I'm back… to finally bring you the final battle to this alternate Stranger Things 3 and sequel to Halloween!
I know… this chapter has been the one you have been waiting for so long! I'm so sorry! Lot has happened! There's other stuff in life besides this. Finishing the finals for semester, work, getting into an accident, and also there was the promise of starting my new story. I was going to try to upload the next chapter to that story, but I realized I wanted to develop the chapter more and not rush it and decided to finally post this!
We are nearing the release of Halloween Kills (fortunately I was able to use one of the early released music tracks for this chapter!) and soon after that will be Stranger Things 4!
This here… the big battle we have been accumulating towards… it is basically…
Michael Myers versus… almost every Stranger Things character, alongside his old nemesis's: Laurie Strode and Dr. Sam Loomis! It's the Shape taking on a Battle Royale! Now… he will show his wrath…
For all of you who are finally excited for this… beware also because this chapter is not for the faint of heart. This is up to date the most violent and action pack, and it is dark for what's in store here.
Remember, I DO NOT own either Stranger Things or Halloween.
Chapter 22
The Wrath of Michael Myers
Hawkins Memorial Hospital
BOOM!
With a ROOVE, the Shape had drove Billy's blue Camaro straight towards the glass doors of Hawkins Memorial Entrance, and after breaking through the glass doors it stopped when it crashed with a wall, and the impact caused it to explode.
BOOM!
The car unleased a wave of fire out from the engine and it spread meters throughout the entrance room of the place, even spreading fire on the lobby desk.
Several moments later, when the fire started to settle down a bit… entering the destroyed and burnt entrance… was the Shape.
(Halloween 2018 OST The Grind)
The Shape breathed long and hard and looked all around him. The fires behind him illuminated his shadow long and it stretched almost halfway down the hall before him.
The Shape started walking.
He walked near the desk, and walk over again Cami's body, yet careful not to step on the large pool of blood it had leaked.
He made a turn to the next hall, which still looked quiet.
So many doors. So many rooms.
It was only a matter of time.
The Shape then heard a creak… coming from the door a few meters from him.
"Will…" Joyce's voice said. "Keep it steady… you got to keep it together, baby…"
"I can't!" Will cried out, now shaking the gun. "I just… I'm sorry. Mom, I'm sorry! I can't do it." I lowered the rifle down.
The door to the room opened, and the Shape appeared… just in time for Will raised the rifle again.
The crybaby look on Will's face immediately switched to that of a snark and serious look.
"Gotcha," Will said, before pulling the trigger.
BANG!
The bullet instantly flew in the air and hit Michael on the right cheek of his mask. There was the sound of metal ripping into flesh, and the Shape recoiled from the surprise attack and pain, and staggard back, now holding on to his cheek.
"Happy Halloween, Michael…" The Shape froze when he heard Laurie Strode's voice from coming behind him, and then…
SLASH!
(Halloween 2018 OST Trap the Shape)
The Shape was too late when Laurie slid below him, and she had managed to slash at his leg with her knife.
The Shape grunted from the attack, and then was hit in the back by Jonathan, who wielded a metal tube.
"RAHHH!" Jonathan roared and then swung again, but the Shape pushed him with his maimed hand towards the wall, once again having the Byer's boy pinned under his mercy. The Shape raised his scalpel to finish Jonathan, but he felt strong hands preventing him from doing so.
The Shape turned to see Hopper gripping his right arm and was preventing him from bringing the scalpel down on Jonathan. The Chief scrunched his face as it looked like he was holding up so much of his fury and hate, even as he stared back at the Shape.
Nancy came in and hit the Shape's left side with a metal can, giving Hopper momentum to swerve the Shape around and on the ground. Hopper took Jonathan's metal rod, and both the Byers boy and the Wheeler girl stood behind the Chief as he neared the Shape.
Before Hopper could bring the metal rod on the Shape, the latter swiped his scalpel towards them.
"WHOA!" Hopper bellowed, as the man barely missed the swipe attack and had backed up towards Nancy and Jonathan.
The Shape got up on his feet and still kept his eyes on Hopper. Even masked, Hopper felt the Shape eyed with him with anger. The Shape stood there for a moment, before making his way slowly towards the three of them; and the three of them back away into the hall.
The fire from entrance still blazed behind Michael's back, and he looked like a shadow in the blazing glow. It made Hopper, Nancy, and Jonathan uneasy.
They were wondering who was going to make the next move.
Hopper gritted his teeth and raised the rod. The Shape raised his scalpel and swung it. Hopper blocked it and used the rod to hold Michael's arm in a hold. Nancy and Jonathan backed away. Both Hopper and Michael started pushing against each other with their strengths. Michael then stretched his left hand and grabbed it at Hopper's cheek. His three-remaining left fingers started to burrow in his flesh. Hopper growled at his.
Any moment now…
"YAHHH!" Steve cried out as the former jock-turned deputy burst from a door behind Michael and came behind him. He then lifted his spike-nailed bat in the air and with a swung…
SQEESH!
The Shape moaned at the unexpected sharp pain penetrating his back, causing him to let go of Hopper.
Hopper looked in awe, while Nancy and Jonathan grinned. Even Steve curled his lip in satisfaction. He waited to give this son of a b*tch a taste of his bat the moment he learned of his existence just yesterday.
Steve ripped the spike bat out of Michael bat, and it spewed out blood. Steve twirled his bat and began striking the Shape's back again. The Shape swiped from behind and Steve fell back. The Shape turned and motioned towards Steve. Steve looked in horror as the Shape raised his scalpel again, ready to strike him down…
As the blade fell, then came Robin's scream.
"NO!"
Robin dashed and stopped in front of Steve, and she raised an edition of Stephen King's "The Boogeyman" as a shield, and the scalpel embedded itself in on the front cover instead.
The Shape attempted to pull out his scalpel from the cover, but then he felt a force hop onto his back and tried chocking him.
"RAHH!" Billy yelled as he kept pouncing on Michael. It didn't last long as the Shape grabbed Billy from behind and pushed him against the wall. The Shape pressed his hand against the mullet's throat, choking him once again. Billy struggled against Michael's grip it might have been the end for him.
"BILLY!" Everyone almost cried out.
Billy was running out of air, and he looked around for something, and then he looked below and noticed…
"GET OFF ME YOU FREAK!" Billy grunted, and with a kick—hit Michael Myers between his legs. The Shape instantly recoiled from Hargrove and started to kneel in pain. Billy backed away from him and could only look in relief as to how that actually worked. For what he had seen, the man was a force neither from heaven nor earth, he didn't think he would succumb to dirty tactic like that. Ironically… it made him thought back to last year, when he had come to the Byers house to get Max, and when he had threateningly pushed Lucas against the wall, the boy had used the very exact tactic on him. How ironic it was… and it just saved his *ss.
Michael started to recover from the kick, and he was ready to attack the teens again, until…
BANG!
Michael felt a sharp, yet familiar pain on his leg. He looked up to see Laurie holding a gun—the very same gun Loomis used on him seven years ago.
He had felt it's bite on that night… six times.
Hopper swiped with the back of his hand at Michael's face, causing the Shape to fall back.
(The Boys Wanna Be Her – Peaches)
Jonathan quickly went to stomp on Michael's hand, forcing the latter to let go of his scalpel, thus allowing the boy to kick the weapon far away. Now Michael was unarmed.
The Shape tried to rise till Steve stroke him again with his bat. After that came a kick from Billy. The Shape was being overwhelmed by the likes of Hopper, Jonathan, Steve, and Billy. The Chief, the photographer, the babysitter, and the mullet. They rained on the Shape a series of kicks and punches to keep him down.
"You like that, *sshat?! Huh?!" Hopper growled as he stomped again. "HUH?! HUH?!"
"EAT THE DIRT UNDER MY SHOE!" Steve yelled.
"SWALLOW IT! YOU SON OF A B*TCH!" Billy yelled.
"DIE ALREADY! YOU PIG! YOU DEATH-WORSHIPING PIG!" Jonathan ranted as he poured all his hate as he kicked Michael Myers again.
Behind them, Laurie, Joyce, El, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Nancy, and Robin looked in awe—seeing the Michael Myers—being kicked to the ground—losing. This could finally be it. To finally be rid of him once and for all. All it would take a pull of the trigger to the…
WHACK!
Steve was ready to whack the Shape again, till he felt a hand stop him. Loomis's hand.
"Mr. Harrington," Loomis said. "If you would let me…"
Steve understood the look Loomis had, and he nodded as he passed his prized weapon in the doctor's hands. Everyone almost stopped to see the doctor hold up the deadly bat in his hands as he glared down at his former patient. Loomis didn't give Michael time to raise his head to look up at him, as the doctor instantly swung the spiked bat on the Shape's back with a yell.
