laugh, giggles, or an amusement smile at the Doctor's pun jokes.
"Hehehe. Nice one." Eren pointed out.
"Remind me of Connie's puns jokes." Armin comments as he remembers the jokes he heard.
"Very funny." Levi flatly said.
"Oh come one, what with the sour face?" The Historian rhetorically asks as he starts to snicker. "He just ARMED with jokes, you knows." The Historian puns as he let out a huge laugh as some of them giggle at his pun. Meanwhile, Levi glared at him and let out frustrated sighs, he is more realized the Doctor and Historian are weirdos and freaks like Hange.
ROSE: Do you think?
She uses it to whack him on the shoulder.
THE DOCTOR: Ow!
INT. STAIRWELL
The Doctor is running down the stairs, Rose hot on his tail.
ROSE: Hold on a minute, you can't just go swanning off.
THE DOCTOR: Yes I can. Here I am, this is me, swanning off. See ya!
ROSE: That arm was moving, it tried to kill me!
THE DOCTOR: Ten out of ten for observation.
ROSE: You can't just walk away, that's not fair! You've got to tell me what's going on.
THE DOCTOR: No I don't.
They reach the bottom of the stairs, go through the doors.
EXT. POWELL ESTATE
ROSE: Alright then. I'll go to the police. I'll tell everyone. You said, if I did that, I'd get people killed. So, your choice. Tell me, or I'll start talking.
THE DOCTOR: Is that supposed to sound tough?
ROSE: Sort of.
THE DOCTOR: Doesn't work.
ROSE: Who are you?
THE DOCTOR: I told you! The Doctor.
ROSE: Yeah. But Doctor what?
THE DOCTOR: Just the Doctor.
ROSE: The Doctor.
THE DOCTOR: Hello!
"Is someone there?" Dina narrowed her eyes to if someone was there.
"No, he just greetings with thin air." Levi said with a straight-faced while crossing his arms, getting a bit annoyed at the antic from the Doctor.
"Why do I have a feelings that we are seen another Hange?" He mutters as Hange feels a bit offended by his words.
ROSE: Is that supposed to sound impressive?
THE DOCTOR: Sort of.
ROSE: Come on. You can tell me. I've seen enough. Are you the police?
THE DOCTOR: No. I was just passing through. I'm a long way from home.
ROSE: But what have I done wrong? How come those plastic things keep coming after me?
THE DOCTOR: Oh! Suddenly the entire world revolves around you! You were just an accident, you got in the way, that's all.
ROSE: It tried to kill me!
THE DOCTOR: It was after me, not you! Last night, in the shop, I was there, you blundered it. Almost ruined the whole thing. This morning, I was tracking it down, it was tracking me down... the only reason it fixed on you is that you met me.
ROSE: So, what you're saying is, the entire world revolves around you.
THE DOCTOR: Sort of, yeah.
ROSE: You're full of it!
THE DOCTOR: Sort of, yeah.
ROSE: But, all this plastic stuff, who else knows about it?
THE DOCTOR: No one.
ROSE: What, you're on your own?
THE DOCTOR: Well, who else is there? I mean, you lot, all you do is eat chips, go to bed, and watch telly! When all the time, underneath you, there's a war going on!
"You know, the Walls residents should at least shown a sign of respect or appreciate to your accomplishments, capabilities, and cleverness which is beneficial for your home, making them feel safe and comfortable." The Historian said as the Survey Corps started to listen to his lecture. "I mean, you guys are the Wings of Freedom, the bravest branch in the military have the guts to fight off the Titans, despite being the smallest of it. Frankly, you lot sure are boldness when you are facing dangers and protect the innocents. You should felt proud of it because, if the Corps does not exist, then who will fight Titans and protect the peoples." And with that, he gives them a proud smile.
The Corps is amazed, astound, and speechless at his words. All of their time in services, they usually face criticism, disapproval, and blame analysis from the residents and the Royal Government. Yet, an outsider applauds and compliment their achievements even though they have little success. The Scouts and the trainees couldn't help but feel a sense of pride, pleasure, and self-respect for themselves.
Rose takes the arm off him.
ROSE: Okay, start from the beginning.
EXT. ROAD
ROSE: If you're gonna go with this living plastic, and I don't even believe that, but if we do... how did you kill it?
THE DOCTOR: The thing controlling it projects life into the arm. I cut off the signal, dead.
ROSE: So that's radio control?
THE DOCTOR: Thought control. (Silence) Are you alright?
ROSE: Yeah. So, who's controlling it, then?
THE DOCTOR: Long story.
ROSE: But what's it all for? I mean, shop window dummies... what's that about? Is someone trying to take over Britain's shops?
They laugh.
THE DOCTOR: No.
ROSE: I know.
THE DOCTOR: It's not a price war. (Laugh again. Suddenly serious). They want to overthrow the human race and destroy you. Do you believe me?
"Well, we do." Hange thought out loud, glancing at the Historian. "And Mr. Historian, could you tell us more about the Autons? I believe you haven't told us the full of it. Regard one of their arm moved when he had burned down that building." She adjusted her glasses. "There is something more about them, right?"
"You got that right. I haven't told you about the Nestence Conciousness, the hive mind of the Autons." Historian said as the audience starts to interest and fascinate at the controller of the Autons.
"Ohhh. Intersting." Hange grins.
"The Nestene Consciousness is a disembodied life force, a hive mind race and a singular entity existing as energy with the ability to possess plastic, can be described as ruthlessly, aggressive, and intelligent. And once they tried to invade Earth twice." The Historian said as Hange is writing o her notebook about the Nestenes.
Levi scoffs as he speaks. "Of course, the Nestene would be aggressive like the Autons. If the thing controlling the dummies turned hostile, so would it be."
"Wait, so they tried to invade Earth twice?!" Eren asks.
"Yes, there this one time in the late 20th century, they tried to invade Earth, but the Doctor had stopped them from it." The audiences widen their eyes as they cannot believe a simple man can stop an invasion. "And they should stay quiet until an evil madman tries to use it to take over Earth, enslave humanity, and killed Doctor and his friends in the progress. But again, the Doctor has stopped them in time." The Historian explains as the audience is in awe to see one man had stopped two invasions of the Autons. And then, something clicked in their minds when they heard about the second invasion.
"Wait, who is the evil madman you are talking about?" Amelia asks in curious.
"You do not want to meet him. Trust me." Historian sternly said.
"Why?" Levi narrowed his eyes. "Was he dangerous?" He questions him in doubt.
"Believe me, Ackermann. He is something far worse than you couldn't imagine." Historian answers Levi before facing Eren. "And he will interested in your Titan power, Eren."
"Wait, what?" Eren shockingly asks.
"Yeah, he will tried to takes your power. And by take your power, I mean he would killed you in the process." The Historian said as the audience widens their eyes when they learn the evil madman will kill Eren to take his Titan power, which is humanity's last hope.
"Wait, we still don't know how did he get his power. How can that man can be able to take his power away?!" Hange quickly retorts.
"He will do anything in order to have that power. After all, his name has proven his skilled and talents." Historian said with a straight-faced and crossed his arms.
"If he want to take Eren's power, he have to go through my dead body." Mikasa said in a cold tone. She would kill that man before he couldn't even think about laying his hand on her family as the Scouts vowed to protect Eren as their last hope and worried about that man.
"Do you know that in order to inherit the Titan's power, the person has to eat the predecessor, right?" Amelia whispered to the Historian as Dina worried about her stepson's safety. "Not to mention, only Eldians can inherits the Nine Titans."
"He wouldn't do that. And he would find a way." The Historian whispered back.
"But how can he do it?" Amelia asks when she thoughts there is no way to inherit the Titan's power without eating the host.
"Like I said, his title have spoken it all. And you guys should worried about him rather than Titans or aliens." The Historian whispers as Dina and Amelia are shocked and horrified if the evil madman finds a way.
ROSE: No.
THE DOCTOR: But you're still listening.
She stops. The Doctor walks on.
ROSE: Really though, Doctor. Tell me. Who are you?
THE DOCTOR (stops): Do you know like we were saying? About the Earth revolving? (Walks back to her). It's like when you were a kid. The first time they tell you the world's turning and you just can't quite believe it because everything looks like it's standing still. I can feel it. (Takes her hand). The turn of the Earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour, and the entire planet is hurtling around the sun at sixty-seven thousand miles an hour, and I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me. Clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go... (Let's go of her hand). That's who I am. Now, forget me, Rose Tyler. (Takes the arm, waves it in her face). Go home.
The audience is overwhelmed with knowledge from the Doctor's wisdom and astound at his logical analysis of Earth. Hange crazily writes the new information about Earth. Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are shocked and amazed to learn something is out of the book their read when they were a child. Erwin, Levi, Petra, Dina, and Amelia are astonished the pearl of wisdom comes from the Doctor. Even though he looks like 40-years-old, but he, without a doubt, is a wise and clever person.
"Wow." Eren utters while his eyes widen.
"Wow, indeed." Amelia said in agreement.
"That is beyond knowledge in my grandfather book that we has read when we were kids, Eren." Armin said with his sparkled eyes as Mikasa nodded in agreement.
"Oh man. Thank you for have sharing another fascinate facts about Earth, Doctor." Hange excitedly said as she adjusted her glasses.
"But, what does he mean by that? About who he is." Petra wonders his words as the audience starts to contemplate the meaning the Doctor tries to say.
"Its one of his philosophies." The Historian said as the audience faced him. He smiles. "When we were kids, he always passionate, loving, and enthusiastic about exploration, adventure, and discovery. He admires the world, the universe, especially the stars, and he always wants to reach them all." The Historian said with a full of passion as the audience stared at him in awe.
"Even though our tutors has taught us about the universe being normal. But he believed that, however much people tried to take the mystery out of things, they could not diminish wonder, beauty, and discovery. It is just like what your father said, Eren. It does not matter what anyone says. There is no holding back an inquisitive mind. And the Doctor basically have follows the exam." Eren is shocked to hear the Historian quotes his father's words. That makes him eager to learn more about what the Doctor has followed in the exam.
"What did he do?" Eren asks.
"He ran away." The Historian said. "He, me, and with many others ran away from our home to explore the universes. What he means is there so many things that were beyond your imagination and your minds. You need ambitions, creativity, hope, and dreams, just like what he said about the Earth." The audience stares at him in awe, wonder, and amazement.
"...Your father is truly wise, Eren." Hange said in agreement.
"Indeed." Erwin agrees with her as well as his subordinates.
"Thanks." Eren replies in embarrassment. "Though, I am more glad that there is someone on another realitiy have the same thought like us." He pointed Mikasa and Armin.
"You people sure are freaks. All of you." The Historian gestures the whole room, making them frown. "But be proud that you are a freak because that is what makes you special. So, do not be ashamed about being a freak, the Doctor and I are also a freak and receive many disapproval, but we don't care about what other peoples said. We just glad that we are a freak ourselves." He pointed at everyone. "And so are you."
The audience stares at him in awe and astound. Erwin, Hange, Levi, and Petra silently agree with the Historian. And feeling proud of who they are and why do they join the Survey Corps. Erwin, Hange, and Petra could remember their parents and family were worried and didn't want them to join the Scouts, but they joined not just for their home but also curiosity, research, adventure, and exploration.
Eren, Mikasa, and Armin have lost their family, and they joined the Corps to avenge their family and explore the outside of the Walls.
Amelia is the one inspirable and motivates most. In her slavery and prison life, she always received commands and demands from her Kings, never in her life earned a compliment or motivational words. But, in this theater, Amelia has heard a speech for the first time in her life. She could feel her heart is beating faster, many emotions are flowing through her body, but she quickly shoves those feelings away and tells herself that she is Ymir Fritz, a slave and not a person.
"Your speech certainly is inspiring and motivates them." Dina compliment the Historian as she and Amelia looks at the Scouts' expressions.
"Yup, I am good with words after all." The Historian smirks.
He walks away. Rose watches his retreating back and then starts to walk herself. The Doctor steps into a police box. Rose hears the strange sound.
The audience also hears that noise and leans to the screen to find it out.
She runs back as fast as she can. The police box is gone.
Only to discover the blue police box vanish from where it stands. The audience gaped to see the blue box gone, along with the Doctor.
"Did he and that box just... gone?" Eren pointed out.
"Interesting." Hange writes while her eyes cannot take out of the screen.
Amelia narrowed her eyes on the police box for a while until a sudden realization hit her as she recalled a particular detail. 'Wait, the blue box was also there last night, not far away from Rose's workplace. But how did the box end up at her apartment? And most importantly, how did it disappear?'
She shields her eyes from the sun, looks around her, then walks away again.
INT. MICKEY'S FLAT
Mickey lets Rose in.
MICKEY: Yahey, there's my woman! (Slaps her bum). Kit off!
ROSE: Shut up. (He gives her a kiss). Mwah!
MICKEY: Coffee?
ROSE: Yeah, only if you wash the mug. And I don't mean rinse, I mean wash. Can I use your computer?
MICKEY: Yeah. Any excuse to get in the bedroom.
Mickey goes into the kitchen. Rose closes the door of his bedroom behind her.
MICKEY: Don't read my emails!
INT. MICKEY'S BEDROOM
Rose turns on the computer and types "Doctor" into a search engine. No relevant results are found. She types in "Doctor Living Plastic". Still nothing. She types "Doctor Blue Box". The first result reads "Doctor Who - do you know this man? Contact Clive here..." She clicks on it and a webpage with a blurry photograph of the Doctor and the words "Have you seen this man? Contact Clive" is presented to her. She clicks "Contact Clive".
