Prologue: Reporting
A bell rang was heard thru the halls of prestigious school for becoming an hunter and huntress of Remnant called Beacon, as the door at the hallway opened exiting many students going to the cafeteria for lunch. As much would standout are these two teams the JNPR and RWBY.
"Ugh finally! I'm free from Port's stories." Yang said stretching out her arms.
"And Fortunately next week is summer break!" Ruby excitedly planning out for her weapon upgrades.
"Sigh. Good for you both, but I'll be staying here to study you know." Wiess said
"C'Mon Ice queen, you need let it go sometimes from those for a while." Yang insisted only received a denial by Weiss. "How bout you Blake any plans aside reading?"
"None" As all she answered still reading her book at hand.
A sudden ringtone alarmed the group from their scrolls seeing it that comes from the headmaster. The two teams where now walking to the headmaster office wondering why they were called. They seemed had their agenda for upcoming Summer break.
"Ugh, why now? I just prepping my plans this summer break." Yang whines even thou she only do is stay in Patch.
"Cut your whines Yang, this might be important in our grades. After all I'll be staying here to improve." Weiss told her teammate brawler.
"You and your studies Wiess cream. Right Blake?" Yang said only Wiess glare at her.
"..." Well, she is still reading a book.
"Anyway! It must be something, right?" The bubbly red leader Ruby rose ask to at least break the awkwardness from her team.
"It might be a some urgent that could be us eight involved?" Pyrrha stated not know much to say.
"But it is strange, why us specifically? We are still students in training taking odd job missions?" Jaune asked
"Maybe! A secret mission like those in the spy movies, undercover and all! Oh! Or maybe something sinister like secret society was hunting us so the headmaster sent us away fro-!" Nora all giddy as usual.
"Nora, we hadn't know yet. There will be pancakes later so please behave." Ren interrupted insures the damage minimal.
"Yay! Thank you Renny!" Giving a hug to her partner.
After a few minutes later they have arrived to the office where Headmaster Ozpin and Professor Glynda Goodwitch. They are all nervous or scared from by the glare of the professor was giving them while Ozpin calmly sipping to his never ending cup of coffee.
"Ah, team RWBY and JNPR seemed you all come in time. You may wonder why I call you eight, it has been many weeks you have studied and trained here in Beacon you all seem improved very well." Ozpin eased them lifted some weight from the both teams.
Although...
"But in this pasts semesters you all have committed many 'inconvenience' in this academy. The Headmaster may excuse all of your antics but the civilians and staffs has not." Glynda announce to them making more weight and sheepishly agreed or deny their actions.
Ozpin sigh ,putting down his cup. "As you have heard many have complaint even the civilians who are involved in highway disturbance of 'A Massive robot chasing teenagers' incident. You do all aware the civilians have no aura and vulnerable in injury. Fortunately they had able to rescued and healed from the incident."
The team RWBY look down in shame for not much noticing that mistake involved hurting civilians.
"Wait! Why are we here then?" Nora asked nonchalantly making Jaune and Pyrrha worried while Ren knows a few or the majority.
Ozpin amused in her oblivious question and Glynda stern eyes landed to Nora for her to behaved immediately." You four also been complaint by many staff and some of the students. Majority of complains are from you Ms. Valkryie , the Chef complains of shortage in particular pancake ingredients and threats from said student 'not serving pancakes' and many endeavors of explosion in the academy."
Nora became nervous for that matter since every morning or every time she carves pancakes even with or without Ren cooking them and when testing her explosives.
"Mr. Arc, you had been complain by your grades even though you had improved in academics but your performance and experience are lacking. For Mr. Lie some gardeners of the school has complained their missing herbs planted in the academies green house without a permission, in evidence they had sighted your 'steal sleeping' act." Ozpin continued.
Both males on the team sweat drop but when headmaster revealed the evidence caught in act they also became nervous and shocked.