WHACK!
Everyone almost balked back at Loomis's ferocity. The doctor, though he was past his prime, he swung the bat again on the Shape with fury and quickness rarely seen in a man. With each hit was like… a release of many years of hate and frustration just pouring out.
"Die, Michael…" Loomis hit the Shape again. "Die…" He swung harder again. "DIE!"
The bat was swung again—and it stopped—when Michael blocked it with his arm.
(Unkillable – Halloween Kills OST)
Loomis froze, and so did everyone.
As Michael's arm was bleeding against the nails of the bat, everyone didn't notice when he pulled out from his sleeve—another scalpel.
Loomis screamed when Michael jabbed it near his side.
"LOOMIS!" Hopper cried out.
Loomis staggard back at the pain, causing him to let go of the spiked bat, allowing Michael to take it. Everyone was too late to react when the Shape swung the bat down—and into Jonathan's leg.
"JONATHAN!" Joyce, Will, and Nancy screamed the hardest as the young man screamed when the Shape hit his leg with the spiked monstrosity. The young man fell to the ground clutching his leg.
"You son-of-a…" Steve growled as he tried grabbing hold of the bat in Michael's hands, in effort to reclaim it. Billy went to grab Michael from behind. The Shape dropped the bat away, and he kicked Steve to the wall before the former jock could make a move to reclaim the weapon. The Shape then backed up quickly collide Billy to the wall. The mullet felt exhausted causing the Shape to grab him off his back and lifted him up to throw him against one of the room windows. Billy broke against the glass and landed inside; he grunted painfully due to the glass cuts he received.
The Shape turned his attention on Steve, who was trying to crawl towards his bat. The Shape walked towards him, raising his scalpel, then…
"RAH!" Robin yelled and grabbed hold of Michael's arm and bit on his hand. The Shape grunted annoyingly and slapped Robin to the floor. The Shape was ready to get her, before…
PUNCH!
The Shape staggard by the surprise punch from Hopper.
"You really don't have respect for women…" The Chief glared at the Shape with disgust. "Especially…" He gritted his teeth. "When it comes to little girls…"
The Shape tilted his head at that, knowing who Hopper was referring to. The two were now in a standoff. The police chief… and the boogeyman.
Hopper roared with all his ire as he and the Shape rushed towards each other. The Chief shoved both his hands against Michael's shoulders and brought him against a wall. Hopper went to make a punch at his face, and then another punch. He sent one to his stomach. The Shape caught his next punch, but Hopper didn't falter when he went to make a headbutt at him. The Shape groaned, and he loosened his hold on Hopper's hand. Hopper then knee Michael in the stomach, causing the latter lower. Then, the Shape suddenly grabbed hold of Hopper's chest, shocking the Chief. The Shape speedily push Hopper and collided him against the wall, causing the chief to groan in the pain. The Shape took his chance to lift Hopper in the air and crash him flat on the ground.
The Shape stood over Hopper, and he lifted his foot up to give a hard stomp on his stomach.
"OHHH!" Hopper cried out at the hard blow. The Shape was ready to raise his scalpel and…
"YAHH!" The Shape turned too late when a metal wheeled stretcher pushed against him, by none other than Joyce. The Shape's face fell on the top of the stretcher. He lifted his head up and…
SMACK!
Joyce swung her belt at the Shape's face, again. She went to swing again, only for Michael to catch it. He then twisted the belt and pulled Joyce flat unto the stretcher. The Shape then went to wrap the belt around Joyce's throat and started choking her.
"MOM!"
The Shape turned at the sound of Will's voice, but then…
SKOOSH!
Max blasted gas from the fire extinguisher on Michael, and he was caught in a fog; letting go of Joyce in the process. He was temporarily blinded for a moment, until…
BAM!
Nancy grunted when she took the fire extinguisher from Max and swung it with all her strength to hit Michael in the head. "Go… to…"
Nancy didn't get to finish when Michael quickly stood back up and caught the fire extinguisher in his hands. Michael swiped it from her grasp and swung it against her stomach. Nancy gasped painfully and she grasped her stomach at the pain. She kneeled to the ground and Michael raised the extinguisher high over Nancy's head, ready to…
"NANCY!"
BANG!
Michael dropped the extinguished and staggard away from Nancy at the shot of a gun. Nancy glanced in shock first at Michael, to the clattered extinguisher, and finally to her savior. Will. Will was still holding the marshal's rifle in his hands.
"GET AWAY!" Will shouted and he hurriedly went to recoil the weapon.
The Shape got a hold of himself and saw Will. The boy felt gooseflesh once again on his skin, now that the Shape had his attention on him. The Shape started walking towards him. Will gasped and fired another shot at him.
BANG!
It missed.
He fired again.
BANG!
It managed to graze Michael in the arm.
He pulled the trigger again.
The Shape was now in front of him. Will went to raise the gun up to aim at the Shape…
BANG!
Will's jaw dropped when the Shape grabbed hold of the front of the rifle and used his three remaining fingers to twist it the other way. Will's eyes met with that of the Shape. They only stared at each other for half a second till…
SLASH!
Will froze when Michael's right arm shot up in his face and back. He didn't understand what just happened… till he felt the stinging lining on his face. Soon, he felt the warm stream of blood seeping down from his forehead and his cheek. His eyes locked again with those of the Shape, who held the blade that cut him, even tilting his head at him. Will could only feel numb and felt himself falling…
"WILL!" Michael froze at Lucas's cry; he raised his head and…
SMACK!
Michael recoiled back at the familiar pain of wrist-rocket pebble hitting him again in the face.
"WILL, NO!" Dustin cried out as the former toothless boy dashed towards his fallen friend. The Shape got out of his daze and extended his arm to grab Dustin.
"GET AWAY!" Max went to shove Michael away from them, but then the Shape grabbed hold of the redhead's throat.
"MAX, NO!" Lucas cried out.
The Shape lifted Max from the ground and pushed her against the wall. The girl grabbed hold of the hand holding her throat, not being able to keep it from squeezing her like a sponge. The girl's face was starting to turn purple in contrast to her red hair. Michael could only stare, and twixt his head a little.
"YOU EVIL—" Joyce dashed to attack Michael from behind, but the Shape swiftly slapped the woman's face with the back of his hand.
Max gritted her teeth as her hand went to her pocket and pulled out—a pair of scissors—the ones she had taken from the surgery room upstairs. She quickly raised them up high, and just as Michael turned his face back at her…
SLACK!
The Shape groaned loudly, and he let go of Max, who fell to the floor.
"OH, MY G*D! MAX!" Joyce pulled the girl into a hug; all the while the redhead rubbed at her throat while still looking at the Shape now kneeling away with her weapon in his eye.
Joyce was rubbing the girl's back, and then… she turned head to see something… something… she dreaded would be the picture of her worst nightmare…
A few feet from her and Max… surrounded by Lucas and Dustin… was Will.
"No…" Joyce felt the blood leave her cheeks, as she slowly let go of Max, and the redhead too saw what she was seeing.
"No…" Joyce started to get closer. "No. No. NO!" The woman scrambled towards Will, whose face was pouring out blood.
"No, no, no!" Joyce felt the tears coming out. "Oh… MY BABY!" The woman cradled Will in her arms, and kept his head looking upward, lest he seep out more blood. "PLEASE, NO! PLEASE! NOT AGAIN! Not ag…" Joyce squealed out an awful-long sob, and she leaned her head over Will.
Lucas, Dustin, and Max could only sit back, and they could feel their spirits break at the sight. Max was the first stream tears down her face. It was the last thing Nancy saw before she succumbed to the blow Michael dealt her and fell unconscious.
Crawling into the scene was Loomis, who held the part of his chest where Michael stabbed him. He fell to his knees and look in horror at the sight Joyce, Dustin, Will, and Max gathered over Will's fallen form. The doctor felt a sheet of cold draining the blood from him, and how horrible he started feeling at the sight.
"No…" The doctor breathed out.
Loomis then heard a painful grunt, and he looked to see Michael standing up. The doctor's jaw dropped to see a pair of scissors stuck in his left eye. The doctor cringed when the Shape, slowly and then quickly pulled the blades out of his socket. He heard the Shape grunted again, and he heard him breath long and hard; and there was the unmistakable dripping of blood.
"YOU MONSTER!" The Shape turned to glance at the source of that hateful yell; it belonged to Joyce, whose face was fueled of anguish, hurt, and hate, even when they locked eyes. Even Dustin, Max, and Lucas beside shot the Shape with hateful glares, as they gathered around their beloved, who Michael had attacked.
The Shape gripped the scissors in his hands, and started walking towards them, causing them to shudder in horror.
