City A, 1 Year Ago.
Kick. Kick. Kick.
The Dark Matter Thieves came down from the Skies like Angels of Destruction.
Kick. Kick. Kick.
The Rained Hell on the entirety of City A, reducing the bustling City that took years to build up, in only a matter of milliseconds
Kick. Kick. Kick.
It took the full might of the S Class Heroes (minus Metal Knight and Blast,) and the exploits of 1 lone, bald B Class hero to fight back and defeat the Aliens. But at what cost.
KICK.
A door slammed open with a hinge breaking force. It seemed like it was buried under hundreds of thousands a pounds of debris. Under the door, a woman crawls out. She was covered in dust, a messily caked on layer of micro debris, congesting her lungs, scratching at her badly damaged throat; but she was free. She looked around to find herself in a pitch-black void, there was no sound other that the shifting of dust on her clothes, and a sound of something dripping. The woman blinked in an attempt to adjust to the lack of light, but to no avail. She went back down into the cellar she was trapped in and fumbled around with some boxes. In the darkness she miraculously finds a tiny box full of matches, striking one on the cement that lines the cellar. She stepped out with improved vision, she looked at the walls, dark, purplish metal seemed to create a hallway that seemed to go down to infinity.
Now that vision is no longer that dire of an issue, now we she went to the next cause of concern. Water. She was dehydrated, being suck in the cellar for what seemed like days, she hadn't eaten or drank anything. She walked, and walked, and walked. The more she did, the more tired and thirsty she got. Match after match. She was running low on the only supplies she had; she knew if she stopped or closed her eyes for too long, she'll pass out, with no hope of being found. She walked and walked on, one straight direction.
The woman looked at the condition of her last match, it burned down, it began to heat up her already ruined nails. She began to run down the hall, wanting to find the exist before the match completely burned out. But as she did, the momentum caused her match to burn itself out. She paused to look at her last, burnt-out match; she couldn't see it, but she could smell the wooden cinders emanating off of the dead match. All hope was lost to her, she was now alone in the dark; hot tears began to well up in her eyes. She doesn't know if she was alone, people don't fear being alone in the dark, they fear NOT being alone in the dark. She walked a few steps forward and ran into a wall, the end of the hallway. However, to her left there was a low, but noticeable glow. She decided to begin running towards the light without a second thought, and what she saw brought her to tears.
A pond in the middle of what seemed like an endless labyrinth. It was glowing a faint pink color, but she didn't care, it had the same fluidity as water and it tasted like water, to her it was water; she'll deal with the ramifications of her actions some other time. She drank 5 handfuls of this "water" before a member of the Blizzard group dealing with Body Recovery found her in a buried part of the Dark Matter Thieves' Ship. That was the event that got her to join the Blizzard Group in the first place, the same group that Warmonger joined sometime later, she was actually one of the heroes that were selected when the Hero Registry Exams opened back up for Warmonger. But unbeknownst to her at the time, the liquid she drank wasn't water, but instead it was the fluid that ran through the ship's power sphere that was destroyed when Boros and Saitama fought to the death on that faithful day.
Flash forward to the present day, Andromeda now an official part of the Hero Association and the Blizzard Group. She is only a human but climbed her way from C Class to B within a matter of a few months. She is not much in terms of unique powers or insane strength, but she can still go toe to toe with a Tiger level threat no problem.
Andromeda carried a brown bag full of groceries to what seems to be an abandoned, run-down building. She glances around before walking through the backdoor. She was the given 2 options to go to the roof, he ultimate destination. Elevator or Stairs. She glanced at both options before settling on walking 30 flights of stairs, without hesitation. After what happened in City A and being trapped in a cellar for 2 days, she had developed a severe fear of tights, enclosed spaces, aka Claustrophobia. She walked up the stair with ease without even dropping a sweat before opening the door to the roof. There she saw 3 other members of her Blizzard Group: Lily, Mountain Ape, and Eyelashes; The Trusted Elites.
"Alright guys I got your stuff. Apple Juice for Lily, Sake for Mountain Ape, and A Sports Drink for Eyelashes." As she handed off the drinks to their respective people, only Mountain Ape and Lily thanked Andromeda. Eyelashes only looked off into the distance. "Hello? Anyone home?"
