Chapter 23: A Hellish Christmas (Part 1)

Krampusnacht had came and gone, and Moxxie and Alastor were upset that Krampus had manage to escape their grasps once again. Blitzo was pretty pleased at receiving his gift. Though he had to tackle Moxxie and Alastor to ensure that their gifts weren't destroyed this year. Millie had soothed her husband's irritated nature. Making sure to kiss and nuzzle him as much as she could to cheer him up. Now everyone was preparing for Christmas!

Millie's oldest brother, Butch, and his wife Clementine had finally made it up to the hotel! Along with their new baby! All the siblings were currently cooing at the infant. Unable to ignore the little bundle that had arrived.

"He's so cute!" Millie squealed.

"Yeah, how'd someone ugly like ya make a baby so sweet?" Sallie teased. "Must taken after Clem more than ya."

"Ha ha, very funny, May." Butch replied in a deadpan tone.

"Speaking of sweet, what's that delicious smell?" Clementine sniffed the air along with her baby.

"Oh! That's Moxxie and Alastor's cooking," Millie answered. "Both have commanded the kitchen for Christmas dinner."

"Is that a good thing?" Raz asked. "Letting the Radio Demon cook…?"

"Don't worry, Charlie and Elli are monitoring them so there aren't 'surprise' dishes being served," Vaggie told them as she passed by, dragging Angel Dust away from the presents under the tree.

"Yup!" Niffty popped up unannounced, spooking the guests. "We're gonna have Christmas ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, Christmas-style jambalaya, steamed vegetables, cookies, bread rolls, sweet potatoe casserole, Yule log…"

"Damn it, shorty, I am already hungry, don't make it worse!" Blitzo scowled.

"Speaking of worse, didn't we tell you to take these horses outside!?" Vaggie scolded.

Blitzo tilted his head upward in defiance as he sat atop one of Rosie's horses that he brought inside.

"The weather is awful outside! You expect me to leave these poor babies outside!?"

"There are stables outside for them!"

As the two argued, everyone turned their attention back to the conversation. Mimzy added in, as she looked at the baby imp.

"Oh he's so adorable. Reminds me of when we adopted Moxxie. What did you name him?"

Clementine and Butch looked at each other, then down at their son, who was looking around at everyone and everything in the room.

"We talked a lot about it. And ultimately, I let Clementine named him. First and middle name. With the agreement that I get to name our first daughter. She had a very good reason for why she wanted to give those specific names to our son."

"What was the names?"

Clementine petted her son's hair. Her eyes getting a distant look in them.

"It was mostly for my cousin. This time of the year really upsets him. His parents and his little brother ended up getting Exterminated after the holidays. He came to live with me and my family as kids. But my mother and brothers didn't treat him very well. I always promised myself that my first born would carry his father's and brother's name. In a way to honor them both. My cousin's little brother was just a baby when he was taken away. And losing all three of them just... shattered him." She gave a sad smile at her child, holding him close. "I named our child Razor Kaos, after them.

"Aww, that so sweet of you," Mimzy smiled sweetly, before turning her attention to the baby. "We hope you enjoy your first Christmas experience here, little baby Razor."

"Definitely gonna be better than our Krampusnacht..." Muttered Sallie May.

"Oh come on, Sallie! It's was fun!" Millie laughed.

"Yer prim an' proper husband went full feral and attacked Krampus when he got into the hotel! Don't know how he even knew he got in…"

"Al's shadows were keeping watch."

"But the second the beast got in, yer husband went through the entire hotel chasing him with a chainsaw!"

"…I'm sorry what happen during Krampusnacht?" Butch asked his folks.

"Er…ya remember Moxxie, Millie's husband?" asked Lin.

"Yeah…vaguely…"

Butch remember the well dressed imp only through a very quick family get together that he had to leave early. Though at the time he was still Mills' boyfriend.

"Well…him and his father have a bit of a…er rivalry with Krampus," Joe tried to explain.

"Excuse me?" Clementine was puzzled. "A 'rivalry'? With the Christmas' devil?"

"More like Al and Moxxie-boy go a-hunting for the beast every year." Remarked Angel Dust.