"NO! MICHAEL! NO!" Loomis cried out in horror, almost trying to reach to stop Michael. It was no use as the Shape got closer…
"RAH!" There came a yell… and Michael was forcefully levitated from the ground and hit the ceiling before coming down.
Everyone froze shock at the sudden force.
Loomis looked the other way, and he saw Eleven, Laurie, and Mike. Eleven, who had just up-and-down Michael like a doll again, started bleeding from her nose, and the girl almost fell back into Laurie and Mike's arms.
The Shape turned his head and saw them. Saw her.
He glanced back at Joyce, Dustin, Lucas, and Max kneeling in front of the unmoving Will. He glanced at his former doctor, who shuddered when their eyes met. He glanced at Nancy's unconscious form. He finally glanced back at El, Mike, and Laurie.
He made his decision.
The Shape got back up, and he walked over to Steve's spiked bat that he had dropped earlier, and he picked it up in his right hand, while holding the bloody scissors in his left. He then turned in the direction of El, Laurie, and Mike; all three of them saw the weapons he was carrying and that El's attack on him did little to faze him.
He tilted his head at them.
"Oh, sh*t…" Mike breathed out.
"RUN!" Laurie cried out, and both she and the Wheeler boy took the exhausted Eleven by her arms and they dashed down the hallway. The Shape straightened his head, and he started walking in their direction.
"MIKE!" Dustin cried out.
"EL!" Max cried with horror.
"LAURIE!" Joyce cried out, while holding her son.
"LEAVE THEM ALONE! LEAVE THEM ALONE, YOU PIECE OF SH*T!" Lucas yelled in anger towards Michael.
"NO!" Loomis exclaimed in horror. "NO, MICHAEL! LEAVE THEM BE!" Loomis tried to grab at Michael's leg, but the Shape walked past him without a care. "Michael! Please! I am begging you now! DON'T! There has been… enough pain for one night!" Loomis almost felt himself tearing inside. "What good it does you… to hurt these people?! You are even willing butcher children also?!" He glanced back Will's fallen form, before glance back at the one responsible. "If you harm… them. Laurie… she's been through so much already… and El. You know. You know what she had been through in that lab. You were there with her! YOU WERE HER BROTHER!"
At that, the Shape stopped in his tracks.
"If… you see her… in your own way, perhaps… you see her as your sister… at least… a soul… who you could sympathize with. I beseech you… for once in your life… show some humanity!"
The Shape still stood still.
Loomis shook his head in frustration. "Have you have truly cemented this heinous persona as your life?! HAVE YOU TRULY FORSAKEN COMPASSION?!"
The Shape turned his head, and stared at Loomis, who stared with wide eyes back at him. Loomis felt his entire being froze, and all attention on the mask of his former patient. The left eyehole of the mask started dripping a stream of blood from where Max had stabbed him. His left eye had been damaged long ago, and now it was even in worse state than before. The way the blood streamed down the cheek of the mask… looked as though Michael was…
He stood like that for a moment… and then the Shape turned from Loomis… and continued down the hallway.
"NO!" Loomis cried out. "MICHAEL! MICHAEL!"
Laurie, Mike, and Eleven looked as though they had approached a dead end, only to find another door which led to a room.
"Holy sh*t…" Mike breathed out. "Holy sh*t… he's not gonna stop…"
"He's here for me…" El croaked, and she shut her eyes with anguish. "Everyone… they're in pain… because of me…"
"El…" Mike said, as he took her by her shoulders.
"No, it's me!" El cried out. "It's all been me! I'm the one he's after! I can't… I can't let this go on… I have to…"
"No," Laurie said, as she kneeled to El's level and took the girl by the shoulders as well. "I won't. I won't let him. Michael's doing this because it his choice. His alone. I will NOT let him hurt you. Ever."
"L-Laurie…" El whimpered. "You can't… he… he's too strong… and… my powers…"
"We'll find another way, El." Mike said. "We will."
"Mike… were trapped. There's no way out."
Laurie looked around the room they were in. True enough there was no back door or window to escape through. Then she caught sight of gas tanks on the side.
Gas tanks. If let loose just a bit gas… and with only a spark… it would more than enough to cause the whole room to go…
Laurie then looked at the gun in her hands… and how it would be more than enough to erupt an ignition. For that to happen… Mike and Eleven couldn't be here when it will happen. She would have stay behind. And make sure she would bring Loomis's plight to light… to burn the Boogeyman that should faded from the face of the earth many years ago.
"Hey…" Laurie turned to Mike and El. "You stay behind me." She held her knife close. "When he comes… I'll be the one…"
"No!" El cried out with horror.
"Laurie, you're not serious!" Mike protested. "He's unbelievable! Hopper and everyone… he knocked them all down! If it's just you…"
"I got a plan," Laurie said. "And I need you…"
"Laurie, no…" El said, shaking her head. "You can't. Not for me. Michael is after…"
"I was in the same place seven years ago." Laurie said. "I know. And I will not let no one else feel his wrath. I made a promise… that I will protect you. You remember what a promise means."
"A promise… is something you can't break." El said.
Mike looked at them sympathetically.
"And I will." Laurie nodded. "And that depends on you doing as I say. You get behind me, and when Michael's attention on me, you get out."
"What?" El said.
"No," Mike shook his head. "Were not letting…"
"You do as I say!" Laurie almost yelled, catching them off-guard. "You just do as I say."
They looked at the open threshold. They stood almost still, just waiting to move till they see any shape appearing. Laurie kept her eyes upfront, breathing both long and short. Behind her, Mike and El could only stay close.
"El," Mike said as he faced her and held her shoulders. "Don't be afraid."
"Mike," El sniffed. "I… I never wanted… I didn't want this to…"
The boy leaned in and kissed her bloodstain lips. El was surprised, and she yielded to his kiss. They both felt the sweet softness of each other's lips. The joy they both felt was so sweet in the darkest hour they were in.
Laurie looked at the young couple, and the Strode had a smile on her lips. She was going to go down… no doubt fighting… and the image of love… may be the best thing that stood out during this dark night.
Mike and El broke their kiss at the sound of heavy breathing. They glanced at the threshold of the room—and there stood Michael.
The Shape watched from outside the window Judith kissing her boyfriend, as they both sat on the couch in the living room.
"We are alone, are we?" Daniel asked, as they the two broke away.
"Michael's around here, somewhere…" Judith said.
Daniel then put on a clown mask and nestled his face against Judith's cheek, making kissing sounds that made the teen girl giggle.
The clown mask belonged to Michael.
"Take off that thing!" Judith giggled, and Daniel consented, before kissing her a couple more times.
"Let's go upstairs," He said.
"Okay," Judith smiled as they both rose from the couch to leave the room, not before her boyfriend through the clown mask to the floor so carelessly.
The memory was triggered when the Shape saw El and Mike kiss just as he stood at the threshold of the room they were in. The way the telekinetic girl and her boyfriend locked lips and even held each other with such tenderness… was almost parallel with what he had witnessed as a child. Except… the emotion he saw before him… was far purer than what Judith had… something that he…
The Shape felt piece inside of him… snap.
He gripped the spiked bat in his hand tight, while his three remaining fingers on his left squeezed the bloody scissors.
He then breathed loud and hard.
The three turned in horror at the sight of the Shape staring at them. Mike and El held each other close, while coming forward in front of them… was Laurie Strode.
"Hello Michael…" The woman glared at him. "What took you so long?"
The Shape tilted his head at her, and he stepped forward inside; not taking his eyes off of the woman he met seven years ago.
He had never forgotten her, just as she had not forgotten him. They still held the scars they had dealt each other since that fateful night. While he had given her very few physical scars, the worst ones were dealt on her spirit. It was when he had tried to force her to meet with death early, just as he had forced it on her friends that night.
Laurie raised her knife in her defense, all the while gritting her teeth and standing as a barrier between the Shape and the teens. "Stay behind me."
The Shape tilted his head at the only weapon she had. He then looked at the weapons he had in both hands. He then decided… as he tossed Steve's spiked bat to the floor. He took the scissors in his right hand.
Both the Shape and the Strode woman glared. The air was growing thick between them.
Then the Shape charged.
(Halloween 2018 OST – Laurie and the Shape Fight)
El and Mike cried out when the Shape made a slash at Laurie, but the woman dodged it.
The Shape and Laurie started to circle each other like wolves, even Laurie started to snarl like one. She made a swipe of her knife at him, but the Shape dodged. The Shape made a swipe of his scissors which Laurie barely dodged. They circled again, and then the Shape went to make big lounge at her with his scissors which Laurie was able to dodge again and move past him. She took the opportunity to stab at him.
She raised her knife high and went to bring it down…
Then it stopped.
The Shape had grabbed her arm with his maimed hand. Mike and El froze in shock, as was Laurie. The Shape took the moment to gaze into her face, and he tilted his head. He then raised his scissors…
SLASH!
