Downtown Hawkins
"Oh, my G*d…" Hopper said, as he saw many of the townspeople with the ambulances around the street—it was like a hectic camp after a disaster. And it was.
The Chief stopped the Hawkins Lab van and got out with Joyce coming from the opposite. They went to open the side door allowing Loomis, Robin, and Steve to get out, except for Owens.
"You keep your leg up, and sit here," Joyce said, as Owens leaned against the seat with his injured leg lying down.
"Got it," Owens said. Not the first time he dealt with this. At least it wasn't a bite.
"And you…" Loomis pushed Steve up, who then held to his bruised face. "You are going to get that checked."
"Yep, and straight away," Robin teased as she helped him up as well.
"Hey, I can manage…" Steve tried saying.
"That's an order." Hopper almost glared at his deputy, who widened his bruised eye a bit.
"Yes, sir…" Steve complied and allowed Robin and Loomis to help him towards the ambulances.
Hopper and Joyce made their way into the scene: the sidewalk was crowded with people, most of them parents with their kids, who were still their costumes, along with many paramedics and other officers of Hopper's station.
Hopper and Joyce stood frozen shock of the sight before them: set on the lawn—were several forms of human figures—all wrapped in white cloth.
"Chief!" They turned to see Flo, despite her age, walk towards them the fast she could.
"Flo?" Hopper said, as he walked up to his secretary.
"Oh, thank G*d, I almost thought the worst. We tried getting in contact with you for hours."
"Everyone here?"
Flo shook her head. "Powell and Callahan are no doubt still out on patrol. King and Webb are at the hospital to oversee in case."
They passed a few covered bodies, one of them, whose cloth over their face, was bleeding red with blood. That caught Hopper's attention.
"What happened…?"
"Mr. Zimmerman's sons…" Flo looked down. "All dead."
Hopper stood still before looking back at the dead figures. Joyce put a hand to her mouth. She never thought of the Zimmerman boys fondly. She remembered during Will's year of episodes—the Zimmerman boys took every chance to torment her boy over his disappearance. She swore there would be hell to pay if they came near her son again—but now seeing them like this. This was not what they deserved.
"All three of them?" Hopper looked at Flo.
Flo nodded grimly. "Earl, Robby, and…" The older woman looked away a bit. "Kenny's face… is beyond recognition."
Hopper closed his eyes at that. For a kid to go through something that far.
There was a faint sob, and the three adults look to see a group of youths sitting on a porch with expressions of anguish, as they had blankets on their shoulders.
"What happened to them?" Joyce asked.
"The kids were planning a party…" Flo looked down a bit. "When young Charlie got there—he screamed out to the whole neighborhood what he had found inside."
Hopper and Joyce looked back to Charlie, who was still weeping in sorrow after the youth had found the corpses of Heather, Carol, and Tommy H. in the house. Next to him were the other invites to the party, Tina and her boyfriend, Reed. They realized there was someone else with them, who was comforting them with words as he had a notebook and pen in his hands—Bruce.
"They…" Charlie croaked. "They were just like that… I thought it was… a trick… but no…" The boy cradled his head with his hands. "I don't know…"
"Charlie…" Tina said, as she put a hand on the guy's shoulder sympathetically.
Reed thought the same, and notice Bruce was writing. "Do you have to write every detail, sir?" The teen glared at the reporter.
"Hey, I'm trying to get all I can for the people." The blonde reporter stated. "And I said I am sorry for your loss, I really am."
Hopper shook his head when he heard that. Typical for a vulture like Bruce to feed on the chaos.
There came a woman's cry, and Joyce and Hopper looked to see Janet Holloway sobbing uncontrollably into her husband Tom's chest; the man's face was inconsolable as he looked with tears in his eyes at the dead girl on one of the stretchers in front of them.
Heather Holloway.
