"Congratulations on your achievements. Enterprise-chan, You managed to turn the battle around and turn what would have been a loss into a stalemate. We took some losses. but that is to be expected." I sat in my chair inside Observer Alpha's office as i snorted at her use of 'Enterprise-chan'. Even after I had already fully committed to my new allegiances. killing former friends weren't just something you could suddenly do. both as a person and as a Magical girl.

"Indeed it was. Observer alpha. I don't get though why you wouldn't have just sent me earlier. Hit them faster before they could have done some serious damage." I leaned back in my chair maintaining a mix of Little enterprise's curious and the real Enterprise's blank tone. Granted. I was expecting too much from her when it came to early warning and real-time detection systems. but given their reserves of idling shipgirls and the fact that even bottom-of-the-barrel quality could still do some spotting. Why not simply deploy them as early warning pickets?

"Oh, We're not exactly up to your demanding standards when it came to detection of the enemy fleet. we don't have anything like your radars or your fighters that can cover miles in just moments." Alpha smirked as she flipped her white hair. It was odd to see her disconnected from combat operations like this. but Ingame personalities will be ingame personalities. "Once we have the prototypes working and ready for production. we will be able to do so with more time for you."

"Yes. I know that. Our technology sharing agreement is making progress. yes?" Last i heard. Type 22 S-band and Wurzburg UHF systems had still been absorbing lessons from what i could advise them with. The Type 22's emitter couldn't just suddenly switch to a antenna dish. and the Wurzburg simply wasn't up to the tasks of cold war electronics like high-powered Klystrons yet. but from me. they had some success in solving the coherence and reliability issues. Both of which I knew had plagued the S and X-band class systems of that time badly.

"And what of our fighters? Azur lane will not stand by as long as i am with your side. I expect they will start a crash program and the Ironbloods... or Germany as you will. I believe they would rather start a fantastic paper project of trying to get the Me-262 workable for carrier operations rather than the tried and true ones like the Meteor. even if TWR and anything critical for visual combat is simply too low or junk." The siren's smirk went away as she had placed a hand on her chin. I responded in kind as I slouched down. resting my head on the table as I played with a pen out of boredom. Vita resting and idling peacefully. If air dominance was to be maintained outside of simply throwing more carriers at the problem...

"Ah. you mention that." She clarified. "They're also making good progress. You will see the L MK 3 Seafire and Hellcats ready to enter service soon. followed by the Reppus and Shidens if there's no unexpected delay or teething problems yet." That was good to know. As far as I knew, I wanted the seafires to cover the low altitude band while the Hellcats covered the medium and high altitude ones. The land based ones however...

"What about our land forces? Our bombers are useless if there's nothing to protect them." I asked as I stood up in my seat with a neutral look. "And what of our Air defense units? What's the current outlook about the Lavochkins. the Bf Gs. the Fw As? The P-51C and D? The Hayates or the P-38Ls? Knowing where our enemy is will be vital to our plans and our ability to inflict critical damage to their capability. And I believe the 1710 turbocompound project will provide the P-38s with enough speed margins until Motorjets may come into use."

Digesting my new flow of information. Alpha took a look at a document and put it down before sipping from her glass. "They're also making steady progress as well. Especially the Lavochkins. which you so insisted on for point-defense and the P-38s for long range capability... even though you know the Mustangs will likely render its value questionable?" Ah. The range advantage question. There was one thing the P-51s didnt do much at though. And that was nighttime operations. I gave a noise and turned my head up at the ceiling before bringing it down at eye-level.

"We still need them for very high altitude operations. Besides. when the Mustang comes. I expect the P-61 Black widow will come into service soon enough." I tapped with my pen to get the point across. "What about our torpedoes? Our destroyers and our capital ships? It's a mess of electronics the size of barns. varying systems and confusing equipment standards..." I began but didn't change from my pose. "I believe we can rationalize them by switching to the 25mm NATO caliber for the Type 96s along with correcting its flaws. most notably the stupid box-feeding over belt or drums. In additionally. a standardized medium caliber weapon would do us wonders along with heavy Triple-A guns with 76mm calibers and above."

"Do go on!" Observer nodded as I continued.

"A 40mm hit will be enough to inflict damage that will compromise the ability of the enemy bomber to carry out its mission in question. but i do believe the 35mm caliber may also prove suitable. it is only slightly smaller than the 37mm. yet has a much higher muzzle velocity. well-proven design and various ammunition designs. The guns theirselves are also well-known, Too bad we don't have a ultracompact X-band class fire control RADAR for each mount. so the lack of the Marbach sets. let alone the systems used by the USN for their 76mm guns. and we don't have anything like digital computers and compact full-equation computers. so skill will be always a bottleneck in that area." A skilled shipgirl might be able to correct for that with manual operation. less skilled ones though, on the other hand... That was something i did not want to see playing out live.