Laurie cried out when she raised her arm as a shield and the scissors managed to slash at her shoulder. The same shoulder he had slashed seven years ago.
The Shape then pummeled her stomach with his fist, and Laurie felt a loss of air. The Shape kicked her back and he raised their scissors to bring it down her.
"NO!" Laurie cried out and she caught his hands. "NO!" She grunted as she was now caught in a duel of might, as she did all she could to stop Michael from being down the scissor's blade towards her chest. Laurie looked again at Michael's face. It was the face that haunted her in her dreams. The face that changed her life forever. And ironically… it wasn't his real face at all.
He felt stronger than before. And he was breaking through Laurie's might and itching the blades closer to the area under her chin. He had waited for this for seven years.
Laurie gritted her teeth and glared once more at Michael Myers. "Do it. DOOO ITTTT!"
SLASH!
Laurie fell back and she didn't feel the scissor's blades pierce her. She saw Michael now clutching to the side of his mask, where it was bleeding. Where left ear would be.
She looked up to see Mike had picked up her large knife, which was stained with blood. The boy had slashed at Michael's side, and no doubt had cut through his ear.
"What is wrong with you?!" Mike questioned with fury in his eyes. "YOU FREAKIN PSYCHOPATH!"
Mike raised the knife to strike again, but Michael stopped the same he stopped Laurie. Everyone gasped at this; the cut ear he had didn't stop him. It only pissed him off.
The Shape went throw the knife from Mike, and he went to grab the boy by the throat and lifted him the air.
"NO!" Laurie cried out from the floor.
"DAH!" Mike tried pounding against Michael; now the boy felt his feet were far above the ground. The Shape pressed his fingers against his throat, and the boy started going purple. The thing he was seeing was the Shape's impassive face staring at him.
"STOP IT!" El cried out. "STOP IT, MICHAEL!"
The Shape then paused. He slowly turned from Mike to Eleven.
The girl sniffed and gulped when the Shape's gaze fell on her.
"I'm here…" She held her hands out. "I'm the one you want. Please… no more."
"No!" Mike choked out protest. "El…"
The Shape dropped Mike to the ground, and he focused all his attention of El. The Shape slowly walked towards the girl clad in her hospital gown. El started to back up until she felt the wall behind her.
The Shape stopped only a few inches from her.
Hopper grunted as put a hand on the wall to heave himself up.
"Dah!" Hopper turned to see Robin and Steve kneeling in front of Billy, the mullet had just crashed through a window, and there were cuts on his arms and had cut parts of his costume. "D*mn…"
"Yeah, d*mn," Steve quipped, holding his arm. "You're lucky you didn't got glass cut in your face."
"Heh," Billy almost smirked. "You were hopping my pretty face would get cut for your sake, Harring—AHH!"
Billy cried out when Robin pulled out the piece of glass in his arm.
"Damn, Robin…" Steve said, impressed.
"Don't celebrate yet, unless you want your arm to get possible infection." Robin said, before she ripped a piece of Billy's gi to quickly wrap around the cut.
"Hey!" Billy protested.
"Shut it, Hargrove…" Steve said. "We'll buy you another pajama set."
Billy was about to grunt annoyingly, when…
"Darh…" Jonathan grunted as sat not far behind them. His leg had been wrapped in a cloth, yet it didn't mean the guy could stand up and walk.
"Take it easy, Jonathan." Steve said.
"Must…" Jonathan grunted. "Will… Nancy…"
"We'll get them," Robin said. "We just need to…"
"Ugh…" The three turned to see Hopper trying to pull himself up.
"Chief!" Steve exclaimed as he, Robin, and Billy rushed to his side.
"You okay, sir?" Robin asked.
Hopper nodded. "Joyce…" They understood and they helped the man down the hall. They then came upon a sight.
"Oh, my G*d…" Steve gasped, as did Robin.
"Holy sh*t…" Billy said.
"Billy!" Max rushed toward her stepbrother. "Oh, my G*d, you're…"
"Dustin?" Steve said as he saw the Henderson boy kneeling over a girl's form. "Nancy? Nancy!" The former jock rushed towards his friend and his former girlfriend, who was regaining consciousness.
"Steve…" Nancy said as she opened her eyes.
"It's us, Nancy," Dustin said as he and Steve smiled.
"Hopper…" Joyce sniffed as Hopper kneeled next to her in front of Will. "I… don't…"
Hopper put a finger under Will's neck. "He still has a pulse. He's got to be in shock." Shock of course, but hell. Hopper was beyond appalled by the slashes on Will's face. Will. Oh, G*d. Why? Hopper saw the chunked rifle on the ground, and presumed Will kept firing on Michael, until…
That bastard.
"Hopper!" Everyone looked to see Dr. Loomis leaning against the wall with Lucas trying to help. "He's gone after them! He's gone after Laurie. Mike. And El!"
No. Jim thought. You got to be kidding me.
"You got to go." Hopper said looking at Joyce. "Take Will and get Jonathan. Get the kids out of here and into the parking lot. As far as you have to."
"But what about you?" Joyce asked, looking worried.
"I'm going after El and the others." Hopper said, with every ounce of determination.
"Not by yourself, Chief!" Max said.
"You kids are getting out of here! Right now!" Hopper bellowed.
"But Mike!" Lucas protested. "And El!"
"And what about Laurie?!" Dustin said.
"I'm not letting another kid down!" Hopper yelled, and he gestured at Will. The kids looked down and understood.
"Robin…" He looked at the girl. "Get outside and be with them."
"But…" Robin wanted to protest.
"You shown you're good with tending injuries. Be there for them before the authorities arrive. Owens won't be far behind."
"Chief…" Loomis said, and the man with every ounce of will stood himself up. "I'm coming as well."
"Hey!" Steve said as he came towards the doctor. "Easy there, doc."
"No," Hopper shook his head. "Loomis, you can't…"
"This pain means nothing to me, JIM HOPPER!" The doctor yelled, catching Hopper silent. "This wound in my side is nothing compared to what I feel in my heart! What I have left! I cannot stay behind… not until… I know they are safe!" Loomis took a breath. "Laurie is in danger! And so are El and Mike! The same danger that has been plaguing us all these years. You want to save your daughter… then help me save Laurie as well."
Hopper almost froze at the look the man was giving him. Sometimes… Hopper had seen that same look… in the mirror. That look… when he thought about Sara and El… and how much they meant to him. And that meant… for Sam Loomis…
He had been cut with the scalpel… but there was no doubt it would not stop him from following after them.
"You got to be kidding…" Hopper sighed. He would have no choice but to…
"Count me in as well," Steve said.
"What?" Nancy said.
"No, Steve!" Dustin protested, his eyes now brimming with worry.
"It's my job!" Steve said. "It's what you trusted me with." He looked at Hopper. "And besides…" He looked at Dustin and Nancy with a sort of smile. "I'm the babysitter, right?"
Both Nancy and Dustin froze in awe. And so did Hopper. There was no trace of school jock from before… he was different. Steve was not only a babysitter for Dustin. He felt responsible for the members of the party. And that included Mike and El.
"Oh, what the hell…" Hopper shook his head. Very well then.
"Are you guys forgetting something?" Billy asked, interrupting the moment. "You don't have weapons!"
"Steve, he took your bat," Lucas said with grimace, remembering seeing the Shape picking up the spiked bat.
"Then it's time to make do…" Hopper said as he picked up a metal pole from the floor, before turning everyone, except Loomis and Steve. "Go now… we'll be right behind you."
This was it. What looked like the final send off. Joyce and the teens could only look with rising emotions—that this would be the moment before the 50/50 outcome that the three before—as well Mike, El, and Laurie—will come back to them safely.
"Hopper!" Joyce called out, and the Chief turned back to meet her gaze. This may be… no, she couldn't think that otherwise… but wouldn't this be the best moment to…
"Come back…" Joyce gulped. "Come back safely."
Hopper nodded. "I will." He then looked to Steve and Loomis, both of them nodded. "We will." With that, the three of them advanced down the hall.
Joyce felt at lost of words. Why was it starting to feel like déjà vu… from last year.
"Hey, it's okay. It's gonna be okay." Bob said when he hugged her. "Remember, Bob Newby, superhero."
Why did she felt like it was going to happen again? Something worse.
(Halloween Kills OST – Unkillable at 2:35)
El gazed up at the towering man in front of her, as the Shape looked down at her with his pale ruined mask. His white masked caked with splatters of blood, and his left side was a ruin. The left side had been burnt by the fire at the cabin, giving it crispy black patches and had burnt off part of the fake brown hair. His left eyehole was bleeding out fresh blood from where Max stabbed him. He was a towering specter that looked as if he had been through war and hell.