She knocked on the top of his head, only receiving a huff from him, still no Thank You.
"Oh, he's cool, isn't he cool? 'Hey, I'm Eyelashes, and I think I'm cool.' Oops he's wearing fucking Bunny Slippers." The tanner woman pointed at her superior's comically pink bunny eared slippers that contract horribly with his serious back and white professional attire.
Eyelashes only groaned at the remark, seemingly embarrassed about the fact he is wearing pink, big, fluffy slippers.
"He got his shoes soaked in mildly corrosive acid. Like, jeez, you would have wiped it off with your hand no problem, but NOOO, Mr. Eyelashes was too busy fighting a monster to wipe it off." Lily said, shifting the sippy cup straw to the side to belittle.
Eyelashes began to get irritated as a visible tick mark appeared on his temple.
"Oh, I forgot, he didn't wipe it off because he got a concussion, after a piece of rock clonked him on the top of the head, all he said to me was, 'Mama, I don't want any bento-'" Mountain Ape was about to giddily continue but Eyelashes snapped his head around to the trio.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP. YOU'RE ANNOYING." Eyelashes screamed out enraged at the constant pestering by a subordinate and his teammate.
The trio tried their best to hide their laughter but stop abruptly when an explosion went off in the distance, causing a shockwave that shattered the windows below him and knocking Lily backwards from her chair, causing apple juice to spill all over the floor. Eyelashes puled out a pair of binoculars to look off into the distance.
"Shit, that looks like it came from the town square which means that's a monster. Andromeda, I need you to go to base and-" As Eyelashes turned back to look at Andromeda, his face physically dropped into one of sheer terror.
Everyone turned slowly to see what Eyelashes was staring at. There at the edge of the roof that they stood on, a lizard with thick, black hide covering its eyes and back, with ugly, rotting brown skin that enveloped its arms and snout. Its mouth was gaping open, crimson red saliva was stuck on the roof of his mouth, dripping down to its tongue, as if it had just finished chowing down on a group of civilians. The Blizzard Group heroes didn't move for a solid minute as explosion continued to rock the foundation of which they stand on in the distance. Suddenly, behind the thick, raggedy black hide of the Monster, a singular green eye can be seen. Its eye snapped onto Andromeda, who was attempting to not tremble in fear at her proximity to the Massive Beast.
It began to snarl, a low, ugly sounding rumbling coming from the belly of the beast. Suddenly it snapped its enormous jaws at Andromeda who jumped backwards to avoid getting decimated. However, the speed and the size of the snap caused a massive gust of wind, knocking back all 4 people on the roof to the street. In midair, Mountain Ape grabbed Eyelashes and Lily, intent on using his own body as a cushion for both of them. However, Andromeda was just a bit too high for his reach, and she just slipped by his big hand. Mountain Ape watched as Andromeda flew across the entire intersection and crash into another, equally rundown building. Her body crashed into the wall, and the entire south section of the building to collapse on top of her. Mountain Ape only watched but could process what had happed. Either way, he wouldn't have time to thin because a split second after Andromeda's crash, he ended up crashing onto a red car himself, definitely not killing him, but most definitely taking him out of the fight.
Lily and Eyelashes crawled out of Mountain Ape's clutches, completely unscathed. They look up, seeing the Lizard sticking to the side of the building. It sees them as they backed up; it leapt from the side of the building, crashing down on the two heroes; Lily and Eyelashes both roll out of the way, but in different directions. The Lizard Monster acted like a border between the two heroes, and the one who was in the Monster's blind spot was Eyelashes. Lily stared at the large, singular emerald eye of the Lizard Monster. She unracked her three-section staff, ready to make her last stand, although she would be lying if she wasn't afraid. She stood her ground, but internally, the particular situation she finds herself has not developed to her advantage. The Monster snarled, prepared to turn, and break her in half. But the second it did Eyelashes jumped from the monster's blind spot and knocked Lily of out of the way.
SNAP
Eyelashes let out a scream of agony as he fell back down to the concrete.
"Ah. AH. My leg, my fucking leg…" Eyelashes growled as he writhed on the floor. "It bit my leg off!"
