Chapter 2?

Author's note - Another day another chapter! Really excited to keep on writing about everyone's favorite quintuplets! And thank you for the kind reviews!

Futaro's POV:

After having walked for a short while, having at one point to make a stop for some sandwiches, Itsuki and Futaro finally arrived at the enormous building that housed the quintuplets.

"I-is this whole building your house?" asked a very bewildered Futaro, instantly comparing this building to his run down apartment.

"N-no, we just live on the top floor!" ushered out an embarrassed Itsuki, knowing how luxurious her lifestyle must seem to others.

'I guess that makes a little more sense, but that must still be absurdly high in cost!' was what the new tutor was thinking as they walked into the elevator going onto the top story of the large apartment building, to which they finally reached the entrance of the Nakano household, signified with a gold plate reading 'Nakano' to the right of the door.

"W-well here we are Uesugi-kun, after you." spoke a clearly embarrassed(most likely from the thought of a boy entering her place of residence for the first time) Itsuki, offering him entrance into her apartment, to which he was left speechless at the size and beauty of said apartment.

'I guess Riaha did say they were wealthy, but this is to another level…' was all the boy's poor mind could think of before noticing another girl with a noticeable ribbon protruding out of her hair.

Yotsuba's POV:

Hearing their front door open, Yotsuba quickly took a look at who she assumed to be Itsuki, only to be met with the face of the boy she saw earlier that day at lunch, who was then quickly followed by Itsuki.

'Oh! That's Itsuki's new friend isn't it! Well, it'd be rude not to greet him,' thought the consistently bright and happy girl, who began bouncing over to introduce herself.

"Hi! Are you Itsuki's new friend from earlier today?" spoke the energetic ribbon girl, hand outstretched in a friendly manner, to which was reciprocated after an initial look of confusion.

"Yes, I am Nakano-san's friend and newly appointed tutor, Uesugi Futaro. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." spoke the incredibly polite boy, shaking hands with the genki girl. However, instead of returning the hand shake right away, Yotsuba quickly became frozen in place, eyes widening at the boy's introduction, seemingly a little taken aback.

'Uesugi Futaro? Is that really him? And did he say he's our tutor? He's changed this much?' were the initial thoughts that sped through the girl's head before she quickly recomposed herself "You're our tutor? Well, it's a pleasure to be working under you Uesugi-san!" However, all this comment did was provide more confusion for said tutor.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know I'd be teaching you along with Nakano-san." which was only met with a smiling face that said "Silly, I'm also Nakano-san, although you can just call me Yotsuba!" whilst forming a salute to her newly discovered teacher.

"Huh? I'm sorry, are you two sisters?"

"Itsuki, you didn't tell him?" asked Yotsuba, which was met with a frantic apology from the youngest quintuplet.

"Ah so you're twins. I guess that explains the likeness between you too." spoke the now slightly sweating Futaro, possibly going though the fact that he would have to deal with far more trouble than he initially thought.

"Oh no, we're actually quintuplets! There's five of us!" explained the beaming Yotsuba, slightly happy to have someone her age helping her with her studies and not some old teacher.

'And the fact that it's Uesugi-san that's helping us… I wonder if he still remembers our promise'

"Qu-quintuplets? Hahahaha" was all the boy could say before being overcome with laughter from the insanity of the situation he has found himself in.

"Yotsuba! I think you broke him!" Frantically cried Itsuki, shaking her sister for help.

Futaro's POV:

"Ok so let me get this straight. You two are part of a set of quintuplets, who all look the same? And you all live here together alone? Asked the seemingly exhausted boy sitting on the couch he was led to.

"Yep! And they're all upstairs excited to learn! Right Itsuki?" answered the girl who he now recognized as 'Yotsuba', with the other being the girl he had already become acquainted with, Itsuki.

'Y-yes! I'm sure they're very excited to learn from you, Uesugi-kun." spoke the seemingly nervous redhead.

"I see. Well, can one of you retrieve them so we can start?" questioned the now clam tutor, having now come to bearings with the fact that he's going to have to deal with 5 students.

'It was a fishy deal! I should have known something was off when they offered 5 times the normal rate! Quintuplets? Those actually exist? I mean, really!?'

"Ah, brilliant plan Uesugi-san! Here, follow me so we can go retrieve them!" excitedly spoke the energetic redhead, grabbing his hand and leading him upstairs of the apartment.