"Yer jokin', right? No one is actually crazy enough to go hunting for Krampus!" Butch chuckled, not believing it. Loona answered his question by showing him the video she took of Al and Moxxie hunting Krampus during the night. "…oh my Satan."

"Yeah." The Hellhound responded. "They're fucking psychos."

Before Butch could ask more questions, they were interrupted by the sound of snorts and oinking. A small pig came waltzing into the room, instantly coming up to the white and pink spider and running around his legs with an excited squeal, before running over to Husk, pawing at the cat's leg. The Chimera glanced down at the pig, then nudged it away.

"Is... that a pig?"

The spider went over and picked up the piglet, tickling his tummy.

"Yep! This is my baby Fat Nuggets! Didja come ta join us fer the festivities, Nuggies? Huh? Didja? Didja? I'm sure if ya extra good, your aunt and uncle will bring you some goodies when they arrive! And Husky may or may not have a big jar of cherries for ya in yer stocking!"

Millie's family looked at each other. Bewildered that a pig was being kept as a pet. Angel Dust paid not mind, still cooing at his beloved pet.

"Ah! There's our Christmas ham!" Alastor appeared in shadows loomed over Angel.

But Angel was quick to pull his machine gun towards the Wendigo. "Back off, Smiles! I warned ya about making jokes about cooking my Nugs!"

"What? It's all in good jest!" Alastor remarked, waving his cleaver around absentmindedly.

Angel Dust just narrowed his eyes.

"How's the cooking going, Al?" Mimzy asked.

"Excellent, my dear! The main dishes are cooking at the moment, the appetizers have been placed on the table, the desserts are cooling in the fridge for later use. If you all wish, we can relocated at the dinning hall and I'll have Moxxie and my shadows bring out the main course."

"Fuckin' finally! I'm starving here!" Blitzo yelled. "Onwards Mistletoe! Towards the grub!"

The horse neighed before heading towards the food with Alastor chasing, shouting, "No horses at the table!"

"I guess it's time to eat," Butch shrugged his shoulders and the rest of the group followed Blitzo lead.

Taking the cue, everyone headed towards the kitchen.

"No! No! You can't make me close my store! I got customers! I got coffee! I got lonely weirdos who want to curl up by the fire and drown their woes in hot coffee! You can't do this to me!"

George paid no mind to his sister's frantic claims as he dragged her by her feet to the hotel. Even in the snow, her claws were digging into the sidewalk as he pulled her along. Every holiday, every chance of her taking a vacation, she basically drowned herself in work to avoid socializing. Well not today! This was Christmas and he was going to make sure that she had a day to rest and relax.

"You are taking Christmas off! One day is not going to kill you!"

"You don't know that!"

He snorted.

"Yes I do. And I got you a Christmas present that I know you'll like! And you are going to receive it, and you are going to like it! And you better give me a damn hug for all the shit I went through to get it for you!"

"Lies! You're just using me to get into Moxxie's pants!" Micole hissed.

"How dare you! I'm doing this out of the kindness of my heart!" George barked. "And quick scratching the sidewalk, we're getting looks. Plus you'll ruin your nails."

Micole, of course, didn't listen and continue to grip onto the sidewalk in futility. Hopefully no one complains to them about the lines in the concrete. Oh who was he kidding? This is Hell. No one cares. George was incredibly grateful when the Hazbin Hotel came into view.

"Look Micole, Moxxie and his family and in-laws are gonna be there so can you please not embarrass me with your constant need for caffeine?" The male Lust imp asked. "If you promise, I'll give you your gift early."

"Is my gift letting me go so I can open my coffee shop?!"

"Will you forget about your coffee shop for today?!"

He took a breath to calm himself. 'Focus on the end goal, George. Get your nutjob of a sister in the hotel, wine and dine with Moxxie and the others, and rub the amazing gift you got her so she'll shut up.' He thought. He placed his hands together, making sure to keep his tail wrapped around her legs to ensure that she didn't run off back to her shop.

"Look. How about a deal? If you don't love my Christmas gift, then you can open your store."