"Seems like she find a lead." Erwin said.
"Good." Hange widely grins. "We will get to know more about this Doctor."
EXT. CLIVE'S HOUSE
Mickey and Rose are sitting in the car.
ROSE: You're not coming in! He's safe, he's got a wife and kids.
MICKEY: Yeah but who told you that? He did. That's exactly what an Internet lunatic murderer would say.
Rose gets out of the car anyway, grinning. Mickey doesn't look too happy and gives a man putting out his rubbish the evils. Rose knocks on the door of a house and it is answered by a boy of about 11.
ROSE: Uh, hello, I've come to see Clive? We've been emailing.
CLIVE'S SON: Dad! It's one of your nutters!
"Sweetie, it is not polite to speak to an adult like that." Hange reprimand.
Levi gives Hange a side glance. "Speak for yourself. Everyone would also thought you are a nutter as well." Then Hange let out an offended gasped.
Clive appears.
CLIVE: Sorry. Hello. You must be Rose. I'm Clive. Obviously!
ROSE: I better tell you now, my boyfriend's waiting in the car, just in case you're going to kill me!
They laugh.
CLIVE: No, good point. No murders.
He waves to Mickey who nods, still distrustful.
CAROLINE: Who is it?
CLIVE: Oh it's something to do with the Doctor! She's been reading the website. Please come through, I'm in the shed.
Clive's wife, Caroline, comes down the stairs carrying a washing basket.
CAROLINE: She? She read a website about the Doctor? She's a she?
She smiles ironically and shuts the door. Mickey looks suspicious.
INT. CLIVE'S SHED
Clive is showing Rose around the shed, which is a sort of shrine to the Doctor.
Levi shuddered as he mutters. "Why do I have a feelings that I'm in Four-Eyes's workshop?"
CLIVE: A lot of this stuff's quite sensitive, I couldn't just send it to you. People might intercept it if you know what I mean. If you dig deep enough - keep a lively mind - this Doctor keeps cropping up all over the place. Political diaries, conspiracy theories. Even ghost stories. No first name, no last name. Just "The Doctor". Always The Doctor. And the title seems to have been passed down from father to son, it appears to be an inheritance. That's your Doctor there, isn't it?
He points to a photo of the Doctor on a computer screen behind them.
Hange writes down the information about the Doctor without missing any spots.
ROSE: Yeah.
CLIVE: I tracked it down to the Washington public archive last year. The online photo's enhanced, but if we look at the original...
He shows Rose some photographs of the Doctor standing in a crowd at the time and place of the assassination of JFK.
CLIVE: November the 22nd, 1963. The assassination of President Kennedy.
"1963 is the year when he makes his first appearance." The Historian said as he side glance at Hange. "And from there, many rumors, diaries, and conspiracy theories about the Doctor rose up."
"Fascinating." Hange mutters.
"Though, who is Kennedy and what is President by the way?" Petra asks as she is curious about the year 1963.
"A President is a type of leader posistion where the person have full control and power in the government and the nation." The Historian said.
"Like a king or something?" Eren asks with a raised brow.
"No, that is the monarchy. The 21st century on Earth follows Democracy, Republic, and the Constitution, or the Constitutional Monarchy. Principally, it is a form of government, and the people have the authority to deliberate and decide legislation to choose governing officials to do so. And is the government of the people where they have the right to voting their leader through freedom and fair elections, the President is one of them." The Historian explains, earning a few "Oh" and "Ah" from the audience. Especially Eren when his eyes shine when he hears freedom.
"John Fitzgerald Kennedy, often referred to by his initials JFK, was an Lieutenant who earned the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for his military service and war heroism. He was an American politician who served as the 35th president of the United States, the one of the youngest people elected when he was 43 years old. He has done a lot of accomplishments and achievements. In short explantion, he was the wisest man and a good leader." Historian lecture before he facing Erwin. "And you would love to meet him and learn many things from a well-experienced leader, Erwin Smith."
Then Erwin has his profound thought about Kennedy and wonders if he should study his leadership and get to know him more.
When the Scouts learned about JFK, they were surprised to see a young man older than Erwin used to be a soldier and much experienced enough for his people to vote him as a leader. Nothing to say, the Scouts were respectful and admired a man from a soldier to a leader of a nation.
"Wait, did Clive said that he was assasinated?" Dina asks as the host nods his head.
"Damn." Eren curses as he lowers his head and imagines Kennedy was like Commander Smith.
"He was shot in the neck and then was shot in the head." The Historian adds.
"There is nothing we can do." Erwin said as he also respects the man. "The only thing we can do is to respect him as a soldier and a leader." Then the Scouts gave JFK a military salute respectfully for the man who has devoted his heart to the end.
ROSE: Must be his father...
"Guess so." Hange comments as she remembers the Doctor is 40 years old.
CLIVE: Going further back... April 1912. (Brings over a photo album). This is a photo of the Daniels family, Southampton. And friend. (Points to the Doctor, standing with them). This was taken the day before they were due to sail off for the New World. On the Titanic. And for some unknown reason, they canceled the trip and survived.
"Another appearance of him. 1912." Hange muttered as she wrote down the years.
"What is Titanic, though? Must be very important as Clive knows about it, right?" Armin asks.
"Actually, everyone around the world knows about it." The Historian reply as he raises his index finger. "The RMS Titanic was the largest passenger ship in the early 20th century. The ship measured in at 882 feet and 9 inches long, weighed 46,328 gross tons and had a 2,453-passenger capacity, making it the largest steam powered ship afloat at the time as it set sail in 1912. And it was also considered unsinkable to the public since she was constructed of thousands of one inch-thick mild steel plates and two million steel and wrought iron rivets." Then the audience wide their eyes and mouth agape in shock and amazed when they saw a photo of the ship itself, docking at the harbor full of workers to maintenance. They have to admit when they saw the Titanic photo from the Historian. If they were there and observed the ship themselves, they would feel that they are watching one of the achievements and pride of humanity from Earth.
"Holy Moly, that's a big ship!" Hange exclaims as she tries to sketch the ship passionately while she is blushes and pants in excitement. "I wish Moblit and Mike were here, they would love to see this, and Moblit can draw the ship better than this." She pointed to her notebook, which has the Titanic sketches. She draws pretty well, to be honest.
"Dear Maria." Mikasa utters.
"Shit, that is a biggest ship that I have ever seen in my entire life." Levi comments and if he is honest with himself. The Titanic is the largest ship, made of metals, which makes him wonder how does it afloat if it weighs more than 46000 gross tons.
"Two million steel?!" Eren said in disbelief. "With that amount and the size of the ship, it can provide a large quantity to make the Government, merchants, businessmens to kill each other for it."
"Not to mention, the ship is 308 times heavier than our ferry boat, and it can even reach above our Walls if you put it vertically with the Wall." Armin said in an amazed tone. "And yet, it can still afloat with its weights."
While Amelia is amazed and astounds at the Titanic ship, she suddenly remembers Clive's word about the family in a grievous tone. "What did Clive mean when he said the Daniels family survived?" She said as the audience recalled that the Daniels canceled the trip and survived? What does he mean by that? Did something happen?
"Even though the RMS Titanic unsinkable, but it sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912, after striking an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. It is claims the total passengers on the ship is approximately 2,200 passengers and crew members. Some 1,500 people perished when the ship sank while 705 individuals survived." The Historian explains as the audience wide-eyed and gasped in horrified to hear such a disastrous event that happened to the unsinkable ship.
"B-b-but how?" Eren asks in denial. "I thought the ship is unsinkable."
"And what is an iceberg?" Hange curiously said. "Seems like it was the main cause of the Titanic's demise."
"An iceberg is a piece of freshwater ice more than 15 m long that has broken off a glacier or an ice shelf and is floating freely in open salt water. It only occurs at the North and South Pole where its cold and freezing under 0°C to -40°C or -60°C." Then he shows them a picture of the iceberg and a sketch of the sinking Titanic as people on the lifeboats or swimming watch it sink. "As the ice bumped along its starboard side, it punched holes in the ship's steel plates, causing the brittle fracture and flooding six compartments. In a little over two hours, the Titanic filled with water. And break in two as it sank." The Historian explains as Hange writes down everything he said in her notebooks when her scientific mind flickers with new knowledge. Though, she still has one question that remains.
"What is the brittle fracture, Mr. Historian?" Hange asks as the Historian thinks for a moment before he answers her answer.
"A fracture is the separation of an object or material into two or more pieces under the action of stress. Like the ship, even though it have avoided the iceberg but the hull hit the edge of it, causing a crack on the hull and with the high level water pressure, it flooding in and break the ship into two." The Historian explains.
"Oh, I see." Hange said before whispering to Erwin. "Maybe we should take noted of this if we makes one, commander Smith." Erwin nods.
"Though, did the Doctor knows about this?" Dina said as everyone suddenly realized.
"We are not sure how he know, but if he do know such an event like that. He must have saved the Daniels' life." Erwin said.
"But why didn't he saved everyone?" Mikasa question as everyone think about it more.
The Historian was quiet for a moment until he answered. "There's a lot of things you haven't know about it yet. And such an event like that, it have to be happens. If you mess with something unknown, you will face the consequences."
Even though he gave them an ominous yet skeptical answer, they can't help but wonder and be curious about the consequences.
CLIVE: And... (Shows her a sketch). 1883. Another Doctor. And look - the same lineage. He's identical. This one washed up on the coast of Sumatra on the very day Krakatoa exploded.
Then the audience turned their head on the Historian as he rolled his eyes and said. "The 1883 eruption of Krakatoa in the Sunda Strait, Indonesia. It began on 20 May 1883 and peaked on the late morning of Monday, 27 August 1883, when over 70% of the island of Krakatoa and its surrounding archipelago were destroyed as it collapsed into a caldera. And it was one of the deadliest and most destructive volcanic events in recorded history, and explosions were so violent that they were heard 3,110 kilometres away in Perth, Western Australia. And Rodrigues near Mauritius, 4,800 kilometres away. At least 36,417 deaths are attributed to the eruption and the tsunamis it created. The sound claimed to be heard in 50 different locations around the world. And the sound wave is recorded to have travelled the globe seven times over." He then shows them a sketch of the volcanic event as the mountain exploded, spilled out are the ashes, lava, and smoke into the air.
"Oh my god!" Hange exclaims as she crazily sketches the exploding mountain. "The moutain exploded!"
"Yup. And before you asks, a volcano is a rupture in the crust of a planetary-mass object, such as Earth, that allows hot lava, volcanic ash, and gases to escape from a magma chamber below the surface. Or you say,the mountain spilled out the flaming waters that can burned down everything in the proximity. And the tsunami is a series of waves in a water body caused by the displacement of a large volume of water, generally in an ocean or a large lake. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other underwater explosions above or below water all have the potential to generate a tsunami." The Historian said as the Scouts gape in stunned and horrified.
'So that's the flaming water.' Eren, Mikasa, and Armin thoughts before they shudder at how dangerous the lava is.
"But what was he doing at such dangerous place like that?" Petra said when she worried about the Doctor.
"He was tries to destroy a dangerous weapon made by Althea Bryce, a woman scientist who tries to use it for her own goals, which it will involved with many deaths and destruction." The Historian replies.
"Oh, I see." Petra nods.
"So, what do you have gathers in your notebook, Hange?" Erwin asks.
"So far, the Doctor is somekinds of a historical or mystery figure appears in known events that have happened." Hange reports to her commander as she scratches her head in perplex. "But, to be honest, his story and profile is still remains mystery. And many questions remain unanswered."
"Which is...?" Levi asks.
"How did he know the upcoming events? Why did he appear in every historical events, disasters and tragedies? Why didn't he prevented it? And if he make his first appearance in 1963, then how the man is the same Doctor from 1912 and 1883?" Hange wiped the sweats from her forehead as she adjusted her glasses. "There is so much unanswered questions now."
"Not to mention, he also saved a family and destroyed a weapon as well." Armin adds as everyone nods in agreement.
"Theoretically, the Doctor is either a historical figure..." Hange said.
"...Or a mysterious being." Levi adds.
CLIVE: The Doctor is a legend woven throughout history.
"...Or maybe a legendary figure like Clive said." Eren said as everyone nodded.
Until now, the Doctor can be described as a mysterious yet myth, as Clive said. Frankly, the audience is astonished to see the Doctor appears in three well-known historical and tragic events, but only two occurrences he did save the lives of others. However, what makes them confused and bewilderment is how the Doctor knows these events? Why didn't he stop or prevent it? And if the Historian told them this person made his first appearance in 1963, then is he is the same person when the audience saw him meet Rose? Or the three-person called as the Doctor was his lineage in 1883, 1912, and 1963 like what Rose said?
They don't know, and that is why they stay here to find more about him.
Meanwhile, Amelia ponders about the Doctor and studies him as pulling down Historian's fedora hat. She is wondering who or what the Doctor is, contemplating if she and he are related, based on Clive and Hange's words. And in the context of the information about the Doctor throughout history. Amelia can see him holding the same enigma as she does.
Well, on her time in the Paths and when she read, learned history book and watched the turn of the world after she died, there is many theories and mythology about her life and origin. From the Eldians, she hailed as a god-given miracle. The Restorationists claimed that she and all Subjects of Ymir are "the chosen children of God" and that any atrocities Marley claims Eldia had committed could not have been possible because she would not have allowed it. There was even an Eldian cult that worshiped her as a goddess. On the other hand, the Marleyans believe she received powers from a deal with the "Devil of All Earth" and used this to ostracize the Eldians.
