AN: Good News story is half way finished. It will contain 6 chapters. That means I have completed chapter 3. Although I might increase no. of chapters again. This was supposed to be a oneshot. Not too long but of respectable size. Any way enjoy.

"Aaahh", Superboy grunted as he punched the machine again. It was a special machine designed to act as a punching bag for league heavy hitters. It usually survived dozens of punches even from them before getting busted but he was on his third machine today.

"Whoah! dude someone is angry", Kid Flash commented. He had just returned to the cave with Robin. Their schools usually end at the same time. So, they came to the cave with a few minutes difference then they are joined by Artemis an hour later. Megan and Kaldur don't have a fix time.

"Superboy are you all right, you are bleeding", Robin asked in concern. He noticed Superboy's knuckle immediately upon his arrival. "What happened?"

"We talked." Superboy answered. As if it answered anything.

"And", Robin pressed.

"He disowned me." Superboy looked at Kid Flash's questioning expression and answered. "Superman." Then he went back to punching again.

When Superman called him this morning, he had become very happy and looked forward to the meeting. He had a lot of admiration for Superman. When they met for the first time, he saw the look of joy on his face. He thought Superman was going to adopt him there and train him to fully use his powers, etc. But as soon as he learned that he was his clone. Superman became cold. He didn't start a conversation with Superboy and sometimes he even glared at him.

"You sure that's what he meant." KF asked still skeptical that the big blue would do it. "Superman is like the biggest boy scout; I don't think he would do it. Also, I also saw him looking at you with love and longing."

"I remember him glaring at you at Cadmus" robin added, "But even still I don't think he would disown you, maybe you misunderstood. Can you tell us about it?"

Superboy just glared. "Leave me alone".

KF wanted to say something, but a look from robin silenced him. They both left but not before mentally agreeing to dig deeper into it.

"What?" Superboy asked. He could feel others particularly, Megan was itching to ask him something. They have just finished a mission. It was nothing noteworthy. Just beating up some normal goons.

"Can you tell us what exactly happened, when you said Superman disowned you?" KF asked.

"I told you to drop it", Superboy said angrily.

"I am sure you misunderstood" Miss Martian added. After sensing his glare, she added, "I mean why would anyone disown you?"

"Yeah, you are so wonderful, only an idiot would do it," Artemis said.

"We only want to help to you" Kaldur added.

"Fine", Superboy said angrily. "Superman called me to talk 2 days ago. We spoke for a few minutes and he helped me fine tune my senses. He also told me that he couldn't fly until he was 18. But then he looked nervous about something and finally asked me to change my name." He looked absolutely furious as he said this. "The whole meeting was a ploy to make me change my name. He didn't acknowledge me and he don't want the world to acknowledge me too. Hope you are happy now." With that he stormed off.

"Damn I didn't know Superman had it in him." Robin commented. He was probably the closest person to Superman on the team. Not only did he greatly admired Superman, but have met him on several occasions due to batman.

"This doesn't feel right we should do something." Aqualad commented.

"But, what can we do? I mean he is Superman," Wally said. "We don't even see the big blue nowadays, let alone talk to him."

Megan said, "Maybe… I can talk to my uncle. He can then speak to Superboy or Superman."

"Good Idea Megan," Robin said. "Our mentors are team mates too. We can ask them to convince Superman to reown Superboy."

"Seriously Robin reown, man you just keep getting worse," KF commented. "Also, good job Megalicious"

"You are just jealous my one liners and phrases are better than yours", Robin said.

Aqualad stopped them before it could escalate. "So, its decided, I would talk to my king and you should talk to your mentors and pressure Superman to adopt Superboy."

With that the Team retired for the night, already making plans on 'how to get Superboy adopted.'
