Chapter 7
Tufts of dark purple hair walked up some stairs hoping to reach her destination in the next few seconds.
It was boxing day and Yumi had to give something to Izuku and Toga as she forgot to do it before Christmas.
The snow had been falling for a few days now but as of right now it was calm.
She walked over to the front door of the two trainees and knocked. After a few seconds, the door slowly opened with Izuku standing in the doorway.
Slightly surprised at the fact Yumi was here, Izuku made his thoughts clear for her. "Oh, Yumi what're you doing here?"
She then pulled out two letters signed for Izuku and Toga. "Sorry, I meant to give these before Christmas but I didn't get a chance." She bowed slightly as she handed the letters to the green-haired teen.
Izuku opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by Toga yelling at him from the kitchen.
"Hey Izuku, who is it?"
Instead of answering Izuku said something a bit weird for the teen. "Do you want to come in for a bit?"
Before Yumi could say anything she found herself walking in anyway. Thanks to how cold she was, her body moved on its own.
"Oh Yumi, welcome." Inko said while sitting on the couch.
Inko was still in recovery but was allowed home recently for Christmas so Izuku and Toga have had to do everything by themselves which was a bit weird for the two but they've been doing well. While Inko was still in the hospital the two spent a lot of time at Mirko's agency even spending a few nights there thanks to Mirko not wanting them to be by themselves.
"Hello Inko, how is your leg?"
The woman smiled. "It's been better, but I'm alright. Thanks for asking."
"Since you're here you want to have dinner with us?" Toga asked.
"Oh no, I couldn't do that."
"Oh don't be silly, join us." Inko said the smile remained on her face.
Feeling pressured, Yumi sat down to enjoy a meal with the pseudo-family.
Almost forgetting why she was here, to begin with, she stopped herself from sitting down and reminded Izuku about the letters.
Izuku waited a few minutes for Toga to finish making dinner before he handed her letter to her.
As they all sat around the table Izuku and Toga began opening their letters only to be taken aback by what they saw.
It was an invitation to the Japanese Hero Billboard Chart.
"W-w-what?" That was all Toga could muster to say.
"Wait aren't you only allowed to invite 5 people?" Izuku asked Yumi who looked at him for a second before replying.
"Yep, You, Me and Toga are the only 3 Rumi's inviting this year. Normally it's just me."
Was this real? Izuku had always wanted to go to the Japanese Hero Billboard Charts but couldn't due to money problems.
"Merry Christmas!"
Toga pounced on Yumi, happiness flowing out of the teen.
Following that the four sat down to eat the meal. And for the rest of the night, the two teens were jumping for joy.
A few days after that.
"Well everyone let's start this Hero Billboard Chart with a Happy New Year. I hope everyone watching and listening has an amazing 2149."
"I can't believe I'm actually here!" A certain blonde teen stood in shock at where she was.
"Quiet down, Kid." Mirko smacked Toga on the back of the head.
The four of them were sitting in the stands.
Even now the two teens were getting weird looks. But this was because they were with Mirko not like the normal looks.
Everybody tensed as the lights on the stage lit up.
"I would to thank everyone for coming out here for this." An older woman said.
"And now onto the rankings."
"In No.10 is Gang Orca!"
"Hmph."
In No. 9 is Dragon Hero: Ryukyu!"
"I really don't deserve this." She said while scratching the back of her head.
"Up next is The Equipped Hero: Yoroi Musha!"
"Apart from the first three, this is pointless."
"Next up taking a drop since last year is Rabbit Hero: Mirko!"
She stood up like the other heroes before her and spoke. "I know why I dropped but I don't care, I would help these two again."
Izuku was shocked and happy by what she said.
She sat back down, Izuku leaned closer and whispered to her, "Thank you."
She smiled.
The rest of the event was normal for the people.
As they left Izuku noticed Mirko began walking in the other direction of her agency.
"Where are you going?"
"To the afterparty. You coming?"
"There's an afterparty?!" Toga spoke.
The two teens quickly followed their bunny teacher.
Quickly the group of four arrived at a building.
They approached the bouncer and Mirko cleared the other three.
They all walked in and saw a bunch of other heroes ranging from Fat Gum to Hawks.
Yumi instantly broke off from the group and made her way over to the other in-office workers that were brought along.
Mirko dragged Izuku and Toga over to the other heroes.
Once they arrived Hawks was the first to speak up.
"It's rare to see you here Rumi." Hawks said with a smile.
"I'm not here for me, it's for these two." She replied clearing anything Hawks was thinking up in a moment.
"It's great to meet you." Hawks said while extending his hand to Izuku and Toga.
Trying not to enter full-blown fangirl Toga shook his hand. "Likewise."
Izuku on the other hand was not trying to hold himself back at all.
"Hawks It's great to meet you I've been a fan ever since you first became a hero and I have a few questions I was hoping you could answer," Without giving Hawks a chance to reply Izuku continued his breathless questioning. "How can you move so fast? Oh, and what happens after you lose a wing do they just grow back? If so how fast? Also, have you tried giving your wings to other heroes to let them fly?"