"Starting from this end it goes to Itsuki, me, Miku, Nino, and Ichika's room!" explained Yotsuba.

"I really can't believe we have to start our first tutoring session by gathering the 5 of you," sighed Futaro, who was only met with slight laughter from Yotsuba before responding "well, we can start with Miku since you already have me and Itsuki! She's the smartest one out of us all! I'm sure you'll get along just fine!"

"You're our tutor? Why does it have to be someone in our own grade? Are there no decent tutors in town?" asked the girl with the blank expression, who Futaro now knows as 'Miku' signified by the set of headphones placed around her neck.

"Come on Miku! It'll be fun!" urged Yotsuba, trying to get her sister on the side of her tutor, only to be met with an unenthusiastic "No," and thus both Yotsuba and Futaro were quickly pushed out the room and swiftly had the door shut in their faces.

"Well I don't think we got along very well at all."

"D-don't worry! Nino's a social butterfly! I'm sure you two will strike up a brilliant friendship!

All Futaro could do was sigh, already having lost faith in the confidence Yotsuba held for her sisters. He then walked to the door next to Miku's room and proceeded to knock on the door in front of him, which was open for a fraction of a second before being promptly slammed in his face before the boy could even get out a word.

'Alright this is getting irritating.'

"It's fine! We still have Ichika! Just… don't be turned away by her room."

'Why would her room turn me away?' Thought Futaro, although his question was quickly answered when Yotsuba opened the door to the elder sister's room.

"Someone lives here?" was all Futaro could exclaimed, overcome with the, frankly, cluttered mess of a bedroom.

"I wish you wouldn't speak of my room like some sort of untamed land," spoke a bundle of blankets that quickly revealed themselves to be who Futaro surmised to be 'Ichika'. "Good morning, are you here to see Itsuki? You know, you could always ask your onee-san to help you out."

Futaro's cheeks turned a very slight tinge of pink before he regained his composure. "Actually, I have been hired to tutor you and your sisters, so if you would, could you please accompany me and Yotsuba down stairs and we could begin studying?"

"You're our tutor? Why would we have a tutor from our own grade?" questioned the understandably confused Ichika, who was quickly rebutted by Yotsuba saying "Don't worry Ichika! I heard from Itsuki that he's a super Genius!"

"Well, I suppose it could be fun. I'll meet you down in a little bit." said Ichika, seemingly reassured by Yotsuba's vouch for Futaro, and thus gave a 'shoo' motion to kick the two out of her place of dwelling.

'Well at least we got 3. That's a start,' thought Futaro as he began to walk down the luxurious apartment stairs, seeing an Itsuki fidgeting at the table trying to accomplish some problems whilst she waited for the two to return.

'Oh, she's already started on the lessons? If the other 4 are as studious as her, I might make it through this.'

"Hey Nakano-sa-" "P-please call me Itsuki. It would clear up anything when speaking to the five of us. And I'm sure the others would prefer you to do the same"

'I guess that makes sense'

"Well Itsuki, I was wondering if you and Yotsuba could take these little practice tests I have set up, in order to gauge what you girls need help with, and what you can accomplish on your own."

Flinching, Itsuki responded "Y-yeah, that should be no problem Uesugi-kun."

"Alright then, I'll have you two start, and we'll also have Ichika do the same when she comes down here!" spoke the now energetic Futaro, seemingly excited to see how capable his students were.

"Wow...48 points... That's a little low yes... Never mind the fact that that's the score if you add them all together!"

Whilst Yotsuba and Itsuki took the practice quizzes Futaro set up for them, Ichika finally came down and was forced to take a quiz as well, and when the tutor read over their scores, they all suddenly grew much smaller, Ichika falling to sleep and Itsuki on clearly embarrassed with her poor score, and for Yotsuba, well, she just laughed it off.

'H-how can they be this dumb? 48 points isn't even good on it's own, let alone split up between 3 people!' was all the dumbfounded boy could think, in utter awe at the scores achieved by the 3 quintuplets in front of him.

'Well, maybe Miku or Nino might not be as bad as these three, if I were to trust Yotsuba's words. Maybe I'll just call it a day from here and focus on what to teach tomorrow. It would do no good to berate them on their first day.'

"Ok, I'll look over these on my own later today, as I believe I got a good gauge of what you guys need to learn. Oh, and could you three have the other two to take these quizzes? I would like to get a good gauge on what they need to learn as well."

