Gien: Bomber!
Gien, leader of the Gara Droids and arch enemy of Steven and the Crystal gems. After losing his second in command Viggo Stryker, he attempted on releaseing one of his first creations, the Cluster. However it did not go so well as the geoweapon turned against it's creator, crushing his ship. However the traitorous Bomber the Great disabled his escape pod.
Gien: The space bridge.
Gien ran to his lab and activated the space bridge. He set the destination to Homeworld back to his main lab. But it was too late, the ceiling of the ship began to collapse onto him.
Gien: What no! AURGH!
Gien is now trapped under the debris as the walls began to close and is equipment began to explode. The space bridge was open and was right there he had to try and get to it. He couldn't get out. He was trapped.
Gien: ( in his mind) If I had any single regret for the countless horrific events that have transpired in my wake...it's that I'm dying. ( out loud) NOOOOOAAAARRRGGHH!
The Cluster continued to crush the ship and finally it explodes. We see in the inside of the ship that the space bridge explodes and lets out a bright light, engulfing Gien.
Everything happened so fast all of the sudden, he was being warped. He was screaming as his body flickered black and white and the portal area around him was all blue and white. This isn't like the normal space bridge travel like he normally did this was different. Where was he going?
As this happens we cut to a different planet, it looked green and had some resemblance to Earth. The planet was called Morag. A different world. A different time. This was the advanced planet different from Earth. This was...
A Different Universe
Chapter 1: Taken Prisoner
The scene shifts down to the planet. There was city and in the center of it was a palace. At the entrance it was called the Ura, that was the name of the kingdom. We move to the palace. There was a large garden there and a young princess was there. She appeared to be 15 years old. She stood as tall as Lapis. Her dress was violette along with her eyes. She had pink hair tied in a waterfall. She was sitting by the fountain. She was staring at her reflection smiling as she had her hand in the water. Then she noticed in the reflection the sky was starting to crack. She looked back up as the sky cracked some more and a portal opened. The winds caused by it was blowing the plants and flowers as she covered her eyes from the dust.
Princess: What...What's happening?
She tried looking back up and for a second she could have sworn she saw someone or something fall down from it. The figure fell from the other side of the garden. With that the portal closed and everything went back to normal.
Princess: What was that and did I see someone fall?
She went to go investigate at the estimated part of where this person fell. She looked around but couldn't find anything. She thought she heard something from a bush. The ruffling sounds startled her for a moment but she had to see. Before she could check she heard someone call for her.
?: Princess Erza! Princess Erza!
Princess Erza was her name, she looked back to see who it was. It was her bodyguard assigned to her. She was a young woman with an athletic build who stood as tall as Garnet. She had long blue hair with brown eyes. She wore bronze armor that was sort of in a form of a mini skirt which consisted of metal and leather along with bronze colored boots. Around her waist utility belt with items and a sword.
Princess Erza: Oh, it's you Emmy.
Emmy: There you are. What did I say about you going outside without me?
Princess Erza: I'm only in my garden, I'm not in the town.
Emmy: You're mother assigned me to be by you at all times. What if the Garma are near and they try to assasinate you?
Princess Erza: I know I'm sorry. I just thought I'd give you a break to get away from me.
Emmy: You're highness, I can never be tired of being with you. You know I enjoy every moment with you.
Emmy placed her hand on her head as Erza giggled and held her hand.
Princess Erza: Okay, I get it. I won't do that again.
Emmy smiled at her but then had a serious look remembeing another reason she rushed over here.
Emmy: Princess Erza, you saw that strange opening in the sky did you?
Princess Erza: Yes, I think I saw someone fell.
Emmy: What, really?
Princess Erza: I thought I heard something behind the bush.
Emmy: Let me see.
Emmy went in front of her. They both looked behind it and to their confusion it looked like some kind of robotic being ( Gien). It had golden armor on one half of it's body and the other half was it's exposed endoskeleton. It was missing it's left arm and lower torso and legs. One of the V crests was broken in half and the jaw and chin on the mouth was missing and eyes were dark. It overall looked pretty beat up and broken. It lied there motionless.
Emmy: Is that...is that some kind of robot?
