Chapter 0
March 20, 1938
"The Pepsodent Company presents Mickey Mouse."
"Eheh, Hi Folks!" Mickey said, as he followed the script of their on air opener.
"With Minnie, Donald Duck, and all the Disney gang," John continued, as the song "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" played on behind his voice.
"It's Mickey's show and today we've-"
"Huh? What's going on?" Minnie cried out as whirlwind started about in the studio, about to take her hat off.
"Hey, what's the meaning of this!?" Goofy asked, as he felt himself being lifted out of the chair he sat in.
"Put me down! Put me down I say!" Donald ordered as he was lifted up as well.
The two found themselves being brought over to the side of the recording studio where Mickey and Minnie sat, holding onto their chairs so they wouldn't be taken away themselves.
The wind dropped the two out of the air as the magic mirror appeared in front of them.
"Huh? What's going on?" Mickey asked, surprised. "I didn't summon you."
"Ny, thy did nothing, nor have I control of my own being," the slave of the mirror reported. "Something is amiss! For I..." The slave in the mirror phased out due to something beyond his control.
"Slave!?" Mickey asked, concerned as he jumped up to look in the mirror. "Slave, where'd you go!?"
"Mickey Mouse, I have a message for thee," an older voice of the slave called out as the mirror rippled to show a mouse, gagged and bound in a wooden crate.
"Mickey! Why it's you!" Minnie gasped, recognizing the mouse through the bruises covering his face as the mouse looked up, finally getting the gag out of his mouth.
"Yes, it's me, or well, you," the mouse whispered from his binds. "I can't talk for long, Pete'll be back soon. Your mirror, it can still take you between worlds, right?"
"Well, yeah," Goofy said, nodding his head.
"I need you to get here," Mickey whispered, glancing towards his right as he leaned against the bonds holding his hands behind him and to the crate before looking back at them. "Who knows what they've done to the girls."
"If Pete's involved, it can't be good," John said, seeing the whole thing. "You all better get going to help them."
Mickey and Minnie got up and headed towards the mirror, only for the Mickey through the mirror to stop them. "No, not here. You'll never get out of the basement alive. Julius' convinced the other inmates to help them."
"Julius?" Minnie asked, wondering who he was.
"Find Oswald, he'll explain," Mickey tried, glancing towards his left in a panic. "See if you can get the Mirror to send you to the House of Mouse. The year you're aiming for is 2016."
"Mouse! Shut up!" a voice called down as footsteps were heard. "I thought I told you all down here to keep quiet."
"Mirror, leave! Before they get a hold of you," Mickey ordered, leaving them watching with the last look of Mickey with fear in his eyes.
The slave of the mirror was able to gain his control of his own portal, seeing his master and friends concerned faces.
"Well, Mickey, aren't we goin'?" Goofy asked, looking down at the mouse.
"Yes," Mickey said, determined. He looked straight into the eyes of the slave of the mirror and commanded, "To the House of Mouse that we've seen, the year to become is two thousand sixteen."
"Thy wish is my command, my mouse," the slave said, disappearing from sight. The view in the mirror showed a building, a neon sign saying House of Mouse. "Behold, your future club house."
The four went through the mirror, finding themselves in front of the building, surprise in their eyes as they looked around to see signs that showed multiple advertisings.
"Mickey, only an hour have ye," the voice of the slave reminded.
"Come on, gang. We've gotta save, well..." Mickey let out a laugh before adding, "ourselves."
