Chapter 20

Two years ago

"So what'cha doing?"

Both Con and Wo looked up to where Ro was walking into the office both of them frowning, for the same exact reason.

"What have I told you bout visiting us here?" Wo asked shooting her a dark glare. He couldn't help it, she had been warned about coming to the office he had in this warehouse off the Port of Los Angeles. In order to get to him she had to go through the whole warehouse… and his men.

His men were unsavoury characters with no morals. They had all seemed too interest in Ro the first time she showed up to bring him and Con lunch. They kept asking how he had landed a girl like that.

When he told them he didn't land her, she was his sister, they're excitement changed into something more sinister. Mainly because they assumed she was all up for grabs.

And she was very much not.

His little sister deserved a better man, not one of these cads without good work. Legal work. Work that wouldn't get them arrested. She deserved better. He would eventually find her someone better.

An Oyabun or a Snakehead he could trust or better yet, could control.

But he wouldn't be looking for a suitable match for his sister until she showed an interest in wanting one.

After he set his men straight, he told her not to bring meals by his warehouse anymore, to keep her safe. Instead, she had gotten upset, accused him of wanting to spend time with just Con and not her. It took four days to calm her down and two pairs of red bottomed Louis Vuitton heels for her to see reason.

So, he was pretty pissed off to see her there in his office when she had promised she wouldn't come by here anymore.

"I was being followed again," Ro said as she took a seat across from them and both Wo Fat and Con looked up to her.

"Cops, or one of Russo's men?"

Damien Russo was a Mafioso who ran this area. He and Wo Fat originally had n deal, but Russo seemed to have been renegading on it as of late. Wo Fat was letting it happen right now, letting the man dig his grave, so Wo could burry him. Having men follow Ro around was digging that grave of his a lot quicker.

"Russo's," she said. "Figured I'd be safer here."

Smart girl. She definitely would be safer there with him and Con. She then leant forward and looked over all the papers he had on the desk.

"Seriously what is this?"

"I'm planning a heist."

Ro rounded the desk as she looked at the papers. Then she turned a calm and patient smile up to him.

"Since when do we do those?"

Wo sighed. She was right, this wasn't his usual stick but he was getting bored and there was a great bounty for the item. He figured it'd be enough to settle them for the summer. Take Ro and Con somewhere nice for a few months and not have to leave her for work.

"Since the Star of Adam came to the Natural History Museum."

"Oh is that that massive sapphire?" Ro asked her eyes starting to glitter. Wo nodded.

"The owner is letting the National History Museum display it. And I'm going to steal it."

Ro moved away again, this time to shoulder her way in between him and Con and looked over the plans. "Seems awful gaudy. Lots of bells and whistles and more chances to get caught…"

Wo looked down to his plans and then back to her. This had taken him weeks of planning. He had gotten it right down to the millisecond. There was literally nothing wrong with this plan.

"Excuse me…"

"Well… I mean… you've got this planned like you're running The Italian Job 2. Wouldn't it be easier to do something more… simple?"

Wo glanced to Con who was on the other side of her and grinning widely loving this. Mainly because it was only Ro who called him out on things or questioned him. Well she was the only one who did it without getting killed.

"No."

"Well, this isn't how I'd do it."

"Okay and this works for me," Wo snapped.

That should have been the end of it except Con said: "Hold up, we're not going to talk about what she'd do?"

"What does that matter? We're doing this."

"Cause I want to know!" He then turned to Ro. "So… tell us this plan."

"Well… I mean… I don't have one," she said quickly. "But if it were me, I'd wait for that fancy gala, set of an alarm and pinch it when everyone was busy."

Wo glared at her. "Okay, and how do you get out of there then?"

"Easy, fake a sprain, they take you to the ambulance and don't check you," she said with a shrug.

Wo shook his head. "There is no way that would work."

"It totally would, cause men are stupid," Ro said.

Wo was scowling at this point but Con was still beaming, absolutely loving this.

"Okay. Well, I'm going to do my plan, you do yours and I'll bail you out of jail, okay?"

Ro just smiled up at him like she always did. He wasn't being serious of course and he would later make sure that she was aware of that, it was just that, at that point, it didn't matter.

H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O

Everything went to plan. The gala was going on a floor below them, it was just in the beginning stages. Very soon they'd be unveiling the gem, at that moment the room was desolate as they were keeping everyone out until it was time.