Princess Erza: That's what fell from the sky?
Princess Erza took a closer look at it. She leaned down to look at him.
Emmy: Your highness don't get too close.
Princess Erza: Relax, he's all broken.
Erza looked at his body and noticed somethin on his chest. It was a gemstone, a peridot gem but it was all cracked. She took a closer look and tried to touch it, but suddenly Gien awakened and grabbed Erza by the wrist as she screamed. He began to speak, even without his jaw, he could still speak through his voice box, although it sounded all distorted.
Gien: Don't touch that!
Princess Erza: Let go me.
Emmy: Princess!
Gien: Do you realize what you could have...done?
But once Gien's eys began to lit up, he looked to see who he though was his attacker. It was a young girl he's never seen before. But her appearence and looks along with the hair it reminded him so much of someone he knew as he loosened his grip on her.
Gien: P-Pink Diamond?
Princess Erza: What?
Suddenly Emmy kicked him across the face, making him let go of her as she fell back. Emmy drew out her sword and pointed it at Gien's face.
Emmy: I knew it was a trap.
Gien: Trap? What trap?
Emmy: Don't give that stupid act. You just assaulted our princess. You are part of the Garma.
Gien: Princess? Garma? What?
Emmy: Guards!
Two of the palace guards entered the scene.
Emmy: Take this...this thing to the Queen. He attacked our princess.
The gurads brought him up and dragged him away as Emmy helped up Princess Erza.
Emmy: Your highness are you alright?
Princess Erza: I'm fine, he had a tight grip on me but I'm not hurt.
Emmy: Good. Come on, let's head to the Queen's throne room.
Princess Erza turned and looked as the robot was being taken away. But she wasn't sure about this. The way he looked at her when his vision regained and loosened his grip made her wonder, is he really a spy from the Garma or just a scared being who's lost.
Scene cuts to Gien being dragged to the throne room. He was confused what was happening.
Gien: ( in his mind) What is going on? Where am I? I was just in my ship, about to die from the Cluster and all the sudden I end up here. But who are these people? Was...was I in stasis for so long that I ended up in the future?
So many questions were racing through his head. Soon he ended up in the throne room. It was large room with a fancy carpet that started from the door to the throne. There were large pillars, paintings and palace guards and large statue of a woman, he thought this might be a historical figure or something. There was a throne and he saw what appeared to be the queen. She stood as tall as Pearl. She wore a blue and silver dress with silver crown, had violette hair and eyes tied to a bun. Around her neck was a necklace that had some kind of medallion with a bow on it. She looked down at Gien with a stern and serious look on her face. Moments later Princess Erza and Emmy entered the room. Emmy stepped forth and bowed to her.
Emmy: Greetings Queen Mia.
Queen Mia: Emmy, what is going on? Who is this stranger?
Emmy: You're majesty, I came to inform you that this being attacked your daughter.
Queen Mia: ( eyes widened) What?
Emmy: He is part of the Garma and was sent to attack her.
Queen Mia: How did he even get in here. This palace is heavily guarded.
Princess Erza stepped up to speak.
Princess Erza: I saw him fall from a strange portal from the sky mother.
Queen Mia: A strange portal?
Princess Erza: I know it sounds crazy, but I saw it, Emmy did too.
Emmy: It's true your majesty.
Queen Mia: Did he really attack you daughter?
Princess Erza: Well, if you count grabbing someone's wrist really hard attacking maybe, but before you sentence any punishment on him, I think we need to here his side of the story.
Queen Mia: His side?
Princess Erza: Yes, we don't truly know who he is or if he's with the Garma.
Emmy: You're highness what are you doing?
Princess Erza: I'm doing what is right and that's hearing him out first.
Emmy: He attacked you!
Princess Erza: He was probably scared and didn't know where he is now, just look at him.
Emmy: You're highness don't...you're majesty please tell her.
Queen Mia: Very well. Let's here what the prisoner has to say.
Emmy couldn't believe that the Queen was going to listen to what this thing is. She thought he looked suspicious and anything that attacks her princess is bad news. But had to accept it as she noticed Princess Erza smiling and bowing to her.
Princess Erza: Thank you mother.