*BANG
The sound of Mirko's hand slapping the back of Izuku's head rang out through the entire room. "You're doing it again, stop."
Izuku began looking down.
"Oh look who it is."
Mirko looked at the man from the side of her eyes. "Endeavor."
Izuku looked up to see the flaming man.
The air suddenly got tense as these two as stared off each other.
It was like watching a rabbit face off against a dragon.
At least until the actual dragon stepped in between them.
Ryukyu placed her hand on Mirko's shoulder in an attempt to stop a fight.
After a few more seconds Mirko walked back over to Izuku and Toga with Ryukyu right behind her.
"What was that about?" Izuku asked as the two heroines approached him.
"They aren't exactly friends," Ryukyu said while smiling at the teens.
"Anyway are you two the sidekicks I keep hearing about."
"You've heard about us?" Toga said shocked by the fact she had heard about them.
"Well yeah It's kinda hard not to hear about you two after all you were the only thing news stations talked about for a while."
"Ah yeah, that makes sense."
"Anyway, how've you been?"
The dragon hero asked Mirko.
"Decent enough." Mirko said still a bit annoyed by what just happened.
Despite not liking to work with other heroes Mirko still held a lot of respect for some of them, Ryukyu being one.
This respect started a friendship between the two top pros.
"Sooo why'd you bring the kids along?" Ryukyu asked her gaze shifting over to Izuku and Toga.
"Well one day these kids are gonna be invited to this themselves so this is me giving them some experience."
"Heh, you've got a soft spot for these kids, huh?" Ryukyu laughed as Mirko avoided eye contact.
She turned on her feet to now face the two teens. "I'm Ryukyu, but since you're friends with Mirko here just call me Tatsuma." She said with a smile that stretched from ear to ear. (Or they would say if they could see the right side of her face.)
"Nice to meet you, I'm Himiko Toga." Next to the blonde was a green-haired boy jumping up and down with a notepad and a pen in his hands. As for where they came from nobody knew.
"Nicetomeetyoui'mIzukuMidoriyasoihaveafewquestionsabouthowyourquirkworkscanyoubreathfireohohhowdoestranformingworkdoesithurthaveyoueverdonebyacident" Izuku asked without even stopping to take a breath.
*Bang
Once again the sound of Mirko's hand impacting Izuku's head made its way through the entire venue.
Ryukyu watched in amazement at the teen, but then remember about the teen she herself had bought along.
She pulled out her phone and shot a text toward a certain sky-blue-haired girl she knew.
All of a sudden from out of nowhere a blur of blue appeared in front of them all as she stood still but was bounding from her almost teleportation like speed.
"Hey hey, you guys are the ones who work under Mirko right, right?" The girl asked motion blur still making her body obscure, they stood staring at the girl slightly confused by her sudden appearance, Izuku opened his mouth but was cut off by the girl who didn't give the two a chance to answer her question. "Does that mean you're strong, oh oh I want to fight now?"
Ryukyu looked at the girl and then looked back at the teens and mouthed toward them 'Don't mind her.' They both nodded.
After that, these 5 stuck around each other as a group with Izuku and Toga getting to know Nejire and talking to her about what it's like to be in UA getting as much information as they could from the second year.
After the party, the group split back into its smaller groups, Izuku and Toga going with Mirko, while Nejire went with Ryukyu. Yumi decided to stay a little longer to mingle with the office workers.
The sun was beginning to set Izuku and Toga not knowing where they were decided it would be best to just follow Mirko, as they went the streets began to thin with fewer people the farther they went until they arrived at a place Izuku recognized immediately, they were standing in front of a staircase that led down with a neon sign outside. "What are we doing here?" Izuku asked while looking at his teacher's back, Toga looking in confusion as she hasn't been here before, she turned slightly to look back at the two.
"We have a few people that want to see us." She said before taking a step down the staircase, Toga followed quickly not knowing where she was going but trusting Mirko, Izuku let a heavy sigh before slowly descending into the darkness, upon arriving at the bottom he was met with the horrible sight that had ingrained itself in his head.
Mirko turned around to face Toga. "Welcome to the underworld Toga." Toga's eye widened at this, this was the place Izuku had seen what happened to that man, Toga suddenly got a lot closer to Mirko.
Izuku walked along following just behind the two as they got weird looks because of Mirko being in her hero costume, he then bumped into someone, he looked to bow and apologise but when he saw the face of the person he bumped into he froze, Izuku was standing face to face with Shi, he felt a sickness in his stomach begin to rise up. "Oh, you're the kid that managed to land a hit on Charon." He said interested in the teen, Mirko looked back to see the scene and went to take a step but was stopped by a hand grabbing her hand, she turned around to see Aphrodite.
"Shi." was the only thing Izuku said.
"Oh so you remember me do you, I feel so honoured." He said a grin plastering his face, Izuku felt the power of One for All begin to flow through his body but clenched his fist to hold it back from bursting at the seams.
All of a sudden everyone in the area around them was shot away to create a massive arena made solely for the two of them. "I've wanted to fight you since I saw that fight."
Izuku leapt away from the man then opened his hand as he did the green lightning engulfed him, 35%.