Lily looked at her partner's leg, it was definitely mangled in incomprehensible ways, but it wasn't completely severed, but that wouldn't matter if he bled out and died or got eaten completely by the monster.
"Your leg is still there. Hold on this is gonna hurt!" The surprisingly strong 15-year-old lifted Eyelashes up by his chest and flipped themselves over, hiding behind a black car.
Eyelashes's decimated leg landed first, causing him to yelp in pain. Lily's breath was heavy, but she still pulled out a phone from her right pocket, and speed dialed someone.
"Hello?" A voice came from the other end of the line.
"Hello, Warmonger? Where are you?"
"City A, I'm in a meeting. What do you need?"
"We were ambushed by a monster! Mountain Ape is down… Eyelashes is down… Andromeda…" a light pause, her voice began to tremble looking around for Andromeda. "I don't know…"
"Where are you?" Warmonger's voice turned cold and unnaturally calm.
"Near the city center of City N!"
"…" There was only brown noise coming from Warmonger's end of the line.
"Hello? Warmonger? HELLO?" Lily cried out, trying to get Warmonger to respond.
"…" Nothing. No response.
Beep.
The call disconnected, and Lily was left alone with no response. Eyelashes had already lost consciousness from either the pain or the blood loss, but showed no signs of actually going into shock, which means he's still got time. Suddenly, Lily heard the snarl of the monster, and knew it was going to pounce on something, or someone. She grabbed Eyelashes by the collar and yanked him away from the car, just as the Lizard grabbed the entire car using its gaping mouth, thrashing it around, and reducing the entire car to scrap metal. Lily glanced around and saw Mountain Ape's unconscious body, miraculously, still in one piece and out of the view of the Lizard Monster.
You're the only one left standing Lily. Lily began to coach herself despite a creature of pure carnage was staring her down. Warmonger will get here eventually… So will Miss Fubuki. She shakily opened her three-section staff, once again ready to make her last stand, without the help of anyone around her. If this beast wants some… Let it come.
"Come get some you Ugly Piece of SHIT!" Lily roared as the sun broke through the clouds.
However, another explosion behind her knocked her forward with such violence that she slammed her face on the concrete; she stood up, winded and cut, but ultimately, she was fine. She looked up, and her eyes shot wide open at what she was seeing. A woman with a tattered white button up shirt and black slacks stopped the monster from devouring Lily with just one hand. The woman's black hair flowed mysteriously, and her right hand seemed to have glowing orange and purple veins.
The woman's entire body began to glow in mysterious colors and suddenly, with the swift swipe of her right pointing and middle finger, the entire head of the Lizard Monster exploded with a strobe like lightshow. Photosensitive Beware.
Lily stood there, starstruck at that what just happened. Without hesitation she walked over to her savior.
"E- Excuse me… Who are yo-?" Lily was cut off when the woman turned around to face her.
Her tan complexion clashed with her eyes, her irises seemed to change color slowly, from one unnaturally bright color to another, her face was stoic, even when the arteries on her neck glowed through her skin. Even under all of that, Lily still instantly recognized her.
"A- ANDROMEDA?" Lily screamed out in half relief/half fear, wondering what had happened to her.
However, her train of thought derailed itself as 3, jet like wooshes flew overhead, causing dust to be kicked up from their sheer momentum. The first to descend was graceful, light as a feather, and elegant: Blizzard of Hell. The second one to descend did a violent crash that sent more shockwaves to shatter more windows dramatically: Warmonger. And the third one was neither elegant nor dramatically destructive, it just looked like some bald bozo decided to drop in to see what was up: Caped Baldy. They all stood shoulder to shoulder to each other, shrouded in golden sunlight, as if they were descending from heaven to assist Lily in her most dire time of need.
"Where is the Monster?" Fubuki asked in a cold and calculating tone, ready to tear any monster who threatens the lives of the members of her group.
"I... Uh…" Lily turned around, intent on pointing at the carcass of the monster that Andromeda just eviscerated, but as she did, she noticed the Lizard's head was reformed, bloodier, but still reformed, with Andromeda distracted by the entrance of Blizzard, Warmonger, and Saitama. "ANDROMEDA! WATCH OUT!"