They couldn't be quiet at the sight of their daughter lying motionless on stretcher with a gash on her stomach and a slash on her throat. Janet then moved to hover over her daughter's face and cried tears as she patted it and her hair. Tom could only collapse to his knees and gripped her hand like a life raft—till he sank his head down to the ground in complete defeat.
Joyce and Hopper could only look at the broken family with sympathy and heartache. The sight—reminded Hopper of one of the worst—if not the worst experience he had in his life.
"Chief Hopper?" Hopper and Joyce turned to see a unfamiliar woman coming towards them. "Chief Hopper!" The woman in her early thirties, with wavy dark brown hair and eyes. She had a tan waistcoat over a pink turtleneck and red dress. "Are you Chief Hopper?"
"Yes…" Hopper nodded, but more bewildered by the woman herself. "I'm sorry, who are you?"
"Hopper? Joyce?" Coming behind the unfamiliar woman, was Ted Wheeler.
"Ted?" Hopper and Joyce said at the same time.
"Thank goodness!" Ted breathed deep. "We don't what the hell happened—but what is happening…" The Wheeler matriarch gestured to the chaos happening around them. "I don't believe. I just don't believe it!"
"Ted, who is this?" Hopper pointed at the woman.
"You don't know her?" Ted questioned. "When we were getting fixed with the doctors, she was looking around and then Little Karen saw her."
Both Hopper and Joyce furrowed their brows as they look back at the woman.
"Little Karen? Laurie's daughter?" Joyce asked.
The woman nodded. "I'm a friend of Sam's. Loomis." She looked at Hopper. "Where is he?"
"Ah!" Steve groaned as a doctor treated his face.
"It's okay, son," The doctor said reassuringly. "Just stay still a little bit."
"Yeah, Steve," Robin said, as she stood by. "You're doing great."
"Ugh…" Steve said. "I don't think I did before…" The jock-turned-deputy thought again to his unsuccessful fight with the assailant.
"So, where is he?" A female doctor as Dr. Loomis, as they stood a bit away from Steve's operation.
"He's in the van back over there," Loomis pointed to how far the lab van was. "His leg may be busted, and no doubt needs…"
"Don't worry, then…" The female doctor nodded, and she nodded to another paramedic and they started to make their way towards where Owens was. Loomis was about to follow, only when he was stopped by a child's voice…
"Uncle Sam?"
Loomis turned around… and what he saw… terror arose at the striking sight of an evil long ago.
The child stared at him… clad in a clown costume… smeared with blood in the chest.
(Halloween 1978 OST Main Theme)
"No…" Loomis gasped as he continued to stare at the sight. "No… No."
The figure somehow tilted its head.
"No!" Loomis screeched out, and the doctor fell against the side of the ambulance, still not taking his eyes off the clown. "NO! NO! NOO! Nooo….!" The doctor's voice broke down to one of anguish and exhaustion, and almost went to his gun…
"What is going on?" Karen Wheeler said as she came in the scene with Holly, who had blood smeared on her pink princess dress as well. Sam glanced back at them… and realized—the clown was not a specter—it was…
"Uncle… Sam…" The girl in the clown costume whimpered, and then removed her mask to rub her eyes—revealing it to be little Karen Strode.
Loomis's eyes widened and felt himself struck dumb. Not dumb with horror that he cried in horror at seeing Laurie's daughter in the outfit that befitted the Shape—but the how his hand had by instinct went to the gun in his pocket. What had he done?
"Karrie? You're crying?" Holly noted seeing the tears coming from Little Karen's face.
"Sam? What… what happened?" Karen asked.
"K-Karen…" Loomis looked at the little blonde girl starting to weep and started to crawl towards her. "I…"
The girl almost shied away. "Please don't shout at me again!"
"No! No! No! I thought… I thought… I'm sorry…" Loomis was feeling his heart bleeding with an unseen blade, and he was the cause of it. "I just…" The elderly man stretched out his hands, just hoping the girl could understand, but after crying out like that, he had no doubt scared her.