Gien looked at Erza, they could have sentenced him to death right now, but she gave him a chance. And what for, she doens't even know who or what he is.
Queen Mia: You there.
Gien looked up at Queen Mia.
Queen Mia: Explain, who are you? Where do you come from?
Gien tried to speak, his distorted voice disturbed most people in the room.
Gien: I-I am Gien. Leader of the Gara Droids.
Queen Mia: The Gara Droids? So you are not affiliated with the Garma hive?
Gien: I don't know what that is? I don't even know where I am.
Queen Mia: This is the Kingdom of Ura
Gien: Ura? Where on Earth is that?
Queen Mia: What is this Earth?
Gien: What is Earth? What do you mean what is Earth?! That's the planet we are on!
Emmy: Do not question the queen like that!
Queen Mia: It's alright Emmy. You're mind probably is hazy. This is the planet Morag.
Gien: What?!
Gien looked down all shocked but it was starting to make sense.
Gien: ( in his mind) Of course it all makes sense. When the space bridge exploded in my ship, it transported me to a different planet, but I've never heard of this planet Morag. I don't recall seeing it on any of my star maps. ( silent chuckles) Bomber you thought you killed me, oh but just wait till I get back.
Queen Mia: Gien? Gien?
Gien snapped out of his trance and looked back up.
Gien: Uh ( ahem) forgive me your majesty. ( in his mind) I must play along with this. One wrong move and I'll be sacrificed or stuffed.
Queen Mia: This Earth, is that where you are from?
Gien: Well sort of. I was sent their from my planet to go there.
There was the sound other people in the room chattering about his story until Queen Mia raised her hand to silence them.
Queen Mia: So you're a race of robots called Gara Droids from another world. Like the Garma?
Gien: No, no, I mean well yes, I don't know what these Garma do, but I...uh...I was sent from my planet to exterminate these rebels from my homworld because they're traitors. The Gara Droids are... defenders of the galaxy. We stop evil threats from attacking planets or colonizing them. These rebels killed one of my queens from my planet.
Gien told them his story, it was partially true at least in his perspective, but twisted it not wanting to be executed. He can't die now. He had to fool these low lifes and find a way to get back to Earth. The people in the room chattered again as Queen Mia looked at him somewhat surprised. She raised her hand up to silence the crowd once more.
Queen Mia: Is that right? How is it that you ended up here.
Gien: That... I cannot explain for I don't even understand how it happened. I was in my ship about to be crushed and my portal generator I call a space bridge exploded atrasported me here.
Emmy: Your majesty, do you truly believe what he is saying?
Queen Mia: I don't truly know.
Gien: You don't believe me?
Queen Mia: It's hard to say, but I think for saftey measures we should have King Aron of Thra to hear this is well. Guards, keep him restrained for now. We're heading off to the Kingdom of Thra. You can explain your story to them as well.
Emmy nodded while Princess Erza spoke up.
Princess Erza: Mother is this necassary.
Queen Mia: Yes Erza. For the saftey of our planet we have to make sure he is not a threat.
Princess Erza: I-I understand.
Queen Mia: Good, get ready. We leave as soon as possible.
Emmy: Come your highness. You must get ready.
As Queen Mia and Emmy left the room, Princess Erza looked at the guards dragging Gien.
Princess Erza: Wait just one minute.
The guards stopped as Princess Erza looked at Gien.
Princess Erza: I'm sorry this is happening. I hope things turn out okay at then end.
Gien: Why...Why are you doing this?
Princess Erza: I don't make judgements on people until I know the truth. I just hope you're telling it.
Gien: ( silent chuckles) You shall find out soon.
The guards took him away as Princess Erza stood there for another minute until leaving to get ready to go to Thra.

Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. So this is a spin off or maybe you should say midquel to Advent of the Gara Droids taking place in between the chapters " Return of the Cluster" and " Next Target, the Traitors." While this was meant to be in the main story, it was then decided not to because it was quite a turn and I didn't want to rush it, I don't even know if I should call this a Steven Universe story, it's part of my Gara Droids canon but that's it. Plus I wanted to introduce others characters I made that would soon make an appearence in another story. But we'll get to that later. Don't worry this won't be as long as my current one.
