Additional note: Hello everyone. I'm currently going through some writer's block with both New Tricks and A new afterlife. There's many directions in which I could take them and I just don't know how to proceed. Never the less I fully intend to continue both stories, it just may be a while before I finally update them. On a different note, I'm gonna try to use more paragraphs and spacing because as mentioned in a recent review that seems to be my biggest shortcoming. This has been a partial contribution to the afermentioned writer's block. I'm not entirely comfortable (in fact I'm not comfortable with it at all) with it, but I am giving it a try regardless. I might stick with/use the current writing formula for certain things including my currently unfinished stories. Anyways here's a Danny and Kitty one shot. It's based off the episode Lucky in Love but I am giving it my own twist. It won't follow the events of the episode to the letter, it's just based off of it. I will be trying this new writing format here to see what people might think of it. Enjoy the story.
Everyone was at the water park today and while they raced around having fun, a silhouette of a man was leaning against a wall. Suddenly the shadow grinned and morphed into a Shadow like monster before flying off. All the while Danny and company where there too, intent on having some fun in the sun.
"Nothing beats a day like this." Danny said relaxed and happy because of the lack of ghost activity throughout the day. The last week had been filled with nothing but ghost attacks and now it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
"No kidding man. You got swimsuits, babes, and the occasional chance to administer mouth to mouth." Tucker said as he used some breath spray. "Can someone tell me why we had to come here of all places?" Sam said as she wore a black cape and sun hat covering her face.
Danny looked at her and chuckled teasingly. "Your looking a little sweaty there Sam. Can't take the heat?"
"We goths don't sweat. We simmer."
"I think your overcooked." Danny noticed a repugnant oder coming from his friend.
She raised her arm up and smelt herself. "Oh boy, I stink. And that's another reason to not be outside." She excited exclaimed and retreated to the lady's room. Dash and Kwan came up soon. "Hey nerds, hold our place in line." Dash said with a grin. Danny rolled his eyes. "How can I? I'm in front of you."
"Not anymore." Dash and Kwan shot the losers into a fountain with water guns before laughing while running off. "Well, this is humiliating." Danny groaned in annoyance. "But oddly refreshing." Tucker added the two before heard an unwelcome noise. "But that isn't."
"Aaaaahhhhh"
Screams could be heard as citizens panicked. Johnny's Shadow was terrorizing the park.
"Oh great. And here I thought I could have a ghost free day." Danny ran towards the bathrooms and was about to go in. When suddenly Paulina and Star exited.
"Hello, Ladies room. I'd tell you to go to the men's room but I don't think you'd qualify." Paulina mocked and then high fived star, proud of her little burn.
Not bothering to even respond to them, he quickly ran behind the park map and transformed. And then promptly charged in to take on the Shadow. "Hey tall, dark, and formless. Remember me?" Danny charged at the shadow only to intercepted by a punch to the gut. The shadow continued to attack by slamming Danny around the park and screaming in his face. "I'll take that as a yes."
The shadow charged at a sharp part of the fence that lined pool, intent on impaling the boy.
"Come on Slick, let's see how you handle water."
Danny flipped them both into the pool and reappeared by the drain valve where he flushed the shadow down the pool.
"Enjoy your trip through the sewers. Oh and if you see Monday's meatloaf. Say Hi for me."
Danny transformed back to human form and hopped over the fence.
"Danny, your the ghost boy?"
Danny ran away in a panic. He soon got back to Sam and Tucker. "Guys, we've got a problem." Danny said freaking out. "And that would be?" His goth friend asked suspiciously.
"Paulina saw. She knows I'm half ghost. I finally get to see her in a swimsuit and I can't even enjoy it."
"Paulina. I just had a nasty run in with her in the bathroom. She's the rudest lit-"
"Danny, Sam, whatever your name is. Hi." Paulina ran up and greeted them. Approaching Danny in particular only to be intercepted by Sam.
"Listen you. I don't know what you think you just saw but if you do or say anything to hurt Danny."
"Oh don't get your bat wings in a bundle. Danny why'd you run? I know I freaked you out by finding out your secret, but I won't tell."
"How can I trust you?" Danny said surprised. He figured that someone like Paulina would tell the whole world.
"Because now it's our secret." Paulina bopped him on the nose flirtatiously causing any questioning doubts to be put to rest for the moment.
The next day at lunch, Danny and Paulina were sitting together. "I'm really happy that your cool with this Paulina. But everyone is kinda staring at us." True to his word, the two we're surrounded my many other students all staring at them because they don't have a life of their own.
"That's because your with me now." Paulina said causing an obsessed loser to run out crying.
"And speaking of which. How would like to go to a bowling party with me this Friday night?"
"You mean like a date?" Danny asked with a dumbfounded smile.
"Not like a date. A date."
"Sure, I'd love too." Danny accepted with no hesitation.
Friday night at the bowling alley. Paulina had just missed completely and a couple of guys laughed at her.
"Oh Danny, I'm so embarrassed. Could you give me a little invisible help."
"But isn't that cheating?" She responded by kissing him on the cheek.
"More like creative point scoring. I'll be right back after your strike." Danny raced off to find a place to transform.
He then used his powers to help guide the ball right in the center. reappearing next to his new girlfriend.
"Your the best boyfriend ever." Paulina exclaimed happily kissing him on the cheek.
Later on the two lovebirds had gone for some fresh air and we're standing by the side of the bowling alley.
"If you like me, kiss me." Paulina spoke flirtatiously.
"I'm the luckiest guy in the world." Danny said dreamily and happily as he leaned in.
Suddenly a very angry Johnny came riding up the street on his motorcycle, stopping right in front of them.