"I'm sorry…" He breathed out.
Little Karen then wrapped her arms around Loomis. The doctor felt surprised at this, but nonetheless returned the hug, almost feeling the need to spill tears.
"Did I… scare you, Uncle Sam?" Little Karen asked. "Was it the costume?"
Loomis almost chuckled at that. "Yes… Karrie… it was…" It was indeed.
Holly held her mother's hand, who looked at the scene confused. Why had Sam thrown such a fit after seeing Little Karen in a clown costume? Was it because of the blood on it? Just the way he cried out was like…
"Karen?" Karen looked to see Ted, Hopper, and Joyce coming in the scene.
"What's going on?" Hopper asked, confused.
"Sam?"
The voice of a woman caught Loomis's attention as he let go of Little Karen and turned to see coming with the other adults and all-too familiar face, he thought was a sight for his sore eyes.
"Marion…" He breathed out.
"Marion?" Joyce and Karen said.
"You know each other, Loomis?" Hopper asked.
"Hello, Sam," The woman shyly said.
"Marion…" Loomis stood up to face her. "What are you doing here in Hawkins?"
Marion Chambers' face turned a bit grim. "I was contacted by Dr. Sartain and Dr. Hoffman."
"They're here?" Loomis asked.
"They're on their way here with Mayor Kline."
"Mayor Kline?" Ted asked, now baffled. "What is going on here?"
"And it's not only them… a warrant officer from state is here… for you and Dr. Owens."
"Owens?" Karen said, baffled.
Loomis looked to Joyce and Hopper, who glanced at each other.
Well, wasn't this just perfect enough.
Hawkins Memorial Hospital
"Michael's… here?" Max breathed out, and seemed the cold feeling was just the tip of the iceberg settling in.
"What are you talking about?" Billy said, a bit skeptic. "How do you even know?"
"Billy…" Lucas said.
"El, how…" Laurie said as she held El's shoulders. "Are you sure?"
El paused as she looked at Laurie, and she nodded. "I know. I know he's here. I can feel it."
"Oh, c'mon, what is this? Star Wars?" Billy shook his head.
"Shut up, Billy!" Max hissed.
"El, but how…" Mike said, looking at his girlfriend. "How can he know you're here if…"
The boy then paused as he realized the way his girlfriend was feeling—and that the monster stalking her managed to find out where she was—reminded him almost exactly what Will went through with the Mind Flayer when he was…
"The Spy…" Mike said, and Max and Lucas raised at him and started to remember what that meant.
"The Spy?" Lucas said.
"You mean Will?" Max asked.
"No, El!" Mike said, and everyone looked at El. "Just like how Mind Flayer managed to spy on us through Will—it's the same thing with Michael and El?"
"The hell you are talking about?" Billy said.
"You're saying that…" Max said, with a horrifying thought coursing through her. "El and Michael Myers… are connected?"
"You mean like psychically?" Lucas asked, very afraid of the possibility.
"What is this supposed to be? The Twilight Zone?" Billy commented.
"But how?" Laurie asked. "How could they be?"
"The void?" Everyone looked at El. "He… did something… to me…"
The girl remembered when she held by the Shape in the void, he cut his hand—and then pushed his bleeding palm into her mouth.
"It's how he was able to find us at the cabin…" El said with it sinking in. "And he'll always find me. And he's here right now."
Everyone then felt a cold silence take them—just as they could feel a respite—it came crashing when they now realized the evil they had been running from—was not far behind.
"We have to leave," Laurie stood up. "Right now."
"Oh, come on, you can't be serious," Billy said.
"There's no time!" Max said, as she and Laurie helped El off from the bed.
"AHH!"
The group felt frozen stiff when they heard a man's scream from outside.
"Oh, no…" Laurie gasped.
(Stranger Things OST The Trees Are Moving)
The hallway was still and the quiet could be cut by a knife. Or more precisely a scalpel like the one the Shape carried.