Amelia really couldn't blame them, considering being a subject of ancient history, and there are various interpretations of who she was since the ancient history codex is lost and gone, as well as no record of her life. Except for one book that has described her as a kind and gentle girl, which is true and she can't remember it.
But when she heard what Clive said and saw the theories, photos, and sketches about the Doctor. Amelia could see that he remains mysterious as there is no one know about him. Unlike her being a well-known person and historical subject around the world.
And then, she pulls up her hat and continues to observe and learn more about the Doctor. Once again, her curiosity has won her again.
CLIVE: When disaster comes, he's there. He has a storm in his wake. And he has one constant companion.
ROSE: Who's that?
The audience leans toward the screen, listens closely to hear who is the Doctor's constant companion.
CLIVE: Death.
"Well, that unnerve." Levi remarkably said.
"I don't know about that, Captain." Petra nervously said. "I felt the solemn tones when he said it."
"Though what does he mean Death follows him?" Mikasa wonders. "As if death follows him like a shadow."
"We should not jump into the conclusion that quickly." Hange said. "Best chance to know his words is to keep observing the Doctor."
EXT. CLIVE'S HOUSE
Mickey is still waiting outside in his car.
"Shoot!" Eren laughs. "I almost forgot he was there."
"Well, he does seem kind of forgetful." Amelia giggles.
"We couldn't blame ourselves." Hange smirks as she chuckles. "We are so focused on the Doctor enough to makes us forgot Mickey."
"And he had missed a lot of things over their conversation." Petra said.
He looks around as a bin starts to shuffle its way towards him.
Levi heavily sigh as he hopes his sixth sense is wrong when he watch the trash bin move toward Mickey by itself. Part of him hopes the trash can wasn't what he thinks it is.
INT. CLIVE'S SHED
CLIVE (CONT'D): If the Doctor's back... if you've seen him, Rose... then one thing's for certain, we're all in danger.
EXT. CLIVE'S HOUSE
Mickey looks at the bin again, but it is stationary. A few seconds later, it starts moving again. He gets out of the car and walks to the bin, looking around it to see what is moving it. Seeing nothing, he places both hands on the lid and opens it dramatically.
The audience started to tense up, preparing for something to come out until...
MICKEY: Come on then!
The bin is empty.
...there was nothing inside of it as the audience sighed in relief.
INT. CLIVE'S SHED
CLIVE: If he's singled you out... If the Doctor's making house calls... then God helps you.
EXT. CLIVE'S HOUSE
Mickey shuts the bin, confused. He tries to walk away but his hands are stuck to the bin.
"What the...?!" Eren exclaimed as the audience widened their eyes in shock and horror. Meanwhile, Levi grunts in annoyance when he hates his instinct is correct.
When he tries to pull away, the bin stretches and won't let him. Eventually, the bin opens its lid and pulls him in backward, shutting with a satisfied burp.
"...Disgusting." Levi said in disgust as he felts revulsive at the Auton's satisfied burp.
At the same time, the audience were winces and cringes at Mickey getting swallowed by that trash bin. The Scouts have already seen a lot of gore stuff when they venture outside the Walls and get used to the carnage. Save for Eren, Mikasa, and Armin since they are trainees and still haven't adapted to the bloodshed, but they are slowly learning and getting used to it.
However, they had never seen an alien eat a whole body which makes them feel sick inside their stomachs, especially Eren as he shivered when he recalled getting swallowed by a Titan.
"Well, he just dies." Eren gravely said when he and the others felt sorry for Mickey.
"Poor guy." Petra comments in a moody tone as she lowers her face down.
"He is not dead yet." The Historian casually replies.
Mikasa then narrowed her eyes in disbelief and said. "How could you speak so casually about it?! Mickey is dead."
"The Autons is target the Doctor, and it follow Rose to find him, right?" The Historian asks as the audience nods. "Another facts is they can duplicate a person to infiltrate and spies as long as the original body still alive."
"So you saying Mickey is still alive, right?" Dina asks as the Historian nod his head.
"Thanks Maria." Armin utters.
INT. CLIVE'S SHED
ROSE: Who is he? Who do you think he is?
CLIVE: I think he's the same man. I think he's immortal. I think he's an alien from another world.
"Immortal." Hange mutters in excitement and is fascinating.
"I am not sure if he is the same man. Or an alien from outer space, which the last one is absurd." Eren states his opinion as everyone sees aliens are like Titans, just like the Autons.
Unknown to them, the Historian rolls his eyes and mutters in English. "Bunch of stupid apes."
EXT. CLIVE'S HOUSE
Rose comes back to the car, talking before she's even got in.
ROSE: Alright! He's a nutter! Off his head! COMPLETE online conspiracy freak. You win! Oof.
She gets into the car. The person sitting at the wheel is obviously not Mickey, but a plastic replica of him. Rose seems not to notice.
"Woah. Those things really just duplicated him. So there is a chance Mickey still alive." Hange said as she was fascinated to see the Plastic Mickey.
"Not to mention he was also held as a hostage." Levi adds.
"Though, how can we recognize which one is the fake one?" Erwin asks.
"Simple, the duplicated is not perfect at all." The Historian reply.
"Like what?" Eren asks.
ROSE: What're we going to do tonight? I fancy a pizza.
MICKEY: Pizzaaa! P-p-p-pizza!
ROSE: ...or a Chinese...
MICKEY: Pizza!
"Nevermind, I figure it out." Eren deadpanned.
"Hey, what is pizza and chinese food that they are talking about...?" Petra looks at the Historian before she raises her brow. "What are you doing?"
The audience turns to see the Historian. And saw he is eating a plate of rice with sauces topping on it. "What? I am eating breakfast."
"It is more like where did you get that from?" Armin curiously asks.
"Oh, right. I forgot to mention that in this room, you can summons everything food and drinks you want. Just say the word, and it will appear in your seat." The Historian pointed out.
"Well, I want a finest cup of tea." Levi said as a cup of tea materialized in his hand. Now he believes this room is more magical than he thinks as he drank his drinks. "Hm. Nice tea."
"Anything else you want?" The Historian asks as everyone shakes their head since they already have breakfast or are not hungry and only want a drink.
They drive off in a wobbly line.
As the Historian eats his meal, he sees Amelia look at his dish in curiosity. Then he looks down on his plate and shrugs his shoulders, passing to Amelia to stop her snooping on him. And when Amelia looks at the plate and gets a better view of what he is eating. It has rice with meats and onion in the brownish sauces topping on the rice.
Amelia shrugs her shoulder, thinking it is a meal and has no problem with it when she picks up the spoon and eats it. But then, her face becomes still when her eyes are wide and tearful as her face starts to become red. She drops down the spoon as she tries to hold her breath, not trying to scream as she feels her tongue is burning and her neck is dry. And then, she let out a small shriek enough for the audience didn't hear her scream as she burst out in flames.
She summons a big glass of water and drinks it all up in go, and sighs in relief. Then she faces the Historian with her twitched, watering eyes ask him in her quiet and hoarse voice. "What the hell is this food?!"
The Historian looks down at his plate, a sly smirk forming on his face as he replies to her in a mischievous tone. "This is Phaal, the Indian spicy curry and one of the most spiciest curry on Earth. I want to SPICE you up, you know. And you look HOT and SWEATY."
Then he let out a small laugh as Amelia gazed at him in agitated and irritated the first time she got pranked. And the Historian gets on her nerves by his prank, jokes, and puns as Amelia looks at him in exasperate. Then she punches his shoulder, and crosses her arms, pouted in annoyance.
And of course, the Historian could not deny the cute expression she has as he chuckles and shakes his head.
INT. RESTAURANT
Rose and Mickey sit at a table for two in a restaurant.
ROSE: Do you think I should try the hospital? Suki said they had a few jobs going in the canteen. That's it then... dishing out chips... I could do A-Levels...
"Mickey" stares at her, grinning.
ROSE (CONT'D): I dunno. It's all Jimmy Stone's fault. I only left school because of him, and look where he ended up. What do you think?
PLASTIC MICKEY: So, where did you meet this Doctor?
ROSE: I'm sorry, wasn't I talking about me for a second?
PLASTIC MICKEY: Because, I reckon it started back at the shop, am I right? Is he something to do with that?
ROSE: No...
PLASTIC MICKEY: Come on.
ROSE: Sort of.
PLASTIC MICKEY: What was he doing there?
ROSE: I'm not going on about him, Mickey, I'm not, because, I know it sounds daft but... I don't think he's safe. I think he's dangerous.
PLASTIC MICKEY: But you can trust me, sweetheart! (In quick succession). Babe, sugar, darling, sugar.
"Ok. Now that is just creepy if I gotta honest." Petra comments.
Rose looks confused.
PLASTIC MICKEY (CONT'D): You can tell me anything. Tell me about the Doctor and what he's planning, and I can help you, Rose. Because that's all I really wanna do, sweetheart, babe, sugar, sweetheart.
ROSE: What're you doing that for?
A Waiter approaches the table.
WAITER: Your champagne.
"Is it me, or his voice sound familiar?" Dina asks as the audience leans forward.
PLASTIC MICKEY: We didn't order any champagne. (Grabs Rose's hand). Where's the Doctor?
The Waiter has simply moved to the other side of the table and holds the bottle out to Rose.
WAITER: Ma'am. Your champagne.
"Not only that but his jackets as well." Amelia said as she narrowed her eyes before a realization hit her, making her recognize who the waiter was.
ROSE: It's not ours... Mickey, what is it? What's wrong?
MICKEY: I need to find out how much you know, so where is he?
WAITER: Doesn't anybody want this champagne?
Plastic Mickey, exasperated, raises his eyes to the waiter for the first time.
PLASTIC MICKEY: Look, we didn't order i... (The Waiter is in fact the Doctor). Ah. Gotcha.
The audience beside Amelia widens and gasps in surprise to see the waiter is the Doctor.
The Doctor shakes the bottle.
THE DOCTOR: Don't mind me. I'm just toasting the happy couple. On the house!
The cork pops out and hits Mickey squarely on the forehead. His forehead absorbs the cork and he spits it out of his mouth.
"Ugh. Disgusting." Levi groans as his face irk at the scene where Plastic Mickey spits out the cork.
It is finally revealed to Rose that Mickey has in fact been replaced with an Auton.
PLASTIC MICKEY: Anyway. (His hands turn into clubs and he smashes the table in. Rose screams and runs out of the way. The Doctor grabs the Auton's head and pulls it off). Don't think that's gonna stop me.
A couple at a nearby table scream, but the Doctor grins. Rose presses the fire bell.
ROSE: Everyone out! Out now! Everyone runs for the exit.
The Auton stays inside, blindly smashing tables with his club hands.
ROSE (CONT'D): Get out! Get out! Get out!
Rose and the Doctor run through the kitchen and out of a back exit.
EXT. BACK YARD
With the Auton in hot pursuit. The Doctor locks a metal door with his sonic screwdriver while Rose tries desperately to find an escape out of the yard they are in. She bangs desperately at some locked gates.
ROSE: Open the gate! Use that tube thing, come on!
THE DOCTOR: What, this? This is a sonic screwdriver.
ROSE: Use it!
THE DOCTOR: Nah. Tell ya what, let's go in here.
He approaches a police box in the middle of the yard and unlocks it.
"Hey, its that blue box again!" Hange exclaims as the audience is shocked to see the police box appear again.
"Yes, I can see that, but it isn't too small for them to fit in there?" Levi asks as the audience thinks the same as he does.
The Auton is beginning to make dents in the door from the other side. Rose runs to look at it.
ROSE: We can't hide inside a wooden box! (Runs to the gate and rattles the chains). It's gonna get us! Doctor!
She runs into the police box.
INT. TARDIS
Rose slams the door behind her, takes a few steps in, looks around, then runs straight back out again.
The audience is confused with Rose's stunned face when she walks inside the police box and then runs outside. What did she see that made her look dazed and startled in the box?
EXT. BACK YARD
She walks once around the police box and arrives back at the front again. The Auton finally makes a hole in the door, so she runs back into the police box.
INT. TARDIS
ROSE: It's gonna follow us!
THE DOCTOR: The assembled hoards of Genghis Khan couldn't get through that door and believe me, they've tried. Now, shut up a minute.
Rose stands trembling near the door of the TARDIS, looking around at how huge it is compared with the outside.
This time, the audience understands why Rose looked so stunned when she was inside the small box. Correct, it wasn't a little box. It is a box that is BIGGER on the inside. A phone booth is BIGGER on the inside.
"Dear Maria." Eren utters in shock as he slaps himself to see if he is in a daydream.
"The box..." Armin utters as he does not believe what he is seeing.
"...Its bigger on the inside." Mikasa said.
"A police booth is bigger on the inside." Hange said as she drools in excitement before she screams out of excitement. "IT IS AMZINGLY FAR BEYOND OUR MINDS!"
She screams out of her lungs, but they don't mind her as they are still dazed at the scene. Even Levi was shocked and surprised enough he did not care to scold her.
"Hange. Levi. I think we will be here for a long time." Erwin said to his subordinates as he could not take his eyes out of the screen.
At the same time, Amelia is surprised and dumbfounded at the police box. She knows the box has something, but she couldn't imagine seeing the phone booth is spacious on the inside. And she could feel her heart is beating up faster than before as her emotions are running wildly through her body when her curiosity in learning something new is over her mind.
