A/N: Hey everyone, xElectronicLuvr here. I've been wanting to start writing a multi-chapter story revolving around Sam and Freddie. I watched iCarly growing up and recently came back to rewatching it as an adult. I thought it would be fun to further explore their relationship. Hope you guys enjoy the story!
Disclaimer: I do not own iCarly or any characters portrayed within the story. All credit goes to Nickelodeon. There is only one scene I do not own from Sam and Cat.
Chapter 1: iReunite with Freddie
Sam was riding on her motorcycle on the highway back to Seattle. It had been a year since she saw Carly and two months since she visited Freddie in the hospital after the Killer Tuna Jump accident. While driving back she passed by Ridgeway Junior High School, she felt nostalgic butterflies.
"Man, there's just something about this place that keeps drawing me back." She thought. A few miles after she turned and entered into Pini's Italian Restaurant. She parked her motorcycle and walked towards the entrance. She stopped once she took a glance at no other than Freddie Benson, who was on his Pear phone waiting for her. She looked at him in awe remembering what she had told him at the hospital.
*FLASHBACK*
*January 18, 2014| St. S Hospital| 9:32 P.M.*
"You know Freddie's nice, but he's too much of a techy, nerdy type for me." Cat expressed.
"Yeah, and you know Robbie… Not my cut of beef." Sam admitted. She and Cat looked over at Robbie and Freddie who were both staring at them.
"Um… Could you guys not talk about that right in front of us?" Robbie awkwardly asked.
"Yeah it's completely unnecessary." Freddie agreeingly mumbled with a head and face cast covering him.
"Sorry." Cat apologized.
"We'll go out in the hall and talk about you guys behind your backs." Sam added.
"Thank you" Robbie appreciatively replied.
As Cat opened the door with Sam trailing behind her, Sam stopped and turned back around.
"Oh, hey Benson." Sam called out to him.
"Yeah?" Freddie mumbled.
"When your face heals up and you can chew again. Let's you and me go grab some dinner and have some fun. "
"That'll be nice." Freddie gave her a thumbs up.
"By the way, I took eighty bucks out of your wallet." Sam told him before she slyly walked to the door."
"Huh!? You did what!?" Freddie yelled.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
Freddy saw Sam standing outside, he smiled and waved at her. As she stepped inside, she was greeted by a waiter who assisted her to Freddie's table. The same table when Freddie and Sam had their date and they dragged Carly along to prevent them from fighting. Sam took off her black leather jacket and hung it on the back of the chair and turned to him.
"Sup Fredward." She chuckled
"Hey Sam. How've you been?" Freddie smiled.
"Been here and there. I'm trying to finish school online and helping Cat with our babysitting service. Remember her?" Sam responded.
"Yeah I remember. She left quite the impression." Freddie scratched his head.
"Come on she wasn't that bad." Sam defensively said.
Freddie began to speak, "Yeah, she wasn't, but her "boyfriend" Robbie sure was. I was stuck with him listening to his song on repeat the whole two weeks we were there in the hospital."
"But you're swell." Sam playfully poke Freddie and gave him a pouty smile.
"Oh haha you're hilarious." He rolled his eyes and laughed.
Their waiter came by, handed them their waters, and asked if he could take their order. He gave Freddie and Sam a Pini's menu.
Sam thought to herself, "I don't need a menu. I always know what I want. I mean have you met me?"
"I'll have the classic Pini's lasagna." She said.
"I'll have the same." Freddie agreed.
"Okay. I will put in your order right now." The waiter said as he was done scribbling on his notepad.
"Oh yeah, can I also get a side of breadsticks and parmesan cheese. Lots of it. And when I mean lots of it just pack the baby up."
"Uh, okay sure." The waiter looked at Sam with confused, judging eyes before walking away.
"Of course." Freddie added.
"Anyways, anything new with Carly and Gibby?" Sam asked.
"I haven't heard from Carly on when she's coming back but so far she said she was having lots of fun over in Italy." Freddie explained.
"Nice, must be the cute Italian boys or the hundred types of pasta she's trying over there. And Gibby?" Sam laughed.
"You won't believe this but Gibby works at Pave and Clusters, you know that arcade place downtown Seattle?"
"Holy crab! No way! You know what that means. Free arcade games for life." Sam exclaimed.
"If Gibby can." Freddie added.
"Trust me he will give us free passes, I'll make sure of it." Sam stared into space with determination in her eyes.
"You are not going to hit him with your butter sock." Freddie attempts to prevent Sam from using violence as an answer.
"Who says I'm going to use my butter sock?"
Freddie looked at her and chuckled. Typical Sam, he sure missed this.
"Anyways, how about you nub? Anything new?" Sam now curiously intrigued .
Freddie snapped out of his thoughts, "Yeah I got early admissions to California Institute of Technology, University of Washington, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I'm still debating which school I want to go to. I still have time plus I got a few more months until they want a final decision." Freddie answered.
Sam was looking impressed. "Wow that's a lot. Knew you would make it far Freddork."
Freddie with an offended look on his face replied. "Gee. Thanks."
Sam chuckled, "I'm just joking, seriously I'm proud of you."
Before Freddie could answer her. Their waiter came with a tray of their dishes.
"Breadsticks, one regular lasagna, and one lasagna with heaps of parmesan cheese… Anything else I can get for you?" The waiter asked.
"No we're okay." "More parmesan cheese." Freddie and Sam said at the same time.
Freddie looked at Sam with his eyebrow raised.
"Yes. Of course…" The waiter left while still staring at Sam with the same judging eyes as before.
"Alright let's dig in." Sam began to pick up her fork and went for it.
"Aren't you going to wait for your extra parmesan cheese?" Freddie asked.
"No, I was messing with him. I would still like to taste my lasagna. I wanted to see the look on his face when he came back and we finished our meal." Sam replied as she shoved a big forkful of lasagna in her mouth.
Freddie smiled and looked at her in awe. Yup that was his Sam, she hasn't changed one bit since she left. Freddie picked up his fork and ate his lasagna enjoying the day with Sam.
