Chapter 10: Eggs for Dinner
"Dear diary," Amity writes down, she sits on her desk in her library. "Yesterday's heist was a lot wilder than expected. We got to the room with the emerald, when a plant emerged from the top of it. Willow tried to separate the emerald from the plant, but it backfired, and turned the plant into a carnivorous giant, with a surprisingly musical and deep voice. It was a tough battle, and we nearly died a couple of times. I'm just glad Luz was there with the emerald." Amity sighs, then continues to write. "My mom caught me on the way to my room, she said I have to be prepared for tonight, whatever that means is beyond me. My mom was already disappointed that I didn't retrieve the emerald, so she might be more than a little upset if she found out I worked with Sonic to take the emerald. I don't know much about Sonic, I just know my mom hates him, but Luz is working with him. For now, I just have to make things right tonight, I mean, how hard can it be, right?" Amity closes her diary
Amity gets off her chair and puts the diary back on its usual place on the shelf, she hears a booming voice say, "Amity Blight!" She turns around and sees it's her boss, Malphas, he coughs and puts on his normal voice. "Like, are you almost done with your break?" Malphas asks.
Amity nods and smiles, "Yes, Malphas, I'll be right there in a moment." Malphas nods and exits Amity's hideout.
Later in the evening, Amity is walking home from the library with her palisman, a small white cat. Amity arrives at her front door; she looks down at her palisman. "Alright, let's get inside now, shall we." The palisman meows back at Amity. Amity knocks on the door, and the same abomination servant opens the door for her.
Amity walks into her home and is greeted by her mother. "Ah, Amity," Odalia states, "you made it right on time for our special dinner."
Amity looks behind her mother, and sees her father carrying a pan into the kitchen while wearing purple oven mitts. "So, what makes this dinner so special?" Amity inquires.
Odalia rubs her hands together, "Well, let's just say we have a very important guest over." Odalia says, she points toward the dining room. "Come now, Amity, we have dinner to attend to."
Amity follows her mother into the dining room, "Well, I wonder who this guest could-'' But Amity stops speaking and widens her eyes when she notices who is at the dining table. The dining table is populated with glass pitchers, empty plates, and baskets of bread rolls, at one end of the dining table, sits Alador; The left side of the table sits Amity's older twin siblings, Edric and Emira. But at the other end of the table, sat a round and a tall scientist dressed in all red.
Odalia sat down on the right side of the table, she pulled out the chair next to her. "Have a seat now, Amity." Odalia says, she taps the seat. Amity sits in the seat. Odalia points at the scientist, who is stuffing his face with countless bread rolls. "This is the esteemed Doctor Ivo Robotnik. He has been a great help to both the Blight family, and the emperor himself. It's a pleasure to have him over for a dinner such as this."
Eggman swallows the bread with a loud gulp, "Oh please, the pleasure's all mine." Eggman wipes the crumbs off his face and mustache with a napkin. "You and Alador have been very supportive in my ventures."
Odalia smiles and points at Amity, "And this is my dear daughter, Amity."
Eggman nods, and looks at Amity, "Ah yes, your mother has told me a lot about you. You seem to be a very talented young witch."
Amity stabs her food with a fork, and looks at Eggman. "Well, I wouldn't go that far, but thanks." Amity says in a monotone voice.
The family and Eggman continue eating their food in an awkward silence, until Edric puts down his utensils. "So, Doctor," Edric says, "What have you been up to, now that you've been staying in the Boiling Isles?"
Eggman turns to face the curious Edric, "Unfortunately, I can't reveal a lot of that information, for it is confidential." Edric frowns, but Eggman holds up his hand. "However, I can show you a little something I had invented prior to my visit.". Eggman turns toward the living room and whistles., "Orbot, Cubot, Get over here!" He shouts; A metallic yellow cube and red sphere pop out from his bag in the living room, and jump on the dining table. The metallic objects unfold themselves, revealing that they are both robots. Their heads and bases are halves of a cube or sphere, but their torso and arms are made up of thin metallic cylinder structures connected by black spheres. The robots bow, and the Blight family awes, except for Amity, who just looks on curiously.
"These are my two robotic assistants, Orbot, and Cubot." Eggman states
"Aw, you must be the Blights," Orbot states in a soft and formal voice, "I'm delighted to be in your presence." Orbot reaches for Odalia's hand, and shakes it.
