A/N: So yea, sorry for the wait, but when I was writing chapter 3, I was halfway done. I noticed that the version of chapter 2 I realized at the end of Aug was an old version, and I tried to write chapter 3 to fit the ending 2. Still, I didn't like it felt like no matter what I did, it just wasn't good and felt forced, so what happened to the final version of chapter 2? This is not it that was lost when word crashed.
The next day
Ren's POV
As I arrive at the bullhead, I see all of the other students waiting to get on. As we all get on, I decide to pop in my earbuds, listen to music, keep my distance, and not gather unnecessary attention. I see Ruby from last night talking to someone that appears older than her.
I am taken out of my thoughts by Morgana, who poked his head out of the bag.
Morgana: Hey Ren, you all right? You look distracted.
Ren: Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just having a look around. This airship is massive.
After walking around, I see some blonde person running to vomit in a nearby bin.
Morgana: Hey Ren, don't you have any medicine from Takemi to help with motion sickness?
Ren: One second, let me check.
I still had the medicine items that I bought while infiltrating Shido's palace. However, I did manage to find some, and I gave it to the boy.
Ren: Hey man, you might need this.
He takes medicine, and, as expected, it kicks in almost immediately.
Blonde boy: Wow, that was quick. I didn't think that would work, Thanks uh...?
Ren: Name's Amamiya, Ren Amamiya, and this is Morgana. Nice to meet you.
Morgana pokes his head out of the bag.
Jaune: Nice to meet both of you. Name's Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, and it rolls off the tongue; the ladies love it.
Ren: Do they really, though?
Jaune: They will, I hope so.
Morgana: He already reminds me of Ryuji.
I nod back.
Jaune: Anyways, thanks for the help, man.
He pats me on my shoulder and walks away. I put my earbuds back in and waited for arrival while doing some research about Remnant.
Sometime later
As we walk around the school, I hear a big boom close to the entrance.
Morgana: Ren, you heard that, right? Let's check it out.
as Me and Mona walk to the front of the school, I see Ruby on the ground and some White-haired Girl yelling at her
White-hair Girl: Unbelievable! This is precisely the kind of thing I was talking about!
Ruby: I'm really, really sorry.
White-hair Girl: Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending beacon?
Ruby: Well, I-I.
At this point, I walk up to defend my friend.
Ren: Hey Frosty, she said sorry.
White-hair Girl: And who are you supposed to be?
Ren: I'm Her friend. Who are you supposed to be, princess?
?: It's heiress, actually.
We all turn around to see a girl with a black bow reading book while holding a container of what guest is fire dust.
Black bow girl: "Her name is Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world."
Weiss: "Finally! Some recognition!"
Ren: isn't that the same company that doesn't care about their employees and has shady partners?
Even known during the company's early days, it had a good rep until Weiss's father took over. Similar to Okumura Foods. Hopefully, someone in SDC like Mr. Takakura will bring the company back into the light.
Black bow Girl: That's correct.
Weiss then proceed to get angrier and walk away.
Ren: Hey, just before you leave, my Name is Ren Amamiya, and this is Morgana, and The Girl on the ground is Ruby.
Black bow Girl: My Name is Blake Belladonna. Well, I'll see you two around.
Morgana: Hey Ren, I think her bow just twitched.
Ren: What do you mean her bow twitched?
I whispered to Mona
Blake's POV
Morgana: Hey Ren, I think bow just twitched.
I was taken back that Ren's cat noticed my ears, but thankfully Oum, only cat Faunus can understand cats.
Ren: What do you mean her bow twitched?
And I was very taken back from this. How can a human understand an animal unless he was also a cat Faunus too?
Ren's POV
Ruby: Oh yea, thanks. You're Ren, right? We were together with Ozpin last night.
Ren: You know what happened?
Ruby: Well, uh, that may have been me.
Ren: You're not hurt, right?
Ruby: Oh no, I'm completely fine.
I then hear footsteps behind us. I turn and see it's Jaune running towards us.
Jaune: Hey, you two all right?
Ren: Yea, we're good. Nothing happened until she caused an explosion.
Ruby: It was an accident!
Jaune: Sure it was, Crater Face.
Completely unamused by his joke, we start walking together. Ruby began to ask Jaune and me about our weapons. She had a machinal scythe with a 50. Cal sniper built into it with and Jaune showed us his, a simple sword and shield. He seems embarrassed because they seem generic.
Jaune: So what about you, Ren? What's your crazy weapon?
Ren: you know, a Knife and Pistol. I also have a grappling hook and some other tricks I have up my sleeves.
Jaune: And what are the tricks?
Ruby: Is it some amazing and cool-looking weapon?
