Quinn took a breath as she studied the outside of Finn's hospital room. She takes another deep breath exhaling slowly, as she steadies her nerves. She needed to do this today, she'd put this off for far too long. And as much as she wanted to pretend that she was better than her family, that she was more noble than they were, she knew the truth was that she wasn't. She knocks on the door, and pokes her head in, watching as Finn turns to look at her and immediately tries to sit up, despite the fact that she had heard that he had three broken ribs.
"Quinn," Finn said flashing her a smile, clearly pleased that she had come to see him. "Did you finally get discharged?"
Quinn nods as she takes a seat beside his bed, "After getting thoroughly chewed out by the doctor. Something about how I haven't been medically cleared."
"Well it looks like we won't be medically cleared for awhile." He frowned and eased back down, taking the pressure off the ribs that were broken. He reaches for her hand and frowns when she immediately pulls it back, "Quinn?"
She had played this conversation over and over again in her head, but when he looked at her with his usual sad puppy dog eyes, she can't help but blurt it out. "I like women." She immediately covers her mouth, the words had mostly come tumbling out. And if she wasn't careful, she was going to end up blurting out that she had been seeing Rachel.
Finn blinked, confusion crossing his features as he stared at Quinn. "Huh?"
Quinn takes a deep breath again, "I'm attracted to women. I know you've been worried that I'm cheating on you with Sam but the truth is—I just like women. Like you like women."
Finn stared at Quinn wordlessly for a moment, taking the moment to let that new piece of information sink in. "But we're supposed to get married—"
"That's why I'm here Finn, I don't want to marry you it's why I've been putting it off. I just—I can't do that to myself and I can't do that to you anymore." Quinn watches as anger and hurt flash across Finn's face.
"You're breaking up with me?" His cheeks go a rosy red color and he grimaces as he sits up.
"Yes. I am." Quinn said calmly, she could deal with his anger better than she could deal with his sadness.
Finn closed his eyes before opening them again and narrowing them, "How long did you know?" When Quinn doesn't answer he frowns. "So, all of this was just a ploy to rise through the ranks? Using me?"
"Finn my last name is Fabray. My grandfather is on the council, my aunt is one of the highest ranked female Templars in the organization. My father is—was the commander of this base. I didn't need you to climb through the ranks in fact if anything it hurt me. I should have been more focused on my career instead of helping yours. You'd be in Sam's rank if it wasn't for me helping you and I'm not upset about that. I wanted you to succeed, I still do."
"I'm a Hudson—"
"Which doesn't carry as much weight as you think it does. If you don't believe me ask your mom, she knows." Quinn interrupted. She immediately felt guilty, this wasn't how she wanted to let him know, and throwing his father's past misdeeds in Finn's face wasn't how to make this an amicable split. She had hoped that Finn would be more understanding but she was blowing up a relationship she'd been in since she was 16. He had every right to be angry and confused. "I should have told you sooner. I was hoping that you'd break up with me and I wouldn't have to do this, but current events in my family have proven to me that secrets destroy lives and I'm done pretending to be someone that I'm not, I'm done hiding things Finn. I know you're upset and honestly if our roles were reversed right now, I'd be angry as well but we both need to be happy and I know you're not happy with me as of late. So, I know this is for the best, even if you can't see it right now." Quinn quickly stands. "I do hope that we can be friends Finn, I mean you were my best friend. I do like you, just not the way I think you want me too."
With that Quinn walked out, she hoped that Finn wouldn't tell everyone but she was only going to take it in stride. She was done hiding.

"So—"
Quinn tore her eyes away from the screen where she was watching one of her twin's training sessions. It looked brutal, there seemed to be no care for her general well-being. The sharp blow to the face, had sealed her eye shut, blood dripped down her face. Looking at Sam was easier than watching her twin getting abused.
"Are we going to talk about the elephant room, or are we going to pretend that this isn't happening?" Sam asked.
"There's nothing really to discuss. We find her and I give her to my grandfather so she can live out her life on a farm or whatever my grandfather has planned, and I transfer out of this shithole. You can come with me if you want," Quinn stated bluntly turning her attention back to the video, flinching when Charlie gets a backhand across the face knocking her out.
Sam stared at Quinn, "You're okay with this?"
"Okay with—" Quinn prompted.
"This." Sam pointed to the shitshow that they were being shown. "Look, I get it that you come from a long line of Templars, and maybe that's why you think it's okay—but this isn't okay." Sam took a breath, "If anyone did this to my sister, I'd fucking kill them."
"Thinking about it, isn't going to help me find her," Quinn replied tersely, picking up the remote, fast forwarding through more tape. "It's not going to help you find her either."
Sam frowned, Quinn was off her game, and it probably didn't help that she'd been in a dark mood all day. She seemed obsessed with watching old film, which didn't help them in the present. He sighs, hoping that a few questions would jumpstart Quinn's brain. "There are five semi-public Templar bases in the Northeastern United States. So, the question is why this one? She wasn't kept at this base. She wasn't even kept in the state."
Sam frowned, Quinn had been in a mood all day. She seemed obsessed with watching old film which wasn't "She's still in the area, there are five Templar bases in the North East United States. Then there are three bases up in Canada, why did they choose this one? They probably figured her out. She's close enough."
"She was however transported through this state, she was heading to a secret Pennsylvania facility. They didn't teleport her because it's against policy, she's still in New York," Quinn said moving to the laptop and pulling up a map of where the crash happened. "We didn't know what we were looking for before, we didn't know who we were looking for before. But now we do, we need to canvas the area once more."
"You honestly think that they would still keep her there?" Sam pressed. "I mean she can teleport—"
"A skill she learned after that she was gone." Quinn pointed out. She pauses for a moment, "She has my face."
"Well, yeah she's your identical twin," Sam pointed out.
"And how many people know that? We only checked a few shops—me and Finn before I was sent to Argentina. Someone somewhere has to know who she is, and they probably don't know I exist. Why not take advantage of the fact? She looked good she's been outside, people must know her in the area. We're looking for an area that has a higher concentration of magic-touched."
"Should be easy enough to find out, we are aware of many in the city." Sam frowned slightly, he frowns when he spots Quinn getting up. "Where are you going?"
"I can't watch anymore of it," Quinn admitted frowning slightly. "I'm going to see Rachel. I need to not be around—this. The Templars."
"Didn't you two break up?" Sam asked, deciding that now was the time to shut his mouth as Quinn glares at him. "Forget it, I'll start a grid search, we should do this out of uniform."
Quinn nodded and ran a hand through her hair, "Sam? Keep this off the books. I don't want anyone in my family tracking what we're doing."
Sam paused for a moment before nodding, "Fine, I can do that."