Amelia WANTS to learn more about the Doctor and his box.
The Doctor is wiring up the head of the Auton.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): You see, the arm is too simple, but the head's perfect.
Rose still looks overwhelmed.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): I can use it to trace the signal back to the original source. Right. (Turns to Rose, gives her his full attention). Where do you want to start?
ROSE: Um... the inside's bigger than the outside?
THE DOCTOR: Yes.
ROSE: It's alien.
THE DOCTOR: Yup.
ROSE: Are you alien?
THE DOCTOR: Yes. (Rose stares). Is that alright?
ROSE (quickly): Yeah.
"Wait, did he just claimed himself to be an ALIEN?!" Eren asks in shock and disbelief as the audience widens their eyes and mouth slightly agape to learn the Doctor is an alien. AN FREAKING ALIEN.
"But he looked so... human." Mikasa said.
"Yes." The Historian replies as he narrows his brows and looks at the audience. "And now do you know why I felt offended when you said aliens are monsters like Titans?" He rhetorical asks when a realization struck their minds when they realize and grasp a certitude factor that the Historian is an alien-like the Doctor.
But then a sign of guilt forms on their face when they realize they call him a monster unintentionally before. Petra quickly said to defend herself and the others. "Looks, we sorry for we have offhand and offensive you by calling you a monster. We have no ideas that aliens are much more human like us."
"And besides, how should we know that you were an alien like the Doctor?" Armin said as he was shocked to learn the Historian and Doctor are aliens.
"And I am sorry for have saying that aliens are monsters like Titans." Mikasa said with regret on her face. "We are so sorry for have insulted you, Mr. Historian."
The Historian looks at them in silence for a moment before he widely grins and flicks his Fez hat. "Apology accepted." Then the audience sighs in relief, glad that he forgive them easily. However, they are still shocked to know that the Historian and Doctor are aliens.
At the same time, Amelia rubbed her hand in guilt and anxiety before she took a deep breath and said to the Historian. "Mr. Historian." She looks at him with regret on her face. "I am sorry for being the one who have thought the aliens are like Titans..." She hasn't finished her sentence before the Historian shushes her out.
"Like I said, apology accpeted." The Historian said as he grins. "And besides, consider I let you eat my spiciest curry is a payback." Amelia then looks at him in shock as he winks at her. And then she pouts when she realizes he pranked her for payback. Though, she couldn't help but smile and chuckle at herself. The Historian is undoubtedly the kind of person that has many surprises.
THE DOCTOR: It's called the TARDIS, this thing. T-A-R-D-I-S, that's Time And Relative Dimension In Space.
"The TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimension In Space. Fascinating." Hange writes the names of the ship as she turns to the Historian and asks. "Hey, Mr. Historian..."
Before she could finish her question, the Historian cut her off. And he answers her question. "The TARDIS is a space-time vessel, a vehicle intended to convey the user through time and space. It's our advanced time machine is made by our race, capable of traveling through time." And then he pauses the screen with the remote.
Hang writes in her notebook in wonder and amazement before she realizes and shockingly asks. "Wait, traveling through time?!" Then the audience widens their eyes in surprise.
"Traveling through time, or I would prefer time travel, is the concept of movement between certain points in time, analogous to movement between different points in space by an object or a person, typically with the use of a hypothetical device known as a time machine. Its movement can take place from the present went backward to the past or go forward to the future." The Historian explains as the audience listens to his lecture carefully, intriguing, and full of passion.
"So you saying that..." Armin asks with his sparkly eyes.
"You can travel in everywhere and in any times you want, to the day you were born, the day you die. The day you fall in love, and the day that love ends. To bring back your fond memories, to reliving your hearts and flowers, to reminiscence your happiness memories and childhood, to FEEL something again." The Historian clenches his hands to imply his words.
"Or just shut up, live, travel, adventure, bless, and don't be sorry when you run away with a time machine. Because the journey is matters more than the destination, to go where you feel alive most as every day is an adventure, and no two days are ever alike. After all, life is full of adventure, and the adventure is worthwhile in itself when you run away as fast you can." Then the Historian smiles. "And that's who the Doctor and I are."
The audience is entirely speechless as they are amazed at his speech. When they think about it, he said right about life is full of adventure. And that is what the Survey Corps' purposes are. But the topic they were amazed, astonished and interested most is time travel.
When the Historian explains the concept of time travel and the ideas of traveling through time, the audience thinks about its capability and valuable when they imagine themselves traveling through time. The Scouts could visit every place in the world, uncover and solve the mystery, secrets from the past, which their ancestors' archives lost when they moved to the Walls. Meanwhile, Dina and Amelia have differents thoughts for themselves when they think about the past.
"The ideas of travels through time..." Hange mutters in excitement as her head run a ton of questions and ideas.
'Maybe this would be a chance to prove my father is right...' Erwin's thoughts as he wants to use the time machine to go to the past to verify his father's theory about the outside world.
'If I have a time machine, then...' Levi's thoughts when he wants to use it to travel to the past and maybe, just maybe, want to see his best friends again, Furlan and Isabel.
'Maybe I could uses it to saves...' Eren, Mikasa, and Armin's thoughts are the same thing when they want to save their families and their homes. Eren wants to save his mother and beat the shit out of the Colossal Titan before it destroys Shiganshina District's gate. Mikasa wants to save her parents when the sex traffickers break into her home and kill her parents. She will give those kidnappers no mercy. Armin also wants to save his home and prevent the Royal Government sent his grandfather to his death.
'I wonder... if I could somehow make amends for Zeke.' Dina sadly thought as she thought about her son, Zeke. She loves her son deeply, and she is horrified to learn he has betrayed her and Grisha. Dina thought it also was her fault that her son believed that Grisha and Dina did not love him anymore. She has an idea to use the time machine and makeup with her son.
'I wonder..." Amelia rubs her hands before looking at them. '... If time travel worked in the same way as the Paths. Maybe I could use it to save and free myself from it.' Amelia ponders as her thoughts drift back to her years in the Paths.
During her years in the Paths, she concludes the time is irrelevant and conflicting in there. Since she doesn't know how long she was in there. However, time seems to fly slower in the world than in the Paths. After all, the world has gone through 2000 years. But for her, it was centuries. Maybe. Amelia thoughts to herself as she plays with the hat.
While she was there, she tended to tinker with the Pillar-like tree. She has gone through memories of many Eldian families in the world, sees many things in her life. Except she can't physically interact with anyone. She is like a ghost to everyone else.
And then, she remembers the Attack Titan and its power to transcend time and future memory inheritance ability. On the day Wall Maria fell, Amelia somehow subconsciously sent memories towards Eren of the future. If she was smart, she could guess its power to transcend memories through time, from the past to the future memory for the inheritor. Amelia doesn't know how since something is supposed to stop her from knowing it.
Amelia could say the same thing when she compares the Paths to time travel and time machine. It's similar. However, the difference is that the Doctor can travel everywhen he wants because he has a time machine. She assumes the same thing to the Historian. And she could feel a sense of jealously to see the Doctor and Historian has a time machine that can travel everywhere at any time they want.
"Hey, Mr. Historian." Hange said as she broke out of her dreams as the audience snapped out of it. "It's there a possible way for us to create our own time machine?" She curiously asks as most of them imagine what to do with a time machine again. Meanwhile, the minority have cautious and concerned about building one, which is the careful and the considerate one.
"Hmm..." The Historian hum as he clicks his tongue and answers her question. "That would be a spoiler, but do you want to built one?" The audience confuses by his replies as he sighs. "I mean do you know how to built one?" Then they wides their eyes as a realization struck in their heads.
"Time travel and even built a time machine is beyond your means and knowledge. You guys don't have the technology or information to built one. Because making a time machine is not easy when you make the ODMs gears." And he raises his hands to list the conditions to build a machine. "It requires a professional skills, qualifications, speacialized tools and knowledge in a particular field in order to built a time machine, and not to mention it also need advanced technology and engineering, in which you don't have any conditions and equipment that I stated. So," The Historian adjusted his sunglasses. "I strongly advised you peoples not to built one, especially in your times-" He explains as Eren interrupts him in his mild sentence.
"What can possibly go wrong if we...?"
"-If you don't plan to killed yourself, of course." Then Eren quickly shut his mouth up when he and the others widened their eyes in shock and were horrified to hear the time traveler's sentence.
"Say what now?!" Petra shrieks in horrify.
"When you built your time machine for the first time, you ALWAYS have to be CAREFUL." The Historian said when he implies his words. "Since there will always potentially faults in the machine, which would lead to many grave results, such as malfunction is fine but still have the potential to cause a huge explosion will wipe all of you in a large radius." The audience widens their eyes in horrify. "Or maybe create a rift of time and space causing chaos in your world." "Then Historian narrowed his eyes on the audience and sternly said. "Do you get it now?"
"*Gulp* Noted/Yup/Yes/We get it now/Okay." Petra, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Hange gulp as they reply his words. Now, the audience learns that creating a time machine is not easy and could go wrong if they messed up with things they have no idea what would get their home to demise.
The audience has a mixed of reactions. The scene where the Doctor introduces the TARDIS to the Historian explains the concept and the ideas of time travel and time machine. They were shocked and mesmerized at the scene and Historian's lecture but later sad that they couldn't replicate it. But they understood it was a good thing when they were horrified as he explained the faults of making a time machine.
"But... Damn. It was so cool for you guys to have a time machine." Hange said as her tone contains envy toward the two alien travelers.
"You can freely travel to everywhere, and everywhen you wants, do whatever you wants." Eren said as he and the others felt envy at the Doctor and Historian. "You can do anything you wants."
"Just because we have a time machine and we can do whatever we want, that doesn't mean we can do anything we want." The audience looked at him confused as he sighed. "When our race created the TARDIS, they issued the law to regulated the use of our race power to travel in time known as the Laws of Time. Which you humans wouldn't understand it since its full of the wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff." The audience blinks, then tilt their heads in confusion and look at the Historian unconvinced with their brows raised.
"Wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff?" Levi repeated, his tone indicating what he thought of that. "That's awefully dumb for a time traveler and a scientist like you."
"Why don't you just said time travel stuff?" Mikasa adds. "It will be more easier and less verbose than what you said." Mikasa then throws her arms up. "Also, what you said doesn't make any sense."
"No, it does make sense since you guys aren't expertise in the wibbly wobbly timey wimey field." The Historian retorts as he grins.
"There's no such field like that." Eren said in disbelief.
"Yes, it does. And it is called the wibbly wobbly timey wimey field." The Historian said as Amelia couldn't hold her laughs as she burst out quiet giggles.
"Wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff." Amelia repeated as she found it funny.
"And look, can we debates about it next time? We got an episode to watch here." The Historian points at the frozen screen.
"Yeah/Sure/Whatever." Eren, Mikasa, and Levi said. They don't want to waste time in such a small argument like that.
Hange then looks at Levi with a smirk and teasing face. "You know, it could be a term for time travelers like them. Wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff." And then Levi looks at her with death glares.
"I don't want to hear such words like that again. So if you continue to tease me about it, I will break your glasses, Four-Eyes." Levi spoke with a threatened tone.
"You wouldn't hit a woman or a person with glasses, right?" Hange said with a nervous tone as Levi still glares at her, shut her mouth for good.
(A small sob from Rose). THE DOCTOR: That's okay. Culture shock. Happens to the best of us.
ROSE: Did they kill him? Mickey? Did they kill Mickey? Is he dead?
THE DOCTOR: Oh... didn't think of that.
ROSE: He's my boyfriend. You pulled off his copied him and you didn't even think? And now you're just going to let him melt?!
THE DOCTOR: Melt? (Turns around in time to see "Mickey's head melting with a bubbling noise). Oh, no, no, no, no, no, NO!
He starts running frantically around the console, pressing buttons and pulling levers.
ROSE: What're you doing?!
THE DOCTOR: Reviving the signal, it's fading! Wait I've got it... (Looks at the screen). No, No, No, No, No, No, NO! (The TARDIS shakes as the engines move). Almost there! Almost there! Here we go!
The engines stop and the Doctor runs out the TARDIS doors without another word.
ROSE: You can't go out there, it's not safe!
She follows him outside.
EXT. THAMES EMBANKMENT, OPPOSITE LONDON EYE
THE DOCTOR: I lost the signal, I got so close.
Rose hops out of the TARDIS, looking confused again.
ROSE: We've moved! Does it fly?
THE DOCTOR: Disappears there, reappears here, you wouldn't understand.
"With what we saw inside the blue box, I don't think any of us here are capable understands all of it." Dina comments.
ROSE: But if we're somewhere else, what about that headless thing? It's still on the loose.
THE DOCTOR: It melted with the head, are you going to witter on all night?
ROSE: I'll have to tell his mother...
"Oh, right." Petra gape as she snaps her fingers. "Mickey is still being captured."
"And there's a chance he might get killed by them." Armin said in a nervous tone as the audience worried about Mickey's life.
The Doctor looks at her questioningly.
ROSE: Mickey! I'll have to tell his mother he's dead, and you just went and forgot him, again!
The Doctor rolls his eyes, unconcerned.
"Hey!" Eren exclaims as he and some others don't like the Doctor's unconcern attitude to Mickey. "This is a person life we talks about!"
ROSE: You were right, you ARE alien.
She turns to walk away.
THE DOCTOR: Look, if I did forget some kid called Mickey...
ROSE: Yeah, he's not a kid.