Ren: I wouldn't be a good trick if I told you.
Ruby: That's not fair. You can just say you have a secret weapon and not tell us.
she said with a pouty face
Jaune: Also, thanks for helping me at the bullhead.
Ren: Don't worry about it. If you ever need help, feel free to ask me.
Jaune: Thanks, man I'll make sure to do that.
Just then, I hear Lavenza's voice.
I am thou... Thou art I...

Ruby: Wait, where are we going?
Ren: I was just following you two; I'm pretty sure we were supposed to be at the auditorium. So, in other words, we were utterly lost. One second, let me check the map.
Ren: All right, I found it. Follow me.
And so they did, and we shortly reached the auditorium.
Evening
After Professor Ozpin's speech, it was clear that we were staying in the ballroom, so I changed into my sleepwear. I see some of the other boys who are shirtless except for Jaune, who is wearing pajamas. Then, I feel someone staring at me. I looked around, and it was the girl. Ruby was the blonde girl from before. Before I could go over there and introduce myself, Morgana walked in front of me, and I knew what he was about to say.
Ren: Yeah, yeah, I know the drill night Morgana.
The next day
I woke up a bit before the Initiation started. I get myself ready by wearing my winter outfit. And with the extra time, I woke up Mona.
Ren: Hey buddy, It's time to get up. Initiation is going to start soon. Let's look for my locker.
As we got into the locker room, I saw Jaune trying to flirt with
Redhead: Nice to meet you, Ren. My name is Pyrrha Nikos.
She takes my hand and shakes it.
Looking around for my locker, I find mine right beside Pyrrha's. I opened it and put my bag in it. As Morgana hops on my shoulder, I hear people whisper why a cat is on my shoulder. Ignoring them, I grab my weapons. Just then, I listened to a voice on the speaker saying that we needed to start heading to the cliff of Initiation.
Ren: Knife check, pistol check, ammo check, and where is the suppressor?
I said as I looked for a suppressor for my TT.
Ruby: Hey, Ren, are you looking for something? Just as she asked me, I found my suppressor.
Ren: The suppressor for my pistol.
?: Ruby, we have to go now, or we're going to be late, hey there, handsome.
Ruby: Yang, stop being wired; anyways, have you two met?
Yang: I don't think we have.
Ren: I'm Ren Amamiya, and this is Morgana. Nice to meet you? I said with my hand out.
Yang: Im Yang Xiao Long, Ruby half-sister. She said while crushing my hand.
Ruby: We should really be going to the cliff, or we will be late!
As we arrive at the cliff, I see we are somehow the first ones to arrive. Professor Ozpin comes and greets me.
Ozpin: Mr. Amamiya, it's good to see you here. How was your first day?
Ren: So far, not so different from school's back home, but I think that will change right now. Anyways, why are we gathering at a cliff?
Ozpin: Well Mr, Amamiya, the way this Initiation will go is that everyone will be launched off this cliff into the Emerald Forest, where you will need to head northeast to find a temple and grab a relic. The first person you make contact with will be your partner for your entire stay.
Ren: I see.
Ozpin: Now, unfortunately, Morgana, was it? You will have to sit this one out.
The other students start to gather. Morgana jumps off my shoulder and walks next to Ozpin. As we all step on the pads, Ozpin explains to everyone what the Initiation was.
Morgana: Hey Ren!
Everyone turns towards Morgana since he must be meowing loudly to everyone.
Morgana: Show these amateurs how a true Phantom thief fights.
As I got launched in the air, I tried to use the same landing technique during my escape in Sae's palace but ended up using trees to break the landing.
As I land, I use my Third Eye to locate someone. I eventually find Jaune and Pyrrha. I walk up behind them and start walking with them. I catch Jaune as he falls after getting hit by a branch.
Jaune: Ah, Ren! Where did you come from? He asked me in surprise.
Ren: I have been with you guys for a few minutes now.
Pyrrha: How come we didn't hear you?
Ren: I specialize in stealth, so it's hard for people to hear my footsteps when I'm walking. Anyways let's get going.
Pyrrha: That's impressive.
Jaune: Yea, Ren, I didn't hear you at all.
Jaune then looked at my shoulder.
Jaune: Ren, dude, there's blood coming from your left arm.
I look at my shoulder, and he's right.
Ren: Must have reopened the bullet wound from two nights ago.
Pyrrha: What happened?
She sounds concerned.
I explain how I met Ruby and Professor Ozpin and got my injury. I said as I rebandaged it.
Ren: Jaune, you want me to patch you?
Jaune: You know first aid?
Ren: Yeah, I was my dad's cutman, so I know how to patch people up.
Pyrrha: Why didn't any of you activate your Aura?