The Shape walked through the hall, getting closer to the room of the one he wanted to…
Upon entering the room—it was empty.
The Shape looked around, starting with the crumpled bed, and knew it was used by her. He went over to it and place his hand on it, and he felt the still fresh warmth that she had left behind. He then looked to see two New Coke cans lying on a desk next to the bed, alongside a deck of cards. One of the cards was outside the deck, and the Shape picked it up.
Joker.
That's what the card was. The Shape breathed long and hard before putting the card down, now smeared with blood.
The Shape walked out of the room and stopped, looking both ways. Eventually, he made a left to next hall. For a moment, he thought he heard the tiniest glimmer of some scurrying—which gave him all the more confirmation where they were.
The Shape continued to walk the empty halls, before…
Coming out from the door yards from him—was Laurie Strode, Mike Wheeler, and Max Mayfield—all three gasping at the sight of the Shape now seeing them.
"GO! GO! GO!" Laurie yelled as she herded the two young children down the hall—the Shape now giving chase.
When they disappeared down the hall—and the Shape now gone from sight—a door to a room the Shape was next to opened—revealing Lucas, who made sure the coast was clear and beckoned Billy, who was carrying El to follow him.
The Strode woman and the two kids with her ran literally for their lives down the hallway, with the Shape not far behind them. They didn't have time to turn around make sure. When they made to turn, Max screamed her lungs out and Mike and Laurie gasped in as impaled to the wall was a female patient. The woman was like a doll pinned to the wall with a pin, but the woman's dead eyes stared never-ending to the ceiling and bled. Max wanted to throw up bile at the sight, but the Laurie and Mike (although saddened and horrified) took the redhead by her hand and turned to the area of the hospital that was under construction.
The Shape passed by the dead woman shortly after.
The three went through a few doors before coming into a surgery room, and once inside Max locked the door.
"OH MY G*D…" Max's face was scrunching up along with her anxiety. "OH MY G*D! OH MY G*D! OH MY G*D…"
"Max!" Laurie held Max's face in her hands. "Please! Just breath!"
"Laurie!" Mike pointed to the red telephone on the wall.
Laurie understood and went over and put the red telephone to her ear. "It's ringing!"
The button to the floor Laurie was calling from beeped on a machine next to Cami, who didn't see it and was paying attention to Jill on the phone.
"I don't know, Jill, they still haven't come back yet, and getting heeby here by myself." Cami said, and then she heard Jill's reply. "I can't. I better go up and check on Dr. Maple. I still hope others come back from downtown soon."
"C'MON! DAMMIT! PICK UP!" Laurie yelled and banged her hand against the wall, as Max and Mike looked on with worry. Did Michael kill the desk lady as well?
CRACK!
(Halloween II OST The Shape Stalks Again)
Laurie dropped the phone, as she, Max, and Mike turn back in horror when Michael broke his window of the door with his maimed left hand, and he peered inside to stare at the three of them.
"Oh, sh*t…" Mike muttered—and Michael tilted his head at that before he slid his left hand to open the door with his three remaining fingers.
"GO! GO!" Laurie yelled as the three of them went to the other door, but not before they swiped weapons of their own from the surgery tools on a metal stool; Laurie took hold a knife shaped like a butcher's knife; Mike took hold of a narrow knife; and Max took hold of a pair of scissors. The three of them quickly got out just as the Shape made it halfway through the room.
The three of them found themselves in another room with curtains over the beds—the ideal place of hiding—and the worst.
The Shape entered into the room and saw the curtains—and realized that was how the game was going to be. The Shape breathed hard through his mask. Even hiding behind the curtains, the three heroes could hear the breathing—and Max put hand over her mouth as she clutched the scissors in her hands. Laurie put a hand over shoulder to comfort her, and looked at Mike, who looked back at her. They may as well prolong the slaughter. They couldn't scurry out to the next curtain—otherwise Michael will know immediately where they were, and when he does find them—there was barely a chance they will be able overcome him with what they have.