THE DOCTOR (in irritated): It's because I'm trying to save the life of every stupid ape blundering on top of this planet, alright?
"Uh... What is ape he just said?" Hange said as the Scouts are confused at an unfamiliar word the Doctor just said. Meanwhile, Dina looks offended while Amelia raises her brow as the two know what's ape is.
The Historian coughs as he looks away to avoid eyes contact with the Scouts. "Apes is an animal like a large monkey with no tail, that uses its arms to move through trees." Then he pulls out a picture of an ape as the Scouts look at the picture in interest and fascination. "According to the human history and biology book, humans are one type of several living species of great apes and have evolves into a human from 5 to 8 million years ago." The Scouts are amazed and astound to learn how a human being evolves from an animal called an ape.
"But..." Petra's face morphed when she found the Doctor's tone sound irritated. "Why did he calls us humans apes?"
"Basically, calling someone an ape is an insult term. It's mean dumb and primitive people." The Historian genuinely and plainly said as the surprised Scouts realized what it meant. And which it took a few seconds later that their faces turn to frown, irritation when they scowl, stare at the Doctor and Historian.
"That's really offensive!" Eren angrily said.
"Revolting!" Hange offensively gasps.
"That's not nice and decent at all!" Petra pouts as she crosses her arms.
"And for your information, we do tidy up and reorganzie our base in every days." Levi said as he hates people throwing insults at him for being disorder and untidy. "Not to mention, we also wash ourselves, unlike animals." The Historian raises brows at the last sentence.
"How rude you are, you know." Mikasa said as she glared at him while she shook her head.
"Hey, it's not my fault, humans." The Historian defends himself as he throws his hands in mock surrender. "After all, you guys calls us a monster first."
"But that was when we didn't know you are an alien." Eren retorts.
"So? You calls me a monster, and I calls you guys apes. It's a fair-fair, right?" The Historian retorts when the audience finds it's true. But they still don't agree for him to call them dumb and primitive.
"You're right. But still, I still don't like you, and the Doctor compare us to an animal." Dina said as the audience agreed with her.
"*Sighs* Look." The Historian adjusted his sunglasses. "Back at our home, our education and the way of teaching is different from you. We were taught not to look down on primitive planet but only view them from afar. The Doctor and I always respects and loves you guys. He just said that because of our race's education, and he doesn't mean to discriminate against your people." Then the audience looks at each other with an uncertain look on their face.
"And besides, think in a different way and be more rational." The Historian said when he tries to defuse the situation. "If we have the kind of mindset of look down on the humans as primitive, then why would the Doctor bothered to saved Earth many times?" He points at himself. "Or why am I still here and teach you guys many things about Earth in a passionate way?" When he states his logical thought and common sense to the audience. They came to a mutual understanding of the Doctor and Historian's viewpoint and attitude to humans. If their race manages to create an advanced time machine, they must be a powerful and intellectual race to make one. And it is understandable for them to have that kind of mindset about humans.
Like in the Walls, Wall Sina was the innermost Wall protecting the kingdom where the king used to reside along with other noblemen. The Survey Corps' commanders have already known how corrupt the Royal Government and the nobles were, along with the Military Police. They also heard bribery, kidnapped, and black markets which were run and committed by corrupt nobles, businessmen, and staff. Not to mention, the nobles and the citizens of Wall Sina are despised and have disdain looks on the commoners, the poor, and the Scouts themselves.
In the meantime, Dina and Amelia could understand what he said. Their race is being despised and hated by the world.
After a few minutes later, Erwin breaks the silence. "What he's said is true. If he and the Doctor have that kind of mindset, the Doctor would care for himself and not bothers to save Earth. The Historian would go to do his own work and not care to teach us about Earth, which is not according to his reason and standards to be a teacher like what he said." Erwin said his logical and rational reasoning to the audience as they slowly understood his words.
"Well, I could give a second chance." Petra said.
"Yeah, you have been teaching us the basic things about Earth." Hange said as her tone started to brighten up her excitement. "If you don't, then we would still confuse about Earth and can be consider as... primitive people." Hange awkwardly laughs as everyone chuckles at her words.
"I would forgive you." Levi said before he threw a death glare on the Historian. "But don't calls us as apes anymore, understood?"
The Historian shivers as he stutters. "S-S-sure." Then everyone agrees with Erwin's words and continues to watch the episode.
ROSE: Alright!
THE DOCTOR: Yes! It is!
Rose shakes her head disbelievingly.
"You know." The Historian's face turns serious as his tone becomes sterns when he whispers to Dina and Amelia. "Your homeworld can be consider a planet full of apes!" Dina and Amelia looked at him in shock to hear he flatly spoke, but his tone was full of fury, detestation, and disgust as he lowered his glasses. "A planet full of morons always kills themselves. Like to pretend and have idiosyncratic belief of who is right, who is wrong, who is hero or monster while the people are acting like monsters themselves through oppression, murders and using weapons like Titans to crush other people home and cause misery."
Dina wants to say something to defend herself and the Eldians, but the Historian cut her off when he put his glasses back. "And I am not side with anyone, not the Marley nor your people or everyone in your world. I am the Historian. I learns, research and only look for the truth, since the truth is more than you think of." Then he states his personal opinion. "And from my perspective, the Eldians and the Marley are the same. They aren't any better to each other."
As much as Dina wants to refute his words, telling him that the Marleys are the villain in the story and the manipulator who have lies to the world by using propaganda, clever lies, and brainwashing to change the Eldian's history in their way. While her Eldian Restorationists group have rejected Marley's teaching and believed them to be lies, assume is a propaganda way to control her people from revolts.
But his words convey the tone of 'I'm deadly serious.', 'I'm not joking at all.'. Dina could feel he was telling the truth or a part of it when he spoke to her and Amelia in a stern tone with exasperation and disfavor in his mouth. Dina could tell that the Historian stands on neutral ground. However, it makes her wonder why did he spoke harshly and criticize both sides.
Meanwhile, Amelia could understand what he said and why he felt disgusted by her world. It was her fault that the world had been the way it is. Even before and after the Great Titan War, both sides have used the Nine Titans powers for their purpose of conquest, oppression, enslavement, and rule the world with an iron fist. The Eldians and the Marleys used the power of the Titans for world domination and to maintain the unquestioned global dominance.
Amelia looks at her hands as she clenches in guilt. Recalled the day she received the power and thought what would have been if she had been up against and stood up to defy her m-master order. Enough! What were you thinking, Ymir Fritz?! Amelia or Ymir clenches her head and dress as she tries to push those thoughts about freedom and defy the order. You are a slave, Ymir Fritz. Your King has said it himself. You have no right to have free will at all.
Ymir Fritz quickly pushes those thoughts away and continues to watch the episode, hoping to ignore and forget those thoughts away as she reminds herself that she is Ymir Fritz, a slave to the Royal family. Not Amelia Fager, a temporary name.
ROSE: If you are an alien, then how come you sound like you're from the North?
THE DOCTOR: Lots of planets have a North.
He folds his arms indignantly and looks away.
ROSE: What's a police public call box?
THE DOCTOR: It's a telephone box from the 1950s. (Pats the TARDIS fondly, grinning). It's a disguise.
Rose smiles and shakes her head.
ROSE: Okay. And this living plastic, what's it got against us?
THE DOCTOR: Nothing, it loves you. You've got such a good planet. Lots of smoke and oil, plenty of toxins and dioxins in the air... perfect. Just what the Nestene Consciousness needs. Its food stock was destroyed in the war, all its protein plants rotted, so Earth... dinner!
"So... they want to invade Earth, overthrow the human race... just to have the planet as their meal." Petra summarizes while she frowns at the purpose of the invasion to have the planet as food. She and the others are already familiar with certain monsters who want to eat them.
"That's pretty much sum up everything." Levi remarkably said.
"Well, what do you expect, Captain?" Eren said as he narrowed his eyes. "They are monsters who want to oppress, plunder, kill, and deprive humanity's freedom." He crosses his arms. "Not surprise to see the leader want to invade Earth in the third time for its nature to destroy the human race."
The Historian sighs. "As much as I want to agree with you, but I have to disagree with your statements." The audience widens their eyes in shock to see the Historian defend a hostile alien.
"What?!" Eren shockingly asks. "Why?!"
"It is because you are also an alien that you want to justify your fellow alien's hostile action, right?" Mikasa glares at him. She was already aware of the harshness of nature by witnessing how predators hunt and kill weaker prey when she was young. Mikasa could assume the Historian defended Auton's action because he was also an alien.
"That's last question doesn't even relate to this dialogue, but all I can say is that they have reason why they are doing this, and the Doctor would agree with me as well." The Historian said as the audience confused his words. Why does the Doctor would also agree with him?
ROSE: Any way of stopping it?
Grinning, the Doctor produces a tube of blue liquid from his jacket.
THE DOCTOR: Anti-plastic!
Hange quickly wrote down in her notebook, assuming the blue liquid is its weakness.
"And I thought you said he would agree with your opinion." Mikasa smirks.
ROSE: Anti-plastic...
THE DOCTOR: Anti-plastic! But first I've got to find it. How can you hide something that big in a city this small?
ROSE: Hold on... hide what?
THE DOCTOR: The transmitter. The Consciousness is controlling every single piece of plastic so it needs a transmitter to boost the signal.
ROSE: What's it look like?
THE DOCTOR: Like a transmitter. Round and massive, slap bang in the middle of London.
He paces around, agitated, looking around for a clue.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): A huge circular metal structure... like a dish...
He stands facing Rose, his back to the railings of the bridge. Behind him, the London Eye looms 450 feet above them, but he doesn't seem to register.
"Like that?" Petra asks as she pointed at the giant wheel on the screen.
"It's look like a giant water wheel." Armin comments.
"It's calls the London Eye, or the Millennium Wheel, is a cantilevered observation wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. It is Europe's tallest cantilevered observation wheel. And is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom with over 3 million visitors annually after it opened in 1999. The structure is 135 metres tall, and the wheel has a diameter of 120 metres, and you can see the whole London city." The Historian explains as the audience stares at the London Eye in awe and marvels with their sparkled eyes. Imagine what if it feels like when you at the skies and watch the city from that view.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): ...like a wheel. Close to where we're standing. Must be completely invisible.
Rose considers the Eye behind him.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): What?
Rose nods towards the Eye. The Doctor turns around, then back to her, completely nonplussed.
The scene makes some of the audience chuckles at the Doctor acting like a dunce.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): What?
Rose shakes her head, looking at the Eye still. He turns around but still fails to make the connection.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): What is it? What?
The audience laughs when they watch the Doctor was clearly can't take a hint that Rose indicated.
Levi shakes his head in amusement and sighs as he mutters. "Idiot."
Rose simply carries on staring at it.
The Doctor turns around again and finally, it clicks.
"Took you long enough to realize now, isn't it?" Amelia smiles and asks the rhetorical question when she finds the sense of humor from the scene.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): Oh... fantastic!
He grins inanely and runs off.
EXT. LONDON BRIDGE
Hand in hand, the Doctor and Rose run across London Bridge towards the Eye.
EXT. LONDON EYE
They come to a halt at the foot of the Eye.
THE DOCTOR: Think of it. Plastic, all over the world. Every artificial thing waiting to come alive. The shop window dummies, the phones, the wires, the cables...
THE DOCTOR: Still, we've found the transmitter. The Consciousness must be somewhere underneath.
Rose runs off and finds the entrance to a manhole at the foot of the wall she is looking over.
ROSE: What about down here?
The Doctor runs to join her.
THE DOCTOR: Looks good to me.
They run down the stairs to the manhole. The Doctor takes the lid off it, and red light and smoke pour out. They both climb down the ladder underground.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
The Doctor opens the door to another chamber and they go down some steps. The Doctor points to a huge, orange, wobbling mass in the middle of the chamber.
THE DOCTOR: The Nestene Consciousness, that's it, inside the vat. A living, plastic creature.
"Woah! Its that it's true form?!" Hange excitedly asks when she points at the vat.
"At the present, yes. In the past, no. It used to have another appearance." The Historian reply.
"Well, what does it lọok like?" Dina curiously asks.
"Eh, imagine it like a giant combination of octopus and crab, and have one eye. In which I have told you about the sea creatures before, right?"
The audience knows what he means as they remember the lesson he lectures them. The Scouts, especially Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, were marveled, amazed, and surprised to see the variety of marine creatures living under the ocean and on the sand, such as crabs, whales, dolphins, sharks, squid, octopus, turtles, etc. Many different species of animals live in the ocean.
Then, they have shudders thoughts when they picture the Nestene Consciousness's form. A giant combination of octopus and crab, and it only has one eye? That image certainly makes them creep about it. Besides Hange, when she tries to depict its form as she draws.
"Disgusting." Levi said as he felt his skin crawl.
ROSE: Well, then. Tip in your anti-plastic and let's go.
"Hell yeah. Kick its ass." Eren yells in excitement.
THE DOCTOR: I'm not here to kill it. I've got to give it a chance.
"W-w-what?" Eren baffles at the Doctor's words as he checks his ears to see if he misheard what the Doctor just said. "Why did he have to give that monster a chance?!"
The audience is also confused when the Doctor responds throws them off balance. Why did he show the Nestene Consciousness mercy?
"Strange, isn't it?" The Historian smirks as he attracts the audience's attention to him. "The Doctor is a man of mystery and a man full of surprises. Most of the times, he would say or do something unexpected since he is an element of surprise, and the wonders will never cease for me!" The Historian expresses his pleasure to the Doctor.
