"Uno!" they yelled in unison, an argument sparking between the groups of friends immediately.

"Deku definitely said Uno first," Uraraka stated, a smirk on her face as if the mere statement would solidify her, or rather Deku's, victory.

"You need to go to Recovery Girl and get your ears checked," Mina shouted. "Bakugou definitely said it first. There's no way Deku could have been close enough for that."

"He was though!"

"Bakugou was louder," Mina argued.

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"I couldn't hear Midoriya, therefore, Bakugou wins and Midoriya has to draw four cards."

"FOUR CARDS?" Uraraka shouted. "The rules state that he would only have to pick up two and that's if he didn't call Uno. Which he did!"

"We agreed at the start to go by house rules on this one. Four cards and he did not call Uno first," Mina pointed out.

Kirishima sat back against the couch, a chuckle making its way out of him as he watched the two girls arguing over who has to pick up the cards. He turned his attention to Midoriya, who drew four cards after a silent question to Bakugou. There was a cheeky smile on his face as he did so and Bakugou smirked.

Kirishima was glad that they were getting along better. The whole point of today's game was to bring the two groups together since Bakugou and Midoriya have become friends.

Kirishima laughed again as Bakugou rolled his eyes.

They didn't even care about the two girls arguing.

"Oi, Pikachu, go!" Bakugou shouted, massaging his temples to alleviate the pain the girls fighting brought him.

Deku snickered at Bakugou and Kaminari when the poor dude was confused. "Oh?" he asked, looking back to find that Deku was the one who had grabbed the cards and added it to his hand.

"Why did you grab the cards Deku?" Uraraka asked, voice bordering on a whine.

"I lost."

"You did not!"

"I did. It's okay," Deku stated, kind as usual. He looked down at his hand again, an uncharacteristic smirk taking over his face. "I'll still beat you all and win the game."

He'd been spending too much time with Bakugou, Kirishima decided.

Bakugou spluttered and Kirishima pretended not to notice the blush that spread across his face at the confidence Midoriya exuded.

"What the hell are you on about, Nerd? There's no way you'll beat me."

"Wanna bet?" Midoriya shot back, just as quick, causing Bakugou to turn away, annoyed.

Midoriya merely chuckled and watched as Kaminari placed a yellow three on the pile.

The game only lasted a few more minutes with another shouting match between the girls when Midoriya got another Uno. In the end, they decided that Midoriya had beat out Bakugou and everyone was currently trying to figure out what card Midoriya had left so that he wouldn't win.

Kaminari places down a yellow reverse card, sending it back to Midoriya who just chuckled, placing down a draw four and effectively winning the game.

"Again?" Uraraka whined, a huff passing her lips as she crossed her arms. "That's like... the fourth time."

"Midobro, you've won every Uno game that we've played. Good job man," Kirishima congratulated, patting his back.

Bakugou looked pissed and Iida, wisely, decided that the group should take a break from Uno, from games in general, before anyone died. Kirishima breathes a sigh of relief, glad to finally get a break from Mina's erratic ways.

He should have known better because as soon as the game was put up, Mina gathered everyone around the television in the main room, projecting from her phone, something she wanted everyone to see.

"Where did you get that?" Bakugou angrily asked and Kirishima realized that this would not end well.

"I have my ways," Mina says, bubbly as ever and not understanding the fire she's about to tread through if she continues down this path.

It wasn't a bad picture. It was just Midoriya an Bakugou dressed up for Halloween as kids. It was adorable, but Kirishima knows it's a soft spot for the two, seeing as soon after this was taken, were the darkest years of their lives. Possibly the darkest moments, other than when Bakugou got kidnapped. That had torn them both apart, whether Bakugou wanted to admit it or not.

"It's so cute," Uraraka mumbled, eyes widening, slightly when she realized she said it out loud.

Midoriya blushed, stuttering out a thanks to Uraraka, hoping that it didn't sound too awkward or anything.

"I'm not done, though," Mina squeaked, eyeing the two in question, brow raised at their odd interaction, as she pulled up a TikTok.

Midoriya's eyes widened upon seeing the cover screen of the video and a blush coated his cheeks, so dark Kirishima almost couldn't see his freckles. There was something in his eyes, but he couldn't quite put a finger on what it was. "Y-you don't have to show that to everyone, Mina."