The Shape stepped forward and draw back the first curtain. Nothing.
His footsteps were getting closer. Max felt the need for tears.
The Shape went to the other curtain and draw it back. Still nothing.
Mike took Max's free hand and squeezed it. The redhead looked to the boy, who nodded sympathetically, and the girl nodded back. Laurie took hold of Max's hand, and the teens look at the woman, who nodded back at them sympathetically; the three of them almost smiled at each other—at how they were with each other to the inevitable.
The pair of black shoes were down below the curtain in front of them, and the Shape breathed louder than before, now ready to draw back the last curtain and…
"RAHHHA!" The Shape turned behind too late to see a crazed Nurse Scott come at him with a scalpel of her own and began stabbing again and again on his chest. "I'LL KILL YOU!" She wailed. "I KILL YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID TO THEM!" Tears had been streaming down her face after what she had found in the other rooms.
The three heroes had uncovered the curtain and looked in awe as one nurse was giving her fury to overpower Michael.
"We got to help her!" Max exclaimed, but she was stopped by Laurie.
"NO!" Laurie yelled, and she looked back at the scene—knowing what was about to happen.
Nurse Scott went to stab again, but the Shape was barely affected by her attacks and went to plunge his own scalpel deep into her stomach. Nurse Scott stopped and groaned a big 'o' while the three heroes looked in horror. The Shape's burned pale face remained stoic, as he proceeded to lift her both with his left hand at her throat and his scalpel jabbed in her stomach—and with a thrust he lifted her head to smash into the long lightbulbs above. And so sudden, Nurse Scott's head exploded with sparks of electricity burning into her skull, and the lights flickered in the room.
The Shape released Nurse Scott's head from the damaged lights and dropped her to the ground. Her head and face were a blackened, melted mess. Fire had burned through her hair and into her brain, and the sparks had gone to burn the traces of her upper face and ears. The Shape looked to see one of her feet still shaking due to the brutal contact of the electricity; only a few moments later it stopped shaking.
It was then the Shape realized the three he was after were gone.
Laurie, Max, and Mike ran out of the room and into the hall where they turned into an empty room. The three of them took the time to breath hard, especially Max.
"Max?" Mike asked. "Max, you okay?"
"We…" Max waved a hand to her face. "We… could we had helped her…" She panted. "She saved us… and Michael… he just…" The redhead scrunched up her face when trauma came back with the mental image of the woman's head exploding.
"She gave us a chance, Max," Laurie said. "I would have gone down fighting if it meant giving you two a chance, but she took it. And I will always remember her for that." She went to hold Max's face in her hands. "Let's make her sacrifice count."
Max then nodded.
The three of them knew better than to stay in the room as it was a dead end. Laurie looked out the hall—and it was still empty. She made the gesture to move out, and three were back in the hallway, till Mike stopped.
"Mike?" Laurie said, and both she and Max stopped. "What are you doing?"
Mike looked behind him and down the empty hall for a moment, before looking back at his companions. "Michael… he's not following us anymore."
"Don't be stupid! He can come out any moment now!" Max exclaimed. "Let's go!"
"But why keep coming after us?" Mike questioned. "Were not the ones he's after! He's after El most of all!"
Max stopped at that, and Laurie realized too.
"El said…" Mike said. "That…"
"That he could sense her." Max finished for him and started realized.
"He…" Laurie started to speak. "It's how he knew she was here in the first place. And that means… he saw caught on to our fake chase…"
Max looked at her with horror. "He was toying with us… and that means…"
Mike looked down the hallway with grimace and horror building up in him. "Eleven."
Lucas pushed through the door, allowing him, Billy, and El bursting back into the lobby floor.
"Hey! Hey!" The three of them turned around to see their shock—after all this time—Cami the desk lady walking toward them. "Where do you think you're going?!" She then saw Billy carrying an in his arms. "What the heck?! What are doing carrying her out of bed?!"