The Shape breathed long and hard in front of El, and the girl tried not shake or lose composure in front of him. He was a rabid animal—ready to strike her at any moment he pleased.
The Shape tilted his head at her, still observing the girl in front of him. He lifted his right hand up in front of her, and he pulled at the sleeve of it to reveal an imprint on his wrist.
031.
El's eyes widened, and she remembered.
She lifted her left wrist next to his wrist to show her imprinted tattoo as well.
011.
The numbers on their wrists that were now next to one another. The numbers that symbolized the connection they had. The symbol… of their past… in the lab. Their past also with Martin Brenner, the man responsible.
The Shape looked at El again, and he lifted his hand towards her. El almost shifted afraid, but Michael's hand went instead to grasp her shoulder-length hair. El gasped at this.
Michael still let his fingers feel through her hair—remembering a time when it was once blonde like his before Brenner had both of their heads shaved to a stubble.
El looked at Michael again and peered at his remaining good eye. That was when she saw it again. Darkness. A darkness ready… to swallow her up… and destroy everything around her.
And so… El knew… she had no choice…
El shot her hand up and poked at Michael's left bleeding eyehole. The Shape grunted, giving the girl a chance to run for it. The Shape made a growl and managed to grab El and shoved her to the ground. The Shape quickly straddled over her and placed his hands over her throat.
"LET ME GO! LET ME GO, MICHAEL!" El gritted her teeth as she tried to squirm. "Let me…" El gasped when she felt Michael pressing thumbs against her throat. The Shape leaned his head toward her, and he seemed taken by anger…
"GET OFF HER!" Michael yelled as he tackled Michael from behind, causing him to let go of a shocked El. "GET-OFF—"
The Shape growled and pulled out the scissors and made a jab to his side.
Mike cried out in pain when Michael jabbed the scissors into his side. The Shape jabbed him again, and Mike cried out again.
With a tug of his hand—Mike Wheeler pulled the mask off of Michael's Myers's face.
There came a horrid shriek, and Michael quickly placed his hands over his face, and he backed away, causing Michael to fall to the ground with the mask.
"MIKE!" El cried out, at seeing him hurt. Even Laurie, who was starting to lift her head from the ground, looked in shock at what Mike just did.
El glanced at Michael who backed away with his hands still clinging to his face, as if the man was in dire pain.
Slowly, very slowly, Michael recoiled both hands from his face… slowly revealing his true face.
(Halloween 2018 OST – The Shape Hunts Allyson)
El, Laurie, and Mike looked in awe at the sight of Michael's true face. The face that had been hidden from this all this time by a pale face of plastic. Laurie grimaced at the sight of it. She had not seen that face for a long time. The first time she had seen it… she had been the one to lift the mask from his face… when he had tried to strangle her at the Doyle house. Before he was shot six times by Loomis.
Michael slid his hands down from his face, and his eye widened with shock. He felt his hands over his face again, realizing his face was indeed unmasked.
He glanced at El, whose eyes widened at the sight, he even glanced at Laurie, who glared at him. His gaze finally fell upon Mike, and his face turned to one of anger… and hate.
Mike held his side and made a spit at the Shape. "Not… not as scary without your mask… right?" He held the mask up. "You want your mask? COME AND GET IT!"
The Shape gripped his hands tight as he glared at the boy. The two were at a standoff in the bleak room, with El and Laurie on the ground. Mike gritted his teeth at the man. Although Michael kept a stoic expression on his face, there was no doubt the Shape was burning with malice towards the boy.
Instantly, Mike threw the mask at Michael, distracting him. Mike dashed towards the jackpot weapon: Steve's bat.
Before Michael could put his mask back on, Mike yelled as he hit Michael with Steve's bat. The Shape crouched down at the pain of spiked nails again. Mike almost grinned and went to him again, as El and Laurie looked in shock.
Michael kneeled on all fours, and then looked to see what was in front of him on the floor.
"YAAH!" Mike yelled again as he went to raise the bat again to bring it down, then he stumbled when he felt the pain at his side. He placed a hand to his side to press again the pain. The boy went to bring the bat down with only his right hand. Michael anticipated this and he swiped back quickly wielding Laurie's knife in an uppercut and…
SLASH!
And Mike Wheeler screamed at the excruciating pain.
"MIIIKKEEE!" El cried in complete horror.
Laurie from her positions froze… as if the world had lost a chunk of itself. Soon, her shock turned into horror.
Mike kept screaming at the worst he had ever felt—as he held unto the stump that was once his right hand.
Michael held the bloody knife over Mike… having just… disarmed him.
Michael… Laurie thought. You sadistic…
Mike kneeled down, still clutching his arm, and he looked up at Michael. With his mask off, the boy could sense behind the Shape's face of flesh and blood, there was force menace and malice—and it was jeering a glare towards him.
Michael turned and leaned to pick up his mask, and soon it was placed back over his naked face. The Shape breathed hard again through the mask. He then looked Steve's bat—still grasping its wooden hilt—was a displaced hand.
The Shape went over to it, he shook off the hand with indifference, before wielding the bat once again—his gaze directed again to Mike
"No… No!" El cried out in horror. "Michael, please don't!"
Mike realized what Michael was about to do, and the boy tried to get up and scurry away. The Shape walked in front of him with the bat in hand, and he lifted his foot up…
CRUNCH!
Mike cried out in great pain when Michael stomped his foot on his ankle. The pain was excruciating.
"NO!" Laurie yelled.
"MIKE!" El cried.
Mike couldn't stop the tears from streaming out of his eyes. The pain… all around him. He looked to see Michael looking at him with an unreadable expression. The Shape said nothing else and raised the bat high. The bloody nail-spike bat…
"No…" El whimpered. "No…"
"No!" Laurie cried out.
Mike didn't have much strength to get up and run. All he could do was…
El was frozen. She felt numb. She couldn't feel anything else. Seeing Mike going through this pain. This unimaginable pain… all inflicted by Michael. Her friends having been hurt by this… this…
All her feelings of pain… for them. All of them coming in and fuzzing all around her brain to take in.
The girl fidgeted. She grunted. She started shaking… before she paused.
Then she snapped.
"Arrr—RAAAHHHHHA!" El roared like a beast, and her voice bellowed throughout the whole room, causing Michael and Laurie to glance at her.
The girl stretched out her arm and made a swipe.
Instantly, Michael was flung to the wall opposite of her.
"MICHAEL!" The telekinetic girl growled in a tone—that was almost inhuman of her. "YOU ARE F*CKING DEAD!"
El roared again, and she brought Michael down to the ground with a crack. She lifted him up from the floor and into the ceiling before she brought him back again to the floor. She was not done, and she went to instantly flung him to the wall to her left. She continued to flung Michael up and down like a ping-pong ball from floor-to ceiling-to wall.
She then made him dragged against the floor until he hit the wall again. Tiles quickly breaking out.
The Shape slowly tried to rise, and that angered El even more. The girl stretched out to the wall next to her, and it started to crack open. Blocks of bricks fell to the ground. She telekinetically lifted them in the air—before sending them rushing into Michael.
The first brick hit Michael in the shoulder. Then another in his chest. Finally, one hit his head. One after the other, more than 20 bricks hit him.
It wasn't enough. El stretched forth her hands at Michael. The Shape was being frozen in place, while El had a frozen cold look on her face.
She then made a tilt of her head.
CRACK!
CRACK!
The Shape moaned at the great pain as he stumbled down. El had broken both of Michael's legs. Not only breaking them, but also causing the bones to rupture. He wouldn't be walking for some time. It was right where she wanted him.
The Shape look ready to crawl with his hands. He shook his head, trying to regain his bearings.
That was when he heard a scream.
He reacted too late when El smacked him with a stray brick. The Shape fell back, and El picked up two separate bricks, being not done yet. The girl growled as she then straddled on the Shape and started hit him with both bricks in her hands back and forth.
CRACK!
CRACK!
The girl hit him again with a wildness and hatred she had never known. It far exceeded hatred she felt for others. For Papa. For the bad men. For Ray Carrol.
CRACK!
CRACK!
SQUISH!
El stopped and looked back at her work. Parts of the mask were torn up and showed parts of Michael's natural face. The mask no doubt covered the damaged that she had enforced with the bricks. That she had inflicted a number of bloody gashes on him.
"Why…" El started crying out. "Why… won't you die…?"
El almost screamed as she backed away from him. She then looked to her left, there was large piece of the brick wall that was around the size of a basketball.
And that gave her an idea.
A crazed look fell on her face, even when she herself was starting to get exhausted. It didn't matter to her. She had hate. All hate was for the Shape. She needed rid the thing before her.
The piece of brick was heavy, but she lifted over her head, nonetheless. She felt the corner of lips curl when she started to hover again over the Shape with the piece. The Shape tilted his head to see El lifting the piece up, just aiming to drop it on his head.