"Sure thing Uesugi-san! Leave it to me!" responded Yotsuba, seemingly confirming Futaro's request.

And with that, the tutor left the apartment suite of the quintessential quintuplets, a little broken by the scores he received from the 3 girls, but confident in his ability to cram information into their heads.

Itsuki's POV:

Once the tutor left the apartment, Itsuki instantly left for her room, utterly ashamed of herself and her performance on the practice quiz she had been given.

'I don't understand… I thought I had studied some of the material last night with Miku. Can I really not even remember simple facts? I'm so sorry that you have to teach such a useless individual Uesugi-kun…'

Thoughts similar to this flooded Itsuki's mind, as she berated herself for her foolishness and uselessness before getting up and opening a biology textbook, determined to try and learn things on her own, although not feeling extremely confident in doing so.

Yotsuba's POV:

"Miku please! He's just trying to help us pass!" pleaded Yotsuba, as she tried to pass on the practice quiz onto Miku, which to no one's surprise, turned down the quiz.

"I believe I already made my stance on the matter clear enough. I don't want to be in your little study group." responded the ever so cold and disinterested quintuplet.

'Shoot, this isn't really going my way. If Miku doesn't join us in studying and fails, Uesugi san might be fired! I let that happen to him, not after he kept his promise!'

"Oh! But he said if you take the quiz you won't have to be taught by him anymore!" spoke Yotsuba, lying as natural as a shark in a mall, or in other words, very poorly.

"Oh?"

"Y-yes! He told us that if anyone got about a 60- no, a 50! He said that if you even get above a 50, he'll give up on teaching you!"

'Sorry to lie on your behalf, Uesugi-san!"

"Fine. I'll put up with the test and hand it to Itsuki so she can give it to him tomorrow, although I'm sure I'll get far above a mere 50." sighed Miku, giving into the challenge put upon her, never one to turn such a thing down.

"Thanks Miku! You're the best!" quickly spoke Yotsuba before enveloping her older sister in a bear hug before moving on to convince Nino to take the same quiz that Futaro had given them.

Nino's POV:

A little time passed and Nino had finally come out of her room now that she was sure that the intruder left their place of dwelling. She was of course then was bombarded by Yotsuba to take the quiz Futaro had given them, and then agreed when told of the sweet 50 point deal. She had then quickly cooked dinner for her family and thus went to call on for her beloved sisters to come down.

"Hey guys! Dinner's ready!" exclaimed the second of the quintuplets, who was eventually met with all but one quintuplet.

'Huh, that's weird. Normally Itsuki is the first one down here."

"Hey, where's Itsuki?" asked the tad bit confused Nino, still expecting the beloved glutton to come rushing down the stairs any moment.

"Oh, I think Itsuki-chan went upstairs to study because of the quiz we took earlier. She might be taking the fact that we did poorly a little hard. Although she did the best out of the 3 of us," quickly responded the eldest quintuplet.

"Well she needs to eat! I'm sure she's starving up there!" hotly exclaimed Nino, before quickly going up stairs to retrieve her youngest sister for dinner.

She then knocked on the door only to be met with silence.

'Huh, that's strange. I'd expect Miku not to answer, but not Itsuki.' were the words that flew through Nino's mind before pushing open her sister's door.

"Hey Itsuki, dinner's ready downstairs if you're hung-" was all Nino could get out before she went quiet at what she saw.

On her desk, Nino quickly spotted Itsuki's head down in a text book, and upon closer inspection, she found that tears had dampened the pages.

'Huh? She's crying? Why?'

Thankfully, or perhaps the opposite, Nino's question was answered rather quickly when she heard Itsuki murmur under her breath "I'm sorry Uesugi-kun..."

'Uesugi? Isn't that their tutor? And he made her cry? How dare he!'

Nino quickly grew infuriated and left the room, but not before placing a blanket over her sleeping sister's shoulders.

She then quietly left the room, having a new drive within her.

'No way am I letting that asshole tutor my sisters if he's going to make them cry like that!' thought the now resolute Nino, before going downstairs to exclaim to her sisters that they would have nothing to do with that tutoring scumbag.

Author's note - Ah geez, Nino doesn't seem very happy! It'll be extremely tough for the homie Futaro to get on her good side now! She's truly a force to be reckoned with! Anyway, any reviews are greatly appreciated, and peace!