"I want to though," she insisted, blinking lazily at him like that was the most obvious thing in the world, and to her it was. She wouldn't have been showing them if she didn't want to.

Kirishima wanted to laugh though, because of course Mina was too blind to realize that Midoriya was being too nice to ask her not to show the video. He didn't outright want to tell her not to, whether he wanted it shown or not.

Midoriya didn't say anything more on the subject though and Kirishima watched the slight anger bubble inside of Bakugou, heart stuttering at the thought that he could potentially blow the building to pieces if he was angry enough.

"Mina, maybe you shouldn't," Kirishima decided, wanting to stop the inevitable blow up that would happen if she continued.

"Nonsense," she chuckled. "This video doesn't even scratch the surface of the good stuff yet."

The way she said yet had Bakugou tensing, which in turn caused the whole room to tense in nervous fear, and Midoriya's eyes widened impossibly further.

"Wh-what do you mean yet?" Midoriya asked, clearly trying to keep his voice even, but the look Bakugou was giving him proved that the slight tremor wasn't just something that Kirishima picked up on.

"You better not be doing what I think you are," Bakugou hissed, the sound slithering it's way into Kirishima's brain and making its home there, making him worry for Mina's future.

It was clear that both he and Midoriya knew what she was doing and they both were slightly uncomfortable with it, Midoriya more than Bakugou who actually looked a little relieved, even if he still looked more angry.

"It's alright, you guys," she beamed, seemingly blind to everything around her, too invested in her tea.

"Really, Mina. Maybe we should think about this, about what they want," Uraraka argued and suddenly it was very clear that she knew what was going on with Bakugou and Midoriya. She knew and was trying to stop Mina from doing anything too rash.

Mina, though blind to everything else, seemed to pick up on this and was affronted. "You knew and you didn't say anything!?"

"I promised I wouldn't," Uraraka muttered, chancing a look at Midoriya.

Kirishima wondered if it was a promise to Midoriya or a threat from Bakugou. Knowing them though, it was probably both, but she was probably doing it for Midoriya.

The thought made him chuckle.

"What's so funny shitty hair?" Bakugou shouted, the tension spiking in the room and Kirishima had to figure out how to diffuse the situation.

"I think I've seen this one. You two are good," he lied. Bakugou seemed to relax a little and Midoriya smiled so he counted it as a win, even though he's never seen the video and he's glad that it just looked like a dancing one.

"Well, I haven't and I want to," Kaminari said, seemingly not realizing, or caring about, the tension in the room, much like Mina who just decided to play the video.

It was a simple dance, one of the TikTok trends, where the only surprising thing being that Bakugou had dipped Midoriya at the end.

"Ooooh. I have one," Kaminari cheered, showing them an old vine where Bakugou had changed the music to mess up Midoriya's dance, only to find that he had flawlessly switched to ballet.

They were a lot younger then, clearly in one of their weird middle school phases where they hated each other, but not really because they still did videos together.

"Not exactly where I was going with these videos, but I love that, so send it to me," Mina muttered, shrugging. "Alright, next."

She pulled up a picture that instantly had the boys spluttering.

It was a picture, definitely more recent going based off the muscles Midoriya was exhibiting, where they were laid in bed. Bakugou had his arms wrapped around Midoriya, spooning him. The blankets were thrown off, pooled around their feet, showing their legs intertwined tightly against one another. Bakugou's face was pressed into Midoriya's hair, who had a smile on his face.

Frankly, it was adorable, but Kirishima had a bad feeling about where this was going and it was growing ever present.

"Please stop," Midoriya murmured, rather out of character for him, but not in the fun way it was when playing Uno earlier.

Kirishima could see as Bakugou somehow tensed even more, jaw clenched tight, eyes narrowing to slits. He took deep breaths to try and calm himself and Midoriya had grabbed his hand, squeezing it tight so that Bakugou could release some of the tension.

They really did have an odd friendship, but they worked for each other and that's more than Kirishima could ever ask for.

Mina didn't seem to hear them, nor seem to see how close Bakugou was to snapping at her. Instead, she just pulled up another photo of them and Kirishima's hair rose because of how intimate these photos seemed to be getting.

He had an idea of where this was going and based off of their reactions, they didn't want everyone to know.

"Mina," he tried to warn.

"Hmm."

"Maybe you should really stop," he suggested.

"I'm almost done."

