The secret to this is either yoinking souls coursing through the stream towards either heaven, hell, or another universe for reincarnation and add them to their huge fodder army or the constant mental manipulation towards beings with poor mental defences or weak willpower and granting them psychotic energy properties that suits whatever they desired.
At the cost of this power, their own sanity and grasp of what's real or not.To ensure this flow of fodders and followers, Warped Fragments send out scouts and acolytes to new universes and they tap into its soulstreams and converting broken souls into one of them.
For the Warped Fragments, insanity is their own dominion till their existence has finally come to an end, just as their founder deems it before being locked up by O.T.A.S.C.A.
This is the task of a Warped Acolyte hunting down poor souls of a new universe in order to be one of the Fragments.
