Soooo as it turns out you never got Soulmate when it was announced, my apologies! I'll post it tomorrow instead, heheh. For now, as promised, here comes the Goddess :D
What good did it bring to be a Princess of Heart? Kairi stared at the lucky charm in her hand. What trouble it brought, that, she could tell. She lost the one who mattered the most to her. He sacrificed himself to bring her back, and she had to be brought back because she was a Princess with a pure heart.
But did being a Princess help in any way to bring Sora back? She chuckled bitterly. Not in the least. She was powerless, useless in that matter. She could sing to tiny animals or clean the house all day or whatever princesses did, it would not do anything to help. Sora was gone and Princess Charming couldn't bring him back.
That was why she decided she had to become more. She studied very carefully, and became the best version of herself. She would be faster than Ventus. Stronger than Terra. Smarter than Aqua. She would beat Riku on every topic. She would become even better than Sora was.
Fate had decided they should remain apart.
She would beat Fate too.
Being a Princess wasn't enough, and that was why Kairi had decided she would become a Goddess instead. She would learn the ways of magic, of power, of how the fabric of the world worked. She would become the One who could defy what was written, who could beat the odds.
For days, and months, and years, she trained so hard, reaching objective after objective, having collected more knowledge than even Master Yen Sid, more power than all of her friends together.
Over the decades, her name was known in every world, altars built to them, the Mighty One who saved them from impending doom, cured hopeless illnesses, protected those in need.
As she laid in bed, silver hair framing her wrinkled feature, a single tear escaped her sapphire eye.
She had made it. She had done all that could be done. She had saved countless souls.
She had not saved Sora.
What a foolish child, thinking she could defy Fate. What a foolish human, thinking she could transcend Time. What a foolish Goddess, thinking she could beat Death.
She closed her eyes one final time, and Fate, Time and Death took her in their arms.
This foolish soul could finally be reunited with her foolish lover.
And now, as if nothing ever happened, tomorrow is "Soulmate" !