Wo and Con had gone in, in janitorial gear, to make themselves look conspicuous, to help them blend in. It also helped that they had a tool belts, because they could then hide the necessary tools amongst the janitorial ones.

They were at the final stage. All he had to do get the giant gem stone out of the case and get out via their escape route out the servant's entrance and they'd be home free.

They'd be unveiling the gem and it would be gone.

Con cut the power to the gem station, Wo put his hands onto case and the alarm started blaring.

Wo stumbled back and so did Con.

"Is there a secondary alarm?"

"There shouldn't be," Wo said. They could hear people responding though. Which meant they couldn't stay there. "Come on, fall back…"

"But the Star…" Con started, moving to gear up to smash it. Wo shook his head doubling back to grab the man before he did anything stupid.

"We'll never get out with it. Come on."

Though he didn't want to Wo pulled Con out of the area and back into the staff stairwell.

Well, he could kiss that payday and his summer holiday with Ro good-bye.

H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O

Michael liked his job at the National history museum. He liked working the night shifts because he got to spend a whole night in the museum learning new things and seeing the new exhibits first.

He like the janitorial staff, he liked the other night guards, it was honestly his ideal job.

He also liked gala nights, because catering usually left the leftovers for the staff to eat. Tonight's gala would be no different. So not only was he going to see fancy and famous people all dressed up, but he'd get to eat whatever these big-wigs didn't.

The gala was in celebration of the Star of Adam, this massive sapphire. It was roughly the size of his palm and shaped like an oval egg of sorts. It didn't look like a sapphire to him, it wasn't as blue as he thought it would be, but it was still beautiful.

Everything was running smoothly until all of a sudden the alarms started going off. Exhibits all over the museum were alerting tampering, the fire alarms were going crazy too. It was insane.

They had people evacuating until they knew what was going on, which left the security guards to do their work in peace.

The guards were all sent in separate directions. Check all these certain wings to make sure everything was okay while someone tried to turn off the fire alarms. Michael was sent to check on the Star of Adam and everything in that wing.

And that's where he found the girl.

She was in a service stairwell, just collapsed at the bottom of a flight of stairs, holding her ankle and crying.

He spotted the half-opened door first, and as he neared it to clear the area and close the door, he heard the crying. She was lucky he had noticed it at all.

"What the…" he had started and then she turned her eyes up to him.

Now that was a real sapphire blue if he had ever seen it. He had never seen eyes that blue before.

The girl had blonde hair all curled and pinned up like one of those Hollywood actresses. Her make up was smoky, her little black cocktail dress was made entirely of sequins. She was in a pair of all black with gold edging red bottomed heels.

And she was crying.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" she cried. "I… I know I wasn't supposed to go this way but I panicked and… I… I fell… and now my ankle…"

Aw she had gotten hurt.

"It's okay," he said stooping down to help her out. "Let's get you back into the main gallery and then we'll check your ankle."

The girl was light as a feather. Once her arms were around his neck, and his arm was around her waist it was easy to basically half hoist her up the stairs.

When he got her into the main gallery, the girl was still crying, the limp was obvious, so it was clear that she was badly hurt.

But he still had rounds to make. He tried to leave her on the bench but she just kept panicking. So he brought her with him to check on the Star of Adam.

"I can't… I can't walk any more," she half sobbed so he found her a seat, put her in it and told her to stay there until he was done.

He checked on the Star of Adam, it was still safe and there, so he went to check the other exhibits on his route. At first he tried to take the girl with him, but she couldn't walk. She didn't want him to leave either, but after some cajoling she finally let him leave.

Once he was out in the hallway to check on the other exhibits, he used his walkie to inform HQ about the injured girl and to call an ambulance out to them for her. They gave him the a-okay, he told them all was clear and then he went back to the girl.

He found her clinging to the doorway to the Star of Adam exhibit, crying though she broke out in a large grin when she saw him.

"What are you doing out here?" he asked, moving to support her seeing as she could barely walk.

"You were gone so long… I thought you weren't coming back," she said.

Well that was just silly. How bad a guard did he have to be to forget an injured and pretty woman he left in the prime exhibit?

"Come on, they called an ambulance for you," he said letting her lean against him so he could help her down the hallway. "Once we get you in it you'll be home free."