The girl was becoming hysterical at the imminent moment when the debris would fall on Michael's head, and it will…
"Heh… ha… haha… ha… ha. Ha. Ha!" The hysteria was taking over as El felt like laughing. Just one release of both hands… and gravity will do the rest when the brick pile falls on his head. Gravity… all it took was one push and then…
"El…" Mike said.
El froze and stopped before she could do it. She turned around… and saw Mike, who now had a broken bloody arm, bleeding wound on his side, and sprained ankle. The boy was practically dragging himself towards her with his only good arm.
The boy looked at his girlfriend… with a pleading look.
"Don't…" Mike breathed out. "Don't… don't… not like this. Don't… be like him…"
At that… El's heart stopped.
The girl then dropped the piece of brick, and it fell breaking on impact to the ground, harmlessly next to Michael. El looked at her hands, which were already caked in blood. Michael's blood… on her hands.
The girl felt numb, and she started shaking. She could feel the tears coming out. The girl made a cry of anguish in the air, not only for what she had inflicted—but what she had been about to do—and she had even laughed about it.
She had let rage get to her again and had unleashed on Michael. While he more than deserved it… just looking at him now… with how bloody and torn he was… it hurt El to know she was capable of such butchery… as he was.
El then felt something strange… in the pit of her stomach. The girl looked down… to see she had been stabbed with a rebar from the debris—by Michael.
Outside, Joyce, Robin, Billy, Max, Lucas, Dustin, Nancy, and Jonathan had arrived safely, all while the mullet carried the still unconscious Will.
"Damn…" Billy commented as he set Will down, he didn't a kid would have the guts to pull with slashes on the face like that.
"He's gonna be alright, right?" Jonathan said when Nancy laid him on the ground, but the photographer made effort crawl towards his brother. He was spilling tears in his eyes at the sight of his brother's face. "He's gotta be…"
"He will be." Joyce said, before looking preciously at her boy. "You will be alright, sweetie." She sniffed. "You just… have to wake up…"
"This is insane," Robin said looked back at the entrance they came from.
"Hopper said Owens was not far behind," Dustin said. "That means…"
"They should have been here hours ago!" Nancy exclaimed. "If so, we wouldn't have to gone through this!"
"And by the time they get here," Lucas said, worried. "It will be too late…"
"We can't think that!" Max said. "They have to make it, but…" The redhead was at loss for words.
Here they were in the chilling air of autumn in the quiet parking lot, when the entrance of the hospital had been an exploding inferno when the car crash through and exploded. Some of them were still injured, and were waiting to goodness knows how long till help gets here—but what about help for their friends still inside—with Michael?
"Keep more pressure on that," Robin said to Nancy, before the blonde rose up—turning towards the entrance again.
"Robin, where are you going?!" Nancy exclaimed.
"To help!" Robin said, before her wrist was grabbed by Billy.
"Are you nuts?" Billy said. "What are you gonna do? You'll get…"
"I don't care!" Robin yelled. "I don't care if I get cut, crush, or whatever. Steve's there! Hopper's in there! Our friends are in there! And I'm not going to stand out here like a coward when I can do something!"
Billy froze at what she said, he unintentionally loosened his grip on her, which allowed to break free and made for the entrance.
"Robin!" Dustin cried out.
"She can't go alone!" Lucas said.
"But she'll have Hopper and the others…" Max tried saying.
"Against Michael?" Nancy said.
Billy was still frozen after what Robin said.
Coward. Was it possible she was referring to him?
She was a girl. Well, a recently turned adult, yet letting her go back by herself… into that hellhole?
It made sense since it was Harrington and the rest she cared about, not…
Why would Billy care?
Would make sense to stay outside with the others, and watch over Max till their parents come…
But Billy couldn't think straight.
He remembered Derek and Ken's bodies… just the day before. And how they became charred crisps when the station blew up.
Then there was Heather. Her eyes pleading to him when barely got to the window—before her throat was slashed.
And no doubt… Tommy H. and Carol were already…
Then he remembered Laurie… and El… and Mike…
"Can make sure to tell Mike to come home, and not too late?" Karen Wheeler had smiled to him just a year ago.
Damn it! Why the hell was he thinking this.
Just stay here where it was safe… watch over Max… and it would be…
Damn it.
No. Billy thought.
Don't think about it.
They can handle it…
No… not Michael. He was…
And if Michael succeeded… then that mean… they were next…
It was because of that *sshole… this whole sh*t happened.
Derek. Ken. Tommy H. Carol. Heather. Those officers… they were dead.
He even kamikazed his own Camaro. His blue Camaro.
And he came close to killing…
He didn't understand these feelings he was having. But with a snap… Billy made a decision.
"ELLLL!" Mike cried out.
The Shape breathed long and hard as he pulled the metal rebar out of her stomach. The girl looked at Michael dumbfounded. The Shape could only stare at her. El staggard back, feeling the pain taking its course. She then fell to the ground on her back.
"El…" The pain that had been inflicted on him physically, was least compared to the blow he felt in his heart after what he saw unfurl in front of him. "Rragh…" The boy grunted with tears ready to erupt. "No…" The boy practically crawled with one arm and one knee towards El.
It was then he managed to kneel beside her, and his froze at the sight of her.
El laid on her back. Her face evident of great exhaustion and stress. The hospital gown she had been wearing looked worn and torn in some places. But just below, in the stomach area… was a great circle around the bleeding wound that was still pouring out.
"El…" Mike croaked out, and the boy could not stop of the water from pouring out from his eyes.
The telekinetic girl's eyes slowly went to face of the boy she loved. Feelings of pain and high emotion ran through her, from the pain in her stomach, and Mike's eyes meeting her.
"M… M-Mike…" She breathed out.
"El…" Mike slid his left hand under neck, while he pressed his bleeding stump to his chest. "Oh… El… I'm sorry…"
The boy then heard the ragged breathing again, and he turned his ahead… at the Shape.
The Shape slowly kneeled up almost hanging head down like a hunchback, before lifting it up straight. Both of his legs broken kneeling was all he could do. His stare then fell to Mike and El on the ground in front of him.
"You…" Mike gritted his teeth, his hate exceeding the pain. "You… evil… evil…"
The Shape only tilted his head slightly. He lifted the bloody rebar in his hand… now ready to end their lives once and…
BANG!
The room went quiet after the racket-sound of a bullet firing. Mike's jaw dropped, and even El, while on the ground, her eyes widened.
Michael Myers stood still. And from the right-eyehole of his mask, the side of his remaining good eye—started bleeding. The Shape put a hand to his right side to confirm. Both eyeholes of his mask were now bleeding. The Shape was weeping tears of blood.
Mike turned his around—he then saw Hopper, Loomis, and Steve just entering the room—but neither of them had fired the shot—it had been Laurie.
The Strode woman held up Loomis's gun in her hands as she was in a kneeling position—having just aimed and fired at the Shape in the right eye. She had got his right eye—just as she had gotten his left eye with a coat hanger seven years ago.
Loomis looked speechless.
"Oh my…" Hopper said, wide-eyed.
"Holy sh*t…" Steve said.
The Shape cringed and he collapsed back.
Mike then fell on his back next to Eleven.
"You monster…" Laurie dropped the gun, and she turned her focus on the two teens on the ground. The Strode woman crawled in front of them, before she looked like she was about to cry. "No… no…" Tears streamed down her cheeks.
El looked up to see Laurie's face. "Laurie…"
Laurie started weep. "El, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry."
"Laurie…" Mike wheezed through the pain. "Please… get her…"
"Laurie?" Laurie turned to see Loomis, Hopper, and Steve. The three men first saw Mike, and what stood out was the bleeding stump.
All three of them gasped.
"Mike… Oh my G*D?!" Hopper gasped at the sight of Mike's maimed arm.
When Steve blinked again and realized it was real, he felt the urge to throw up, but didn't. "What… what… how…?"
"Michael…" Laurie croaked. "He did this… to him…"
"Oh, my G*d…" Loomis looked down in horror, feeling so much sympathy for the young. This boy he had come to respect and care along with the rest of the teens… being so young… and losing a hand—to Michael.
"Oh, my G*d, Mike…" Hopper could only feel unbelievable horror course through him. He then looked to his daughter, and the horror increased tenfold.
"No…" He shook his head as to what he was seeing. "No…" The Chief instantly kneeled in front of his daughter. The girl's stomach was becoming a puddle of red. "El…" The Chief felt his voice breaking. The girl's eyes were barely open. "No…" Hopper scooped her in his arms. "No, no, no, El! Stay with me!"
"Da…" The girl weakly at him.
"El…" Mike grunted. "Please…"
"What?!" Loomis asked.