At the same time, the audience looks at him in unsure. They don't know how to respond or what to think about his gibberish comment.
The Historian clicks his tongue. "And knows the Doctor, he is the man who abhors violence and rather follows and goes the pacify way."
The audience could understand that, but his explanation is still clearing as mud when they learn the Doctor is a pacifist and never used violence?! Which makes them confused, doubt, and question the Doctor's ways.
"Why?" Eren looks at the Historian in question. "Why would he just killed the monster already instead... talk to it?"
"Heh." The Historian smirks. "Like I said, he's the Doctor."
"But that still doesn't answer our question." Mikasa crosses her arms, unhappy with the answer. "Why would he give it a chance?"
"You forgot what he said, right?" The Historian facepalms. "About the reason the Nestene and the Autons invaded Earth."
"Huh?" Eren raises his brows at such a ridiculous question.
"What else to discuss?" Levi scoffs at the absurd question. "They want to take over the planet as their food source. He said it himself."
"Yes. But he does mention about the war, right?" The Historian asks as the audience remembers that Nestene's food stock got destroyed in the war from the Doctor's mouth.
"Therefore?" Erwin furrows his brows, thinking there is much more behind the hostile alien's reason for the invasion.
"Therefore the invasion is more about desperation for their survivals. Not because its nature is a monster attack people for no reason like Titans." The Historian explains as the audience widens their eyes in revelation.
"WHAT?!" Eren exclaims. "No! No fucking way! That thing is a ruthless monster! Your explanation is bullshit!" Eren explodes in anger as he wants to defend his belief.
"Yeah." Mikasa nods in agreement. "And a monster like that thing... is a barbaric beast and doesn't need an excuses for the invasion." Mikasa states as she and Eren shares the same view of black and white morality.
The Historian heavily sighs as he figures it will go this way. Eren would defend his belief since he saw the world as black and white, while Mikasa would agree and follows what he said. Gosh. He never likes the people who have Black and White insanity. He has a reason for it. But that won't stop him, though. He would lecture those kinds of people.
"After their first failed invasion attempt on Earth." The Historian begins his lecture as the audience pays attention to him. "After the second failed attempt when the Nestene made alliance with the evil mad man. AND after many years of war and many attempts to invade Earth," The audience widens their eyes to see the Nestene had at wars for many years while trying to invade Earth. "Its got tired of war and been defeated by the Doctor many time as they invaded the planet. Therefore the Nestene abandoned its conquesting ways when its have enough food stocks, planet colonies to serve its needs. The Nestene wanted to pursued, followed the peaceful way. And so it have made peace with the Plastic Conjunction on Nestenia, a collection of seventeen protein planets that farmed smoke and oil." Then the audience is shocked to learn the Nestene pursues peace and negotiation. "And developing a rapport with the Embodiment of Gris, a mysterious entity who was Master of the Fifth Galaxy prior to the 41st century. According to some accounts, include me and the observers to described relationship as a romance/love." The Historian smirks. "Hell, I even got an invitation to their wedding."
The audience looks at him in disbelief as they learn the history of Nestene, which shocked them most that Nestene had abandoned its conquesting ways and chose to pursue peace. Not only that, but it also made a peaceful and romantic relationship with its neighbor planets and its lover. Story likes that would sound to be unbelievable, improbable, and unconvincing. But when the Historian lectures them, he speaks persuasively, as if he doesn't fabricate with the story or rewrote it on his version.
"If it used to be peaceful like what you said," Mikasa said when she had a question in her mind needed to verify. "Then why it go back to its old conquesting path?" She argues with him.
The Historian's face darkens as he feels uncomfortable when it comes to this sensitive subject. "The War cames, that's why. The War to End All Wars happens between our race and our mortal enemy. It's so deadly, devastated, and destructive happened at all places and time. When the war came to Nestenia, it got destroyed as the Nestene vividly remembered the day it fell, the day everything burns, all of it." Some of the audience puts their hands on their mouth in shock and horrify. "The Nestene lost everything on that day, its home and the food stocks destroyed, and its lover was driven insane in one second when Eminence Gris saw its own planet burns after it got hit by a weapon." The Historian stops for a moment to catch his breath as he says. "And that's why the Doctor chose to negotiate with the Nestene instead of killed it. He pity it."
After the audience heard the reason, the Nestene invaded Earth again. They have mixed up feelings, emotions, and maybe a change of thoughts about Nestene.
The Scouts' commanders and veterans could understand Nestene's reason for Earth's invasion. They feel sorry the Nestene has lost its home and its lover in the war. But, if the Scouts were in Nestene's shoes, they would choose another way to survive instead of invading another planet.
Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Dina are shocks and feel pain to learn its past. And they couldn't help but feel pity for it.
Eren is the one who has trouble most as he couldn't decide whether he should feel mournful and sympathize with the Nestene or not. Based on what the Doctor and the Historian explanation about the Nestene, it is ruthlessly and aggressive. But to hear that it has given up its conquesting way because it got tired of war and wanted to pursue peace is another story. And as much as he wants to deny it. But he couldn't help but feel sorry the Nestene had lost its home and its lover in the war. He feels he could relate to it, and he could feel the Nestene was depressed, downhearted to see its home got destroyed. Which infuriates him most to decide whether he should feel pity and sorrow for its tragedy or not. And the Nestene uses it as a reason to invade Earth.
And Amelia, now understanding how different the aliens and the Titans are. She felt sad, pity for Nestene had lost its home. And could see that it had a mind and emotions when it had given up the war and chose to become a peaceful race. Very different from the Titans, and she wants to learn more about the aliens.
"Eren." The Historian spoke the angry boy's name as he turned to face him. "The world is a grey zone reality. Its not the black and white, just like there's no such thing pure good and evil person among the people. It's just grey, and I have lived long enough to came in a conclusion for it." The Historian said in a well-experienced tone, making Eren have a deep thought about his words.
Meanwhile, the audience could feel that he spoke from his experienced, making them more curious about him, recalling that he and the Doctor are related and have a pearl of wisdom.
"You mention about the war." Erwin narrows his eyes on the Historian as part of his curiosity about the war. "What kind of war it is?"
The Historian frowns. "The only war I have in mind, and its still there ever since I joined it... The war against Death." He said in a flatly and solemn tone. Making the audience has a chill in their spines when he spoke.
Nonetheless, they were curious about the war he named "The war against Death."
They go down some more steps. The Doctor leans over the railings and addresses the Consciousness.
THE DOCTOR: I seek an audience with the Nestene Consciousness under peaceful contract. According to convention 15 of the Shadow Proclamation.
The Consciousness lobbies around a bit.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): Thank you. That I might have permission to approach.
Meanwhile, as Rose paces around in the background, she spots Mickey and runs to him. The Doctor rolls his eyes.
"Hey, look!" Petra happily points out at the familiar face. "Mickey is still alive!" The audience sighs in relief and is glad to see Mickey is still in one piece.
ROSE: Oh, my God! Mickey! It's okay! It's alright!
She squats down next to him.
MICKEY: That thing down there, the liquid, Rose, it can talk!
ROSE: You're stinking! Doctor, they kept him alive!
THE DOCTOR: Yeah, that was always a possibility. Keep him alive to maintain the copy.
ROSE: You knew that and you never said?
"Wait," Mikasa thought for a moment before she asked her question. "Why didn't the Doctor tell Rose soon if he knew the Plastic Mickey needs the original to stay alive when he spies on her?"
The audience notes her question and finds it to make sense. Meanwhile, the veterans know the reason the Doctor couldn't tell Rose before.
"Well, wouldn't you?" The Historian asks as the audience turns their eyes on him as he rolls his eyes and complains. "Oh, come on! I thought you soldiers knows better than this."
"Know better than what?" Armin asks as he raises his eyebrow with his friends.
The Historian looked at the trainer deadpanned when he spoke. "I surprises to see that you haven't learned one of the important thing back at Trost."
"Just tell us already." Eren said as he felt impatient at his questions.
The Historian looks at Eren with a blank face as he replies in a monotone voice. "When you fight against a horde of Titans... you should have knew that no one wouldn't came out alive."
The trainers are stunning when they hear what he just said. However, they don't object nor voice against him but listen to what he says.
"If you and your friends are assigns to be on a expedition. Or in a combat against Titans in offensive and defensive. There's no guarantee for all of them to survives the battle. You all should know the risks and danger when joining the Scouts." Then Historian points at the veterans. "You should asks them more since they have participated in many battles and have many experienced of facing grieving news and reports."
"But what does it have to do with my question?" Mikasa asks him back.
"Its the same thing, Mikasa." The Historian said with a stony face. "The Doctor doesn't know if Mickey still alive or not when he pulls that plastic head out of its body. Mickey would be dead had they arrived late."
"But they didn't," Eren argues. "The Doctor and Rose had arrived just in time before the Autons killed him."
"It doesn't matter if they arrived in the last minute or too late. The Autons could disposed Mickey at anytime, and Rose would be breakdown when she discovers it. The Doctor reassured her boyfriend still alive wouldn't do any help if they came too late. It would be a false hope." The Historian raises his index finger to make a point. "The same thing happened at Trost when all the recruits reassured themselves, their families and friends that they would be fine and encouraged their comrades to be safe and promised to came back at one piece. And look at the aftermath, how many soldiers have died, and how many families have cries and breakdown when they discovers their childs' corpses got devoured by Titans? It must be a traumatic, distressing, horrifying, and painful experience, don't you think?" The Historian's rhetorical question makes the audience preoccupation with his words.
Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are the ones who take most when they ponder about his words, remembering their first battle at Trost. Eren and Armin remember their friends and comrades, Thomas, Milieus, Nack, and Mina. Eren feels regrets the most when he blindly charged at the Abnormal who eat Thomas in anger, causing the deaths of his friends while he was the one who inspired them to join the Survey Corps, they didn't even get the chance to join the Corps because of his reckless and daredevil action. He blames himself for it.
Armin, on the other hand, felt ashamed of himself for being weak and a coward. When he just stood there and froze in fear as he watched his friends get eaten. Wished could do something, but instead breakdown and cried as the coward himself saw Eren gets eaten and then cowered in fear and grief. Then a memory struck his mind as Armin remembers how Hannah, his friend got a mental breakdown when he saw her try to revive Franz with CPR... despite his lower torso being ripped out of his body. Armin could understand why the Historian calls it false hope, account Franz and Hannah loved each other and promised to be safe. Only to find out one of them was dead while the others became very frantic and delusional and attempted to resuscitate.
Mikasa recalled her brush with death experience in Trost after heard of Eren's supposed death. She can describe as stoic and level-headed, rarely seen to lose her cool or be at a loss of what to do, no matter how bleak the situation seems, as her will is strong remarkably. But to be honest with herself, those were just rumors from the people Mikasa saved or the details of the results from Shadis and the higher-ups. She deeply cares for her friends and family and when she hears Eren's death. Mikasa was in a crisis state and fought irrationally, and did not notice that her gas tanks were running out of gas due to her grief and sorrow for her childhood crush's death. However, she had reawakened by her memories of Eren. And Mikasa decided never to give up again as her memories would die with her. And she was even happier to see Eren had survived as he had saved her in his Titan's form.
Back in the present, the three teenagers feel uncomfortable, tense, and unpleasant when the Historian brings those painful and disturbing memories. Even though the battle of Trost has been over for a while, it is still uneasy to remember it.
"I may have said harsh words to you kids, but..." The Historian raises his sunglasses to his forehead. "...Its for your own good to have a reality check of yourself. I spoke the truth since I know you teenagers sometimes prideful but easily get irrational, lose focus, and doing something stupid because of your anger, grief or being scared or put one mind on a particular object, mission." Then he lowers his glasses down from his forehead. "You kids should consider its a beginner's luck to survive the battle, but know this... lady luck will not stays with you forever." The teens then lower their heads down, thinking deeply about what he said to them.
"He's right, brats." Levi said, surprising many people as he has stayed quiet when the Historian lectures the teenagers. "No one will come back from a battle in one piece, including your friends and comrades. I understand why the Doctor couldn't tell Rose before."
"Because he's afraid." Erwin grimly said. He has gone through the same situation before. "Afraid that he couldn't bear to see, how Rose react had he wrong about saving her boyfriend's life. He couldn't have predicted that he would save Mickey from the Autons in time. Just like how we couldn't saved our comrades at danger in time by following our hunch." Erwin remembers how Keith Shadis, his friend, had a breakdown and showed regrets when he couldn't save his comrades, unable to face the terrible news as he couldn't hold himself when facing Moses's mother. Erwin felt pity and sympathy for him as he was also on the same boat as him.
Petra nods her head in approval with her Commander and Captain's words. She remembers the poor soldier who the captain rescued and died at Trost. She thought she and her captain had saved him in time. But, had they come to him a few seconds earlier, he wouldn't have died from losing too much blood.
"And that's why the Doctor decided to keep silent." Levi flatly said. "He doesn't know what will happens next. He just being realistic." Levi lowers his head down, remembers his two deceased best friends, Farlan and Isabel. He always regrets that stormy day. Levi knows the reason the Doctor didn't want to inform Rose that Mickey could save. He could assume the Doctor has experienced as he does. Not everyone will come out alive when fighting Titans.
"Levi's right." The Historian said as he nodded his head in agreement. "Being realistic is ain't bad. Some people think realism is bad because it would low morale or someone's spirits. But the truth is, realism does grow people's minds, taken experience from one of another, and use it in real-life." Then he raises his finger to make his point. "Carlos Wallace once said: 'You must be realistic about the good and the bad in life, or you will never be motivated to try new things, explore ideas and concepts.'"
