Hal grunted as he was thrown to the ground, large pieces of concrete scattered all around him. The giant robot that they were fighting, raising a fist to smash the Green Lantern into the ground. Thankfully, Hawkgirl was there to knock it out of the way, as Superman and J'onn charged towards it.

With the flying heroes distracting it, Flash zipped around its feet, unscrewing bolts and screws in an attempt to disable it.

"Who would create such a monstrosity?!" Hawkgirl asked.

"I've been in touch with Lex." Superman grunted, "Unfortunately, he says it looks familiar."

….

On a small boat, in the middle of the sea, Lionel Luther turned dials and pressed pedals, eyes on the screen, as Hawkgirl charged at the robot, successfully managing to knock her out.

As J'onn went to catch her, they both went crashing into the building, both falling to the ground.

Two birds with one stone.

….

Superman flew around the back of the robot, fingers digging into the metal, and prying it apart. "You've only got one shot at this Batman!" he forced out, pulling the metal apart fully, allowing Batman to throw a batarang into the machine, hitting the core and making it explode.

Lightning crackled all around it as gears whirred and screamed in protest.

"Good lord!" Superman cried out, narrowly dodging a lightning bolt, "Batman!"

"On it!"

As the robot started to fall backwards, directly over the unconscious bodies of Hawkgirl, J'onn and Hal, both Flash and Diana leapt to attention, Diana using her lasso to try and keep the robot up, with Flash creating a tornado underneath to help.

Superman and Batman charged forwards, just as there was a flash of light.

And then they were gone.

….

"Ugh…" Flash groaned, "… Did we win? I hope we won because that hurt too much for us not to win."

"Agreed." Hal groaned, stretching his limbs out, wincing when he realised just how many bruises he was going to have later. He looked over at Superman and Batman, who were just rising to their feet as well.

"Where are we?" Diana asked, "It was night when we fought… and now it is at least mid-day. I can't believe any of us were unconscious for so long without one of our loved ones looking for us."

"Agreed." Batman grunted, "Something is obviously wrong." He glanced at them all, "Split up, maybe we can find some clues."

"On it."

Hal took off into the air, going east as he scanned the area, landing near a park, only to frown at the old-fashioned styles that he saw. He heard Barry appear next to him, turning to his friend with a frown.

"There is something not right here."

They both turned to look at a 50's style Alpha male in an old car, flirting with an omega woman on the sidewalk.

"Something tells me we're not in Kansas anymore." Barry muttered. Omega movements had made harassing flirting like that… well not illegal, as the government was run mostly by Alphas, but heavily frowned upon.

An ice cream truck trundled by them, the driver waving cheerfully out the window.

"I haven't seen a truck like that in… well, ever? I think my Dad might have seen them when he was a kid?"

"Do you think we might have got blasted into the past?" Barry frowned, "Because Iris said I'm not allowed to mess with time streams anymore."

Grabbing a newspaper from a nearby bin, Hal looked at the date, "No, the date's right… but look?" He pointed at the name of the newspaper.

"Seaboard City? Where the hell is that?"

And then they heard alarm bells ringing in a large building down the street, a man in a purple suit emerging just as the police pulled up.

"MUSIC MASTER! DROP THE STRADIVARIUS!"

The Music Master (?) smirked, dropping the violin into the bag, "Sorry Sergeant, but I don't take requests." He used his accordion to blow up the cop car, before jumping into a car shaped like a clarinet, and speeding up.

"It's like a comic book villain." Hal sighed, using his ring to stop the car in its tracks, "Not so fast!"

The Music Master looked confused for a moment, before smirking, "Your disguise can't fool me Green Guardsman!"

"Green Guardsman?"

"It's still the same old song." The accordion was brought out again, the blast sending Hal flying into the Music Centre as the Music Master sped off again.

He burst free, using his ring to grab the violin instead as Barry rushed over to him.

"Thanks for the help." Hal muttered, handing him the violin.

"Who was that guy?"

"I didn't recognise him, but did you hear what he called me?"

"Yeah, Green Guardsman… what's up with that?"

"Perhaps you haven't heard…"

They looked up to the nearest rooftop.

"… but in Seaboard City, crime never pays!"

They watched as the newcomer jumped down from the rooftop and headed straight for, electricity crackling around his fist.

Barry saw it coming first, "Wait!" he dodged the first hit, "You've got the wrong- UH!"

The violin fell to the ground as he was punched right into the nearby park.

"Oh, you just made a huge mistake pal!" Hal used his ring to wrench the belt away from the away, which seemed to be the source of his powers.

"No…"

There was the sound of a motorbike, as two more people arrived.

"… you did when you chose to commit a crime."

The woman in the side car jumped out, moving to kick Hal, only to kick a solid chest, and stumble back to the ground.

"Why is it always you two?" Batman sighed as Superman stared down at the woman, giving her a warm smile as she and her two male companions grouped up together.

"I sense we are no longer in Metropolis." J'onn sighed, as they were joined by Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman, both of them nodding in agreement.

"It reminds me of the old comic books Lex collects." Superman mused, "All the bright colours, how everyone is smiling and all that."

Before anyone could make a smart comment about billionaire Lex Luthor collecting comic books, a large, green drill drove in between them, sending them stumbling in different directions, as Hal followed a green beam up to a man floating high above them.

"It can't be." He whispered.

He was Earth's chosen Green Lantern.

Who was this Joker?!

"Surrender villains!"

Hawk Girl was the one to fly up, looking the newcomer right in the eyes and flying towards him, "Whoever you are, you're no Green Lantern!"

She was soon trapped inside a green bird cage, as Barry slowly came back to his senses, gasping at the sight of Hawkgirl trapped like that.

"Hang on Hawkgirl!" He yelled, racing forwards, only to see someone running next to him.

"You're fast son, but villainy can never out-run justice!"

And then he was punched in the face again.

He was getting really sick of that.

As he tried to recover, Hal was under bombardment by a anvil, forced to create a shield around himself.

"I've had enough of this!" He snapped, using all of his strength to push upwards, destroying the anvil as he and the Green Guardsman battled mid-air.

It was chaos.

J'onn was punched into a building by the sparky guy, who was then tackled by Superman. The impact caused rubble to fall from the building, where a young boy had been watching the fight eagerly.

"Kid!"

Ignoring the fight he was currently having with the other speedster, Barry raced over to the collapsing building, grabbing the child and carrying him out of danger, to a safer part of the pavement.

"Gee, thanks Mister!"

"You are very welcome."

Barry didn't notice the stunned look on the other speedster's face, not until the man turned to the rest of the fight.

"Stand down!" He called out, "Everyone stand down!" He gestured to Barry, "Someone who risks his life to save another's, cannot be evil." He looked around at everyone and smiled, "I think our two teams need to talk."