"Yeah, it's very nice to meet you," Cubot said, in his usually goofy and raspy voice, He reaches out for Alador's hand, and shook it violently.
Alador laughed, "Wow, Ivo, your robotic assistants are quite lovely."
Eggman chuckled, "Well, I would hope so, since I have spent years optimizing them to be the perfect assistants." As soon as Eggman finishes his sentence, he turns around and sees Cubot stuffing bread rolls into himself, before short-circuiting, and falling to the floor.
"Cubot, You Nitwit!" Orbot shouts; he gets on the floor, and drags away the unresponsive Cubot.
Eggman awkwardly chuckles as the Blights look at him, confused. "Don't worry about it," he says reassuringly, "just a slight malfunction, I'll patch it up later.".
A timer goes off in the kitchen, and Alador looks towards the kitchen, "Ah, the casserole is done cooling." he says, he goes off into the kitchen, and comes back with a tray.
As Alador puts the tray on the table, Odalia pours herself a glass of water from a pitcher. "Well everybody," Odalia says, she raises her glass, "Cheers to a long-lasting partnership." The rest of the family and Eggman raise their glasses in the air, and let out a "Cheers!" Amity's "Cheers!" is significantly quieter than the rest of her family's.
"Well, let's dig in!" Emira shouts, and so the family and Eggman retrieve food from the tray. After a little more than half an hour of idle chit-chat between the Eggman and the Blights, Odalia gets up.
"Well, if you children are done, then put up your plates and head upstairs. We have a few, 'Confidential', things to discuss with our guests." Odalia states, Emira, Edric, and Amity nod, put up their dishes, and head upstairs.
Before Edric and Emira enter their rooms, they notice Amity, who looks anxious. "What's up with you?" Emira questioned.
Amity turns around, and faces her siblings, and sighs. "I don't really trust our 'esteemed guest' Mom and Dad invited."
"Why?" Edric asks, "Is it because he looks too much like an Egg?"
"No!" Amity says annoyed, "It's just, the fact he's working so close with the emperor, and how Mom told me how important this meeting was. I just have a bad feeling about the guy overall."
"Sounds like to me that you might be blowing things out of proportion." Emira states.
"Yeah, he could just be some old kooky scientist, like Dad." Edric adds
"Alright then," Amity says, she sighs and turns toward her room, "I'll just go then." as she goes towards her door, the sound of a spell circle cast can be heard. Amity reaches for the door, but doesn't see her hand. She turns around and sees her siblings with their arms crossed.
"If you're that curious, just go downstairs and find out for yourself." Emira said.
"You may uncover some deep conspiracy, or just have to sit through business politics." Edric added.
"Thanks guys" Amity said, she smiled, but of course, it wasn't visible. Amity went down the stairs carefully, and snuck into the dining room.
Amity saw Eggman chattering with Mr. and Mrs. Blight; Eggman poured himself a glass of Apple Blood, and had a sip. "Wow, this apple blood stuff sure is strong." Eggman stated, he gulped down some more apple blood.
Alador chuckled, "Well, try not to have too much, we still need your sharp mind for later."
"And besides," Odalia adds; she takes out a small pie, "we have another little treat just for this discussion."
"Oh, why thank-" Eggman looks at the pie and sees fairy limbs in between the strips of crust, he pauses for a second. "You…"
Odalia smiles, "It's a fairy pie, a Blight specialty."
Eggman pushes the pie away, "You know what, I'm a bit stuffed from dinner, actually."
Alador shrugs, "Eh, suit yourself." Alador grabs the pie and digs into it with a knife and fork.
Odalia looks at her husband with frustration and embarrassment as he scarfs down the pie, she looks back at Eggman and continues. "Well, I guess we should get to the matter at hand, right, Ivo?"
Eggman nods, "Right." Eggman throws out a hologram device on the table. The device projects a holographic image of an Eggman themed amusement park, simply titled Eggman Land: Boiling Isles. "After Belos helps me stage my take-over of this land, this island will be home to the first of many interdimensional Eggman Land (Trademark) locations. This will feature many attractions based around locations from my dimension, and a bit of that Boiling Isles flair."
"But Ivo," Alador asks, "what does a theme park have to do with the emperor's plans?
"Good question, Alador," Eggman replied, he swipes the hologram, to reveal a hidden bottom section of the park. "This Park, powered by the Master Emerald, will allow the emperor enough energy to go through with the day of unity."