Ren: I don't have one.
Pyrrha: Ren, everyone has an Aura. You just haven't activated yours yet.
She explains to us what Aura was. It seems similar to a Persona, probably this world's variant. She then grabs both of Jaune's hands, they both start to glow, and the scratch on his face is healed. She must have activated his "Aura." She tried to do the same with me, but we didn't glow, and everything started to slow down. I looked around, and I saw blue flams in the shape of Arense, and I saw myself re-awakening, then everything when back to normal.
Pyrrha: Weird, I can't activate your Aura. You best stay behind us.
Jaune: Wait, so Ren doesn't have a soul?
Pyrrha: No, I don't think I can activate your I'm sorry, Ren.
Ren: Don't worry, Pyrrha. I mean, I survived this long without Aura.
Eventually, we found a cave, which we thought was the temple, but a giant scorpion chased us. The scorpion tossed Jaune, and we meet up with Ruby, Yang, and the white-haired girl from yesterday and three other people I don't know and a big black bird trying to kill us. All I knew was that we had a big fight on our hands.
Ozpin's POV
While watching the students fighting the Death Stalker and the Nevermore, I noticed that Mr. Amamiya was mainly on the defense. Morgana said it was because Mr. Amamiya needed to re-awaken his powers. Ms. Rose, Schnee, Belladonna, Xiao Long, Nikos, Valkyrie, Mr. Arc, and Mr. Amamiya both works to take down Grimm's. At the same time, Mr. Amamiya assists from a distance, mainly because Ms. Nikos told him to hang back.
Ren's POV
We were fighting the two giant shadow creatures, Jaune, Pyrrha, and two other kids were fighting the big scorpion. Ruby, Weiss, Yang, and Blake fought the big bird. Pyrrha told me to hang back because I "don't have any arua." I was with Ruby and Weiss on a pillar
Ruby: Think you can make the shot?
Weiss: Hmm! Can I!
She said with confidence.
A second passed
Ren: Oh my God, Ruby, can I borrow your weapon in sniper mode, please?
Ruby then passed my her scythe in sniper mode.
Weiss: You really think you can hit that Nevermore?
I aim at the nevermore, and suddenly everything became yellow and slowed. I aimed at nevermore eye, and a small X Cross appeared, and I pulled the trigger. The nevermore started to drop into the ravine. And Yang and Blake jumped at us.
Yang: What happened? Why did the Nevermore just die?
Weiss looked shocked, and Ruby had stars in her eyes.
Ruby: WOWTHATWASSOCOOLRENHOWDIDYOUDOTHAT? (Wow, that was so cool, Ren. How did you do that?)
Ren: I don't know. I mean, I was always a good shot, but everything just went yellow and slowed down.
Blake: Maybe you unlocked your Semblance?
Jaune and his team finished offed the scorpion, and we all met up on land.
Ruby: Oh, what are you going to call it, Ren?
Jaune: Call what?
Ruby: Ren's awesome Semblance he managed to kill that nevermore with one shot!
Pyrrha: But Ren, you haven't unlocked his Aura yet.
Blake: I heard stories about people who unlocked their Semblance before they unlocked their Aura.
Ren: we don't get time for questions because we got a fight on ower hands look.
I pointed at smaller at it looked like a small army of shadow-like creatures walking at towards us.
Jaune: You've got to be serious. How are we going to take down all of those Grimm?
Pyrrha: I don't know Jaune, but we have to fight there, nowhere to run.
Then I hear a voice similar to mine but not mine. My head is in pain.
Quite the predicament you are in, my other-self. Shall we make another contract? Are you still willing to fight for your freedom yet again? Has your resolve changed?
I grab my head move around in pain.
Ren: You know my answer; it never changed!
Pyrrha: Ren, who are you talking too
Ren: You guys hang back. I got this
I said as I slowly started to walk towards the Grimm.
Then rip off your Mask, reveal your rebellious will to this world, and protect it like it was your own!
Just then, I could feel it on my face, my Mask.
Weiss: Wait, don't go, you dolt, you're going to kill your-!
Ren: Ruby Remember when you asked me what my trick was? I said as I looked back at them.
Ruby: Yea, but where did you get that Mask from? And why are your eyes yellow? Is this the trick?
Ren: It's more than a Mask.
I violently rip off my Mask as I face the Grimm, and the blue flames engulf me.
Ruby's Pov
We were getting surrounded by Grimm, and I didn't know what to do. Then Ren started to walk up, saying that he got this, and Weiss tried to stop him. Still, he looked back at us with this cool-looking Mask that just appeared on his face, and his eyes when from sliver to yellow and asked me if I remembered when I asked what his trick was.