In response to his outburst, a ghost exited Paulina's body revealing herself to be Kitty.
"Beat it Johnny, I'm Danny's girl now."
Danny caught the now unconscious Paulina in his arms. "Kitty? Johnny? Paulina? Oh great, I'm caught in the middle of a love rectangle."
After a few moments, Paulina slowly started to regain consciousness alerting the green haired ghost biker to her mistake. "Whoops." She wasted no time overshadowing the vain latino girl once more.
"Now where were we?" Kitty said now back in Paulina's body as she leaned in for a kiss.
"Uh, this is all a big mistake."
"Yep, your last one." Johnny said as he whistles summoning his shadow.
The shadow came out of the bowling alley wall and formed some claws as it prepared to rip Danny a new one.
"I'm going ghost." Danny declared as he transformed into his phantom alter ego.
The shadow grabbed Danny with its tail and flung him far away from the other two ghost's. It then went after it's prey.
"Come on Kitty. Quit wigging out and come back to me. I'll be good."
"Forget it lowlife."
Somewhere up in the air. Danny and Shadow we're flying through around. With quick movements around an antenna pole, Danny tricked the shadow into trapping itself around the object.
Angered by this the shadow effortlessly broke free and threw the antenna at Danny but it went right through the ghost boy.
The shadow charged right at Danny, but disappeared with a shriek of pain as a light hit it.
"Do your thing man. I got your back." Tucker said from the roof as he pointed the light away.
"Get down here Foley!" His new girlfriend Star screamed in annoyance.
Back down on the streets Johnny grabbed Paulina and forced her onto the back of his motorcycle.

Johnny took flight on his motorcycle. But Danny caught up to them quickly and grabbed Kitty, he then flew away landing on a grassy hill. "Oh Danny I knew you'd come back for me." Kitty said as she kissed him on the cheek.
Johnny flew back down towards them. "Alright that's it. You want her runt? You can keep her." He said as he used a piece of tech on his motorcycle to create a ghost portal and left.
"He can ride in and out of the ghost zone now?"
"He stole some doo dad from your Dad's lab last time he was here. Then he wired it to his bike. But is that really what you want to talk about right now?" Kitty leaned in to kiss him on the cheek again.
"No we should probably talk about something a little more important." Danny said before picking her up and flying her back to Fenton works.
Later on back at the lab. Danny had her sitting in a chair, wanting to get to the bottom of things.
"Look Danny, I didn't wanna cause you any trouble."
"Your about eight shadow attacks too late. What's the story?"
Kitty sighed and began to explain.
"It's like this. Ever since Johnny modified his bike to come back here, I've been nagging at him to take me back."
"The cities sights we're so exciting. Unfortunately Johnny was taking in the sights too. And by sights I mean every single girl in town. I remember how much Johnny couldn't stand you so I thought I'd use you to make him jealous." Kitty explained everything.
"Your gonna have to stop this. It's not fair to Paulina." Danny said in a serious and firm tone.
"I could do that or maybe Paulina will slip up and tell everyone that Danny Fenton is the ghost boy." Kitty's voice shifted back to Paulina's to emphasize her threat.
"Or maybe you could um... not do that?" Danny said nervously as he realized what leverage the chick had over him.
Kitty stood up and approached handing him a note. "Meet me at this location tomorrow at 8pm sharp. If you don't." She chuckled deviously before leaning in and whispering into the halfa's ear.
"I will tell everyone that your the ghost boy."
Without giving him a chance to respond, Kitty promptly left.
Danny was frustrated with her now. He went up to his room. "Why'd it have to be me who gets caught in this shit? I thought it was Paulina not some ghost bitch trying to use me." He clenched his fists in anger as he sat on the bed and reflected on the events of the last week.
The next night Danny had begrudgingly went to the location that was on the note.
'Huh? Is this a hotel? Why would she want to meet me here?' He pondered in confusion.
Danny looked down at the note and saw that it said room 108.
'That must be where she is.' Danny started to walk around and got a weird look from a couple on the upper floor.
"That kid's a little younger than most of the people who come here." Said a man staring downwards.
"Oh who are we to judge? Our relationship isn't exactly wholesome now is it?" Another man said as he wrapped his arms around his secret lover.
"Your right Vladdy." The first man turned around and they started to make out passionately as they stumbled back into the bed.
Meanwhile Danny finally made his way over to the room number and waited for a few seconds before his presence was acknowledged by the one he was meeting with.
"Right on time baby." He felt a chill run up his spine as she came up behind him and was practically breathing down his neck.
Danny took a step forward slightly panicked by her violation of his personal space and turned around to face Kitty. 'She's not overshadowing Paulina?' Danny thought surprised as she stood in her natural ghost form.

"Danny. This isn't just a normal hotel."

Danny begrudgingly obeyed and leaned against the headboard with his arms crossed and a glare fixed on her.

Danny attention turned towards the ceiling as another ghost phased through it and materialized before him. An enemy that he was neither too familiar or unfamiliar with because he had only encountered her once yet she still left quite an impact with that single encounter.
"Ember?" Danny asked surprised.
"Yo Dipstick. What's up?" She greeted him with a relaxed smile.
"Ember is going to be filming our little love session. When Johnny see's it he is gonna be more jealous than ever."
Danny's eye's widened in shock once more. "You can't do that. It would be humiliating as hell."
"Would you rather I tell everyone your secret. Last I checked your parents are ghost hunters aren't they? And they have Danny Phantom at the top of their list too don't they? Wouldn't it be ashame if they found out that you and phantom are one in the same." Kitty taunted him maliciously.
'They would try to vivisect me if they found out the truth.' Danny thought fearfully. He finally started to piece together everything and realized he wasn't going to get out of this without some nasty repercussions.