"So, when can we expect this plan to give us our desired results?" Odalia inquires.
"Well, soon enough, in fact..." Eggman pulls out a rolled-up deed from his coat pocket. "We're clear to start construction in just a few days. Of course, we will need to demolish the town square, and Hexside, but we'll just transfer students to other schools, and offer vendors the chance to sell at my theme park."
"Now Ivo," Odalia interjects, "I'm a bit concerned about the school transfers might affect my children's education."
"I wouldn't worry yourself," Eggman reassures, "because if things go to plan, your daughter is a guaranteed shoo-in for the emperor's coven."
"How delightful," Alador adds.
"Now, Ivo, one last thing." Odalia says, "What are we going to do about our little hedgehog problem? That little runt prevented my daughter from retrieving the emerald from Hexside"
Eggman nods, "Yeah, that Sonic alright, he's sure is annoying, which makes him one hell of an arch nemesis. Fortunately, I think we're close to being able to hunt him down; Because according to the report from the guard, it is reasonable to suspect that Sonic has received help from Hexside's human witch, Luz Noceda."
Amity gasps, making her visible, Eggman looks towards her location. Eggman looks back, but Amity ducks behind the couch before Eggman can spot her.
"What's wrong Ivo?" Alador asks.
"Oh nothing," Eggman replies, "I thought I heard a noise, but it was probably just the wind."
Odalia nods, "Well, what do you suppose we do about the human witch?"
"Well, isn't it obvious? We'll do the same thing we'll do with Sonic…" Eggman held his hands together, and placed them on the table, "We'll detain her."
"Now hold on, Ivo," Alador objects, "what about Amity, she'll be devastated when she finds out."
Eggman nods, "Alador, you and your wife have raised such a resilient girl. I'm sure she'll be able to handle the loss of one friend." Eggman gets up off of his chair. "Now, I believe I must prepare really quickly for tonight's big demonstration. I'll be in Alador's lab if you need me, oh before I forget, thanks for the diner," Eggman grabs his bag, and heads off into Alador's lab.
Amity sits on the floor, trying to process all the information that was given by Eggman, she clenches her fist. While her parents get up to go to their room, Amity sneaks into the lab where Eggman is. Amity enters the lab, and sees Eggman open the bag, Orbot and Cubot jump out and shift into their standard forms. Eggman takes out another robot from the bag, it has a striking similarity to Sonic the Hedgehog. Eggman takes the robot and plops it on the work table, Orbot hands him a wrench, and Eggman gets to work on repairs,
"Ah, Metal, you got beaten up pretty bad last time, but I'm almost finished with the repairs." Eggman opens up Metal Sonic, and Cubot passes him some wires, Eggman replaces the broken wiring with newer ones.
"So, is this what you wanted to hide?" Amity says, Eggman turns around and his eyes widen.
"You!?" Eggman shouts, "What are you doing here, and how much do you know?"
"Oh, not much, really." Amity sarcastically states, "All I know is that you're going to destroy our town to make a tacky amusement park, and try to hurt Luz."
"Oh, all of that?" Eggman says; he pulls out a chair from underneath a table, and a piece of paper from his coat. "Here, Amity, let's have a little meeting of our own." Amity sits on the chair, and stares down Eggman with an annoyed expression. "Here's an excerpt of the report from the scout that you were supposed to retrieve the emerald from. She states that 'I had heard a disturbance from outside my post. I checked outside, only to find a hulking abomination with a glowing orange aura, facing me, and holding the Hexside guards that were outside. The aura was one, much like the one around the plant specimen I observed, except the plant's aura was blue, as a result of the emerald. The abomination caught me in its grasp, and I had barely managed to defeat it, before passing out. When I awoke, I heard commotion from inside, so I peeked inside the room, only to find four children, including what appeared to be the human, fighting the plant specimen. Except that it was somehow morphed into a giant, monstrous version of itself. I immediately informed Bump, who claims to have 'Met a nice blue fellow' when he arrived at the scene. We could not find the emerald, but it does raise some questions about the young Blight.'"
Eggman puts down the report, and Amity starts to get nervous. "Now Blight, taking the emerald for yourself, would be bad enough, but this report suggests that you had assisted Sonic in taking the emerald. Now Amity, with this kind of treason, not only would I have to send you off to the emperor, but also your friends, family, and even Luz."
Amity got up to Eggman's face, and held up abomination material to him. "You stay away from them, Egg face!" she shouts.