"Help… her. Arr…"
"Try not to move!" Laurie said.
"You're gonna be alright, Mike!" Steve said, his tone fill worry also. The teen feeling the most uneasy at the fact his ex-girlfriend's brother was missing a…
"We have to get them out now!" Hopper practically yelled as he started to carry El in his arms.
"Hold him!" Loomis said to Steve, and the mullet scooped up battered boy in his arms. "They are losing blood! We have to get out now!" Loomis went to help Laurie up. "Laurie…"
"Sam!" Laurie stopped him. "Not yet!" She pointed back at Michael, who was trying to rise from the ground. The Shape started swinging the rebar aimlessly in the air, as he was practically blind.
They all glared at him, yet almost amazed at how he was now. The monster. The butcher. Not only tattered and bloody in so many places, but he was practically swinging his weapon aimlessly like a helpless baby. It was incomprehensible to see him as helpless. For what he had done and what he had just done now.
Steve recovered his bat and looked about ready to hit the Shape again.
"Steve, wait!" Hopper said, and the deputy stopped.
"Chief, you're not serious…"
"We know!" Laurie said. "But I got a better idea." They stopped and listened to what Laurie had to say. She then pointed to the gas cannisters near the wall, and then there was a gas tank near them.
They understood.
Mike and El were evacuated out of the room with Loomis and Laurie watching them outside the room; Hopper turned open one of the gas cannisters open—letting the gas out, as Steve drool leaks of gas around the room, and even some on Michael. The Shape grunted when he felt and smelled the substance dumped on him; it looked like it wanted to swipe his rebar at Steve but couldn't due to his now-crippled legs. Steve trailed the gas leak as he and Hopper left the room, glaring one more time at the Shape.
"I'll see you in hell." The chief growled one more insult at the Shape.
"Chief!" Robin shouted as she and Billy made it to where Laurie and Loomis were… with Mike and El…
"Oh, my G*D!" Robin cried at the sight of Mike and Eleven, both of them laying down… yet very grievously…
"What the hell happened?!" Billy exclaimed, and then his eyes moved to the Mike's arm. "Oh, my G*d!"
"It doesn't matter, they need help this instant!" Loomis cried out.
"They are both bleeding out!" Laurie said as she kneeled over them.
Robin went to kneel as well, and she looked over El's chest. "She needs to stop the bleeding…"
Then Hopper and Steve came out of the room, with the deputy trailing gasoline from a container, till they were further a ways from the room.
"What the hell are you doing?" Billy asked.
"Where's Michael?!" Robin asked.
"No time!" Steve finished with the trail. "I need a match! I lighter!"
"You mean this?" Everyone turned to see Billy pulling out his signature lighter. Just… exactly what they needed.
"Thank G*d for you, Mr. Hargrove!" Loomis said before snatching the lighter from the mullet's hands.
"Everybody get back!" Hopper yelled as he carried his daughter, while Billy went to pick up Mike with assistance from Robin, and they all made a way back as Dr. Loomis made a light from the lighter. The doctor looked at the trail of gasoline that went all the way to the room—where Michael—now blind and crippled was still was—with the cannisters leaking gas.
This was it. The moment Loomis had waited for. The mistake he had waited to rectify. He had a solemn look before holding the lighter over.
"It's time… Michael."
At that he let the lighter fall. It felt on the trail of gasoline, and started to light a stream of fire quick heading towards the room.
"GO! GO! GO!" Loomis yelled as he ran towards his friends—making distance from what would become… an inferno.
The fire from Billy's lighter went all the way to the room to where the Shape was still in. The fire made contact with the exposed gas, and then…
BOOM!
The wave of townspeople, military, and ambulances started to swarm the whole parking lot of Hawkins Memorial, bewildering Joyce, Max, Lucas, Dustin, Nancy, and Jonathan, as they watched over the unconscious yet injured Will.
A truck came up and coming out of it was Nurse Marion helping Owens out, behind them were Hoffman and Sartain. Then coming out of the vans around them were Owens' people, men with guns who began scouting the perimeter.
Owens and Marion saw their friends and walked towards them.
"Owens!" Joyce cried out.
"Joyce…" Owens said, and he looked to see Nancy still helping Jonathan with his leg, but he then paled when he saw something else: Will, who was lying on the ground unresponsive. "Oh, my G*d… Will?"
"It was Michael!" Lucas cried out.
Marion set Owens down before Will, and the man was horrified by the cuts on the boy's face.
"He cut him…" Joyce started crying again. "He cut my boy…"
Owens reddened at knowing Myers got to this boy. As if this young boy has not suffered enough in his life already. The man took his pulse and realized.
"He's in shock. He may…" Be scarred, but Owens didn't say. "But it won't be fatal." He looked at Jonathan and glanced at Marion. "Marion help Jonathan."
Marion nodded, and she went over the teen.
"Will he be alright?" Jonathan asked, the fact of his brother in pain hurt more than his leg.
"Don't worry," Marion said, before looking to the paramedics and doctors coming out of the ambulances. "HEY!" She beckoned with a wave of her hand.
As the paramedics rushed towards them, several families saw them from afar. Nancy saw them and recognized one of them.
"Mom?"
"NANCY!" Karen cried out as she carried Holly, while Ted carried Little Karen over. Both parents embraced their daughter, with Nancy starting to cry.
"Nancy…" Holly said.
"Oh, Holly…" Nancy cried as she embraced her younger sister.
"Where's Mommy…" Little Karen asked.
"Where's Mike?" Karen said, and Nancy glanced at her mom. "Nancy, where's Mike?"
"DUSTY!" Mrs. Henderson cried out as she ran towards her son.
"MOM!" Dustin hugged his mother.
"LUCAS!" Lucas's parents came towards him.
"Mom, Dad!" Lucas said.
"Lucas Charles Sinclair…" Erica said as she stepped in front of her brother. "You are so in—"
"Max!" Max turned in shock to see her mom and Neil rushing towards her. The red-haired woman hugged her red-haired daughter so desperately.
"Mom…" Max couldn't help but hug back.
"Where were you?!" Neil asked. "And where's your brother?"
Max froze a bit, knowing they were not going to like the answer.
"Boys!" Scott Clarke said as he came rushing towards them.
"Mr. Clarke!" Both Dustin and Lucas rushed to hug the man.
"My goodness…" He hugged them back. "Wait… where's…" The man froze… when he then noticed just a few feet away… the student he noticed was missing… was now lying on the ground… his face bleeding from the cuts. "Wha…" The man froze at the sight of Will. "Oh, my…"
"Will? Oh, my G*d!" Karen cried in horror, as did Mrs. Sinclair.
"Jonathan?" Ted noticed his daughter's boyfriend injured, as Marion and a few doctors looked over him.
"Okay…" Neil said, being disturbed by what he was seeing. "What the hell is happening?"
"Nancy…" Karen faced her daughter. "Where's Mike? Where's your brother?"
Nancy could see the desperation in her mother's eyes, and the girl wish wished she had the answer. She turned to the entrance of the hospital—and then noticed something.
The hospital doors opened.
"HELP!" Steve Harrington cried as he and Robin were the first ones out. "WE NEED HELP!"
"PLEASE!" Robin cried out, with the same tone of desperation matching Steve's.
After, coming out was Laurie, who helping Loomis with the wound he still had.
"MOMMY!" Little Karen cried out, and the little girl ran out towards her mother. Karen and Ted looked in shock at the state Laurie and Loomis were in. Were they attacked as well? Both Owens and Marion saw them, and they smiled with relief at the sight of their two closest friends still alive.
Laurie almost chocked at the sight of her daughter running towards her and Loomis. It felt like a lifetime since she had last seen her daughter, after so much that had happened. Both Laurie and Loomis kneeled down, and Little Karen jumped into Laurie's arms. Both of them cried, and Loomis looked with sympathy and almost joy.
"I… I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" Little Karen cried as she buried her face in the crook of Laurie's neck.
The mother went to place multiple kisses on her daughter's face, before she leaned her forehead against hers. "And I missed you… I mean it with every ounce of my heart."
Loomis smiled at this, and he placed a hand on Little Karen's shoulder, and the little girl turned at him. "Uncle Sam…" The man smiled weakly with aching pain at his side. "Are you okay?" The little girl said concerned.
Loomis nonetheless smiled. "I'm alright, child… I'm not… the one that you need to be worried about the most."
"Laurie?" The three turned to see the Wheeler family now approaching, with worry in their eyes. "Where's Mike?" Karen asked.
"Laurie…" Nancy asked, worried as well.
Before they could answer… there came a cry.
