Jasper's P.O.V:
I don't know why but Peter told me to take a car with extra seats. Bella was of course up front with me, Zack and Tanya were in the middle leaving my blindfolded sister and Riley in the back. Nina was askin' questions the entire car ride. The two-hour forty-minute car ride. I let Bella pick the music, I don't know if she was doing this to be funny or not, but she found this thing on the internet before we left called Bardcore and was having a blast with it now. Sorry, I got a head of myself. Basically, Bardcore is when you take a more modern song let's say for example All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix. Then you cover it using only instruments around in the Middle Ages or medieval times they are commonly known as. Old English lyrics are an option but not a must for this to work. Anyway, I'm ramblin' about this, and I should continue the story.
When we got close to where we were going, I smiled. "Okay Riley you can take her blindfold off now. But hold her down." I instructed Riley and he ripped the blindfold quickly before placin' his arms around my sister. As I drove past the buildin' to park our car Nina looked like she was ready to jump out of the car. I chuckled at this. Bella had her phone plugged in to the car to charge she unplugged it before she texted her dad to let him know we made it here okay. She also turned the music off.
"Niamh calm down, ya gettin' me excited as well. We're going to go in. We haven't had sibilin' time in a while. And I know chaperoned dates aren't a thing anymore, but group dates are. And this is also a thank you for handlin' shit when I couldn't be there to do so. I hope you, Zack and Bella are hungry since you three will be the ones eatin' for the six of us." I told her as she was practically bouncin' in her seat even with Riley's arms around her. We all got out of the car and went inside. I didn't want to wait it do the whole buy the tickets there thing it would have ruined the surprise so I bought them online once I figured out that Charlie and Victoria wouldn't be joining us. I used the name Jay Whitlock when buyin' them. So, when we were asked about our reservation by an employee I smiled.
"Jay Whitlock party of six." I told the worker who found our reservation in her tablet. Carmen thought ahead of us going out Riley's eyes are light brown in appearance, Tanya appeared to have a darker blue then Zack, and mine looked like Nina's only darker. I wanted mine to be green, but Carmen pointed out that it would look weird if Nina could pass as my twin while we're out, but she has Hazel eyes when I had green. Nina's eyes appeared a leaf green when she was happy, but you could still see some blue and brown in them so mine worked similar to that, but my green wasn't leaf green it was Olive green.
"Jay and Jessie Whitlock, Bella Swan, Zack Sandiego, Riley Biers, and Tanya Hale?" The worker questioned and we nodded before being lead inside. Once we got all the boring stuff out of the way Nina started looking around. Seeing her and Bella smile made me smile two. Nina was off by the horses and Tanya remembered her Id so she could get a drink. Nina however didn't drink or so I thought.
Anyway, I should explain how this thing Nina wanted to go to works. You had your reservation you go in. sounds simple right? Well, you are given a crown that could be six colors in our case Blue. You would also be given a little plastic wrapped thing that you can't lose so I'm holdin' on to ours. Anyway, this thing has a number on it in our case four. Then you get a photo taken before getting to where we are currently waiting to be let in for the dinner show. This area works as a gift shop area and horse viewing area. But once we are let in there's lights over the seats splittin' the seating into six sections, so we have to sit in the blue section at the fourth table. Then you get yet another photo taken. That's all Nina is letting me say about this.
When we got in the main area, I sat close to the exit in case things got too much for me. Bella sat next to me playing with her hair. Nina and Riley sat next to her one trying to calm the other down. Which left Zack and Tanya at the end of our group with one chair left at our table which was quickly filled by a dark-haired girl with glasses. My phone went off with a text from Peter before I had to turn it off. I read it and surprise, surprise he wanted us to bring this mystery girl back with us. I would scare her away, Bella I wouldn't risk, Riley and Zack were too young to handle this, and Tanya was also intimidating at times, so that left only one person to approach the mystery girl I would have asked her anyway. I looked at Nina and showed her the text before pointing at the girl at our table who was uncomfortable with sitting with us. She nodded her head in understanding before our server came over and we agreed that only Nina, Zack, and Bella should talk to them unless it was for the bar then Tanya, Riley and myself would talk to that one. I'm drinkin' Pepsi apparently. More accurately Bella is havin' Pepsi she just traded cups with me when she finished hers. Nina was havin' 7-up what ever that is but ordered water for Riley they looked almost identical one had bubbles and was flavored, so I'm told. Zack got himself and Tanya diet Pepsi no idea why. Anyway, when the show started Nina almost forgot to breathe or look like she was so both Bella and Riley hit her and moved their shoulders like they were breathing. Nina seemed to get the message and took a breath, and her excitement went up of course that got mine to go up. Nina figured out that there were practically no bad seats for this and knowing her she would want to come back here not that I would complain the positive emotions were something I enjoyed a lot especially after the negative ones that have been going around for months now but never from Bella, I don't know how she managed to take that sadness and lock it away once we came back for her only for most of us to leave again. I remember that Christmas and New years were positive on the surface but if you dug deeper there were negative emotions because of Maria's attack.
