Learning to Fly
By SMYGO4EVA
Ever since he saw met Reki, Langa was drawn to him, like the first day of spring. Warm, nice, and full of surprises, after a long, cold winter, Reki always knew how to make Langa smile.
Whenever they were at Dope Sketch, Langa watched in awe as Reki would tinker with any skateboard he could, seeing the wheels spin and turn, how each and every part made even the most mundane board unique. His bright eyes sparkled excitedly; Reki was a master of his craft, and Langa never tired of being in his light. There was still so much to see and learn, and Langa was glad Reki found him.
Reki thought that he was too far gone to care about what anyone had thought of him, but with Langa, it was different. Langa made him forget about what he was good and bad at, even as he worked the finishing touches of the skateboard. Langa's eyes and smiled shimmered like the ocean, and Reki couldn't help but stare in awe. All Reki wanted to do was skate with him.
Just as long as they could have those moments to skate, just the two of them, nothing else mattered.
The wind brushed them as they greeted the outside, their respective skateboards in hand. Langa smiled softly, and Reki grinned.
Reki was like spring, and Langa never tired of basking in the light. Langa was like the ocean, and Reki wanted to see more.
(A/N: This was my first time writing for SK8 the Infinity, so forgive me if there are some character inconsistencies.)