"Ugh! Ma'am…" Billy sighed. "This is really the stupidest time to ask this!"
"He's right!" Lucas said, with his breath heavy. "We need to get out! You need to get out! IT'S LIFE AND DEATH!"
Cami simply shook her head. "I don't care what you three are playing at! The fact is that you are going back straight to—"
And then the shadow fell upon her.
She didn't notice the elevator had opened behind her, and the youths did not react to scream when the burned pale face of the Shape appeared behind her—and went to drive his scalpel under her ribcage.
(Halloween 2018 OST Michael Kills)
Cami would have thought to scream, but she had felt the feeling of cold and dread wash upon her, and the snow-cold feeling she felt when the tool pierced her insides—and she groaned when she felt herself being lifted up in the air.
The faces of Lucas, Billy, and El were of sheer horror and shock as Cami then started wriggle her body in the air in response to the pain inflicted by Michael's blade. Cami shook her head violently and her glasses fell from her face and onto the floor. Soon, Cami stopped shaking—having succumbed to the blade. The youths felt the need to cry, while Michael only tilted his head at his work—before he dropped her to the ground.
(Halloween II OST The Shape Stalks Again)
"GO! NOW!" Lucas cried out and the three of them made their way towards the door to the basement. It was no longer an option to escape through the front entrance as the Shape stood in the way. The Shape walked over Cami's corpse and one of his feet managed to crush her fallen glasses.
The three youths went down the spiral stairs to the lower floor, the mullet still carrying the telekinetic girl with the bandana boy leading the way.
"Sh*t! Sh*t! Sh*t! Sh*t! Sh*t!" Lucas couldn't stop repeating.
"Stop cussing Sinclair!" Billy exclaimed.
They finally made it down, yet El while was in Billy's arms—she looked up—just in time to see a black shape starting to descend the stairs at a causal pace.
They ran away through the dark hall and made it to the boiler room and were met by the sight of…
"AHHH!" The three of them shrieked (Lucas's scream sounded higher pitch than El's) as they saw Officer King hanging at the corner of the ceiling, with blood trailing down his forehead.
"OKAY! OKAY!" Lucas said, covering his face from the sight. "Moving away right now!"
"No! Stop!" El cried out with heartache.
"We can't stop, girl!" Billy said. "He's right up on our asses!"
"He's after ME! Not you!" El cringed her face, with tears almost erupting. "You have to leave me!"
"What?!" Billy and Lucas exclaimed, with wide eyes.
"If you do…"
"The hell we won't!" Lucas said. "NO way in hell I'll do that El! EVER!"
"Is that a window?" Billy said, and everyone looked to the small window up on the wall—that led to outside. Lucas and Billy looked at each other—and understood.
There came the sounds of heavy footsteps from the hall they came from.
Oh, sh*t.
"What are you doing?" El asked as Billy quickly brought to the window.
"Giving you your way out!" Billy said as he pushed El up towards.
"But Billy…!"
"If you're the one he wants, you'll get a head start outside! NOW GO!" Billy said, as El reluctantly push the window open for her to get out—just in time for the Shape to enter the boiler room.
Upon seeing the Shape, Billy instantly backed away; the Shape saw El crawling out and he instantly went to grab her feet.
Knowing the danger—Billy went in unexpectedly—and with a yell—he kicked Michael Myers in the chest, which send him stumbling back.
"WHOO!" Billy whooped, and he looked back to see the fruit of his labor as El had managed to crawl out successfully.
Billy met eyes with Myers, who regained his footing—and two made a stare down. There was no backing down anymore. Billy stared with daggers at the monster who killed, Carol, Tommy, Heather, and others. Others he didn't know—nonetheless. This… thing was not going to stop… it might not even stop if Max was… no.
The mullet then went to make a bone-pop at his neck and gritted his teeth.
