I hope I wrote Stuart in character for this. I hope everyone enjoys reading this!

Stuart Bloom gave a miserable sigh as he looked around himself at what used to be the comic book store that he owned and worked at. There had been a fire here and it had started all because he had gone out for a short while and accidentally left something cooking on the stove.

He felt devastated, he loved this store and now it was gone. He felt even worse when Sheldon, a man who he considered to be a friend of his, paid him a visit and instead of comforting Stuart the other man had complained that it had ruined his day.

Stuart was certain that his boyfriend Harry would give him the comfort he needed right now as Harry was a kind man and a loving and supportive boyfriend but Stuart didn't want Harry to see him like this.

Stuart's boyfriend was a handsome thirty-year-old man, he was of average height, probably close to the same height as Stuart was. He was lean with some slight muscles, he had short, messy, black hair, a lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead, bright green eyes behind a pair of black, round glasses and scars on one of his hands.

Giving it some thought Stuart decided to himself that he would give Harry a call or text even though he hated the thought of giving his boyfriend another reason to worry about him. He didn't want Harry to learn of what happened from someone else.

Stuart gave another miserable sigh and got out his mobile phone and texted Harry. Once he was finished typing the text into his phone, he gave it a quick read.

The text read:

Harry, don't visit the comic book shop anymore. There was a fire. Please don't visit me, I don't want you to see me the way I am right now.

Satisfied with the text Stuart sent it and then put his phone away with yet another miserable sigh. He then continued to go through of what was left of the comic book shop and clean up.

Shortly after however Stuart received a text in reply from Harry that said:

I'm on my way, don't leave the shop please!

Panic filled Stuart, as he really didn't want Harry to see him so miserable or to see the comic book shop like this. However, he supposed the thought of seeing someone who cared about him and who he cared about did make him feel a tiny bit better.

Stuart sat down at the spot where he stood and waited for his boyfriend to arrive.

It was probably fifteen or twenty minutes later when Stuart heard someone enter the comic book shop.

Stuart looked towards the entrance of the store and saw Harry walking slowly into the comic book shop and looking around with shock.

Stuart stood up and walked towards Harry, "Hey Harry….Sorry…That you have to..to see all of this..." said Stuart quietly. "I told you not to come"

Harry looked to Stuart and Stuart could see a mixture of emotions in his boyfriend's eyes. Concern, worry, shock and sadness staring at Stuart out of those beautiful green eyes of Harry's.

"Doing nothing just isn't possible for me Stuart, you need me, so I'm here" Harry said in a quiet and firm voice.

Stuart was quiet for a few minutes but soon spoke again "Thank you..." he said before wiping away a few tears that had escaped and were rolling down his cheeks.

"Are you hurt? What happened Stuart?" Harry asked, his voice a worried tone.

Stuart gave a sigh, "I…I..No , I'm not hurt. It's just..Just the store , I've…I've lost everything Harry..As you can see. I was cooking something in the back and I forgot to turn the stove off and I went out for a short while and when I came back…"

More tears fell down Stuart's face, however he made no attempt to wipe them away this time.

Harry was silent, not saying anything in response to Stuart's tearful words. Instead, he stepped closer to Stuart and pulled the other man into a comforting hug.

Stuart embraced the other man back, wrapping his arms around Harry and he couldn't help but continue to cry as they hugged each other.

The two men continued the comforting embrace for a short while, holding each other firmly but gently.

After they separated Harry gave Stuart a brief loving kiss on the lips before saying, "I'll help clean up and you can stay at my place for as long as you need to, okay Stuart?"

Stuart felt hesitant and nervous at Harry's words but he gave a nod.

"S..Sure…Okay..Yes. That's fine." Stuart replied quietly.

Harry smiled a sort of comforting smile at Stuart, gave the man a small hug, kissed him briefly on the forehead and soon started to help Stuart with cleaning up of what remained of the comic book store.

Much later the two men left the store and Harry drove them both to his home, both men silent during the drive there.

After dinner Stuart and Harry sat together on the couch, Stuart leaning against his boyfriend's shoulder and Harry holding onto Stuart's hand as they both watched TV.

That night as Stuart and Harry laid in bed together, Stuart felt nervous as this was actually the first time they had shared a bed together, despite them now dating for at least a couple months now. Stuart liked it, they weren't having sex together but just by having Harry with him it was nice and it was comforting.

The following morning when Harry and Stuart ate a breakfast together of toast and scrambled eggs Stuart looked to Harry as they still sat at the breakfast table.

"Harry…thank you for yesterday…um..I love you" said Stuart, his voice sort of quiet.

Harry stared at Stuart, "You're welcome Stuart, I'm glad I could make you feel better after what happened and um…I love you too."

Stuart smiled at that, he still felt miserable at what had happened to him but at the moment he felt a bit better.