"Thank you so much," she whispered as they walked. "You must think I'm so silly."

Maybe a little but pretty girls like her were allowed to be silly. So he just smiled at her, helped her into the elevator and by the time they got to the ground floor the ambulance was there and the two EMTs were inside with the gurney to take her from there.

"Thank you for being my night in shining armour," she called as they wheeled her away and Michael couldn't help but grin.

He waved her off, noting that she was clinging very tightly to the little sequined black clutch on her lap. He hadn't noticed the purse before. But he figured it didn't matter. Of course the girl would have some kind of purse, no girl went around without a purse.

He was walking on air for a whole ten minutes after the pretty girl left. You know before they told him the Star of Adam was no longer in its case.

Instead was a note that said: I.O.U. 1 giant ass sapphire. With a lipstick print on the paper in a familiar shade of blush pink.

He was certain he knew where he had seen that shade of pink before.

Michael was dumb founded. He had personally seen the gem in its case. They asked if he saw anyone else on the floor but there wasn't anyone.

Other then the injured girl.

Who he had left in the Star of Adam room. Alone.

Management was pissed. They called the cops, cops went to the hospital to find the woman, and she was gone. EMTs brought her in, put her in a room for the doctor to come look at her, and she up and vanished.

Ankle miraculously healed.

IT was clear from her runner that she was the thief, and not only had she disappeared but she had taken the Star of Adam with her.

And Michael, well… Michael got fired.

H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O

Wo Fat and Con arrived at the Cabrillo Marina and immediately got onto the Aurelia.

The Aurelia was a yacht he had purchased after Daiyu's attempt to get at Ro in Colombia. He figured the boat would be the safest place for her. It didn't have a fixed address, it was harder to track and he quite like the idea of always being mobile.

It was a little hard to manage at first, Ro needed sea sickness medications, so she was sick their first voyage. It was so bad that he had to turn around and head back to port to get her something to deal with it.

He also became aware that Con was terrified of the ocean and the yacht. Since Ro was clumsy both she and Con spent the first month at sea with lifejackets on at all times, but they had since then gotten used to it.

Or well, Con had gotten used to it and they both decided to trust Ro to not fall off the boat. She had only done so twice so far.

Upon arriving back to the yacht that night the plan was to take them out to sea and into international waters to keep them safe and hidden, but when they got there Ro was not on the boat.

Cue the panic.

Ro had told them she didn't have plans, so where the hell had she gone? She should have been there, either asleep or watching movies in her room.

Either way she was not there.

Interrogating the staff told them that Ro had gotten all dressed up and left shortly after they did.

The question was where?

None of them knew.

The last time she went to a party without telling him he had to get her back from a trafficking ring. No one should get kidnapped as often as Ro did.

"She's not answering her phone," Con told him but Wo Fat wasn't really paying attention.

He was staring off into the distance, trying to think of what parties he knew about that she might go to but he wasn't on that scene, clearly. He was too old.

But for some reason he couldn't quite shake the feeling that Ro was near-by.

"What do you want to do?" Con asked and Wo turned to him.

"I don't think she's in trouble…" "—She's always in trouble." "… it would be wiser to stay here in case she comes back."

Con was clearly not down with that plan though. He was going to argue, but the sound of heels on the pier reached their ears and suddenly the two of them were in a mad scramble to see who it was.

They got to the gangplank to find Ro walking up and towards them and Wo Fat experienced a range of emotions he was not comfortable with in a span of a few seconds.

Relief, joy, and then sudden all-consuming anger.

"Where the hell have you been?" he thundered storming towards her. Angry or not he still offered her a hand to help her board their yacht.

Con was on the other side of him, ready to tell her off, same as him. He offered a hand as well, just in case she managed to fall while Wo Fat had her. That was not a hypothetical, it had happened before, and she took Wo Fat down the stairs with her while Con stood above them laughing.

"I went to a party," she said innocently.

"You didn't tell me you were going out tonight," he reminded her and she smiled prettily at him, which had him narrowing his eyes at her.

He had spent enough time to know that her smiles were never just smiles.

"I know, I didn't want you to worry while you were on your heist," she said. "How did it go."

Wo and Con exchanged glances. "It did not go well. We hit a snag and had to pull back. I'm going to have to re-evaluate and try again."