"So… you ever faced a Cobra Kai before?" Billy almost grinned, as he could almost feel the golden cobra on his back burning. "LET'S SEE WHAT YOU GOT!"
Instantly, Billy mirrored a move he saw from TV and raised his leg—ready to jump and kick. "HIIIIYAAAA!"
Except… it didn't work.
Just as Billy went to kick to the side, Michael caught it without stress. Billy froze as he looked at his leg and back at Michael, who merely tilted his head.
Oh…
With one hand holding his leg, the Shape with his other grabbed Billy by his collar, before swinging the mullet in the air before he crashed into a pile of boxes.
"Ugh…" Billy groaned. "It didn't work."
Those movies were filled with lies. Or maybe it was just him.
The Shape then hovered over Billy and raised his scalpel high.
This was it. Billy should have known. This what he got for helping someone.
"YAHHHH!" Lucas cried as the boy came out of the shadows and used a sharp metal pole and drove it into Michael's leg. It caused the Shape to kneel down and drop his scalpel.
"Stick a scalpel in that, B*TCH!" Lucas yelled, before Michael grabbed him by the throat, ignoring the pole in his leg.
"YAH!" Billy yelled as smashed into the Shape's face what was a fragile glass jar in the boxes, and it caused him to let go Lucas.
"GO! GO! GO!" Billy yelped as he pulled Lucas to his feet and the duo ran away from Myers.
The two sprinted like Shaggy and Scooby Doo as they made a turn right and saw salvation: an elevator. They immediately sprinted towards, till Lucas tripped.
"Get your *ss up, Sinclair!" Billy yelled as he yanked the boy up and they got to the inside of the elevator.
"Push it! NOW!" Lucas exclaimed as Billy tapped repeatedly the top button.
"Why is it not closing?!" Lucas said, as the doors still remained open… and no sooner—when the silence was set—the Shape reappeared and saw them.
"BILLY!" Lucas squealed.
"THE HELL I AM SINCLAIR!" Billy tapped again.
The Shape started walking towards them.
"BIILLLYYYY!"
"RAAHHH!" The mullet tapped the button for what felt like the thousandth time.
The doors were taking very slowly, while the Shape was coming fast.
Pulling up and with a stretch of his arm, the Sinclair boy pulled the rubber elastic of his wrist rocket with one of the rocks in his back pocket. This was like the Demogorgon in the classroom—and there was no El with them this time. Lucas now pulled back and aim what was the thread hanging his life and Billy's at the moment.
And then…
SWOOSH!
THACK!
Billy heard that and looked to see as the Shape fell on his rear. Lucas's mouth was a perfect hole when his rock swished through the air—and made an impact near Michael's right eye; enough to cause him to actually fall back.
It was after that hit—the elevator doors finally closed—and it was too late for the Shape as he tried get back up.
With their safety assured, the two fell back against the wall of the elevator.
"You…" Billy's eyes were wide, and felt he was out of breath. "You… did it… with your…"
"You saw that?" Lucas's face turned to very large grin. "You saw that! Did you see that!"
"You kidding man?!" Billy's face started to erupt a smile.
(You're the Best – Joe Esposito)
"Ooohhh! Who's the man?!" Lucas sprung up with a wave of his hands.
"You're the man!" Billy said.
"You were the man first!"
"Were both the man! Cobra Kai is back, baby!"
Even the small space, the two made a fist bump and laughed at having thwarted the boogeyman and…
"Oh, my goodness…" Lucas's smile faded. "Did you just fist-bump me?"
Billy's grin faded a bit. "Yeah… what?"
"Are you serious?" Lucas said, a bit nervously.
Billy shook his head. "We almost died, man! Give it a break!"
Lucas didn't what think. Right here was a guy he despised for all the *sshole things he did to him, Steve, and Max not so long ago, and here they were—having just fought and saved each other's *ss—like comrades. Was he seriously thinking this right now? This guy had insulted New Coke. And despite the fact that he carried…
"Oh, sh*t…" Lucas's face dropped in horror. "We forgot something."
