Because Cabin 1 forever.

Well I won't keep you waiting.

Alright well here you go, chapter 3!

ANNABETH POV:

He was more handsome than I remembered. Which was saying a lot.

His smile was goofy and adorable, and his smirk was attractive as hell. I had to stop myself from staring at him throughout all of breakfast.

Stop it, Annabeth! I scolded myself. He'll never like you. And besides, you don't want him to like you. He's an asshole.

But I couldn't help but take in his features and wonder what happened to him in the past. Something must've been really bad for him to give up dating- there was definitely plenty of girls who would be happy to date him.

I was excited when he agreed to my plan. Who wouldn't be excited from the prospect of spending time with a crazy hot guy?

But I needed to focus on my studies. All the guys that asked me out, saying I was 'smoking' were only doing it to try to get a fun night with a blonde so that they could brag to their friends.

I didn't need that. I was busy enough trying to live up to my mother's expectations.

"Annabeth!" Thalia sang as she walked into our dorm room.

My side of the room was covered in books, notes, and small trinkets. I had hung up some golden fairy lights by my bed and my duvet was grey with white intricate lace designs.

Thalia was a different story. Her side was messy, and almost all of her stuff was black, blue or purple. She had posters taped messily to the wall, and spiky decorations all over. She turned on her electric blue LED lights and sat down on her unmade bed.

"What?"

"We're going to a party tonight."

"What? No. It's only been a week, I need to get more settled-"

"Annie-"

"Don't call me that."

"Annabeth, you are going to that party. You never go out. Just think, you could expand your social life and make yourself ten times more popular."

"I don't care about that."

"Well, what if you meet someone with great connections? What if you find someone who can get you an internship with a great architecture company?"

She knew how to get me. I was never the type to pass up on a business opportunity.

"Fine."

"Yes, atta girl. It starts at eight. We have forty five minutes. What are you going to wear?"

I looked down at my outfit. I was wearing athletic shorts and an old science fair t shirt. "This."

She shook her head adamantly.

I scoffed. "What about your whole preach to the choir looks don't matter and women don't need to impress anyone?"

"That doesn't mean I can't look good. Or force my best friend to look good. Come on, you have to have something good," she said, digging through my drawers.

Finally, she pulled out a pair of black ripped high waisted jeans, a cropped gray sweater and some cute sandals I had found over the summer.

I had to admit, it was a pretty good outfit. I had been worried she would dress me up in one of her spiky emo band shirts.

I sighed and changed, dabbed on some lip gloss and mascara and tamed my curls as best as I could.

Thalia nodded. "You look hot." I rolled my eyes.

"So where's the party?"

"At this guy Luke Castellan's sorority house. I think he's in one of your design classes." I nodded. The name did ring a bell.

We headed out after I grabbed my small black purse to put a portable charger, a pen, a notebook and my phone. I liked to be prepared.

We arrived a few minutes later, and I faltered in my steps when I saw the house. People were drinking on the steps and inside the house there were strobing lights and screaming, accompanied by an incessant base beat.

Thalia grinned, taking my hand. "Let's go."

We walked in and immediately were handed drinks in red solo cups. I poured mine down the sink, while Thalia drank hers quickly.

I went into the kitchen after Thalia left to go dance with an intimidating girl named Reyna.

I looked around for a stack of clean cups and got some water. I took a sip.

"Didn't think you were the type to party," a low voice came from behind me.

I smiled and turned around. "Funny, I thought the exact opposite about you," I told Percy.

He grinned. "Wanna dance?"

He grabbed my hand without waiting for an answer and pulled me into the living room where loud EDM was blasting.

We danced for a little, Percy twirling me around a few times and us swaying to the beat. Percy was smiling down at me with his troublemaker smirk and I could help but blush.

It felt like there was no one in the room but us.

He leaned down to whisper in my ear, and I couldn't help the shiver that ran through my body.

"Thank gods you're here. These two girls have been staring at me this whole time."

I blushed immediately. Crap. I was catching feelings already? And had been- what- less than a day?

I nodded my head, determined to keep thoughts of Percy out of my head from now on. But that's kind of hard when the guy looks like a Greek god and is dancing with you right now.

"I'm going to go get a drink," I said, pulling away and ignoring his friend. "Do you want anything?"

"Water if they have it."

I raised an eyebrow. "You don't drink?" It was a good trait in my opinion. I didn't drink unless something really bad happened.

"Yeah, yeah. Womanizer stereotypes and whatever. But no, I don't drink."

I nodded, and head off to the kitchen.

I almost made it to the stack of cups before slamming into a tall blonde guy. He smiled immediately and I looked up at him confused. Was I supposed to know him?

"I'm Luke," he said, holding out his hand for me to shake. I took it. "I'm in your design class?"

"Right!" I smiled and pulled back, trying to ignore how his fingers lingered on my palm. I wasn't really feeling it with him. "I'm Annabeth."

He laughed. "Oh, I know. You're the girl who always has her hand up."

I blushed and looked down. He smiled again and tucked a strand of hair that had fallen into my face behind my ear.

"Don't worry. It's a refreshing look to see girls in that class not just playing with a nail filer."

I blushed.

"Hey there," a deep voice said next to me as a tan arm was sling around my shoulders. I turned to see Percy, his eyes dark and threatening. "I see you've met my girlfriend. I'm Percy."

Luke raised an eyebrow. "Luke."

Percy nodded. He turned to me with a fake smile. "Babe, do you want to get out of here?"

"Sure," I smiled. I liked Luke as a friend, but it was clear he was wanting to be more and I was glad to have an out.

We walked out, hand in hand.

"You're welcome," Percy murmured in my ear. I blushed and rolled my eyes, trying to ignore the anger in his voice, leading him out of the pulsing house and into the starry night.

End of chapter 3!

I feel like people think I'm more cheery than I am because I like to use exclamation points a lot but I promise I'm not always bubbly. In fact I have a bunch of mental health issues lol.

I might rant about it at some point.

Okay well thanks for reading, and it would be great if you could leave a review.
