"Hey!" Will said as his boyfriend came to sit at the Apollo table.
"Hi!" Said Nico trying not to sound too enthusiastic.
"Tonight? Sneaking out?" Asked Will whispering so only Nico could hear.
"Definitely!" Responded the son of hades.
They were used to this. Once or twice every month, they would sneak out for a date.
No one would ever come to know. They would return a little after midnight and if one of Will's siblings overheard or if Nico and Will we're nowhere to be found, (which they usually wouldn't), they would cover with 2 great excuses, infirmary or Hades cabin. That made most people shut up.
That night
Will sneaked into the hades cabin through the window in the back.
"Hi!" He head a voice whisper
He turned around to see his boyfriend standing around as if he was expecting Will, which he probably was.
"Hey Neeks!" Said Will as he pecked his boyfriends lips.
Nico held out his hand to Will, which he took.
They shadow-traveled to the outskirts of the forest of camp half blood where a zombie chauffeur was waiting with his limo.
Jules-Albert opened the door for the two boys and drove to the bottom of a hill.
"We shadow travel to up there!" Nico said
"But-" Will tried to retort but got off with a flash of darkness.
They landed on a hilltop garden in the middle of which was a picnic.
Nico looked a little tired, his legs were shaking, but he was more or less fine.
"Neeks are you okay?" Will asked
"I'm fine." Said Nico regaining his balance, "Do you like it?"
"Nico I love it! But I thought you didn't like cliche picnic dates."
"Yeah. I'm fine with them. Anyways, you love them."
"That's classic you." Will said rolling his eyes in an affectionate way
"What's that supposed to mean?" Asked Nico
"You're always thinking of what others would like over you. Also, you would never admit you like cliches and just blame it on being what I would want." Said Will teasingly
"That's not true!" Nico retort
"Sureeee, death boy!" Will teased
"Hmp!" Nico muttered
Will chucked at the younger demigod and kissed his forehead.
As they sat down, Nico felt a raindrop drop on his head. He looked up.
"What is it Neeks?" Will asked
A raindrop splatted his nose
"Oh..." he understood as Nico looked at him and snickered.
Will sighed and rolled his eyes.
"It's raining." Nico informed the son of Apollo.
"I noticed." Will said, his hand, unintentionally making its way to his nose, where the raindrop fell, making Nico's eyes glitter with humour.
By then it had already started to drizzle.
"What do my uncles have against me having a peaceful date with my boyfriend?" Muttered Nico.
Will chuckled again. Nico smiled a smile that said 'I love you,but I'm sick and tired of this weather' back at him.
"Let's make the most of it!" Will said.
"Of what?"
"The rain!" Will said
"What's to be so happy about?" Nico grumbled
"Hey! I'm not gonna let rain ruin a date with the love of my life!" Will exclaimed
"Love of your life?" Nico pointed out, blushing furiously.
"Yep!" Will said winking at the younger demigod.
Thunder roared and hard wind ruffled the trees around. Nico shivered.
Will cuddled upto his boyfriend, "You cold?"
"Nah. The storms bring back bad memories."
"Wanna talk about it?"
"...my mom. She died in a storm. Zeus striked her down with one of his bolts."
"I'm sorry..."
"It's fine. I'm over her death, I still miss her, but I'm more or less over it... still, that doesn't make the memories any less sad."
Nico leaned into his boyfriend. I mean, his significant annoyance.
After a few minutes of silence, Nico muttered, "I love you."
"I love you too." Will said pulling Nico closer if that was even possible, considering how close they were sitting.
Soon, the rain had gone away, leaving both the demigods drenched.
"The foods all wet." Will commented.
"Hmm."
"I'm not hungry."
"Me neither." Replied Nico plainly.
"Wanna go back to the cabin?" Suggested Will in a guilty tone
Nico chuckled, knowing what Will was thinking.
"Maybe in a bit. I'm feeling too lazy" Nico said
"Well fall asleep here and we know it." Will said smiling a little
"Yeah, but it'd be worth it." Nico said snuggling into Will.
"I hate being the top when we're not in the cabin." Will muttered
Nico chuckled
"Is my sunshine cold?" Nico asked
"It bloody rained! Of course I am!" Will said annoyed, but the smile not leaving his face.
"The rain looks good on you, you know." Nico commented, taking in his boyfriends face.
"You too Mr.di Angelo." Said Will poking his boyfriends cheek. "You're beautiful!" Will said under his breath.
Nico smiled at his boyfriend. Then he got to his feet pulled Will up and said, "That got cheesy way to fast!" He muttered, leaving a snickering Will following him down the hill.
Once they made it back to the hades cabin, Nico said, "You're beautiful too, you know." Pulling his boyfriend into a passionate kiss.
"And that, sunshine, is how you end a cliche." Said Nico as he pulled away from the kiss, leaving a gaping Will as the last thing he saw as he drifted off to sleep.