Eggman holds out his hands, "Woah, calm down for a second, I'm not done speaking. Also, if you're going to do the old egg comparison, stick with Eggman, will you?"
Amity backs away from Eggman, "Go on then, Eggman, explain."
Eggman clears his throat before continuing, "This report was handed to me, but I had managed to convince the guard to cover it up, and hide it from the emperor. The reason for that is because I wish to make a proposition for you. I want you to help me with a little demonstration, and in exchange, I won't report you and your loved ones to the emperor, and have you all most likely petrified. How does that sound, Blight?"
Amity looks at Eggman in annoyance, "That sounds a lot more like blackmail to me."
Eggman frowns, "Well, only with that attitude, Amity. Besides, I'm giving you an easy way out of the consequences of your actions. After tonight, I won't have to worry about all this treason stuff, well, as long as you don't do something like this, again. So, what do you say, do you want us to sweep this incident under the rug?"
Amity nods, "Sure, doesn't sound too hard."
Eggman puts on a wide and menacing grin, "Excellent!"
Alador walked into the room, "Hey Ivo, how are things going in-" Alador notices Amity. "Amity, what are you doing here, I thought we told all of you to go upstairs!"
"Oh, it's fine, Alador." Eggman said, "Your daughter was just a little curious and had a few questions. It's really no big deal." Eggman patted Amity on the back, Amity awkwardly smiles, "In fact, Amity has agreed to help me out with my demonstration for tonight.
Alador scratches his chin, "Well, I guess that's alright, I'll just tell your mother about this change of plans." Alador walks away.
Amity and Eggman drop their fake smiles and stare at each other with disdain. "I think you should go prepare yourself," Eggman suggested as he turned around, and continued to fix up Metal Sonic. "I have plenty of work to be done by myself." Amity turns around and exits the laboratory.
About an hour later, Amity and her parents arrive at the Blight industry warehouse, along with Eggman. The four are followed by a masked representative from the emperor. Eggman is wheeling a tall black container up to the stage, Amity follows him up. Orbot jumps on stage and hands Eggman the microphone.
"Welcome, uh, Lady and Gentleman," Eggman announced, "Tonight, I would like to demonstrate the first of my many inventions that will benefit the emperor's vision." Eggman snaps his fingers, and Metal Sonic bursts through the black box and lands on the stage, between Eggman and Amity.
"Salutations." Metal Sonic says, Alador and Odalia let out an applause at this little spectacle.
"This creation, who I dub Metal Sonic, is a super powered metallic soldier, who can fly at speeds comparable to that blue pest we all love to hate. Eggman gets the stage, and Amity and Metal move a few feet apart. Metal flies up in the air, "As I stated earlier, my creation has the ability to fly up great distances."
"Wow, it's so high up." Amity states with feigned amazement.
As Eggman continues his speech, The thrusters on Metal Sonic's shoes flare up, before Metal Sonic circles around Amity. "Metal Sonic is capable of traveling up to… well… I'm not sure, but it's pretty fast."
"I can't seem to keep up with this machine," Amity says, still putting on a facade.
Amity's parents clap, but the representative is not as impressed. He steps forward, "this is all well and good, but the emperor is curious about the machine's offensive capabilities."
"Why of course," Eggman replied, Metal Sonic flew up and charged his thrusters. "Metal Sonic can use his high speeds to charge at his enemies."
Metal Sonic heads towards Amity at a moderate speed and barely goes right beside her. Amity throws herself down, "Ouch, this guy really packs a punch!" Amity says as she gets up off the floor.
Metal Sonic sparks up before shutting off, when he turns back off, he stares down Amity, and charges up his thrusters. "Exterminate!" Metal Sonic yells, before charging at Amity at full speed, and knocking her to the wall.
As Amity picks herself back up, Odalia notices Eggman nervously tapping on a device.
"What's going on here, Ivo?" Odalia asks.
"Oh dear," replies Eggman, "It appears Metal Sonic has malfunctioned, causing him to believe Amity to be a target that must be destroyed."
Metal charges at Amity, but Amity uses abomination material to push Metal away from her and into the wall. Metal flew in the air and spun into a ball. He launched himself at Amity, but Amity kept knocking Metal Sonic back with a weapon made from abomination matter. After knocking him back over and over, like a dangerous game of paddle ball, Metal Sonic manages to maneuver around Amity and strike her. Metal uncurled and lunged at Amity, but Amity knocked him around with her abomination weapon, before using it to slam Metal into the ground. Metal gets in a stance, and circles around Amity, disorientating her.
