Rountree was sound asleep when he heard his phone ring. When he checked the caller I.D, he was pleasantly surprised to see that Fatima was calling him. "Hey, why you calling me at 3 in the morning?" he asked. "I'm sorry, I just woke up and I'm not at home. I didn't go anywhere last night, I went straight home.I'm scared, I have no idea where I am or how I got here," she sobbed. Rountree could hear that she was crying. "Okay, try to relax. I'm going to use the tracing function, and I'll come pick you up. Have you seen anyone or heard anything?" he asked, trying to stay calm as he traced her phone. "Okay, stay calm, I'm on my way. Don't hang up, okay?" he said. "I'm going to ask you a few questions, just relax. It's okay. Can you tell me what you see?" he was speaking in a calm, even tone, because he knew that Fatima would freak out even more if she sensed that he was worried. "I don't know, there's no light. I think everything is the same color, and I'm sitting on the floor. I have a blanket but it's really hot in here. I think it's airtight," she sobbed. "Hey, you're okay. Listen, are you dressed? I know it's uncomfortable, but I ned to know," he said gently. Fatima didn't answer. "Sweetie, can you hear me?" he asked. "Yeah, please hurry. I'm scared" she whimpered."Hey, hey, you're okay, right? You're not hurt?" he asked gently. "My leg really hurts, Its bleeding and I can't move it. I think I have a wound in my stomach but I can't tell," she cried. "Hey, sweetheart, stay calm, it's okay, I'm coming, I'm almost there, it's okay. You're not having trouble breathing, are you?" he asked gently. "No, but I think the room is running out of oxygen. It's getting harder to breathe. Please hurry, I'm scared," she said softly. "Hey, I'm pulling up. You're okay, just stay where you are, okay?" He ran inside and drew his gun. He kicked open a door and saw his partner in the corner. Her hair was down, and she looked incredibly weak. He rushed over and held her as he called for an ambulance. Once they were at the hospital, Fatima had to go into another room for exams while Rountree briefed the rest of the team. A few hours later, Rountree was in the hospital room with Fatima, Nell was working in OPS, Kensi and Deeks were in the warehouse looking for clues, and Callen and Sam were helping Kensi and Deeks by going building to building and collecting surveillance footage. Rountree reached over and took Fatima's hands in his. "Did you see anything that could help us? Any little detail can help, sweetheart," he said gently. Fatima sniffled. "No, I told you, I went to sleep and when I woke up I was in that unit. I don't think he realized my phone was in my pocket because I had a case on my nightstand," she said quietly. "Okay, it's okay, listen. Do you want me to help you put your hair up?" he whispered. She shook her head. "I can't, I don't have anything" she said quietly. Rountree's phone went off, so he reached over and grabbed it. He read the screen and looked up at Fatima. "Kensi and Deks have a man in custody. He says his name is Cobra, but that's all he's saying," he said softly. "No, no, no, no, no, it can't be Cobra," she whispered. "What do you mean, sweetie?" he asked softly. Once Fatima explained everything about her mission in Egypt and how she ws captured, she looked up at Rountree. "It's not possible, they blew him up," she said quietly. Rountree kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry, sweetie. I promise we will figure this out, okay?" he said softly. She nodded. "Hey, Kensi just texted and asked if you want anything from home," he said softly. "Maybe a change of clothes. Can I text her, there's some things I need that are more personal," she said, turning red. Rountree wordlessly passed her his phone. "I'm going to have Nell crash your phone, okay? You can use mine until someone gives you a new one. That will be safest for everyone," he said softly as she sent the message to Kensi. A few minutes later, a nurse walked in. "Hey, honey, we need to draw some blood, okay?" Fatima looked up. "No, she said softly. Rountree looked over at her. "Hey, sweetie, she's not going to hurt you. She just needs to draw some blood so they can run tests. Do you want me to hold your hand?" he asked gently. Fatima nodded, so he went over ansd sat on the bed. He took her hand in his and gently kissed her head. The nurse walked over and gently cleaned her arm with an alcohol pad, then drew the blood quickly. Meanwhile at the boatshed, Deeks was interrogating "Cobra". "Why did you kidnap my friend?"Deeks snapped. "Because your friend killed my brother," the man said. "Who is your brother?" Deeks asked. "My brother was called Cobra. Now I am Cobra," the man said. Then Deeks remembered what Fatima, Sam, and Callen had told them about Cobra. "Your brother kidnapped my friend. She is innocent. You kidnapped my friend for something that she had no control over. She did not decide to blow up that tent. And I truly do feel bad that your brother is dead. But my friend is not responsible for that," Deeks said quietly. Back at the hospital, Fatima was curled up with her partner. Then Kensi knocked on the door, even though it was open. Fatima smiled and motioned for her to come in. "How are you feeling?" she asked as she set a gym bag on the floor next to the bed. "Better, I guess. They said I can go home soon, but I'm not sure I want to. I mean, I'm not sure it's safe to go back home. How did this guy even know where to find me?" she said quietly. "He probably followed you. Where were you before you went home last night?" Kensi asked. Fatima paused for a second. "I picked up some groceries for my mom, and I stopped to get gas, but then I went home," she said, confused. "You still have no memory of how you got in the freezer unit?" Kensi asked gently. Fatima shook her head. "I swear, the last thing I remember is getting in bed last night. I had the TV on low, but I fell asleep pretty fast," she whispered. Kensi nodded. "When you do that, do your parents come in and turn it off?" Kensi asked. Fatima shook her head. "It's usually on an hour timer," she said. "Do your parents have cameras in the house?"Kensi asked gently. "Fatima shook her head. "Only outside," she whispered. Kensi nodded. "I'm going to send Callen and Sam to collect that footage. Then maybe we can figure out exactly what happened last night," she said. A few hours later, Kensi had the footage on her phone. "Do you want to see it?" Kensi asked gently. Fatima nodded, so Kensi passed her the phone. Not much could be seen, only a man dragging Fatima's limp body and putting her in a van, then the van driving away. Then a nurse walked in. "Your blood test came back, there was definitely a mix of different tranqualizers, which is probably why you never woke up until you were in the freezer unit, and why you don't remember anything. You will likely begin remembering things, but it will be a while before you remember everything perfectly," the nurse said. Fatima nodded. "What about the wound in my leg and stomach?" she asked. "That is where they shot you with the tranqualizer darts. Likely they shot your stomach first, then saw that you were starting to move so they shot your leg. Are you in any pain, honey?"she said, reaching for a small bottle. "Not really, I just really want to know how this happened," Fatima said quietly. Rountree nodded and kissed her head. A few hours later, Rountree's phone rang. He stepped out of the room, just to be sure Fatima wouldn't get upset. "What's up?" he asked. "Full confession. He broke in, shot her with the dart, dragged her out the window. He put her in the unit thinking he would come back. He never told me what he wanted to do to her, but we definitely got enough to arrest him. Ask Fatima if she wants some alone time," Deeks said. Rountre stepped into the room. "Deeks said they got a full confession. He wants to know if you want to be alone with him?" he asked gently. Fatima looked up. "Can we force him to tell me what he did?" she asked. "Of course. And I will be there the whole time unless you tell me to leave, okay?" he said sweetly. She nodded as he repeated what they agreed on to Deeks. Pretty soon after, Fatima was released and taken to the boatshed.