Billy looked confused and then realized. "Oh no, don't tell me…"
"EL!" Lucas realized.
"Oh, sh*t!" Billy cringed his eyes shut. After being so focused on their own *sses on the line—they forgot the very reason they were fighting for.
"We need to find her!" Lucas said. "Before Michael does!"
"We need to get back with Max and the others."
"Of course," Lucas reached in his back. "That's why I have…"
The boy then realized something worse. Something…
"Sinclair?" Billy became concerned with Lucas's pause, knowing it couldn't have been good.
"My pack…" Lucas said.
"What with it?"
"I think I dropped it."
"What's in the stupid pack you need…?" Billy then stopped as he then remembered, that in Lucas's pack—was an essential part of their group survival. "Oh… sh*t."
(Stranger Things OST Rats)
Back in the now quiet boiler room, near the mess of boxes and broken glass, lay the pouch that was used by a certain boy to carry a set of New Cokes—and was holding…
There came the beeping a walkie from it—which caught the Shape's attention, as he picked it up and pulled out the walkie. He managed to click on the right button and then came a voice.
"Lucas! Lucas! Are you there!" Laurie's voice came out.
"El! It's us! Are you alright!" Mike's desperate voice called out.
"Guys were speaking to you! If you're turned this on, that means you can tell us you're safe!" Max called out.
The Shape remained silent, besides not being the one they were calling for.
"Tell us where you are?! Is Michael on your tail?!" Laurie called out again.
"Please! Answer us! Please!" Mike called out desperately. "El if you are there—"
The Shape turned off the walkie, and he breathed loud and hard. The hunt was coming to an end. It was only a matter of time. The night was not over… until he will kill them all.
THERE!
I know this was short, but glad to finally get this out!
Sorry how it's getting dark.
Lot to unfold after this.
Chaos is erupting in the small town of Hawkins!
Yes, before I said Charlie is portrayed by Drew Scheid returning from Season 2—and also known to portray Oskar from Halloween 2018!
The two friends are portrayed by returning Stranger Things faces Tina and Reed—portrayed by Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes—who you may know them for portraying star-crossed treasure hunters Sarah Cameron and John B. Routledge in the surprise-hit Netflix show—OUTER BANKS! Yes, the two starred in Stranger Things before Outer Banks—so I found it fitting to have them here!
I hope you recognized the scene where Loomis screams in terror seeing Little Karen's bloody clown costume is an homage to ending of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers when Loomis sees and screams when Jamie Lloyd (Laurie's daughter) gets briefly possessed by Michael's rage and is wearing the same outfit he had the night he killed Judith. Except here, Little Karen got blood on her costume when Holly showed it to her when she bumped into Michael, after he butchered the Zimmerman brothers.
And yes, the big part I had to develop was the hospital sequence—mixed up from The Flayed and the Halloween II. Sorry, about the female patient Nurse Scott. And Cami was killed the iconic way Nurse Jill was killed in Halloween II.
And I wonder if I did good with the humor with the Cobra Kai basement fight!
Recognize Billy trying his martial art on Michael—is an homage to Busta Rhymes's (real name Trevor Smith Jr.) character Freddie from Halloween Resurrection—where he managed to kick Michael around like a dummy with moves. Of course, in here, it made sense for Billy not being able to overpower Michael—only for Lucas to come to the rescue!
You better definitely feel Cobra Kai Johnny Lawrence and Miguel Diaz vibes with new dynamic duo Lucas Sinclair and Billy Hargrove!
OH! Who's the man!
But just wait!
Finally this is out of the way—now we can get to the final half of the FINAL BATTLE!
The LAST 3 CHAPTERS to this story will be: EPIC, NERVE-BREAKING, AND DARK!
I waited so long to write these chapters since the start! Next chapter, the Party will finally reunite—before marching against the inevitable! So, just you wait and see you next time!
