So here we reveal some of Dr. Noble's history once again since Dr. Noble is not my creation she's of the Mutants of the Now RPG on Kickstarter by one Julian Kay in her Bio in the PDF it states she had a husband who has recently died of cancer and since there is no mention of them having any children I'm gonna assume they had none

Yuki's POV

Just then someone's stomach began grumbling, actually multiple stomachs, my own and Jonathan's Papa realized we'd be able to concentrate on what he had to say better if we had something to eat.

So we had our breakfast at lunchtime, Jonathan decided to have the congee again since it seemed to agree with him…For me, after all that had happened I decided to have corn flakes and milk even though my carnivore teeth aren't the best for grinding up crunchy cereal, I just felt so warm I wanted something cold to eat, and to get as much milk as possible so in addition to the milk in the bowl I had another glass of milk to wash it down with.

As we ate Papa began telling us what he had learned of Dr. Noble's life via his mystical divination process.

"What drives Noble to find the secret to immortality…Is that very recently her husband, a famed actor died of cancer…"

"Oh geez." April gulped feeling a pang of sympathy

"I mean…" Don said "…That's more understandable than the Shredder's motivation for why he did what he did…"

"Understandable yes…" Papa said "…But sympathetic not so much when you come to understand more about the nature of life the universe and everything…When you come to understand the reason why things are the way they are people like Noble are at most only pitiable and the less sympathy you feel when you understand their actions are more selfish the deeper you get…For you see…Noble and her husband in their time were a very 'fashionable' couple they had no children not because they couldn't, neither one was infertile but because it was 'fashionable' in the jet setting social circles they were a part of to not have any children…Being a childless couple meant you had more time and resources for yourselves…And with all the time they spent apart from each other on their respective careers you kind of ask why they even bothered marrying at all! For the tax benefits? Anyway no her husband is dead and now Noble could not have any children even if she wanted to…She thinks she is happy because she never had any children but deep down in her heart of hearts something primordial in her his screaming with agony and that primal part of her is what is driving her quest to capture Mutant Animals and experiment on them in hopes of finding something to free Humans from all biological constraints but having failed to find the answer in any Mutants she has captured since all she learned is Mutant Animals are as mortal as anyone else…She has turned to an even more insane plan, as Jonathan said make human terrified of their own bodies so they will beg her to liberate them from their meat prisons…She doesn't yet know how to extract the mind from the body…For now she is planning to extract the brains and put them in a hibernative state until a way to extract the mind from the grey matter…She is going insane…She is obsessed with her legacy and all this could have been avoided if she had just had children and fulfilled her ancient human need!"

"Yeah…" Don said as he finished eating "…About what you said about us Mutants bringing the 'penance' to people like Noble who become obsessed with 'fashionable things'" Don hesitated for a moment "Do you really mean we'll punish humans for the crime of being…Gullible fad followers?"

"The fads are becoming less and less harmless Donatello." Papa said "Because you're not part of human society, your knowledge lags behind…You are still thinking of the Yuppies of the 80s and 90s I tell you Donatello far more dangerous things are being planned by people who have even less pure intentions than Noble!"

Mikey's POV

Mikey was running through the barren desert landscape trying to escape the Demonic Crow, he stumbled and fell.

"You'll never escape!" The Crow taunted "For this barren wasteland this toxic place, is your very own soul! A place fitting for one born from toxic waste!"

"That's a lie!" Mikey shouted "You're just trying to mess with my head!"

But the Crow repeated his refrain "Wise up, Give up, Grow up…At least pick a species…"

"Huh?" Mikey cocked his head at that last part he hadn't heard before

Yeah this chapter and the one before it I put some not so subtle social commentary
