Lux trudges his way to Chiaroscuro once he was done delivering the flowers to the customer. Not only was he exhausted and sore all over from fighting the four women who tried to arrest him, not to mentioned getting his hoverboard in the process, he ended up getting loudly scolded by the client for being late by almost two hours!

"Good Grief," Lux muttered, wiping the sweat off his brow. The walk to Chiaroscuro would be long and arduous so it took him a while for him to reach the shop since his hoverboard was shot down and destroyed. To think so much has happened in just one day.

By the time he arrived, he noticed his mother was at the counter reading a flower magazine. She glanced at him when she heard the bell of the door ringing as he went inside. "Welcome back" his mother greeted. Before he could greet her back, the weight of his body suddenly felt heavy and thought the floor looked nice to sleep on.

Luckily for him, his mother quickly went over to his side and caught him. While Lux was grateful that she helped him, he glanced at her and saw the anxious look on her face. "Lux, what happened?" his mother demanded in an anxious voice.

He had to think of an excuse quick. She would panic if she knew that four women tried to capture him and he had to defend himself. "I crashed into a wall and broke my hoverboard" Lux half-lied, not wanting to alarm his mother. "Sorry…"

She didn't look convinced at the response. But instead of pointing it out, his mother carried his battered body inside the staff room and up to his bedroom as quickly as possible, deciding to deal with his injuries first. After taking off his weapons and equipment on his worktable, his mother then carefully laid him to his bed and sat next to him to check him over.

"Are you sure that you crashed into a wall?" she asked worriedly. "I'm seeing a lot of bruises on your body and your clothes seemed to be ruffled up."

He nodded. "Yeah, I crashed into a wall."

She looked doubtful, but blessedly kept quiet still. "If you need anything, call me, ok?" his mother told him as she stood up from the bed.

He felt a pang of guilt for lying to her when she left the bedroom. "It was for the best," he reassuringly muttered to himself.

Now alone, Lux looked up to the ceiling and began to think. From the back of his mind, he felt a little uneasy. Lux recalled that the four were requested by his younger brother to find and bring him in to their father. But how did they manage to find him so quickly? He's been under their radar for some time, away from the affairs of his family.

"Lucius" Lux muttered. It tasted bittersweet when he said his name. It's been so long since he spoke his younger brother's name.

All these problems, failing to throw the match, the threat of his mother by the Man of the House as punishment, his men watching Chiaroscuro like vultures, and the four women attempting him to capture him –all in a span of one week– is almost getting the better of him.

In spite of all that is happening, Lux felt the rush of excitement when he fought those four women. It was so unlike people he had fought at the House. They are so skilled in fighting and so coordinated in their teamwork that the four admittedly nearly overwhelmed him. One of them even forced him to use his Semblance to project a barrier to protect himself. He had to admit, their fight kept him on his toes and it made his blood pumped because he had never faced such opponents that can put up that kind of pressure against him before.

Which begs the question: just who are they?

Lux pulled out his Scroll and opened it. Since he remembered that one of them said their Team RWBY, he typed it on the screen out of curiosity. Perhaps the name of her group might appear on the top of the search results, he thought jokingly. Aside from the pictures of the gemstone, there was one link that matches the description of one of the four women he had fought.

It turns out that this group he had fought is Team RWBY themselves, much to his astonishment. Scrolling down the page, he recognized the other women who tried to fight and capture him like the cheerful redhead Ruby Rose, the mysterious cat Faunus Blake Belladonna and the boisterous blonde Yang Xiao Lang. The article basically explains each of the member's profile and abilities, not to mention their achievements as a team. No wonder these four women are amazingly skilled in combat and on par with his own. It also explains that, as Huntresses, they were hired by his younger brother to bring him in.

Among the members of Team RWBY he read though, it was the white-haired woman named Weiss Schnee stood out the most for him. Sure, she wasn't as fast as Ruby, or as rounded as Blake, or as tough as Yang. However, she was quite creative with her abilities, especially when it comes to using that Semblance of hers. Not to mention that she has that strategic mind of hers. She and the redhead's combination attack, an icicle shot that forms a beautiful structure of an ice crystal that springs out of the ground upon impact, was quite a fascinating sight to see, although he was glad that he wasn't the receiving end of it. And that giant suit of armor that summoned behind her? While it looked cool, Lux thought he was done for. Her ability to put the pressure on him really is impressive.

But what does he see in her, Lux wondered. He admitted that Weiss is certainly strong and skilled, there's no denying that. Not to mention that she's cute too. However, there were some issues like she and three other women, who he assumed were her friends, tried to apprehend him and he was forced to fight them when he refused. And when he pointed it out, she thought he was insulting her. Yet, Lux was concerned for Weiss and ended up confessing that he liked her, much to his own surprise. Funnily enough, he even threw a morning glory at her like some kind of phantom thief. What's stranger is that he wanted to see Weiss again and told her to meet her at Chiaroscuro. Why is that?

His face slightly flushed. Whenever he imagines her face, his problems seemed to fade away.

Lux lets out a yawn as drowsiness began to take over his thoughts. What a strange turn of events indeed, he mused. How would he react if she really appeared the next day then?

Whatever the case, he'll be there.