Ruby: Yea, but where did you get that Mask from? And why are your eyes yellow? Is this the trick?
Ren: It's more than a Mask.
What does that mean its more than a Mask? he then ripped the Mask off, and I think blood sprayed out of his face like he ripped his skin off. he then was coved in this blue fire, and we started to hear a voice.
?: I am thou, thou art I! Thy fate has been stolen once again. It's time for thou to steal back their future and walk the path of freedom!
Jaune: You guys heard that too, right? What the hell is going on? Why is Ren on fire?
Blake: Could this be his Semblance?
Ruby: I don't know, but I saw him rip off, I think, a mask, and I saw blood come out like it was his skin.
Nora: Why are his eyes yellow?
L Ren: Nora, that's what you focus on?
Weiss: Is this a glyph of some sort?
We all just watch in awe as the flames surrounding Ren start to take the form of something. It looks like a human figure with black wings and a red suit with a long black tophat, and Ren's outfit changed into a black tailcoat with black pants and boots with red gloves.
?: I am Arsène. The rebellious soul resides within you. Now this power of mine is yours to wield. Now use it to protect this world and steal back your freedom!
He started to attack, slashing the Grimm with such fast speed but not faster than my Semblance but still fast. We all just stood there and watched as one man took down an entire army.
A/N: So yeah, I'm not good a writing fight scenes so just imagine how Ren fights in smash and P5s
Ren's Pov
I start my offense against the Grimm, slashing with my knife like I was back in the Shibuya Jail. Then, ripping off my Mask, summoning Arsène.
Ren: Arsène, Dream Needle!
As needles rained down on the Grimm, killing some, putting some to sleep, and pulling out my pistol. I run towards one and flip over it, shooting everything from the air. It seems like for every Grimm I kill, two more take their place after using up all of SP. The ones that were left were down, and it was time for an all-out attack.
Ren: You're mine!
I start to make an all-out attack. Every Grimm turned into a black silhouette. Using my speed, I cut through everything in every direction with one last slice through everything. When I landed, I struck my signature pose as everything went back to normal. I fell on my knee from exhaustion from the rebound, and from using up all of my SP, I felt I would pass out. Everyone ran up to me; Ruby had stars in her eyes, Yang seemed impressed.
Jaune looks amazed, Pyrrha seems concerned about my health, and the rest is just silent.
Pyrrha: Ren, are you alright?
Ren: Yea, just exhausted.
Ruby says something that I could not understand due to how fast she said it, but I think she likes my moves.
Yang: That was impressive, Ren. I would love to spar you eventually.
I think I'll accept that later since it seems to be good training.
Just then, I hear Lavenza's voice.

Time skip to team assembling
As teams were being announced, Jaune and Ruby were placed as team leaders of JNPR and RWBY respectfully, and lastly, I was called up.
Ozpin: Now lastly will Ren Amamiya.
I managed to get up to the stage without passing out.
Ozpin: Now, Mr. Amamiya, you have you did not find a partner or acquired a relic under normal circumstances, you will be expelled, but you have proven you have all of the requirements to be a Huntsman, as you can all see.
The video of me re-awakening played and screened with me fighting hordes of Grimm.
Ozpin: And it would be a shame to kick out someone with your unique skillset, so you will be placed on team RWBY.
I looked over at my new teammates Ruby and Yang seemed happy while Weiss seemed upset and Blake was reading her book.
Ruby's Pov
During the teams being picked, I was placed as the leader of RWBY. I was worried about Ren. He didn't seem to find or partner or grab a relic, but he did save all of us from that Grimm army with that cool Semblance of his.
Ozpin: Now lastly will Ren Amamiya.
Ren walked up to look like he was about to pass out. I guess he really used up all of his energy, and Aura had some slight scratch marks on his face and arm, and he did get shot saving me when we first met.
Ozpin: Now, Mr. Amamiya, you have you did not find a partner or acquired a relic under normal circumstances, you will be expelled, but you have proven you have all of the requirements to be a Huntsman, as you can all see.
The video of him started to play where he ripped off that Mask, and the blue fire engulfed, and Arsene formed an and him fight all of that Grimm.

I was excited that I had another friend on my team. Yang looked happy she did was to spar with him. Weiss was blabbing about how he shouldn't be in beacon he technically failed, and Blake mentioned that he saved us from the Grimm.
After the assembly, we all met up outside our dorm.
Weiss: Look, Ren, first we were going to set some ground rules-.
Ren: Look, Weiss, I don't mean to interrupt you, but I'm going to pass out now.
Blake: What do you-?
but before Blake could finish, Ren collapsed, and his cat Morgana tried to wake him up
Morgana: Meow
Yang: Umm, what should we do?