This caught her attention and she finally looked at him. He continued.

"But if you do, and I fucking know you will, you keep the store closed until tomorrow afternoon. Deal?"

She seemed to think for a moment then reluctantly nodded. Pleased to see that she coroperated, he smirked.

"Great! But I'm not releasing you until we get inside the building."

"Urg, fine! But you better make me a giant ass mug of coffee for this!"

He rolled his eyes, but agreed. He knew that it was all going to be worth it when she opened her gift. Not only that, but everyone else's that he bought for. Especially Moxxie's and his wife. But right now, his focus was on his sister. And he couldn't wait to rub it in her face when he saw what he got her.

Charlie watched in eagerness as a line of shadows all came out and severed multiple dishes of mouthwatering meals. The Father-Son duo truly outdid themselves with this spread. Had her parents not drilled proper manners into her, she might have just dove head first into grabbing a morsel of each and ever dish.

Like Blitzo and Millie's siblings were attempting to do.

"Come on, Moxx! I'm starving," Blitzo tried reaching over for some ham but got his hand smacked away.

"Control yourself, sir! Wait for the rest of the dishes to come out along with the serving utensils. Don't just pick at it with your fingers."

Blitzo huffed down into his seat. Thankfully, the last of the shadows, the ones carrying the desserts came out along with the serving tools so, once place, everyone was given permission to dig in.

No surprise that Millie's family partook in most of the homestyle dishes like pork, ham, mashed potatoes, while Moxxie's side were more geared towards 'fancier' dishes like Christmas salad, prosciutto-wrapped pork loin, and turkey roulade. While Blitzo and Loona…well they just grabbed whatever was near and looked good. Same with the rest of the hotel staff.

Before Charlie could dig in, the front door rang. She volunteered to answer it.

"Merry Christmas and welcome to the Happy Hotel…oh! Hi George and…Micole?"

"Feed me coffee!" The tied up female imp demanded.

"Uh…well we're eating right now, why don't you join us? Alastor actually whipped up some holiday themed drinks."

"Any coffee?"

"Uh…I think they had Irish coffee, peppermint latte, gingerbread latte and coffee liquor?"

"Those will do."

George released his sister, who took off running towards the kitchen. He rolled her eyes but followed her. The Princess chatting him up as she led him over to the dining area where everyone was seated. Charlie smiled at everyone when the two entered.

"Look who arrived back in time for dinner! George!"

"My sister, Micole, is in the kitchen drowning herself in coffee." He turned to folks that didn't know his spastic sister. "Don't be too concern by the shaking. That's normal for her. Oh, and she's a coffee addict. And a workaholic. It's a fucking miracle that I managed to drag her here."

Speaking of said person, the coffee-crazed imp ran into the room, instantly hugging Moxxie, one hand cradling the giant cup in one arm as the free one was around the male imp.

"Moxxie! My favorite brother!"

"He's not related to us!" George snapped at her.

She stuck her tongue at him, pressing her cheek's against her fellow imp.

"He's related by coffee. And he's a helluva better brother than you, asshole. Also, I found him first." She turned her attention to Moxxie. "Did you and Millie open the gifts I sent you?"

"They're under the tree right now. But we look forward to what you got us! And we got you some gifts as well."

"Great!" She slipped into an empty chair, downing half the large mug in one go. "Let's eat!"

With that, everyone started eating. Now all they had left was to go open their gifts! Not only that, there was a Christmas party going on later! Which meant that more guests would be arriving! Everyone was excited to see what gifts they received, and curious on more friends and family that was coming over! It looked like Christmas was starting out in a great way!

Merry Christmas everyone! We would've gotten this out last night, but I had pulled a double shift and I was dead tired.

But now we got Millie's brother and her sister-in-law had arrived. And... *gasps* What's this? They have a baby! Can you guest the Easter Egg in his name?

Not only that but George actually got Micole to close her cafe down for a day! It's a Christmas miracle!

But wait. What are the gifts? Well readers, that's what we'll see in the next chapter! Along with many other faces! So Merry Christmas, and we'll see you in the next chapter!