"So.. What is my next set of standing orders. Observer alpha? Is there anything i should keep in mind?" I tensely sat there as the Siren leaned forward. her hands on her lap. light from the windows glinting off the decorations.

"Well. For now you are to be on standby. Intercept or defend on your discretion. Just keep in mind. Enty-chan. If we discover the wherabouts of a important enemy strategic meeting. of one of their seniors. we will hold a briefing with you to see if you will be able to handle the risks as such. You will keep providing us with assistance and advice as necessary. I am especially interested... To see how our forces will perform with homing torpedoes and nighttime detection abiliites as well as missiles." Taking a moment to process that. I nodded. but a question had came to my mind. Who was Louise? Who was she? What was a Gundam 00 character doing here all of a sudden? I knew Iris was here but Louise... Her last name was not Halevy. Right? Right?

"I need some information here. Observer. Who was the girl in the same battle? Her name was Louise. is there anything matching her?" I let curiosity take me there. Her blonde hair and eyes were a dead-ringer. but i had a feeling she would have the same health conditions her anime counterpart did.

"Hmm? Fine." Observer alpha heaved a sigh and dropped her smirk. going back to a professional stare. "Yes. Louise was indeed in the same battle. Is there anything you want to know about her?"

Thinking about her words. I decided to start with her health. see if that matched. If that was indeed true... "Does she have any health conditions? headaches? nightmares? Anything that might qualify her as mentally unstable? Anny physical conditions?" Obviously. there was no form of GN particle radiation-like poisoning here in the Azur lane world. but if Amagi and the US army studies were anything to go by. You only needed some serious head injuries or a pre-existing condition to replicate the same effects.

"Alright." Observer gulped before starting. "From what I read about her files. Originally she used to be a spoiled girl..." I watched her read a folder inbetween. "And in some respects she was dominating and disrespectful. Even as a recruit. she was not above manipulating. whining and complaining even if her superiors didn't listen. However, she made high marks on gunnery and fleet tactics. So in a way you can understand why we simply ignored her past behavior."

That matched up with Season 1's Louise personality. I groaned under my breath. "All of this was made even worse after her high-profile sinking of a important Azur lane shipgirl. which only fed her manipulativeness and gratification even more. She also took a interest in, and studied aerospace engineering under a compressed time schedule despite interruptions. When tested, her knowledge as such is that she would have made a genuine bacheler's degree. But there was an incident in her past."

An incident in her past...? You can't be serious! I growled as these matched up. Aeronautics engineering. manipulative and spoiled rich girl personality plus wealth and fame!? "During a mission to support one of our task forces. The fleet she was deployed with was ambushed by a pack of submarines followed by a fleet of destroyers and cruisers along with capital ships. of which we believe Hood, Bismarck. The Nagatos and your sisters were also part of. Most of the fleet didn't make it out alive. And she was one of the several survivors along the few tens we lost that day." So she too was lucky. I sighed. For all purposes the girl was pretty much Louise Halevy along with the psychological horror of seeing everyone she knew sink of die around her to go with it too. Ironic. given her VA was the same one who voiced Homura akemi.

"How bad were her various injuries and the damage she took? Was there anything severe and is she suffering from something psychological? Anything that might raise red flags if she were to be put though psychology and physiological tests?" At this. Observer alpha shook her head as she seemed sullen on what she was going to say next. I prepared myself for what might be her degenerative mental and physical disorders and diseases. And already to some extent my Magical girl personality was screaming at me to kill Hood or dismember Bismarck alive in cold blood for what they all did but I squashed these thoughts.

"At the time she was recovered. She was suffering from severe damage to the bridge and nearly had main gun batteries torn off along with numerous fires. There was major injury to her head and left arm." Alpha seemed a bit concerned and confused with the description she was giving here. I guess even she had her limits. "Shortly after she returned from her deployment. she began showing signs of blackouts and major panic attacks with vertigo that were eventually identified as psychosis. hallucinations. traumatic word triggers. serious headaches and overall deterioration in her mental state." Her tone took on a cynical note at the last word. It was unlike her constant light-hearted. if scheming tone. It sounded more like a general that cared for their men... in a disconnected and indirect way. "She has still scored high on her intelligence and gunnery tests. but... so far, all treatments have been ineffective in curing her. and so far we can only provide relief and suppression of her symptoms at current."