I paid more attention to the show than to what Bella was doing. I would love to have worked here with all the horses but a place like this was out of the question it would probably be too high profile for us to work here. That doesn't mean we couldn't visit here often since I also found out that there were a few of these places in the states but this was the only one in Canada. I ordered a drink when I could from the Bar so did Riley, but Charlie didn't need to know that, and Tanya got one two. The surprisin' thing was Nina got a drink and happily showed her Id to the guy runnin' the bar. When the man walked a way quickly as he could after flirting with my sister which got him a few glares from Riley and myself I looked at my plate of bones then to Bella who was workin' on seconds. She was eatin' like she hasn't eaten anythin' all day. Nina was cheerin' as loud as she was able to before draggin' attention to us while Bella was cheerin' as loud as she could. When the drinks came the guy made a flirty remark to my sister.
"You got guts flirtin' with me in front of my brother like that. And assumin' that I'm single when this was a group date." I heard Nina say as her excitement turned into annoyance. Then I watched as she pulled Riley by his shirt and kissed him in front of the guy. Riley looked at me as if askin' if I was okay with this and I gave him the thumbs up like I was his wing man and not his girlfriend's brother. This lead the guy who was tryin' to flirt with Nina to assume that Red-head Zack was her brother. Zack just pointed at me, and I grinned. I took my sweater off when we went in and rolled a sleeve up if you didn't know that I was a century year old vampire and saw my scars you would probably think that I was an army vet or a stunt double in action movies or something like that where you get hurt a lot with high reward. I know that I don't look like I'm that strong but it's all hidden muscle. The guy was also flirtin' with Nina because she has a pretty face, so she uncovered her neck and the guy walked off and Riley shrugged. Nina finished her drink and went back to drinkin' non-alcoholic stuff.
Once the show was over, we went back to the gift shop area and Nina and Bella started lookin' around. Nina already told me what she wanted to be for Halloween, so I pointed a few things out to Riley while her back was turned. Nina eventually went over to the black-haired girl and introduced herself while Riley bought her the things, she was lookin' at plus the stuff I pointed out to him. So, she's gettin' a crown, a sword and shield from a game series she likes, a couple of necklaces and because he felt like it a snow globe, I hope that doesn't turn in to another collection of hers she still collects musical instruments and hats when she travels out of the country. He did show me the snow globe and I found it adorable it had a dragon and a fairy in it. The fairy was blonde wore a simple purple gown, its wings were a light green and it looked like when it was being put together it was dropped twice leaving small cracks on its neck and just over its left breast exactly where Nina had hers a human wouldn't notice them, but we would and so would Nina. The dragon was a red gold color like Riley's eyes and appeared to be restin' its head on the fairy's lap it seemed to be at peace with the fairy around despite the flaws. The base was a forest theme to go with the rest of the interior of the globe. It also played music again from a video game series she likes I heard her hum this one what was the song called again. I remember now the song was called Lazy Afternoons I can't remember what game it was from though. The glitter inside didn't look like snow, but flower petals and the smaller bits were a purple lighter than the fairy's dress.
It wasn't to long before I bought Bella somethings she wanted to get. Zack got his sister and Tanya something as well before Nina returned with the mystery girl. "Jassy, Jay this is Yazz she has no where to go can she come with us please?" Nina did the pout thing she does when things aren't exactly going her way, but Peter said to bring her, so I don't have a choice in the matter. Riley told Nina that he'll meet us at the car before whisperin' to me that he was going to find somethin' to eat before he left. Bella yawned and I looked at the time it was 10;30 at night already we should head back we wouldn't get there till almost one in the mornin' sorry about that Bella.
"Jessie, Zack, Tanya. I think we best get going now I know we all run on caffeine, but Bella doesn't, so we need to get going and bring Yazz with us." I said as I took Bella to the car and placed her in the back seat so I could get a pillow and blanket for her from the trunk. Nina insisted that we all keep basic camp gear in our cars when we go out, I'll have to thank her for this later because the next people to show up were Zack and Tanya. It seemed that Nina and her new friend were taking their time gettin' here because Riley showed up before them. When they did show up though they looked like they got into a fight. Nina didn't say anythin' just went to the trunk and got new clothes for her and Yazz. Riley looked over her for injuries as she got changed and found an already healin' cut on her left cheek, but I noticed that it was healin' slower than normal for her. While I'll be ain't that a red flag and Peter might have mentioned her havin' some dizzy spells once that wasn't normal either we would have to look into it.
