I'm not sure how young I was when I lost my grandfather Burai Midoriya, a brilliant man that no one looked down upon since he had his fire breathing quirk, something my dad inherited but skipped me. All I know about my grandfather was he was some kind of scientist who worked with other scientists, archaeologists, metallurgists, engineers, hoplologists and defence personal as well as being a massive fan of the period in our time called the Marvellous age when superheroes were first starting to appear in our world. But one day he just vanished never to be heard from again. My mother said he was working on something for the government and that my father who worked for the ministry of defence went to the United States to pick up where my grandfather left off, and I am expected to take over but it's doubtful since I didn't inherit the fire breathing quirk of my grandfather and father, instead I got a quirk that allowed me to interface and control technology otherwise known as Technopathy. But since I got it when I was 6 instead of 5 everyone thought that I was or rather am quirkless; even my fiancé, yeah I'm engaged through an arrangement between my grandfather and one of his oldest friends, so that's the story of my life for now; right now I'm heading over to Force Works Industries for a field trip, can't wait to see what happens there
"Hard to imagine that one company made some much hero tech and gear" a student said
"I know and its Japanese; though I did hear of an American branch" another student said
"Now these bronze busts right here are called 'The Seven Gears' they are the ones who built the Force Works" the tour guide said "Under the guise of Burai Midoriya, Force Works Industries wouldn't be able to compete with other heavy hitters in the world
'Too bad he's grandpa is a quirkless loser" a female student said before the teacher glared at her, all the while Izuku was trying to pretend like he wasn't insulted; sure he's quirk wasn't flashy but he still had one, it just needed to be...blocked otherwise he would have a massive migraine and not been able to move for ages which is why he wore glasses "I heard he even has a fiancé as well, the poor girl; having to be stuck with him" she snickered
"Enough Naru" a different female student said, this one being the class president and a former crush, one he had to give up due to the fact he had a fiancé. At least she was somewhat neutral to him, unlike
"Move it Deku you damn nerd!" Bakugo said shoving him out of the way as the tour continued
"Asshole" Izuku said adjusting his glasses
"Are you okay?" a gentle voice said as Izuku looked up to see a girl with rabbit feature looking concerned for him
"I'm alright Tsuki" Izuku said smiling at his only friend in the class, Tsuki Usagiyama the young sister of the Rabbit hero Miruko. And since no one wanted to mess with a pro hero they generally left her alone
"You know I can always ask Rumi to teach them a lesson" Tsuki said
"Its fine" Izuku sighed before looking at the bronze bust of his grandfather "I just wish I wasn't a disappointment to him" he said
"You're not" the class president said walking up to the pair
"Tomoyo" Tsuki said
"Look, I know you how everyone treats you okay, but that doesn't mean you were a disappointment to him" she said taking off his glasses to clean them before putting them back on "If anything he was laughing because he's grandson could do what he couldn't he could talk to technology"
"Why is it only you two know my quirk is Technopathy?" Izuku asked
"Just do" The two girls laughed before the alarm sounded
"What is it?" Tsuki asked
"AIM" Izuku hissed as security personal tried to get everyone into safety area while preventing AIM forces from entering the building; but amid the chaos Izuku tripped and placed his hand on a wall in a corridor from where they were while his glasses slipped off his face cause the wall to open and Izuku to fall in
"Where did Izuku go?" Tsuki asked looking around
"He was right behind us" the guard said before a robot looking enemy entered the base and shot at the girl, making her squeal out "I've got you, hold on" the guard said returning fire
"Okay so where am I?" Izuku asked as he looked to be in some kind of box which he felt move down at a rapid rate "Whoa!" he shouted before the box stopped and opened up into a blackened room. "Okay so where am I?"