"Aww, pity," she said reaching up to brush imaginary lint from his shoulders. "Mine went pretty well."

She then moved around him heading towards the main galley.

"I'm sorry, did you say… yours went well?" Con asked following after her. Wo was following too because he had caught that as well. "Yours as in… as in a heist? You were on a heist?"

Ro turned back and nodded happily at him and then Wo Fat shouldered past Con to get into her face. "You just said you were at a party."

"I was," she said. "The heist included a party. Would either of you like a drink? I'm thinking of making myself a Rye and Ginger, I deserve it."

They followed her into their sitting room already heading for Wo's cabinet of expensive alcohols.

"Ro," Wo said sternly getting her to pause and turn back to him. "What the hell did you steal?"

"Oh just a little bitty thing," she said going into the small clutch she had and pulling something out. She showed them the massive rock in her hands with an acidic smile. "The Star of Adam."

Wo and Con's mouth dropped in shock as they stared at the milky blue shiny stone in her hand. It was literally the same size of her palm.

"Wha… ha… you… the… Star of…. HOW?!"

"Seconded!" Con cried and Ro just laughed.

"Boys I told you, the simpler the better," she said. "I simply did the Damsel in Distress plan I told you about. Guard left me alone with the rock, and you guys had been so kind as to already cut the alarm lines to the box, so it was easy to slip. That poor guard actually personally handed me and the stone into an ambulance to freedom."

She let Wo Fat take the stone from her and he looked at it, marvelling at the sheer weight of this sapphire before turning to her. "Did you set off the alarms?"

"I did," she said. "Admittedly I need your work to be done first. I then set of all the alarm in the building, to start the chaos."

Wo shook his head at her and she must have sensed that he was getting angry again because she winced. "I'm sorry… I know I shouldn't have but… I unno… I just wanted to prove that I was just as capable, that my plans were just as dastardly."

"Do you know how much this is worth?"

"In between 100 to 300 million dollars," she said

"The contract is for 500 mill, Ro," he said and it was Ro's jaw's turn to drop in shock.

"I think that Ro should choose what we spend it on," Con said. "You know since she did all the actual stealing."

Wo stared at his sister who was warming up to the ideal of 500 million being in their bank accounts soon. "We could definitely do that," he said. "I'm very impressed, Ro."

His sister's smile widened and his own smile widened with hers.

"From now on, you're going plan these things," he said. "You're gonna be my heist girl from now on."

And she was, and eventually almost all of his plans took on a Ro flair to them.

H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O

Now

He was being transferred to a super max facility on the mainland today.

It was a head of schedule but McGarrett had been determined to get him somewhere more secure lest he broke out.

Which was the plan.

Before this got moved up.

Steve had come to Halawa to personally escort him to the plane that would take him to the mainland. He had him in the orange jump suit and a black Kevlar vest, like he thought he was going to get shot on the way to transport.

He was waddling through the hallways and the courtyard to the truck because Steve wanted his feet bound like his hands. Stupid really, it made the whole walk twice as long and he looked ridiculous.

He waited for Steve to gloat, to say… well… anything. But Steve hadn't been able to find Ro and he hadn't been very talkative since she had left.

Steve saw him put into the truck with two guards in full tactical gear like they were going on a swat mission. The door wasn't shut five minutes before they started moving.

Great.

Just great.

Getting moved to the mainland was not ideal. It'd be harder to escape a super max facility. He actually contemplated asking his sister to pop a portal but he was still worried about the wrong people figuring out what it was she was capable of.

His sister could be weaponized and he knew she wouldn't like being used as a weapon of mass destruction.

He could get out on his own, it was just going to take a really long time.

Maybe he could trade more information with Steve. Though he had a feeling he'd either want Shelbourne's real identity or Ro's location. And Wo wasn't giving him either of those things. Especially not Ro.

They were on the road for about twenty minutes when there was a sudden shaking, like something had hit the truck and then suddenly the truck was in the air.

He could tell because they were swaying back and forth like a pendulum.

He could hear a helicopter's blades whirling above them, and the guards with him were panicking. Which was fair because what the fuck was going on?

And why did he have a feeling that his sister was in on this?

Then, because today couldn't get any worse, they were dropped.

Into the ocean.

The truck sunk to the bottom really quickly and then the water began to fill the space he was in. Son of a bitch he was going to die.

