Enzo wakes up first, blinking up into the darkness of his bedroom. He yawns and turns his head, watching for a few moments while Cass sleeps. He smiles and kicks the sheets off before pulling himself out of bed, stretching lazily while padding through the apartment. He squints at the tree they'd just put up last night, still waiting to be decorated to the fullest. Convenient thing about having a seven foot tall boyfriend, putting the star in place was never an issue. He smirks and continues on to the kitchen, starting up a pot of coffee.

He's still leaning on the counter, listening to it percolate, when large hands wrap around him and tug him back into a firm hug. "Why'd you get up?" Cass grumbles into his ear and Enzo chuckles, turning to quirk an eyebrow at him.

"It's Christmas Eve, Cass, and we gotta go visit family later," he reminds him, ghosting his fingers up and down Cass' sides, causing him to release a breathless laugh at the ticklish sensation.

"Zo," he warns him, gripping Enzo's hands in his and squeezing slightly.

"Yeah, yeah," Enzo rolls his eyes, pulling free and turning as the coffee finishes. He even pours Cass the first mug, since he's such a nice guy and all. "Here ya go," he chirps, handing it over.

"Thank you," Cass mumbles, breathing it in. "So what else do ya wanna do today?"

"We still gotta finish up the tree," Enzo muses, staring up at him over his own mug of fresh coffee. "Watch some festive crap, maybe. Anything you can think of?"

"Nah," Cass mumbles, almost inhaling his mug. "Think you just about covered it all."

"Yeah." Enzo nudges Cass' foot with a smirk. "Hey."

Cass opens one bleary eye and peers down at him. "Hey."

"I'm proud'a ya, you know? How much ass you've been kickin' in Impact, about to become World champ over there. I, uh." He licks his lips uncertainly. "Wasn't sure where we were gonna be a couple years ago, but yeah. Things are, like, really, really good right now. You're amazing."

Cass stares down at him for a few, quiet moments, before putting his coffee down and gripping Enzo's hips, tugging him closer. "I'm proud of you too," he says softly, gazing intensely at Enzo. "You're still determined to make it, somehow, someway, even when everything works against you, and you never give up. It... it gives me the strength to keep trying, even on the harder days."

Enzo blinks, then reaches up and tugs Cass down, kissing him heatedly. "Tree might have to wait a bit," he says against Cass' mouth.

Cass laughs.