I went to open my mouth to ask her what happened, but Nina just said she got into a fight with the guy who was flirtin' with her earlier and he had a knife. She shrugged it off and got behind the wheel and told everyone to get in or run back. I got in the back with a sleepin' Bella, Riley went up front with my sister and that left Zack, Tanya and Yazz in the middle. Nina played her soft music for Bella and Zack complained on how relaxing it was. I needed the relaxed feeling two, Nina was hyped up from tonight she was doing this to calm herself and me. "Zack, the driver picks the music shotgun or any other person in the car shuts his, hers or their cakehole. Unless the driver asks for their opinion. Got it?" she whispered but she knew that she could be heard. I noticed that it was her video game music who knew that fantasy games could have such calming music because I didn't think of it before.
When we did get back Bella was soundly asleep, Nina's cut was healed and Yazz looked like she wanted to jump out a window. Charlie was also asleep and everyone else was doing random things Carmen and Ivy were outside waitin' for us talkin' to who I think was a friend of theirs, but he was just a kid so shouldn't he have been in bed right now. I didn't have time to question it right now I had to get Bella out of the cold and into bed. As I walked by, I heard Alice say somethin' about addin' another cabin with rooms for the kid, Yazz, and Carlisle. Once I got Bella in bed, I made my way to Carmen and Ivy. "So, who's the kid?" I questioned as Ivy started playin' with the bracelet her brother got her while we were out Carmen just smiled.
"This is Player he's not a kid. He's a white hat hacker. He drove here by the way that's a three-hour drive. But he's like us he's just gifted this will come in handy when we travel right Jasper?" Ivy asked and I raised an eyebrow this kid drove three hours on a school night to visit Ivy and Carmen? How did he even know that they were here? Nina saw the kid after havin' a shower and hugged him she did nickname him little brother, so I guess he's okay. Nina was ready to go help Carlisle today it seemed but why was she leavin' so early we just got back, and she already aid goodbye to everyone. I noticed that she also packed extra clothes with her but wasn't she just going to help with his class then do her therapy?
I went back inside when Peter led me to his room. "We need to talk about angel dove…. Have you noticed she's been paler than normal, her eyes are slowly becoming browner in color even though she's happy, the dizzy spells, have I forgotten anythin'?" Peter asked after closin' the door to his room. I was glad it was soundproofed because this would have had Graham and Riley huntin' her down and bring her back into bed before callin' Carlisle. Those boys definitely have my respect, but they are going to have to work hard before I tell them that.
"She's takin' longer to heal than she should. She was attacked when we were leavin', and it took her about sixteen minutes to heal a medium cut on her cheek." I added and Peter's jaw dropped. Then we decided to jump her when she got back, we were going to send everyone into the town since Riley wouldn't like this. Why would we you may ask. Well, Nina when threatened can handle it three different ways fight, run or disappear. We are simply testin' her reflexes that is all. And testin' how long it would take for her to reappear if she chose to disappear. But yeah Riley, Esme and a few others wouldn't agree to our methods so into town they go. That was easy enough to arrange actually since Victoria wanted to take Charlie and Bella out for dinner. Alice needed some help gettin' things for the new cabin she wanted to build, Jessica wanted to go shoppin' with Angela, Carmen wanted to spend time with her friends, And the others all had things they wanted to do. So, Peter and I waved them off and waited for Nina to get back.
It didn't take long for us to hear Nina to come down the trail where we park our cars and she looked fine. Her hair and skin were healthy as ever, she had her guard up and she had the clothes she left with in a gym bag with some logo I didn't understand on it. When Peter jumped her, she fought back, and her reflex time was quicker than they normally would be what was she playin' at here? She was mad and quickly jumped into the tree I was in, and she was mad. "Major Jasper Alexander Whitlock and Captain Peter Wesley Whitlock what the fuckin' hell was that shit? No hi Nina, how was your day? You decide to fuckin' jump me? What the hell is this shit about boys. And either you tell me now or I will call Char and Bella to tell them the Fuckin' bullshit you just tried to do." She knew that they were out so why wasn't she yellin' at us instead of the angry tone she used but yeah, she had the right to be mad at us.
When I didn't answer her, she turned to Peter, and he threw his hands in the air. "I'm waitin', and the clock is a tickin' so start talkin' boys." Nina said angerly as she pulled out her phone and started to punch in a number. When we still didn't respond to her, she hit the call button like she was playin' with a snake. It was answered on the first ring. Peter tried to run but Nina put him on his ass.