Amity tries to hit Metal, but she misses with every attempted strike. Metal eventually knocks the abomination weapon out of Amity's hand, and then he grabs Amity by the collar.
"Perish!" Metal Sonic yells, before throwing Amity in the air, and hitting her several times with his homing attack and throwing her back to the ground. Amity manages to catch herself with abomination matter, cushioning her fall. Metal sonic surrounded himself in sparking electricity, and threw a punch at Amity. Amity ducked under the flying robot, and launched him up by making a pillar from the abomination matter. Metal Sonic flew back, then pointed his hand at Amity, and shot electrical attacks at Amity. Amity used the abomination matter, and made it surround her in order to shield her from the shots. Amity then gathered all the abomination matter, and launched it all to Metal Sonic, restraining him.
As Metal Sonic struggled to get out of his purple prison, Amity looked towards the crowd. She saw her parents, who looked at each other with confusion; The representative, who shook his head while writing something down. Then Eggman, who just whistled to himself while pushing a button on the remote he held early, behind his back.
"What the…" Amity muttered to herself when noticing Eggman's behavior. Amity heard sparking behind her, she turned around, and saw Metal Sonic sparking up with green electricity. Metal Sonic twitched around, before bursting out the abomination cocoon. Metal curled into a ball, and spun in circles around Amity while sparking up in green electricity. The android slammed into Amity several times, electricity restricting her movement with every strike. Metal circled around behind Amity, uncurling from his ball position, and then kicking Amity to the ground. Metal rose into the air, and prepared to charge at Amity while sparking with electricity. Just before Metal Sonic reached Amity, Amity rolled out of the way of Metal's carnage. Amity noticed an opening by Metal's core, she made a spike from the abomination matter, and made a direct hit to Metal Sonic.
Metal Sonic sparked out for a second, before falling to his knees, and clutching his core. "You'll pay for this, Blight!" Metal shouted as he lunged towards Amity. Amity grabbed a hold of him with the abomination matter, and threw him towards the ground. Metal was able to use his thrusters in order to prevent himself from making contact with the surface, then he launched at Amity and attempted to land an electrifying punch. Amity used the abomination matter in order to form a spiked gauntlet, and clashed her fist against Metal's. Metal shifted himself around Amity in order to land a hit, but Amity parried most of his attacks. Amity dodged Metal's last attack, before punching him in the chest, sending him flying into the wall. Amity ran to deliver a final blow, but Metal curled up into a ball at the last second, and rolled behind her before jumping into her. Metal Uncurled and landed two punches on Amity, but when he went in for a third punch, Amity formed a weapon and stuck him on his side. Amity swung her simplistic club, and Metal barely managed to grab onto it, putting at a standstill. As the two struggled to overpower each other, Metal realized he had a free hand, and used it to slash Amity on the leg. Amity dropped the weapon and yelled out in pain, grasping her leg. Metal seized this opportunity and tackled Amity to the ground.
Metal walked towards Amity, who laid on the ground, he raised his closed fist, and electricity burst out of it. "It's time to finish this!" Metal Sonic declared while staring at the fallen Amity.
Amity lifted her head up and smirked, "I must agree." she replied while staring at his feet
Metal Sonic tilted his head in confusion, and looked down to see what Amity was up to. Metal Sonic noticed a giant circle of abomination matter around where he stood, he looked at Amity, who was manipulating the circle with her hands. Anticipating what was going to happen next, Metal attempted to fly out of the way, but it was too late. Spikes sprouted out from the circle of abomination matter, impaling Metal Sonic from a myriad of different angles in the air. Metal Sonic twitched around while sparks flew out, until his eyes went dark, and Metal went limp.
Amity got up off the ground, and looked back at the small audience, who all looked mortified. Amity went over to check out the remains of Metal Sonic, but she noticed that something was off. The pieces of the abomination matter barely managed to penetrate through even a few pieces of Metal Sonic's armor, and when it came to the core, the spikes seemed to break off. But before Amity could make the conclusion, Metal's eyes lit up, and he broke through the spikes, returning them to their normal gooey state. Metal Sonic performed a sweeping kick, knocking Amity to the ground, and allowing him to pin her to the ground. But instead of performing a finishing move, Metal Sonic helped stand Amity back up, and bowed.