This was an assassination attempt. Who the fuck wanted to kill him? Well there was a list, but seriously which person was it this time? And who would take care of Ro?

I mean, Con was there of course, but he wasn't a good role model.

The water got up to his ankles when the door started to spark. Someone was trying to cut through. Was that to make sure that he drowned as quickly as possible? He figured not, because he was in mortal peril, and he knew his sister well enough to know that if he was actual in danger of dying, she'd have intervened by now.

But the water filled the truck, Wo Fat had to take one last gulp of air before the water went over his head, and he started to doubt his sister. He struggled to tug his hands free but he was locked into the truck.

She had told him once, when something like this had happened before, that she could feel it in the strings that bout him to her that he needed her. And she had come to save him.

The fact that she hadn't shown up meant that he wasn't about to die. Which was also stupid because the water was above his head and he was running out of air and they hadn't cut through the door yet.

He really was going to die here.

Whoever was on the other side of the door got it cut open revealing three divers on the other side. The first diver, who was double fisting two spear guns, shot first one guard and then the other. Once the guards were dead, a different diver pushed past the first with the spear gun fetish and put a mouth piece into Wo Fat's mouth. It was attached to an oxygen tank which meant right away Wo Fat could breathe.

They cut him free of the chains, got him out of the truck and then put a scubajet into his hands. Wo Fat held on tightly as let the one diver that came with him to guide the scubajet where they needed to go.

When he got to the surface a trawling boat, all red and white and rusted was waiting for him. He climbed up the side of it, where he found a bunch of men that he didn't recognize. One, no doubt the leader by the way he had dressed, offered him a hand to help him up. Once he was up there, he then handed him a towel.

Wo Fat must have been wearing a confused face because the man said: "Frank Delano. Nice to meet you."

Wo Fat simply nodded. He didn't know this man or why he'd care or help him, but he had a feeling he was going to find out soon.

"Well, hey there stranger."

Now that voice he did know.

Frank Delano moved aside and there she was. The person he had expected to be at the end of this little rescue attempt from hell. It had only been a month or so but Ro looked completely different.

For starters, her hair was at least six inches longer, it really did grow like weeds, and it was red and blonde again. She was looking very mature and grown up in a pant suit combo made up of a navy-blue curve hugging suit and a light purple blouse.

He didn't even care, he was just happy to see her. But he was always surrounded by men he didn't know or recognize so he was going to have to pretend that he wasn't. You know, in case this went south.

Wo looked at Ro who was smiling happily at him, watching as he attempted to towel himself off. He wanted to hug her, to hold her, but he didn't trust these people, so he planned to stay aloof.

"I told you to stay in Lucia."

"Yeah well… I wanted to come get you, so here we are."

Yes, there she was. The we meant that Con was here as well but Wo couldn't see him yet.

"And did you have to drop me in the ocean?"

Rowan reached up right away to fluff his damp hair. "Well… I figured you could do with a bath."

Aw she was going to joke. He saw what was going on.

He cocked an eyebrow at her. "You almost killed me Ro."

But his sister just smiled at him and waved off his concern. "Aww, we got you out in time."

There was something about the gesture, about the way that smile was tugging down. He knew that look, she needed comfort and to be honest he wanted the comfort too.

Despite his reservations, he tugged her to him and held her close as the rest of the divers made it to the surface and up onto the ship.

"What about me? I did all the hard work? No hug for me?" One of the divers asked.

Wo turned and found that the other two divers that had helped him were topside and undressing. Con must have been the one with the spear guns. Con hated the water, he hated being in the ocean or on boats. So, the fact that he had gone in the water for him was… well… touching.

"Come here," he said offering an arm out to him and pulling the man in for a hug too. Honestly, he had never been so happy to see either of these people in his life.

He didn't think he had ever been that happy to see anyone before actually.

Once he was done hugging them, he pushed them away from him, but kept Ro close by. Holding onto her shoulders and looking her over.

She was a little damp but she still looked good.

"My girl with red hair," he said. "What did you need new hair for?"

"I figured if I was going to do something bad, I'd put the red back in my hair," she said with a grin. "Can't be evil Rowan without the red and blonde hair, am'I'right?"

He smiled proudly down at her and then his eyes turned to the man across from them, and that smile faded right off of his face.