"Char hope you're havin' a nice time out. Hope I don't ruin it by tellin' ya that my brothers tried to jump me as soon as I got back and won't tell me why…. That's mighty sweet of ya Char. I'll be sure to keep them all tied up for when ya get back…. See ya soon." Nina spoke into the phone unfortunately she kept her volume down, so I didn't hear what Charlotte said to her, but she did tie us up then lock us in a room the closet I think it was. Char must have ran back because it wasn't long before she was talkin' to Nina.
"What do you mean they jumped you? Where are they?" Charlotte hissed before openin' the door and draggin' us out. Nina, I noticed changed clothes again and had a shower. Char hit both of us behind the ear. She must have known somethin' about Nina that Peter and I didn't because she said nothin' about the change in appearance. Nina's eyes for the first time in over a hundred years appeared blue and I didn't like the emotions attached to it. They were betrayal, hurt, sadness and the anger was still there as well as a few others that I didn't want to get in to. I was so used to seeing the brown or green eyes on my sister that the blue ones almost seemed haunting to me it also made me wonder if she felt opposite emotions strong enough would her eyes appear as two different colors like blue and brown. I have felt people run on sadness and anger before so" it could be possible.
"You two really done it this time what were you trying to prove jumpin' Nina ballerina like that? And who came up with the idea?" Charlotte questioned ready to hit our heads again before Peter spilled everythin'. And hey I was right Nina could have two different eye colors, wait oh shit I was right not only was she upset with us now she was pissed off at us again as well and I did not like how that was makin' me feel right now. As if to prove a point Nina made Char and herself disappear then reappear this only took her a few seconds.
"There happy now Major, Captain? No need to start worryin' about me again now. So, if you'll excuse me, I'll be in my room lookin' at the colors Riley picked out. And I will be textin' Bella about this." Nina said as she went to her room closin' her door as hard as she dared worried about her snow globe. Char got Riley to come back and asked to talk to him before he went to see Nina. They went into Peter's room and closed the door so Peter and I couldn't hear what they were sayin'. I also had a feelin' that Carmen knew about Nina's secret two that's why she was willin' to send her halfway around the world. When they did come out Riley went to see Nina and Char came back to us.
"You are lucky that Nina Ballerina is wanting to stay after what you pulled. Riley wanted to take her and travel. But she told him that she was still needed here. But she will be packing her stuff and be going away for a week now later on because of you two." Char stated like it wasn't up for discussion. Char made her way to the kitchen to make somethin' for Nina but left us tied on the floor. She told Peter he wasn't gettin' any for a month and for us to think about what we've done.
Eventually I heard Nina's snow globe and her singin' to the music the lyrics sounded made up though. Once everyone got back Char was finished makin' Nina some food. "Graham be a dear and bring this to Nina for me would you. She said she wanted to talk to you when you got back." Char said with a smile holdin' the plate of what looked like shrimp and potatoes with a few pieces of toast that had butter and sprinkles on it she also had a few green vegetables on the plate like Broccoli, Asparagus, and green beans. Graham took the plate and went to Nina's room. I couldn't focus on Nina's conversation because Bella got in my face right then.
"You jumped your sister? What if something was actually wrong with her and you ended up hurting her? I talked to my dad and Victoria we are going home tomorrow. And once you drop me off you can't see me for a week." Bella told me and yes, I deserved it. But it still hurt. I could tell already this was going to be a long, silent forty-hour car ride back to Forks. Then it was going to be a long week I would be going to School, but I wouldn't be allowed to talk to Bella at all or drive her. Maybe I should stay here and just do online schooling. I thought all night as Bella and Charlie slept but was dragged out the door once they were ready to go.
I dragged my feet down the trail to the cars, got inside and once we were off there was nothing but silence. Bella and I sat in the back of the car, but she said nothin' to me, so I looked out the window. The blue sky remindin' me of that hauntin' image of my sister's blue eyes and broken look when Charlotte got Peter and I out of the closet. Bella started tellin' her pa and Victoria about where we went before all this happened, but I wasn't really payin' attention my mind was on my sister. Bella made a point what would have I done I have hurt Nina. Odds say I would have started the snowflake treatment again. Now I begin to wonder why Nina let us do that to her at all, she was just humoring Peter and me the entire time. Was her little road trip a few years ago planed by her and Charlotte? Was Charlotte secretly okay with Nina going wherever Carmen sent her by herself the entire time? This raised some questions, but I didn't have answers and I doubt even if Victoria did, she would give them to me. So I'm just stuck speculating for now.
