So…While waiting for that TMNT RPG for which I made Glacier the Arctic Fox Mutant, some friends of mine from the ongoing Pathfinder Campaign I've been playing invited me to a TMNT game they got invited to, DM had a house rule for character creation I really liked since in TMNT you typically determine your Mutant PC's species by random dice rolls for this campaign you got two species rolls the other one was in case you didn't like the other animal you rolled, I got a Domestic Cat Mutant and since she got the 'Raised by Ninja Sensei' background I decided to name her Yuki Japanese for Snow because of her snow white fur over which she has to wear the black ninja clothes so she doesn't shine like a beacon in the night, I had recently watched the Batman the Animated Series episode 'Night of the Ninja' with the Villain being the Ninja Kyodai Ken really influenced my creation of Yuki giving her a single Katana as her weapon as that's what Kyodai wielded in the episode, as Cats are kind of the perfect animal to be Ninjas, once again this is a story told in First Person by the OC, have been reading the book 'Writing Magic' by author of Ella Enchanted Gail Carson Levine and she mentioned how first person can be handy to make a passive-seeming protagonist not seem like a complete doormat when the reader is privy to what's behind their eyes.

For the first few moments after I came to…I couldn't remember how I got there…For a moment I was really scared I had gotten total amnesia and wouldn't be able to remember who I was…Then I checked to see if I remembered my name…I was Yuki…Then I checked to remember who had raised me…OK I remembered that…Why couldn't I remember how I got to this place? Particularly since the place I was in seemed…Dark…Really dark…I could barely see even with my natural night vision, I was breathing but I felt too weak to move…Which really sucked since I seemed to by lying in a cold puddle which was really unpleasant to me because you see…I'm a Cat…A Mutant Cat…It's a really complicated story I'll explain it later….But at that moment I was beginning to panic even though I was too tired to move.

I felt numb, was it because I was cold or was it because of something else? I didn't feel the large gash I had on my right leg, which was really dangerous with all the muck and filth I was lying in.

Really it was a miracle he found me when he did.

Donatello had installed cameras all around the underground he was probably alerted when I crashed in, he came with a lantern and saw me lying among some rotting wood and other refuse…I can only imagine what he felt, after only knowing only the existence of seven Mutant Animals including himself all his life and seeing me…Not just a Mutant Animal but the first female he had ever seen, the fact I wasn't the same species as himself probably mattered very little to him…This was the first time he had ever seen a Mutation of the Fairer Sex.

"My eyes were closed when I first heard his voice "Holy…Shell!" While he was keeping his voice low I could hear the raw shock and amazement in his voice "Are…Are you….Can you hear me?"

The harsh lantern light was causing my head to begin to throb, I opened my eyes slightly and saw for the first time, a different Mutant Animal…A male!

That probably got my fight or flight instincts to send a nice jolt of adrenalin through my system, because instantly my fur floofed up, my tail was like a bottle brush, this Mutant Animal Male was naked except for his accessories (I mean, yeah I couldn't see his naughty bits because of his shell, but you see I had been raised by a human and so I had human body modesty standards drilled into me, so seeing a naked male standing over me while I could barely move was not reassuring)

But he quickly kneeled down to my level and said "Please! Calm down! I won't hurt you! I want to help you! Please don't hurt yourself, you've got a nasty gash on your leg!"

"I do?" I blinked "I…I don't feel anything."

"Shell." The Turtle sighed "You must have really been through something."

"I can't remember how I got here…" I began to say

"You don't have to worry about that now." The Turtle said soothingly "What we have to do is get you out of here and get you cleaned up before…"

Don probably felt he didn't need to finish, instead he scooped me up in his arms,

It was then I realized I couldn't feel something that was usually strapped to my back, "My sword!" I said "I can't feel it! Is it in the water."

Don peered at the spot he had just lifted me from "Yeah I see it." He said "Still in its sheath."

My swords handle and sheath are pitch black which is why it probably blended into the darkness.

Don picked up the sword initially with his foot and with some quick graceful movements without ever having to put me down, he tucked it into his belt next to his bow.

"So…You like swords…" Don said "…Leo is defiantly gonna want to talk to and he might ask if he can examine your sword."

"Who's Leo?" I asked

"My brother." Don said as he began walking "I'm talking you back to where I live with my three brothers and our Father…Our adoptive father…He's a Rat but he took us Four Turtles in…"

I think I blacked out again, that at least saved Don from having to blindfold me as he took me back to the lair.

This is a prequel to the events of our campaign, before Yuki met the other Mutant PCs who consist of an Emu, a Crocodile, a Prehistoric Marsupial called a Thylacholeo (Got a lot of Australian PCs I know) and a mysterious character calling himself Gil Mayberry who claims to be a human but may just be a a Mutant Animal with human looks full (The name 'Gil' makes me think he's something aquatic) I realized in the last campaign I was hinting I had had a history with a certain member of Batman's rogue's gallery before the events of the campaign, once again like the Neozoic Tales Stories and Worlds Collide this story takes place after Season 5 after the defeat of the Tengu Shredder (In my mind the events of Fast Forward and Back to the Sewer never happened but Turtles Forever did happen) the reasons for this is because I realized that if you introduced another Anthro Animal Character sometime during to initial five season run that probably would have changed the course of events so much you would have to rewrite the entire show from that point forward as 2003 TMNT is one of the most tightly plotted cartoon series, a lot more than Batman the Animated Series which has much looser arcs besides I mostly like to introduce my characters after Leo resolves his PTSD like depending on which OC would be around, Leo's outbursts could send the more sensitive ones running away crying and the more irritable ones willing to fight Leo which would probably be painful for both of them also introducing a new friend while they were still feuding with the Foot would give Shredder another loved one to target though with some Mutants that would be more a 'I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me' and would result in many disemboweled Foot Ninja