Andromeda turned around and looked up, watching as the gigantic jaws of the Lizard Monster began to bear down on her, but suddenly she felt herself be tackled out of the way with lightning strobing around her. Warmonger pushed her to safety as Saitama, punched the monster's body, completely disintegrating it down to its last atom. Warmonger looked back to see Saitama's smoking fist with his bored face habitually plastered on his face. Midori sighed to himself before feeling a hand grip his hair. He felt the surprisingly strong hand turn his head to face Andromeda who decided to punch him in the nasal socket, shattering his orbital bone, causing Midori to jump back and grip his now flattened face in pain.
"I could've taken care of myself!" Andromeda screamed at Midori.
Through the blood entering his sinuses and mouth, Warmonger gurgled out. "That monster was a threat level Demon… How the fuck did you get so strong?"
The question seemed to soften the stern look on her face, her breathing began to get shallower as if all of the events that led up to the situation, she finds herself in had finally processed in her brain, on the verge of an existential crisis.
"I don't know!" She choked out.
"We'll come back to you later, right now we need to get Eyelashes and Mountain Ape to the hospital, asap!" Fubuki yelled while she makes a psychic cast for Eyelashes's shattered leg.
"Santa Merda!" Warmonger said as he watched his former helper run around a track.
She was still woefully slow compared to the 4 heroes in the room (Fubuki, Genos, Saitama, and himself.) But for a Class B, for someone who is so low in Class B, her speed had spiked astronomically. Not only that but her strength did too! This newfound power might cause her position in the Hero Association to also jump.
"How did she get so strong Doctor?" Fubuki asked, looking towards Doctor Kuseno who was swiping a tablet.
"I ran some tests on Miss Andromeda's Blood and made some truly peculiar discoveries." He projected something on the screen, it had many bar charts and graph. "Her blood is like any other human's blood, with red and white cells, plasma and platelets. However, there's a 5th, unidentifiable part to her blood. There is no human with this in their blood."
Doctor Kuseno projected another image. The image he projected was a digital recreation of the cells in Andromeda's blood, but there was one that stood out. It looked like, less like a cell and more like a nanobot, however, instead of being a destructive force, it worked to cause Andromeda's body to form mysterious powers.
"Whatever is giving Miss Andromeda this power is a force not from this world…"
"From this world? So, what are we saying, that Andromeda isn't from this planet, isn't human?" Fubuki asked, not noticing Midori's uncomfortable shift.
"It may be a possibility, the Alien Invasion of City A last year and the Demon Invasion proved that there are extraordinary or mysterious beings from other planets or forms of reality." Genos concluded.
"That is highly unlikely. Andromeda was born from Human Parents!" A confused Fubuki argued.
"Look guys. I don't think the Doc is saying that Andromeda isn't human. She was up until this morning… And I'm sure she is still a human now…" Midori interjected, peering at a tired Andromeda, sitting on the track after her 25th lap.
The entire group, including Andromeda tried to piece together how in the world she suddenly manifested these powers, none of them ever learned about what she experienced and drank on the destroyed Dark Matter Thieves Ship. Yes, the same glowing liquid that a dehydrated Andromeda drank a year ago has finally awakened an unexplainable, immeasurable power within her. Now, the question is…
What's going on in the Other Side?
"My Queen. We have identified the most powerful being on Earth, it appears that He has taken the form of a simple man in a yellow suit and is Bald. What should my next directive be?" The Being asked his Queen, Polunochnitsa.
The Lady of Midnight hummed to herself, once again remaining in the darkest part of her pitch-black chamber. She raised her finger and opened her unnaturally big toothy smile.
"Drag him to the Otherside, Schrodinger… Then, release The Boilermaker to wipe everyone whom he made acquaintance with off the face of the planet!" She cackled.
"My Queen, are you sure we can trust The Human?" Schrodinger asked his Queen.
Polunochnitsa couldn't help but sigh, before extending he vantablack arm to caress the face of the now frightened Schrodinger.
"Schrodinger, oh my sweet, sweet Schrodinger. The Boilermaker has been my agent for centuries, he will not switch allegiances now that He is here. Once we send him to the infinite void of the Otherside. The Boilermaker will do what he loves most…"
To make people no longer exist…