"Well. Who exactly was involved with the enemy fleet during at the time? I know at least now that one of my sisters were there... but was there anyone else that might have been mercilessly slaughtering the friendly fleet. for lack of a better word?" I took a drink of milk as I tried to hold down the ill feeling in my stomach. Being a pacifist in my past life and only becoming a fanatical war hawk if i was given a shipgirl body was one thing. but being shown the true level of just how dangerous this war was had given me something to think about.

"We don't have much data to identify much of the enemy shipgirls involved at the time... But so far. Other than i told you... At least one of the Clevelands. Saratoga. One of the Illustrious-class or KGVs. Unicorn. or Z23 were spotted during the battle." I sighed. Even losing my dog or seeing starving homeless people paled. and I felt my Magical girl instincts stirring again. It might be best to tell Reinforce this information later... Poor louise. She never gets any breaks. Azur lane. Gundam or not.

"Hey..." I whispered. "Where is... Uhm... In what room does she live in? I want to be nice to her and... Well... You know that I sank one of the First carrier division units. right? And besides, it might help her if one of her enemies she desires vengeance on can counsel her." Alpha smirked slightly. but she suppressed it as she raised a eyebrow. reading a folder that said something about how the International media was viewing the war and other more trivial issues. like political maneuvering in the UN and more news article about myself and why i betrayed the US military-specifically its shipgirl branch. and what implications this might hold.

"Well... She lives in..." She gave me information and pointers to where she usually resided in. For a rich girl (Woman?). she liked to be quite moderate in her furnishings and residential size. "However. She suffers sometimes from panic attacks and she might have headaches at times, She is also moody and distant. so she may not understand why someone she doesn't know is visiting her. Do you understand that?" I got up and nodded. After what she and I had been though. I hated to admit it to myself. but Louise took priority over Iris right now.

"I... Understand." I replied respectfully. Observer leaned back in her chair. the mood in this office not changing one bit.

"Good. Just be aware of her health and her mental and physical conditions... I... Just don't get her hurt. okay? Louise may be damaged, but not many can match her fineese and skills." Ah. So even Alpha still cared for her underlings sometimes. I grinned slightly before taking my leave and leaving the room as I walked toward my destination.

I had someone who would be what Shana and Taiga would be if they were insane and very hungry for revenge to visit. even if I am not exactly a fan of the character as much as i used to be. But for now, the fragile if still adorable blonde and big-chested semi-onee-san (From her looks. not personality) needed some social interaction with a former enemy shipgirl.

Pacing around the corridors and heading to a good guess of where Louise might be during this time. I passed by some siren shipgirls who were talking. I caught some of their words as I didn't bat a eye. pausing only if they might be important.

"Hey. The Enemy Yorktowns haven't been sighted as much as lately... I wonder if our newest ace in the hole might be..."

"Seems like the world is still debating on whether they could have prevented Enterprise's defection. I heard that a blogger proposed a international manhunt but... how can you hunt down a ship deep in the homeland?"

"Germany is still rife with infighting from some form of trumped-up nationalism with right wing elements and its centre to left parties. who are all trying to hold everything together... What do they hope to gain with angering the international community?"

Ah. Germany. The EU never really changed with its semi-fascistic approach to genuine-type refugees and not the agents hiding in them. Funny how the same anti-refugee nativists would end up applying for political asylum to Singapore or one of the Latin countries if their skeletons in the closet were to be opened.

Lost in my thoughts. and trying not to laugh crazily from a imagined fantasy of Impaling nagato on my Gunblade before firing a point-blank beam into her. I didn't see the mass of yellow and casual outfit approaching me until we bumped into each other. "Ouhf!"

Rubbing my chest a bit. I looked up toward the person in question who was returning my gaze with a curious look. I recongized that face and body quickly as I formed the words. "I.. I know you from that battle. you've..." Failing to find anything to say. Louise corrected what I was going to say as her scowl turned into a calm. if shy look. "Oh. um. yes. Enterprise. it's a pleasure. And yes. I am the same one who you saved during the battle." She held her arms down at her belly to complete the respectful effect even if I was just tiny in contrast to her size.

Wondering why she might know my name and deciding she probably had to have heard of my fugtive status. I asked her anyway. "Y-you remember me. Louise! I asked my superior about you, but... how did you memorize me that quickly?" I said with a confused gaze as Louise gave a quiet noise before closing her eyes.

"That's because you don't see a child in a dress like that with a hat on her head!" I pouted at that as I felt somewhat unhappy about her choice of words. but then again, I guess she might just find me that cute given what the fandom said about my character. And using her description of my appearance rather than my name at least meant she was good with recongizing people by what they wore rather than their names. I puffed my chest out and held her hand lightly.

'I wonder...' I smiled at her happily to give off the cute moe vibe as she seemed to react somewhat to my attempt. 'Is your last name Halevy by coincidence?'