"Hm." Erwin hummed himself as he and his subordinates agreed with the man's quote. "Wise word he have."
"And remembers these other two quotes everyone," The Historian calmly said. "'Don't be afraid to have a reality check. Taking risks is OK, but you must be realistic.', 'Be safe and be realistic. They're both equally important.' from Joy Mangano and Mick Foley."
The Scouts applaud, agree with the three quotes he said.
"Wow." Hange said in surprise. "I've never thought to heard such wise words from the people of Earth. And they're right, and that's who we are." Hange comments as the Scouts agree with her.
"Oh, Eren and Mikasa." The Historian calls their names as they turn to face him. "A racer named Michael Waltrip have said: 'As a driver, you always want to win every race, but as a car owner, you know that isn't very realistic.' Remembers that." The Historian points at them as they nod their head.
Eren and Mikasa are prideful at themselves, and Eren is excited to kill Titans. But after the battle of Trost, they have learned their lessons from it and started to think more clearly. And when the Historian lectures them and gives them another's man quote. Even though they don't understand the words entirely since it is from an alternate world, they could figure it out by themselves already. Know your strength before you do it.
Overall, the audience has learned valuable lessons about realism.
Especially Dina and Amelia.
Dina looks down in sadness and regrets as she thinks about her son, Zeke. Dina remembers the night when she, Grisha, and Zeke were having dinner, the night when her son begged them to stop, to cease to participate in illegal activities from their group. And she could remember how she gave him an disappointed, disheartened yet angry look. Her husband also given the same look, like her. And he got angrier when Zeke mentioned his deceased aunt Faye, Grisha's young sister. After the dinner, they lectured him about the true history of the Eldians, forced their ideologies onto their child as every night they gave him. Dina and Grisha hoped their son would be their savior, liberated the Eldians, and destroyed Marley.
But that sparks of hope had extinguished when her son had sold them out. She was horrified when she saw Zeke had turned them over to the authorities. But at the same time, she saw fear and regret in his eyes. It makes her realize her mistakes when she got tortured. And during her time at the theater, especially when the Historian lectures about realism. Dina realizes her mistake is Grisha and her neglected their duties as parents to Zeke. If she had been more realistic, then maybe her son would not have sold them out.
She remembers one quote that has hit her most is: 'Don't be afraid to have a reality check. Taking risks is OK, but you must be realistic.' If Dina and Grisha had a reality check, showing care and listening to their son's opinion, then maybe it could have avoided being sold out and turned into mindless Titan. Dina feels regret as she tries to hold back her tears.
Amelia, on the other hand, has thought more deeply about his lesson.
Amelia looks back on her slavery's life, especially remembering the day she turned into the first Titan and continues to serve her King. Frankly, she could consider herself a close-minded person because of the unexplainable reason that she doesn't want to share with anyone in the audience. They would call it absurd. Besides, Amelia has different reasons, and one of the reasons she kept serving the Royal family was her obedience. While it is true that she had a happy childhood with her loving parents, but they were incredibly strict with rules and would punish her harshly if she broke the rules or had an act of disobedience and rebellion. Amelia remembers one time she played with her friends and came back home with mud on her clothes as her parents told her not to get dirty and got punished harshly because of it.
And even if she got put into slavery, she kept following the same basic principle still applied: obey.
'How ironic.' Amelia bitterly smiled as she found the dry humor when she recalled the day became the first Titan. She did once thought about using her power to avenge her family and her village. But she didn't because any independent and rebellious thoughts she may have once had had long been wiped away, and there was only one thought in her mind that her King always told her every single day: obey.
And that's why she kept serving the Royal Family up till now. Because she has to obey them, whether she likes it or not, even she had done many terrible things in her life and the Paths. She has to comply with their order, like a servant, a slave.
But that's all change when she met the four certain people that caused her to have internal conflicts in her heart and mind. That is Eren, the boy who fought for freedom. Bad Wolf, the mysterious and powerful entity, likes herself, except she is free. The Doctor, a mysterious traveler who has a box that is bigger on the inside. And the Historian who pranks her, messing with her yet treats her with kindness and teaches many valuable lessons.
Now, if she thinks back to what he said about being realistic, wonders if she was more pragmatic in trying to break free from being a slave, then maybe she would not be a Titan in the first place. Amelia clicked her tongue in frustration when her heart kept telling her to be free while she reprimanded herself that she was just a slave. She's a nobody.
"You not." A stern voice sounded near her ear as Amelia looked up and saw the Historian faces her. "In a novel called Jane Eyre, written by Charlotte Brontë, it says: "I am no bird, and no net ensnares me. I am a free human being with an independent will." Like I said, you are a person with an independent will. And no one will ever take away your freedom." The Historian smiled at her.
Amelia thinks about the quote he gave her. 'Freedom...A free human being with an independent will, huh?' Amelia thought to herself when the word "Freedom" and "Human being" echoed in her head. She has lost it for a long time.
The Historian looks at her emotionless face with concern and pity. He immediately remembers a quote and said. "A philosopher named Bertrand Russell once said: 'The secret of happiness is to face the fact that the world is horrible, horrible, horrible.' Maybe you would find one when you faces the reality." Amelia then looks at him with a questioning look.
Then, he chuckles. "Alright, that might confuse you a bit, of course." Then a deadpanned look showed from Amelia's face. "To help you more understand, there's a guy named Roy Mustang have said: "Nothing's perfect, the world's not perfect, but it's there for us, trying the best it can. That's what makes it so damn beautiful."
"I thought Mikasa had already said that." Amelia questions him with a raised brow. Recalling that she has heard Mikasa's quote about the world is cruel and yet is beautiful.
"Yeah, it's the same, but that's difference." The Historian waves his left hand. "My point is that sometime the world could be horrible and not perfect. What Mr. Russell meant is if you accept the world is horrible, you can found the happiness and the tranquility within it, and we have to tried our best to search and find it." The Historian points his finger at Amelia's chest. "However, you must discover who you are by believing in yourself with determination."
Amelia places her hands at her heart, thinking deeply about what he said. About discovering who she is, something that she hadn't thought about it.
THE DOCTOR: Can we keep the domestics outside, thank you?
"Good." Levi comments. "I also don't want to see the two of you argued about it. Don't want to be involves with your indoor relationship now." Levi's comments make the Scouts snickers at his remarks.
Rose helps Mickey to his feet. The Doctor approaches the Consciousness.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): Am I addressing the Consciousness? Thank you. If I might observe, you infiltrated this civilization by means of warped, shunt technology. So, may I suggest, with the greatest respect, that you shunt off?
The plastic globbers in what appears to be a negative manner.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): Oh don't give me that, it's an invasion! Plain and simple! Don't talk about constitutional rights!
The plastic rears what would appear to be its head angrily.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): I... am... talking! This planet is just starting. These stupid little people have only just learnt how to walk, but they're capable of so much more. I'm asking you on their behalf - please, just go.
"I don't know whether I should take that as a compliment," Hange comments with a confused face. "Or should I feels insult about it."
"Maybe both." Levi comments flatly.
Two Autons approach the Doctor from behind.
ROSE: Doctor!
"Oh no." Petra gasps. "They got him."
The Autons grab him. One of them takes the anti-plastic out of his jacket pocket.
"And things started to go south now." Armin said with fear in his tone when he knew what was going to happen next.
THE DOCTOR: That was just insurance! I wasn't going to USE it.
The plastic globbers angrily.
"Yeah. It sounds like its not going to be fooled again." Mikasa comments dryly.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): I was not attacking you. I'm here to help. I'm not your enemy. I swear, I'm not... what do you mean?
Doors above him open to reveal the TARDIS.
"How does it get here?" Hange question as the audience is surprised to see the TARDIS is there.
"You will find out soon." The Historian reply.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): Oh, oh no, honestly, no! Yes, that's my ship.
The plastic roars.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): That's not true. I should know, I was there. I fought in the war. It wasn't my fault! I couldn't save your world! I couldn't save any of them!
The audience notices the cracks in his voice when he tries to plead the Nestene. There was pain, regret, and loss. And he said that he fought in the war.
Now they could see why the Doctor chose to talk with the Nestene instead of killing them. He felt guilty for he couldn't save their home in the war.
Some of them would think is a noble act, while the others thought he should neutralize them when he got the chance. But seeing this, they could guess the Doctor would choose the former one.
ROSE: What's it doing?!
THE DOCTOR: It's the TARDIS! The Nestene has identified its superior technology. It's terrified! It's going to the final base. It's starting the invasion! Get out, Rose! Just leg it! Now!
The audience's face went pale.
Rose dials a number on her mobile.
ROSE: Mum?!
"Oh no, her mom." Mikasa exclaims as she worries about Rose's mom.
EXT. TOWN CENTRE
Jackie is going down the steps of a police station.
JACKIE: Oh, there you are, I was just gonna phone. You can get compensation. I said so. I've got this document thing off the police - don't thank me!
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
ROSE: Where are you, mum?
EXT. TOWN CENTRE
JACKIE: I'm in town!
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
ROSE: Go home! Just go home, right now!
EXT. TOWN CENTRE
JACKIE: Darling, you're breaking up, look, I'm just going to do a bit of late-night shopping. I'll see you later. Tara!
She hangs up.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
ROSE: Mum?! Mum!
EXT. TOWN CENTRE
Jackie heads into the Queens Arcade shopping centre.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
The Consciousness sends out a signal.
THE DOCTOR: It's the activation signal! It's transmitting!
EXT. LONDON EYE
The electric blue signal shoots around the Eye.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
ROSE: The end of the world...
EXT. LONDON EYE
The activation signal transmits from the London Eye.
INT. QUEEN'S ARCADE
Clive is in the shopping centre, talking to his wife.
"And there's Clive and his family." Eren points out as the audience is more worried about Clive's family.
CLIVE: There's no point creating a spreadsheet if you're going to spend summer money in the winter months.
Caroline gasps as she walks past a shop window and the dummy taps the glass.
CAROLINE: Oh my God! I thought they were dummies! I nearly had a heart attack!
They look around and all the dummies are doing the same. Clive's wife smiles appreciatively... until they punch their way through the glass and step out of the windows. Jackie is coming down an escalator and looks in disbelief at the dummies walking around.
CLIVE: It's true. Everything I read, all the stories! It's all true!
"Clive, I admire your enthusiastic about being right-" Hange awkwardly said as she knows the feeling when she was right. "-But this is not the time to-" Hange hasn't got the chance to end her words as a scene happens next.
A dummy turns towards him. Its hand comes off and reveals a gun, which shoots him, and then his head is blown off by the Auton as his lifeless body falls to the ground, while his family fled for their lives screaming.
Hange's words got died in her throat when she and the others just saw how Clive's head got blown off by one of the Auton's guns. The audience cringes at the gory scene. They are already used to the gruesome and bloody part of their life. But it still hurt them when an innocent man got killed brutally, not to mention he is also a father and has a family.
The audience could watch in silence as they prayed and mourned Clive's death.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
The Doctor is still being held hostage.
THE DOCTOR: Get out, Rose! Just get out! Run!
Part of the ceiling falls in.
ROSE: The stairs have gone!
Rose and Mickey try desperately to get into the TARDIS.
ROSE (CONT'D): I haven't got the key!
MICKEY: We're gonna die!
DOCTOR: No!
NESTENE: Time Lord.
"Time Lord." Hange quietly said as she was intrigued at the Doctor and Historian's race.
The name "Time Lord" arouses the audience's curiosity, especially when they want to learn more about them.
INT. QUEEN'S ARCADE
The shopping centre is in chaos. Jackie stands at the bottom of the escalator looking confused for a few seconds, then screams and runs, dropping her shopping bag.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
Mickey and Rose are still cowering at the door of the TARDIS.
EXT. STREET
Outside, Jackie finds that there is just as much chaos outside the shopping centre as there is inside. An army of dummies comes out of the doors. Jackie runs down the road and ducks behind a car outside a wedding shop. The dummies in the window punch through the glass. Jackie screams. (There nothing much to say, it is utter and bloody chaos out there).
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
Rose watches the Doctor struggle to get to the anti-plastic, then seems to reach some kind of decision. She stands up.
"What's she doing?" Petra thought out loud as the audience saw Rose starts to stand up.
"She is fighting." Eren reply as he knows what Rose will do in this situation.
MICKEY: Just leave him!
EXT. STREET
The wedding dummies advance dangerously on Jackie. All three hold their arms out ready to shoot.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
Rose takes action.
The audience observes Rose's actions, interests in what she will do to save the day.
MICKEY (CONT'D): There's nothing you can do!
Rose picks up an axe.
ROSE: I've got no A-Levels.
EXT. STREET
The dummies raise their guns.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
ROSE (CONT'D): No job...
EXT. STREET
The hands open to reveal the space where the bullets can be released.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
ROSE (CONT'D): No future.
EXT. STREET
Jackie cowers. Rose hacks at a chain on the wall, trying to release it.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
ROSE (CONT'D): But I tell you what I have got. Jericho Street Junior School under 7s gymnastic team.
The chain comes loose and Rose grabs onto it.
ROSE (CONT'D): I got the bronze!
Eren smiled as he figured it out. Rose isn't the type who will sit there and watch. She will stand up and fight against the monster.
The audience is also surprised to see Rose standing up and making a move to save the day.