"And lastly for Ms. Nikos, there are also complains of your semblance mishaps after your combat class, the weapons you clashed tend to bend or break in unknown proportions. Many students complained for repairs or replace their weapons. As that's not all the fault in this situation but it has consequences in the budget of the students." Ozpin get another sip in his cup as Glynda next spoke.
"As given appropriate punishment for you both teams. You all will not having a Summer Break. Instead you all be staying in a remote place with acceptable network service for you to work in community service at that area thankfully their communication is accessible still. Also a huntsman will monitor your progress." Glynda stated
"What!" the majority of both teams aside Pyrrha, Jaune, Ren and Blake. They seemed to complain but when Glynda sternly stared at them they silently shut up.
"Ummm. May I ask where was this place?" After Jaune asked a dumb question, of course.
"Hmm. All I could only said for you Mr. Arc is. Are ready for your home visit?" that was something a single sentence pierced Jaune's ear.
Later...
"Wohhoooo! that was fun!" the ginger bomber exclaimed as the rest of team JNPR along of team RWBY.
"Calm down Nora, Yes we had fun but least don't drink too much juice." Ren had said
The both teams are having a slumber party in RWBY's room planned by Ruby and Nora as to which the had no choice but join the fun. This happened after they had prepared their supplies and necessities for the mission/punishment insisted by Weiss.
"I can't believed vomit boy, pulled off a dress at the party and good dancing too.." Yang said reminiscing the party few weeks before.
"Uh. Yeah thanks for the compliment Yang but seriously could you drop that off." Jaune grumbled until fell silent being notice by his partner.
"Is something wrong Jaune?" It has been few months since he told about his transcript to the group they may be mad but it happened the opposite they accepted it as there also rumors of seniors had fake their transcript too.
"No its nothing... I'm just feeling home sick lately must be what headmaster said. But don't worry about that its-never mind. I'll be taking a breather for a while." Upon hearing that the feline of the group could feel his sympathy running away from home as she is too. As Jaune left the room the group fell silent sensing something strange.
"Pyrrha, Is something happened to Jaune?" The team leader Ruby concerned to her fellow leader.
"I don't know Ruby, he has been acting strange after he heard said last time, he is getting better in his combat when we spar but after the school party he always going outside at night. I tried asking him why but he always only said that." Pyrrha said.
"Well, can't blame him maybe he missed his hometown." Yang said laying back to her bed.
"That may be true...but I don't know where his hometown is. "Pyrrha said.
"But he is your leader and your partner. What's with that dolt?" Weiss said she may forgiven him and apologize thru the hassle with Neptune but she still her typical self addition to that when they been told about his fake transcript mostly subtle but they felt some betrayal and disappointment but they digress, after all he isn't the only one had lied their way to beacon. As a compensation they had to tutor or train him as they possibly can and boy it is hell on earth and they are his tormentor.
"Don't be harsh Weiss. But she does have a point. Did you ever asked or told you anything about his past or any?" Blake asked.
Ren began to think. "Nothing much he have told us he had seven sisters and -"
"What! 7 Sisters!" The team RWBY.
"Yes,7 sisters adding him. He did say one of them living in Argus having a family. And he told us that he can cook, laundry, cleaning, dance, play music instruments, sing-" he continued
"Seriously? We literally heard him sing right in front of me before." Weiss reminding about the attempt to woo her.
Ren can feel his eye twitch "he can sing but he told us he was to nervous breakdown to approach you since it his first time courting or that was he told us lastly-"
"He can fly a bullhead too!" Nora interrupted Ren but he digress in sigh only nod in agreement confirming by the confused and bewilderment looks of the girls.
Pyrrha explain" It is true, in our latest mission was a killing some grimms until when our pilot was stung by a nevermore grimms."
Flashback:
"Ga ahh!" pilot gasp in pain he was hit in the shoulder. "Mayday! Mayday! I have been hit! Brace for impact!" As the bullhead falling to ground as they are freefalling Then Jaune yank the pilot out of his seat to his team.
Pyrrha "Jaune! What are you doing!?" Supporting the pilot.