"And you hired help?"

"Yeah, I kind of needed the assistance… he wanted a favour from you," she said and then she turned back to Delano and looked him up and down in a cool appraising manner. "By the way, Wo, he has been, very, very rude to me. You know… in case you were wondering how it went. It was really hard working with him, this whole plan was my idea, but Con had to propose it cause he wouldn't listen to me."

"Well, that's because I don't take orders from no bitch. And your bitch wouldn't stop trying to give me orders."

"He uh… hit her… just so you know," Con added. "The first week we were uhm… collaborating. Knocked her sideways. He's lucky we needed him alive."

Con and Wo Fat shared a bit of a look before Wo Fat let out a hmm.

"She got mouthy. She needed to learn some respect… so I gave her a lesson."

Wo Fat smiled calmly at him. "Well… Delano… the thing is… no one touches my girl."

Then, without even needing prompting, Con opened fire on Delano, riddling him and all the others around him and who rushed to help him. All while Wo stood there, holding Ro to his chest.

Eventually Con stopped shooting. He put a gun in Wo Fat's hand and together they went around that boat and killed everyone they found. When they got back up to the surface, Ro was done vomiting as she was prone to doing around blood.

Wo Fat comforted her, told her they were good to go and Ro did what she did best. She popped them a portal to their safe house.

They were gone before the helicopter with Steve on it showed up.

All he found was bodies and evidence that Wo Fat had changed his clothes there.

H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O

You would have thought that the first thing Wo Fat did with his freedom was something dastardly.

But no.

They got to Lucia, they all changed their clothes and then the three of them went to bed.

It had been a long time since he got a good night's sleep in a decent bed.

So he slept, with his sister draped across his chest, and Con curled up on the other side of him. Normally he didn't like co-sleeping with the two adult siblings he had, unless Ro had another one of her injuries or nightmares but tonight was a special occasion.

He had missed them and having them physically close to him helped to soothe the worry that had plagued him while he was separated from them.

Both Ro and Con were out like lights, but Wo was wide awake. He kept running his hand up and down Ro's back. It seemed like an awfully affectionate thing to do with one's sister, but the motion was guaranteed to keep Ro asleep and her dreams nightmare free.

After a few hours of shadowed silence, Wo turned to where Con was snoring into his shoulder and then tapped his hip until he woke up.

It took two taps and then his honey brown eyes were open and pointed up to Wo. He said nothing, just glared at her with that accusatory stare of his.

"You were supposed to keep her here, in Lucia," Wo whispered to him.

He didn't have to clarify. Con knew what he meant. He knew that Ro should have never put that rescue together, she should have been here, safe and secure. Con should have never let her left and the man knew that.

"Well, I told you when you had me take her that I wouldn't be able to keep her here. Not when you were in prison because of her."

"I never said it was her fault," Wo snapped softly.

Ro moaned against him and the two fell silent for a moment. Wo put a hand to the back of her head, Con put a hand to her back and together they shushed her until she quieted down. Like she was a fussing baby.

How amazing that they basically became a pair of single dads the second Ro got close to them. It was like an instinct kicked in between the two of them. They definitely babied her a lot more than she should, but after what she went through… well… his little Ro deserved a little babying.

"She wouldn't stop crying, Wo," he said once Ro's breath evened out. "She woke up asking for you, every single day, every single nap. It was like she'd take her meds and just fucking forget. She'd forget everything that happened and think she was back in Osaka with you and… she'd ask for you and I'd have to tell her what happened and she'd cry and cry and cry…"

Okay, so maybe he got why Con had caved and let Rowan go along with her plan.

"Once she was off those meds that was it, she was bound and determined to get you back. And well… it was either I went with her or she popped a portal and took you herself, which we both know would have set off major red flags."

Okay so fine, Con had played this one right. Wo just tucked his chin down to her head, pressing a kiss to her hair. He really lucked out finding the sister that he had, he didn't know many people who'd do the kind of things that she did for him.

"I'll have to treat her in the morning," he whispered.

"You better," Ro whispered against him and he smiled into her hair. He didn't wonder how long she had been awake for. He just stroked her back hoping she'd fall asleep again.

Tomorrow, once he had treated his sister to an amazing day to thank her for his rescue, he'd start working on his next attempt to flush Shelburne out. But that could wait... mostly.