"Mina," he tried.

"I'm almost done," she snapped and he stopped trying to argue with her because it was clear he wasn't going to get anywhere with her.

The photo was cute though. It depicted them on a park bench, ice cream in hand and pure adoration on both of their faces.

There was nothing too incriminating yet, but if Kirishima felt like there was anything too much more intimate he'd have to step in.

"Please, Mina. Stop," Midoriya started again, he was shaking slightly. Bakugou's hand had moved to squeeze his thigh in some sort of comfort.

Bakugou's temper flared, the other hand emitting smoke.

Kirishima couldn't help but find it amazing how much control he had over his quirk. He was so incredibly angry at Mina right now, but somehow managed to keep it from igniting on both of his hands and harming Midoriya.

She pulled up another photo.

This one was the both of them watching a movie. Bakugou was resting his head in Midoriya's lap, eyes half lidded, a small, content smile gracing his face. Midoriya was running his hand through Bakugou's hair, lovingly looking down at him.

Kirishima saw Bakugou glance at Midoriya, brow raised, but then he seemed to notice that Midoriya was about to snap and his anger returned, full force.

"Mina," Bakugou warned, already at his breaking point, holding it back for Midoriya.

She ignored him, pulling up the last photo and a shocked gasp ran throughout the room, a cold settling into Kirishima's bones as he realized she'd pushed too far.

Bakugou and Midoriya were locked in a tight embrace, kissing. Midoriya had his arms around Bakugou's waist, pulling him in tighter. One of Bakugou's hand was carding fingers through the hair at the nape of Midoriya's neck, the other gently cradling his face like it was the most precious thing in the world.

The room was silent for a moment as everyone processed what they were seeing. Mina beamed, proudly showing off her findings and Kirishima felt bad for her for a second.

As he predicted, the room broke out into murmurs, talking, shouting.

Then a barely there noise stopped all of it.

A sob.

Midoriya was crying and Bakugou went to reach for his face, to pull him into a hug to comfort him. Midoriya sniffled and pushed him away, running out of the room, wiping tears from his eyes.

Kirishima watched as the pain filtered through Bakugou's eyes, his heart breaking before his entire being hardened and he stormed towards Mina, only having eyes for her, the one who made his Deku cry.

Mina shrank against the couch, finally realizing that she should have stopped, how dire this was.

Everyone watched in silence, not a single noise could be heard as he approached her, fear freezing her to the spot.

Bakugou's breathing was hard, laboured. There was smoke and small explosions coming from his hands. He really looked like he was about to murder her, but another quiet sob cam from the other room.

Kirishima watched, astonished, as Bakugou's shoulders slumped. His face softened, tears brimming his eyes, hands unclenched. Kirishima breathed a sigh of relief, realizing that the building was no longer at risk of collapsing.

Bakugou takes a deep breath, unsettling everyone with how calm he is, most thinking it's the calm before the storm, but Kirishima knows better.

He looks solemn.

Defeated.

"Why couldn't you stop when he ask you to?" he asks, a barely there sound, voice hoarse, like his life had been drained from him.

Bakugou turns on his heel, deciding that he is more suited for taking are of his boyfriend at the moment. He stuffs his hands in his pocket, head lowered, as he walks into the other room.

There is no noise for a second before people start talking again, some wondering how long they've been together, how they could have hidden it so well. Some expressed their concern for Mina's safety when Midoriya is comforted enough.

Kirishima stands, deciding to go check on the two, wanting to ensure that they were okay, that this hadn't broke them.

Kirishima realized that Bakugou had changed for the better. Midoriya was a good influence on him, even though it was obvious that Bakugou was hurt that Midoriya didn't want to tell anyone about them.

Bakugou must really love Midoriya.

As if he read Kirishima's mind, he heard Bakugou tell Midoriya that he loved him.

Kirishima stopped just outside of the kitchen, finding Bakugou with his arms protectively wrapped around a crying Midoriya, a sad, very angry look on his face.

Midoriya whispers something and the anger disappears completely. His eyes tear up, hugging Midoriya tighter and whispered something back to Midoriya as he kisses his hair, eyes closed as a tear, that Kirishima pretends he didn't see, falls from his eye.

He smiles and silently leaves.

Midoriya and Bakugou are too stubborn to let this break them.

They will be fine as long as they have each other.