"Trying for us to survive take care of the pilot, I'll be taking control." Holding the controls tight seated in the cockpit.
He yank back the bullhead up to the skies. As the group sigh in relief but for Jaune didn't seem so as he said something.
"Pilot, does this bullhead has self-defense weapons?" Jaune ask focused on incoming lancers and wasps grimm.
"Yeah why? wait. Don't tell-" as the pilot dreaded to his idea but Nora seemed liking the idea, Pyrrha was concern, Ren is kind of confused but relented. "Buckle up all of you. This maybe a crazy ride." The all strap themselves in the passengers seat.
he began throttle forward charge to the flocks of Grimms and he play a song in his scroll sing along-
Flashback End
"Wait! wait! What he sang!? Of all places!" Weiss exclaimed on how ridiculous it was.
"Sigh, yes Wiess he sang through the piloting a bullhead to fight the flying Grimms. Although he mostly hum, I haven't heard any songs I know ,nor title he sang." Pyrrha tiredly sigh again.
"Geez, from vomit boy to fly boy, he really may got his guts out." By Yang interested by the song.
"No, Yang he. Didn't vomit this time he became more happy and quite the opposite it was us taken the effect. And when we heard him sing or hum through the dogfight with the grimms we seemed to understand it's message and giving us some soothing feeling." Ren said
"But did you ever get hit?" Blake was confused and surprise, no ever could that good dodge and evade such speed reaction of outnumbered enemy while flying a bullhead.
"Are you kidding me!? Jaune is the greatest pilot I have ever flown with!? He even shot down so many grimms and he fly the bullhead like in the movie Alpha Bullet(Top Gun movie) adding with his song it's like I am riding a rollercoaster in the sky but extreme!" Nora as explain while using her hand acting like a airplane moving it around.
"Although, when we arrived back, the pilot turned unconscious sending him infirmary and over exhaust the engine as the wings of the bullhead collapse from straining the metal." Pyrrha said.
"Ooooh."Ruby is intrigued by his fellow leader and curious that he knows how to fly a bullhead but she let go for now for they went to play a new game at their scroll console.
Before moments ago...Jaune POV
Sigh... It's been 3 years since I left for this mission. I entered to my ..our room sitting beside to my bed shifting uneasiness.
I had known something is wrong since the School party, thankfully that's already fix with no trace by myself. it just this is something hard on lying speaking to the people to trust me. Sigh. I also slipped my secret in that stunt
I chuckle due to how ironic I am from courting by faking my singing and acting like a dork that supposed to be my cover up.
"Sigh, here we go then." I pulled from my bag under of my bed a communicator that was given to me.
Setting it up in front of me a hologram showed a person or it is to be. A male Zentraedi decent as his skin color is green yet wearing full admiral suit with facial hair.
I salute with blank face. " Sir this is First Lieutenant Jaune Arc, reporting."
"At ease lieutenant. what is your status and your Objective is complete?" the Zentraedi ask as let my hand fall to my side.
"Yes sir, and no trace left behind and all things considered, although there would a new problem." I almost slip to my expression of being professional.
"And that is?" he asked and i simply slowly take breath.
"The Headmaster and the Headmistress had given a punishment of the actions of my team and the fellow team from our misconduct actions for the duration of academy's end of semester. They had assigned us to serve a community service from a our cover up base and accompanied by a huntsman or huntress but unknown who was assigned to us adding hearing a statement from the headmaster that he suspects something is wrong." I explain in one go and a new record for me.
The Zentraedi listened to me in every detail. I suppose?
After a long pause he spoke "I see. It is seemed unavoidable yet you had fulfilled your objective at that. Very well, then given to our situation there would be needing first local contact of their generation. I'll assigned to you lieutenant be as their ambassador and their guide although as for this huntsman he or she will be your responsibility to their shoes tight for now. Sigh, i know this plan is rush but you have to be strong. I know your family missed you son and we might wait to your arrival back home and bring along those two." looking at calm and caring as always to me.
I let my face to put my sincere smile. "I will Gran-uncle."