"Demonstration complete." Metal said while facing the audience, before putting his head and powering off.
Eggman got up on stage, held Amity's hand up, and bowed, much akin to a curtain call. "TA DA!" he shouted out; the small audience let out an applause.
"What a thrilling presentation!" Alador shouted out.
"I must say," The emperor's representative stated, "With all you presented, the emperor will be pleased to continue working along with you."
"This sure was a spectacle," Odalia said, "With all that talk about malfunctions, you really convinced me my daughter was going to die."
"Ah, thanks, Odalia," Eggman bashfully said, he pointed at Amity, "but really, you should also give your dear daughter a lot of the credit for this performance."
"Ah, thanks." Amity said nervously. She smiles, but on the inside, she was mortified by everything that just happened.
Eventually, Eggman and the Blights make it back to the Blight manor in the dead of night. While Odalia and Alador laugh along with Eggman about some idle chatter, Amity headed for the stairs.
"Well, I have a long night of repairs ahead of me," Eggman stated, he has Metal slumped over his shoulder, "I hope you don't mind if I use the lab one last time."
"Sure thing." Alador said, "just don't be too long, you have to be fully awake for the special occasion."
Odalia went up to Amity, who was making her way up the stairs. "Amity, make sure you get plenty of rest, and don't worry about school tomorrow, I'll notify them that you were caught up in 'family matters."
Amity nodded, "Alright" she said weakly before turning away, "goodnight mother."
As soon as her parents had returned to their room, Amity snuck back out of her room, and into her father's lab.
Amity walks in and notices Eggman. He puts Metal on her father's table, and gets to work repairing the robotic hedgehog.
"Excuse me!", she yells, Eggman turns to face her, "Are we just going to ignore what happened in there?"
Eggman groans in annoyance and drags his palm on his face, "Can't you see that I'm busy, young Blight? And aren't you supposed to be in bed by now?"
Amity turns red in anger, "You tried to kill me, in front of my parents, can you not see how messed up that is?"
Eggman chuckled, "Oh trust me Blight, it wouldn't be possible, I had Metal under my control."
Amity looks at Eggman with a smug expression, "So you admit there was no malfunction."
Eggman grumbled, "You know, compared to me telling the emperor about your little incident, the consequences you had to face were minute. Why do you still feel the need to complain?"
Amity shook her fist, "Why do you feel the need to beat up a kid on stage and call it a teaching moment?"
Eggman sighs, "Listen, Amity, let me teach you a basic lesson in problem-solving us inventors have to learn. See, a complete machine requires parts to be working simultaneously together to function. But some parts," Eggman digs through metal Sonic and grabs a broken piece, "like this, are broken and therefore, are a burden to the machine. Now we can fix this piece, but it requires too much effort, just for it to be less efficient, so why fix," Eggman snaps the piece in half, "when you can just replace." Eggman takes another similar piece and places it in Metal.
Eggman grabs Metal's core and slowly walks towards Amity, she looks on, slightly scared. "Though some parts are worth the extra effort to fix them, I must ask, Blight…" Eggman stops in front of Amity, looming over her. "Are you worth fixing?" Eggman stops staring at Amity, and goes back to the work table. "Well, I guess you better get going now, I'll see you later, Amity."
Amity walks back to her room, Emira and Edric poke their heads out of their rooms when they hear her, and want to ask Amity if she's alright, but they hesitate, and go back to their rooms. Amity enters her room, and dramatically slumps down on her bed. She tries to let all her emotions out, but nothing comes. Amity eventually just stares at her roof until she manages to drift asleep.
Alador enters his laboratory and sees Eggman, still at work on repairing Metal Sonic. "Hey, Ivo," Alador says, Eggman turns around, "I see you're still at work on that machine of yours."
Eggman wipes the sweat off his forehead and looks at Alador, "I sure am, that presentation was impressive, but it also did a number on poor Metal."
Alador walks up to the desk and looks at Eggman, "You know, I may have a small proposition for you."
Eggman stops his work, "Really, and what may that be, Alador?"
Alador pulled out a blueprint from inside his coat, "I had a look at your plans for that Metal guy, so I came up with a design that utilizes both of our specialties." Alador hands Eggman the blueprints, and Eggman looks at them. "So, what do you think?" Alador inquires.
Eggman rolled up the blueprint and grinned, he put on his goggles, "I think, our next project will be very interesting"