The smile on Shi's face widened before he lifted his right hand and brought it down, without meaning to do so something within Izuku moved to the right and dodged as the ground where he was previously standing was crushed under the weight of nothing.
'Cut the distance, he's weakest up close.' A voice inside Izuku's head said, although it wasn't his voice, it was the voice of a woman.
Listening to it he shot toward the man and like the voice had said the man tried to back away confirming what it said, but he wasn't fast enough, Izuku sunk his fist into the stomach of Shi causing him to be shot back toward the crowd of people, he skid to a stop rage feeling filling him, he raised both hands and was about to bring the whole building down but was stopped by a blade as black as the night placing itself on his neck.
"Charon. Move." The blade slightly sunk in just enough to draw blood.
"Alright fine, I understand I'll leave him alone." Shi backed down. He was smarter than to try and fight Charon.
Hermes stood in front of Izuku stopping him from moving forward, at seeing him Izuku deactivated One for All and turned around and walked over to Mirko, Hermes and Charon quickly following behind, Charon not taking his eyes off Shi, Shi eyes however were locked onto Izuku, 'He looked just like her.' He thought as images of a woman in a purple hero costume flashed through his head.
Izuku, Toga and Mirko arrived at The Order's Base of Operations (Or as Aphrodite put it. The Fun House.) "This is why we came down here?" Izuku asked Mirko who nodded at him, looking around Izuku saw all kinds of weapons, information and a sign with an arrow on it that says "Aphrodite's fun cave." and written in smaller words underneath, "It's not that fun - Hermes."
Both teens decided to try their best to ignore that, they kept walking until they reached a room with 3 beds Aphrodite was jumping up and down like a child on Christmas (Which isn't that far off from reality.)
*Bang
The sound of Izuku's head being slapped echoed for the third time that day. "Okay, you really need to stop that!" He shouted as he turned around rubbing the back of his head, until his head was fully behind and he saw it, a box in Mirko's hands.
"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year." She said as handed the box, he looked at it and then back at her and she nodded, following that Izuku opened it and saw a pair of black shoes sitting inside at the top was a red covering connecting his legs to his shoe, at the front was three holes, upon touching them he realised they were made of some kind of metal, but what caught his eyes and his attention was the yellow quarter moon lining the side of the shoes.
Izuku was lost for words, Mirko smiled then pointed behind him toward Toga, Izuku turned to see The Order giving her something.
It was a smaller box with a rowboat on the top, she removed the top to reveal a black sheath with a black handle sticking out of it, she took it out of the box and unsheathed it, only to be greeted by a black knife. "Happy New Year!" Aphrodite shouted.
"We hope you enjoy the gift." Hermes said trying his hardest not to be dragged into Aphrodite's hyper excitement.
"That blade was made by Charon." Everyone turned to look at the man who simply groaned. "It's a good metal but the kicker is while he was making it, he added little bits of his quirk in, making it basically unbreakable."
Aphrodite managed to calm herself down and hugged Toga. "You may not have noticed because you were too busy paying attention to Midoriya but you've grown just as much as he has." She whispered to the blonde.
Charon crouched down to be at eye level with the teen and said the first thing he said for the whole day. "Proud."
That single word was enough for Toga to break down, the tears began flowing as she embraced the weapons master and squeezed him tightly.
As she cried and hugged them both for at least 3 minutes before she managed to stop crying, "All right now onto the next gift!" Mirko shouted causing everyone to turn their heads in her direction, confusion etched itself onto their faces (except Charon who remained as stoic as ever). Mirko pulled two sheets of paper out of her bag, looking at the paper the confusion got worse.
"Paperwork?" Izuku asked. Mirko had to hold back the urge to smack him on the head again.
"UA Sponsorship forms." Mirko slightly explained.
"What the hell is that?" Toga asked this time. Once again Mirko held back her palm.
"A Sponsorship is where a pro hero's agency pays for everything about someone attending a hero school, things like school uniform's and school trips all the money will be paid by me." Their eyes widened at this, Mirko was offering to pay for everything.
"No, no we can't ta-" Izuku was cut off by Mirko who continued her explanation.
"But in return every time you guys do something that involves a hero agency you will be automatically signed up to mine. Also, I'm not letting you refuse you're doing this."
They were lost for words, however, Aphrodite was not. "Well, would you look at that, everything turning out great for you two, huh?"
They both hugged her for the last hug of the night, they thanked her while they did so, they quickly signed it and then after about 30 minutes they left and made their way home.
Looking back on the last 7 months his life had changed so much and hopefully, it would change even more in the future.

Hey everyone I know it's been a while and I'm sorry about that, but with the new year I've decided I'm gonna start doing this a lot more, and a lot better (Hopefully lmao)
Anyway I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year, I meant to upload this on New Year but I had stuff to do and didn't get the chance.
Oh yeah I started a new series which I'm quite proud of honestly I recommend it as I'm going to try to balance doing this and that (And one other thing but I haven't started that yet)
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this, the original arc is finally over, the next chapter will be the UA entrance exam, so look forward to that.