(Play the song: The Sound of Silence – Disturbed)
"HELP!" Everyone in the area turned at the last people coming out of the doors… and they froze to see who it was: a bruised-face Chief Jim Hopper carrying El in blood-soaked almost-torn hospital gown; her head hanging back. Next to the Chief was Billy Hargrove with several cuts over his skin and gi… all the while carrying a battered Mike Wheeler—who was bleeding from both his stump and side.
The military and hospital staff froze at the sight of them. The townspeople also. Even Kline, Bruce, Hoffman, and Sartain were frozen with confusion. The other townspeople comprised of neighbors who known them were feeling numb as well. Among them kids still in their costumes, who had gone to school with Mike—their own classmate now… now… why was he looking…
Neighbors and adult friends of the Wheelers had their jaws dropped, and some of them lifted their hands to cover them.
Scott Clarke could only stand barely speechless. One of his brightest students… one of his prodigy… was…
The kids froze at the sight… of their two beloved friends. Both of them being carried… and bloody…
"Is that… is that Jim… and…" Ted almost stuttered as he saw the police chief carrying his injured daughter, who was also his son's girlfriend.
Karen looked to the other… it was Billy. Billy Hargrove. She almost froze. Seeing him here of all places. And of all people… he was carrying…
"Oh, my G*d…" She then croaked, as every nerve in her body froze before going high at what she was seeing. "Mike…"
"MIKE!" Nancy screamed.
"MIKE!" Dustin and Lucas yelled in horror.
"Oh, my G*d…" Max said in horror, not only of Mike, but also Eleven. "El…"
Scott Clarke stood in his place. First Will. Now… he saw Mike bleeding as well as another girl in her dad's arms. He could barely move, as his face twinged to one of shock… and horror. "It… it can't…"
"MICHAEL!" Karen cried out as she and Ted dashed towards them. "What happened?!" She looked to Hopper's face instead of Billy's. "What happened to them?! What happened to my son?!"
"THEY NEED HELP NOW?!" Robin yelled.
"What are you waiting for?!" Loomis yelled as he stood up and faced the remaining medic staff of the Hawkins Memorial. "ARE YOU BLIND! GET OVER HERE!"
The medics scrambled towards them.
Stretchers were brough out and they were put under Mike and El as they laid on the ground. They were just a meter away from Will.
"Billy!" Neil said as he and Susan approached the mullet. "What the hell happened to you?!"
"What happened?!" Karen cried as the medics gathered around her son and his girlfriend. "WHO DID THIS?! WHO DID THIS TO MY SON?!"
"Oh, my G*d…" A medic said as he looked over Mike, at the stump that was once his hand. "What did this?"
"PLEASE!" Hopper shouted, feeling tears in his eyes. "SAVE THEM!" He stopped a bit. "Just save them…" Joyce came close to him, and she looked at the two with horror.
"She's losing blood!" A woman said over El's wound. "If this keeps up, she'll be…"
"They're both losing blood!" The medic over Mike yelled, pointing at the boy's bleeding side.
"Get the bandages!" Laurie said. "Cauterize the wounds!"
"Doctor?" A medic came over Loomis. "We'll have to look over your inj—"
"FORGET ABOUT ME!" Loomis yelled as he shrugged the medic off him. "Save them!" He pointed desperately towards Mike and El. "Give them everything you have!"
The doctors went against a clock while going over Mike and El's bleeding. Their friends watch as they kneeled near them, their eyes on the verge of spilling tears.
"Mike…" Max croaked. "El…"
"You're gonna be alright…" Dustin said, trying to muster a forced smile. "You have to be… you…"
"Yeah! Like Dustin says… because…" Lucas grunted to say the next word, but barely could. "Because if… you do… if you don't…"
Steve Harrington grappled his hands to his head, almost wanting to turn away from the sight. "No…" He gritted his teeth. "Mike… El…" He wasn't close to them as Dustin was, but nonetheless… "Don't you dare! You can't… dargh!" Robin came near as she put a hand on his shoulder, as she watched the scene with her eyes on the verge of tears. The sadness the former band geek was feeling… she never thought…
Billy couldn't muster the courage to look at them. He felt his eyes starting to wet. How could he be feeling this? For two kids like them? Were they really his friends? How could they? How could…
It began when they sat in a room together in a hospital discussing the truth of New Coke. How causal and friendly they were. And El. How he and Lucas risked their lives to save her? And how… how instincts took over… causing him to go with Robin back into the hospital to save them? How… how could… a bully? He was a bully. He was supposed to be. It was cemented the day his mother left and never came back. But… after… with them…
He was too weak to stop the tears.
Nancy embraced Jonathan, who hugged her back with tears as well. Paralleling how she hugged him to comfort him when being forced to have Will suffer through the heat in order to expel the Mind Flayer out of him. Now Will was unconscious—and Nancy's brother—and Eleven's life was now on the line.
Dustin, Max, and Lucas were then embraced by their parents, as the three couldn't bare the sight before them. Two of their best friends… were…
"You're gonna be okay, kid…" Hopper didn't bother to let the tears pour out as he kneeled in front of his daughter. To Jim Hopper it felt like a memory. A memory that has and always had haunted him. A memory that had taken place… but seven years ago. In New York. Standing while hugging Diane while the doctors did their best on the dying girl on the hospital bed…
"You gotta be!" Hopper croaked out. "You gotta…" He couldn't help it. And it could barely be helped when Joyce hugged him, the woman too crying at the sight of the two teens on the ground.
And it wasn't only their closest loved ones watching… so did almost half of the town of the Hawkins were witnessing it. Kids still in their costumes, while clutching to their parents and families as they gathered around, almost all of them heartbroken and crying at the sight. Some of them didn't know Mike Wheeler, much less the girl that was fighting for life beside him—the girl he loved.
Larry had stood back confused, clutching his bleeding nose, confused on what the hell was going on, all the while his wife, Winnie, and Candance looked closely and were both horrified. Reed and Tina held each other close, the latter horrified and almost crying for Nancy's brother. Charlie looked both horrified and helpless, even more so when he had stumbled onto the horrifying scene in Carol's house. Bruce tried to get himself closer but couldn't by the many people in front of him. Gummell, Hoffman, and Sartain stood petrified at the sight and almost felt hollow. Even Tom and Janet, the former not long ago a vessel full of rage, and yet at the sight of seeing his employee's brother, and… what appeared to be a girl very dear to Jim Hopper, he and Janet could only feel the same as when they learned their daughter—Heather was gone. Owens and Marion were closer, the latter holding a hand to mouth, ready to spill out tears, while the former Hawkins Director felt ready to do the same.
"El!" Laurie kneeled in front of Mike and El's faces as the medics continued working on them. "Mike!" The woman was crying now. It had been so long since she had shed tears of grief. "You are both going to make it! You have to! We did it! The Boogeyman is gone. He's finally gone. And…" She sniffled. "We made it. We made it. Just… don't. Please, don't…"
She couldn't lose them. She had vowed to protect them, just as she had protected Tommy Doyle and Lindsey Wallace many years ago. If she could protect Tommy and Lindsey… why couldn't it be so with Mike and El? They… as well as everyone she has befriended in Hawkins… have come to mean to her as Loomis and Little Karen were to her. Just as Annie, Lynda, and Bob did.
El opened her eyes weakly. "The boogey… man… he… he's dead…" Her voice was like a whisper. One Mike managed to hear.
"El…" Mike said weakly as well, feeling the pain coursing through him. "We… did… it. He's… gone, and we…"
"I'm losing her!" The medic over El exclaimed in horror. "I'm losing her!"
At those words… everyone around them: family, friend, comrade, neighbor, and fellow townsfolk looked on in horror and on the verge of great heartbreak. In a few moments it would be decided… if either life would be saved… or it would perish.
"El…" Mike felt the tears spilling out. If only he could reach for her hand… with his one good hand. "Hang in… there." He saw El almost on the verge of sleep. A sleep she may never wake up from. "Please… don't. I… I can't… I can't live without you. El… I can't live without you. I… I lo…"
At that… El Hopper shed a tear… before the sound… of silence.
There…
Well, there…
If you think this is it… there's just one more chapter left… and then we'll see the aftermath!
I know, I know. Love it, cry at it, or get angry. I waited to this chapter since the very start.
I loved so much visioning last all-emotional scene with the "The Sound of Silence" from the band 'Disturbed.' And having almost all of Hawkins witnessing it!
I am so sorry for keeping you all waiting so long for this chapter, only to now have another cliffhanger, but don't worry, there's one more chapter to bring closure for this installment.
Soon, it will be about time to get back into the Halloween spirit! And it is coming the next installment of the Boogeyman.
I can't wait to get started on the next chapter, and it will… oh, I can't describe the emotions! Oh, man! This has been a very long October 31st of 1985! Far different than one seen in Season 2 during 1984!
If one summer can change everything… why not one Halloween as well?
I'll see you then!