Rose swings across the gap over the Consciousness. She kicks the Autons holding the Doctor hostage into the Nestene, anti-plastic and all. The Consciousness starts to writhe and scream. Rose lands safely in the Doctor's arms at the other side of the gap.
"Nice job, Rose!" Eren cheers as the audience cheers along with him.
THE DOCTOR: Now we're in trouble.
The Consciousness starts to explode as Rose and the Doctor runoff. The signal from the Eye is cut off.
EXT. STREET
The Autons in the high street that were previously attacking people, stop and start to twitch as if they are doing some kind of dance. Jackie uncovers her eyes warily.
INT. UNDERNEATH LONDON EYE
Rose, the Doctor, and Mickey all manage to reach the TARDIS. Rose grins at the Consciousness before she goes in and closes the door, as it starts to die. Just before the whole chamber goes up in flames, the TARDIS disappears.
EXT. STREET
The dummies all fall to the ground, twitching at first, but dead.
"She saved the day." Amelia quietly said. On her lip crack a small smile. At that moment, she decided to like that woman, maybe because she proved to be someone special, not ordinary.
EXT. ALLEYWAY
Mickey runs backward out of the TARDIS and falls over, looking terrified. He backs against a wall. Rose, however, steps out and rings her mother on her mobile.
EXT. STREET
JACKIE (answers phone): Rose! Rose! Don't go out of the house, it's not safe!
EXT. ALLEYWAY
Rose laughs in relief to hear Jackie's voice.
EXT. STREET
JACKIE (CONT'D): There were all of these things! And they were shooting! And they...
EXT. ALLEYWAY
Satisfied that Jackie is alive, Rose hangs up on her, smiling to herself.
EXT. STREET
JACKIE (CONT'D): Hello? Hello?
EXT. ALLEYWAY
Rose runs over to Mickey.
ROSE: A fat lot of good you were!
Mickey whimpers. The Doctor stands in the doorway of the TARDIS.
THE DOCTOR: Nestene Consciousness? (Clicks fingers). Easy.
ROSE (teasingly): You were useless in there. You'd be dead if it wasn't for me.
"Not at all, Rose." Hange voices her opinion. "In fact the anti-plastic does saves the day, and the Doctor was the one who brought it. So, it's also his contribution as well."
"But all the things could have avoided if he kills that thing in the first place." Eren argued back.
THE DOCTOR: Yes, I would. Thank you. Right then! I'll be off! Unless, uh... I don't know... you could come with me.
The audience perks up to see the Doctor offers Rose a ride with him.
Rose looks at him and puts her hands in her pockets.
THE DOCTOR (CONT'D): This box isn't just a London hopper, you know, it goes anywhere in the universe free of charge.
"Sound like a good offering I would take." Eren comments. He does like to travels as well, along with his friends.
MICKEY: Don't! He's an alien! He's a thing!
"Mickey! That's not nice to calls him like that." Petra pouted. "And he just saved your life, man."
"I couldn't blame him, though." Erwin said. "I mean. we would also totally freak out if we were in his shoes, right?" The Corps nods their head in agreement.
"Also, I think he just lost his chance to travel with the Doctor. After he calls him a thing." Amelia snickering said. "Now that's ironic. We also calls our host a monster as well." The audience chuckles as they remember it.
"So, Mr. Historian. Would you offers us a ride with your TARDIS?" Hange jokingly said.
"After you called me a monster." The Historian sneers. "You guys are defenitely NOT invited at all."
"Noooo!" Hange dramatically screams as the audience laughs at their comedic duo antic.
THE DOCTOR: He's NOT invited. What do you think? You could stay here and fill your life with work and food and sleep, or you could go, uh... anywhere.
ROSE: Is it always this dangerous?
THE DOCTOR (nods): Yeah.
Mickey puts his arms around Rose's legs like a little child.
ROSE: Yeah, I can't... I've um... gotta go and find my mum and um... someone's gotta look after this stupid lump... (Small laugh, pats Mickey on the back). So...
THE DOCTOR: Okay. See you around.
Rose looks at him intensely, as if she still hasn't really made up her mind. The Doctor does not take his eyes off her, but closes the door. Rose looks at the closed door. The engines of the TARDIS rev up, and it slowly disappears. Rose stares at the space where it was, lost in thought.
ROSE: Come on, let's go.
Mickey is in absolute shock, staring at the empty space where the TARDIS stood.
ROSE (CONT'D): C'mon... come on...
She helps him to his feet and they begin to walk away. However, the sound of the engines is heard again. Rose and Mickey spin around. The TARDIS reappears. The Doctor pops his head out.
THE DOCTOR: By the way... Did I mention, it also travels in time?
"And now that is a great chance you can't miss and say no, isn't it?" Armin said.
He grins and goes back in, leaving the door ajar. Rose turns to Mickey.
ROSE: Thanks.
MICKEY: Thanks for what?
ROSE: Exactly.
She kisses his cheek and runs into the TARDIS with a broad smile on her face. And the screens turn off.
"So," The Historian walks in front of his audience, rubbing in hand in excitedly after he puts down his cat on his seat. "What do you think about it?"
"It was awesome!" Eren exclaim.
"And really excited to see another life forms out of space!" Hange excitedly said. "Not to mention they have appearance looks like us, human."
"Yeah, never thought to see an alien that looks like human." Armin nods.
"And don't forget about what Rose just did. It was heroic and epic for her to saved the day." Mikasa said.
"Have to gave them a credit." Levi comments. "They're not so bad at all."
"But hey, the reward for her heroic action is to travels with him." Petra said.
"Yeah." Eren nods. "An offers to travelling the universe is a chance of a lifetime. Hell, I wouldn't turn down that offer too." He said when he imagined himself to be excited to go to the outside world.
"Not to mention, time travel~." Hange sing. "It's extraodinary to travel anywhere in time."
"She's lucky." Erwin comments.
The audience continues to speak out of their minds about the episode. Whether about the Doctor as an alien and having ship that is bigger on the inside. Extraterrestrial beings do exist in space. Or comments about Rose's efforts to save Earth.
"Does anyone have any question after the episode?" The Historian asks as the audience stops talking and think of a question to ask the Historian. "Anyone?" Then a little hand raises. "Yes, Amelia?"
It turned out that Amelia was the one to raise her hand first because she wanted to ask him a question that bothered her and wanted to satisfy her curiosity. "Who are you, and how old are you?"
The audience raises their eyebrows, not understanding her question while the Historian is nervously laughing. "I'm the Historian. And I'm 35 years old."
Amelia then chuckles at herself as she replies. "That's not true at all. Because the way you spoked, lectured us. Its sounds like you seem to be more older than to have a pearl of wisdom yourself. Not to mention, you seems to knows more about the Nestene enough to tell us the story and your life experiences. Tell me, Mr. Historian," Amelia resist the urge to smirk. "How old are you?"
"She's right." Erwin nods in agreement as he and the others understand her question. "You seem to be more knowledge and experience to know more than anyone here." He gestures around him. "Even I have to admit myself, the knowledge you acquainted is beyond what I'm having now, any of us here."
"So I think you better to starts telling us how old are you really is." Levi agrees with Erwin as his eyes glare at the Historian. "There's no point hiding us now."
The Historian lowers his head as he starts chuckling at himself and looks at Amelia with a big grin. "Congratulation, Amelia Fagers. You're the first one to suspect something weird about me." He claps his hands at her as if she has uncovered the secret behind the painting. "In my 2000 years of time and space, you are MAYBE the first one who open to doubt my appearance."
"Wait a minute," Petra intervene as she finds his sentence sounds odd. "When you said 2000 years," Her eyes wides. "Do you mean-?"
"Yes," The Historian nods in to confirm. "I'm over 2000 years old now. Much older than any of you here." Armin, with his wides eyes, intends to ask him as the Historian answers him first. "And that's also mean I am immortal as well. Thank you very much."
The audience's reaction could best describe being shell-shocked and speechless when they learned their host/teacher is an immortal. A FREAKING immortal! And they could hear Hange is muttering uncontrollably.
Wait, does that mean...?!
'The Doctor is also an immortal like him as well?!' The audience internally screams.
Dina gulps as she asks him. "Then how old is the Doctor now?"
"Sorry, can't spoiler to you." The Historian grins. "But to satisfy your curiosity, the man you see on the screen-" He points at it. "-Is 900 years old."
Again, the audience is amazed to learn more about them.
Suddenly, a scream that is so loud could make everyone deaf. The audience turns to see Hange is shouting her lungs out as she darts to the Historian, lunges at him at full speed, knocking both of them to the ground. A couple of seconds later, Hange is now sitting on the Historian lying down on the ground when she starts to examine his face and his body with her fingers in rapidly.
"I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!" Hange excitedly said. "How can't you be aged?" She examines his face by pinching his cheeks. "What does it feel like to be an immortal?" She then checks his arms. "Oh! How is your face is still the same, like no wrinkles in over 2000 years? I have so many questions!" Hange squealed in excitement as she started to act like a madwoman as her face was now close to the Historian's face.
"Dammit Four Eyes!" Levi appears behind her. He then karates chop on her neck, knocking her out and pulling her away from the Historian.
"Jesus Christ!" The Historian exclaims as he stands up and dusts himself. "She certainly sure energetic and very hyperactive when it comes science and discovering new things, right?"
"You have no idea how pain it is when we have to deal with her crazy side." Levi glances over Hange as he feels disgusted at the drool on her mouth. "Sorry for having you to deal with this."
"Nah, its okay." The Historian brushes off his shoulder and takes off his sunglasses to clean up. "Besides, I used to have a co-worker... or a friend of mine that is more crazier than her." He then put his glasses in his coat pocket. "I get used to it."
Levi can only sigh and give the Historian a look of pity as he pats his shoulder. "I feel your pain." He said when he always be the one to handle Hange's craziness. And hearing someone that had dealt with the same problem as him, he could only feel sympathy for him.
"Anywho," The Historian decides to change the subject as he walks toward Erwin Smith and gives him an Earth salute. "Commander Erwin Smith, it's my pleasure to meet you."
Erwin salutes him back. "It's also my pleasure to meet you as well, Mr. Historian."
"I believe you have some questions to asks, right?"
Erwin nods. "Yes, could you please tell us more about your races, the Time Lords?" He asks as he can't hide his curiosity.
"Consider that you're an immortal." Petra said as she couldn't also hide her shock.
"Wait!" Hange suddenly wakes up, which startles everyone close to her. "I still have many questions to asks!"
"Alright, calm your horses. There's a few questions I could answer, but some couldn't since its spoiler." He looks at Hange. "You will have to wait for it."
"Aww. What a boomer," Hange dramatically said. "Could you please?" She gave her puppy eyes.
"No." The Historian flatly replies.
"Eren, what do you think about what he said?" Mikasa asks as she glances at the Historian who is having a conversation with the Scouts. "About being immortal."
"It's a shocking news." Eren said with his wide eyes. "He's... an immortal... like-"
"Titans." Armin nods in agreement. "But unlike Titans, he's an alien from outer space." Armin looks at the Historian. "And he's so look like us."
"It's amazing to know the Doctor and Historian are immortals, and yet they helps people." Eren said.
"I know, right." Armin nods. "If our planet have an immortal like them, it will be an amazing discover for us humanity." Armin said. "I'm wondering if there's another one outside there like us."
"Yeah, and I would love to meet someone like that." Eren jokingly said. And in response, his friends laugh at his jokes.
But unknown to him, his joke is like an arrow to a certain blond-haired girl. Amelia's emotions could be best to describe: jealously and envy at the Historian. He is an immortal like her, but on the contrary, he is free while she is stuck in the Path and obeying a dead king's order. Dina, as she is right next to her, saw she pouts and twirling her hair.
Feel concerned, she asks. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Amelia shrug as she first time pouts in jealously. "It just that..." She places a palm on her head. "The Historian and the Doctor have more freedom than me. The Doctor is 900 years old. And the Historian is over 2000 years old, which above my age!" She exclaims as she throws her hands up. "And they have a chance to travels throughout the universe while I stuck in the Path for 2000 years." She then crosses her arms.
"So you're jealous?" Dina said as she figured it out.
"Yeah." Amelia responds emotionless. "I envy at them. I trapped in the Paths while you turned into a Titan for 18 years. Talk about the irony."
Then Dina gave her a motherly smile as she said. "Well, you have the right to felt jealous of them. It is our emotions, after all." Dina couldn't lie to herself as well. She does feel jealous of them.
Amelia looks at Dina before getting lost in her thought, thinking about what she said. 'Huh. It is a long time since I felt emotion inside of me.' Amelia looks at everyone with a blank face. 'I had stop caring about anything for a long time and had followed everyone's orders. However,' Amelia thought back about the people she met. 'After I met Eren, Bad Wolf, and got pranked/teased by the Historian multiple times. I almost felt like a little girl, a normal person.' Then she quickly shook her head. 'You're thinking overgoing, Ymir Fritz. You're just a slave, like your King has said. And you have no rights to have free will.'
At the time she ends her thoughts, the Historian also ends his conversation with the Scouts. "Okay, that question could be answer later, Hange." The Historian said to Hange as she looked down in disappointment. "Alright, everyone." He whistles to the audience. "Back to your seat, we are going to watch the next episode. And it will be a mind-blown for all of you."
"What is it?" Eren excitedly asks.
The Historian grins as he put back his sunglasses. "Believe me, the dawn of the daylight will blown your mind up... and it will be the last thing you see it."