"Welcome" a computerized voice said
"Okay who said that?" Izuku asked looking around nervously
"During the Marvellous age, various heroes and villains appeared, only this was before the main age of quirks which we enjoy today" a voice said
"Grandfather?" Izuku asked shocked
"One of those heroes as one called Ironman, he had successfully build over 80 , sadly during the age after the Marvellous age, the armours were lost and possibly destroyed meaning they couldn't be recovered and placed in the vault, same with the mark 1616 aka the Rescue armour, however one set of armours we were able to recover among the Marvel age weapons was the JRXL1000 Variable Threat Response Battle suit, seven versions of the suits have been placed in the vault which is the place which AIM is trying to locate so they can build new weapons based on Marvellous age. I have hope that one day someone will come and discover this room dubbed the safe, where have hidden one of the battle suits for safekeeping and to defeat AIM so that way a new Marvellous will come about" the voice of Burai finished before Izuku was scanned when he walked further into the room "Izuku, if you're hearing this that means I have gone, I'm so sorry that I wasn't there to help you more. But your quirk is unique even in our family which is I hope you are the one to open this safe. But also know I love you" Burai said before the room lit up revealing what his grandfather was hiding
"Cool" Izuku said as he walked towards it
"Get back children" The teacher said as AIM forces were attacking on mass
"We need backup" a security guard said
"There are no pro heroes in the area, the closest one is twenty minutes away at most" another guard said as an explosion happened causing the students to flinch
"Let me at them" Bakugo sneered
"BAKUGO! GET BACK" the teacher shouted causing him to be shot by a Sniper
"Sensei!" Tomoyo shouted as she covered the wound "Bakago, NOW!" she shouted
"Alright fine" Bakugo said using his quirk as much as he could to cover the students as they moved further into the building, only for several android like things to appear and walk towards the building
"SYNTHOIDS!" a guard said switching to more powerful weapon who to be blasted by a laser beam making the students scream, Tsuki was at the back of the group as she was shaking she was so scared, finally she let out a big scream and curled up into a ball shredding tears
"Bunny down" Naru said
"Shut it Naru" Tomoyo said racing over to her fellow student and comforting her "Its oaky, we're going to be fine" she whispered when the sound of gunfire was heard, most of the class covered their heads, only to pick up when the sound stopped, most of them were curious about what happened
"Look" a student said as a Synthoid at the back split in half revealing somebody wearing a high tech suit of heavily armed grey and silver armour
"Who, who is that?" Tsuki asked
The AIM force suddenly turned on the armour user who stood there as their bullets did minimal damage. the group of student were just gobsmacked as the new hero tanked all of the damage
"Who is that guy?" Bakugo asked before the armour user stood still. He looked up and fired a laser beam for his chest shocking everyone
"My turn" the armoured user was heard saying as he pointed his fists at two of the AIM soldier and unleashed hot lead at them while the minigun on his shoulder tore several Synthoids apart before a rumble was heard, looking behind him the armour user just stood there as a panel on his left shoulder opened up to reveal a small rocket which the user fired at the tank, turning around and glaring at the AIM forces right as the tank exploded
"Whoa" the students said as the armour wearer walked by a AIM soldier, who decided to take a shot at him
"Who are you?" the AIM soldier said
"I'm War Machine" the armour user said grabbing the AIM soldier "And I don't appreciate you attacking a place like this when there are innocent civilians here" he said unaware of one last Synthoid getting up
"BEHIND YOU!" Tsuki shouted as War Machine looked up at her, only to have his minigun spin up and turn around to blast the Synthoid to bit as he threw the AIM soldier to the side before he place his by his side and snapped his feet together enabling him to lift up into the sky and disappear over the Force works
"That was fun" War Machine chuckled before doing a barrel roll and landing near where he took off. Once he was back in the safe he walked up to the stand and removed the armour, Izuku collapsing once he was out of there "What a rush" he said grabbing his glasses of the nearby desk and heading for the exit, stopping to grab a high tech looking watch next to the elevator door.
"DEKU YOU DAMN NERD!" Bakugo said grabbing Izuku in a headlock
"Great to see you too Kacchan" Izuku muttered
"WHERE WERE YOU!" the blonde exploded again
"I was stuck in a cupboard!" Izuku snarled breaking the headlock 'that's sort of true' he though
"Oh well, you missed out on all the action again" Bakugo smirked
"What happened?" Izuku asked
"A new hero showed up, War Machine" Tomoyo said "He destroyed most of the AIM Forces before flying off"
"Interesting, shame I missed it" Izuku said
"Yeah it was, anyway we're heading back to school, where we'll be dismissed" Tomoyo said
"You got it" Izuku said as he three rejoined their class, Izuku secretly smiling
"Man what a day" Izuku said as he took off his glasses and booted up his computer. "I wonder how her day has been" he said looking at his phone
"Apparently it was a good day, the school was serving her favourite food today and she got top scores on a pop quiz" a female voice said spooking Izuku so badly he fell off his chair
"What, who?" Izuku asked looking
"OH I'm sorry about that, I thought you had some inkling about me when you grabbed that tech watch" the voice said again "I'm the Very Intelligent Digital Assistant" the voice said
"Vida?" Izuku asked
"Yes, I was designed by your grandfather to help him and in extension you as well" Vida said
"With what?" Izuku asked
"Various things from keeping your appointments, tracking your assignments and homework to helping you pilot the War Machine armour" Vida said
"That's cool" Izuku said before frowning "My grandfather mention a vault where he kept various weapons of the Marvellous age, do you happen to know where its located?" he asked
"I do, the UAV or rather United Alliance Vault is hidden underneath the United Alliance High School" Vida said
"UA High! okay then" Izuku said "Looks like I have more reason to go to UA now" he said smiling.
G'day Guys Grizz here so this has been a plot bunny I've been wanting to do for awhile, only difference is that my original plan for thsi kind of fic was that Izuku would be piloting the oringial Ironman armours but since there a literal dozen or more fics I thought I would switch out Ironman for War Machine since I don't think its been done before; also the fiance will have something special which I've been trying to do a fic for awhile, but I won't reveal what that is until later on in the fic if I get that far, but I'll reveal the fiance next chapter because its another pairing I haven't done before but been wanting to do
