"How long did you say we should give these other worlds before introducing ourselves?" Paint asked Shakara who was waving a rattle above her newborn daughter, Nezumi, in the crib, making her laugh.
Shakara thought about it for a second before replying "I said a year, so it should be at least... Four weeks left?", she said that more as a question rather than an answer.
Paint looked at her as if she was stupid, which Shakara actually is a bit, "You haven't even been counting how much time has passed?" She asked waiting for Shakara to reveal it was a joke, "Wel-" Shakara was about to reply, but got interrupted by a noise coming from outside, "Tell me it's not more aliens..." Paint said.
They looked from the balcony of Nezumi's room and they saw four girls fighting against some of the castle guards, "What the hell are they doing!?" Shakara yelled as she started running to the commotion.
1 day earlier at Beacon.
"James told me that they've discovered the most likely cause of this dimensional mess, it appears to be at the castle we've located a few months ago" Ozpin said, "Should we send someone to investigate" Glynda asked, "Send Team Rwby, they should be able to deal with this." Ozpin replied.
30 minutes before the commotion.
Team Rwby was approaching the Vortex Kingdom, wondering what could be happening there, "Does anyone know what were going to face?" Weiss asked worried it might be too dangerous, "No idea, but surely it can't be more dangerous than Grimms, right?" Blake said not trusting her own words.
"It might be, but that means we'll just have more fun!" Yang tried reassuring them, but only managed to cheer Ruby up, "I think we're almost there, if that's the right castle." Ruby said, pointing at the castle near their location.
The four of them hurried there and entered the town located right outside the castle walls, "There's a town here?" Blake asked, "Nevermind that, why are there Faunus here? Didn't this place appear just a year ago?" Weiss said referencing to the Shujians moving around town, not minding the presence of the four huntresses.
Ruby went up to one of the Shujians, meaning to ask if they knew about what happened to their world, the other three brought their guards up in case he wasn't friendly, "Excuse me sir" She said and the Shujian turned to her, "I wanted to ask, you wouldn't happen to know what happpened that fused our world together?" she asked and the Shujian just replied "The only thing that they made public is that our world fused with many more, how it happened wasn't"," Okay, thank you sir!" Ruby exclaimed as she hurried up to her friends and explained them what he said.
"So they revealed the result, but not the truth." Blake wondered, "Maybe they know more in the castle" Yang suggested, "Great idea, let's go." Weiss said and they all went to the castle.
At the entrance, they were greeted by two guards, a Silhouette and a pure Gorilla Shujian, "I'm sorry, but entrance is not allowed." The Shujian informed them, "We only need to talk to the owner of the castle, can't you please just let us in a moment?" Yang asked, but the Silhouette said "It's as he said, no one can enter, the Princess bride recently gave birth so no one is allowed in", "The princess bri- Nevermind, we just need to ask about this dimensional fusion thing." Weiss asked explaining the reason.
"No means no! If you don't leave of your own volition, then we'll have to make you leave." The Shujian said, readying his spear, "...Fine by me!" Yangf exclaimed before charging foward, shooting a cartridge when hitting him.
End flashback.
Shakara gathered the rest of the Elite Team to deal with these intruders, "Do you know know who they are?" Oracle asked, "No, we were in Nezumi's room playing with her, then we hear a noise outside." Paint explained, "Then do you knoew what they are?" Thinner asked, "Shujians, I think, they look older than they should be if they're still in their first stage." Shakara recounted, "Oh, and there was one with cat ears, but neither her hair nor limbs were glowing." Shakara added.
They got outside the castle, but saw that the intruders were already held on the ground by the guards, "I was expecting more resistance... Uhh... Bring them inside, tie them up first of course." Shakara said looking at the four 'Shujians' on the ground.
In the castle dining room.
"Why here?" Paint asked Shakara who was now holding Nezumi in her arms, "Why not?" Replied Shakara who was looking at Thinner bringing a bucket of ice water to the intruders and threw it at them, "OH MY GOD IT'S COLD!" The four of them screamed at the same time, throwing Shakara off, Shujians are hot blooded creatures.
When the intruders regained their composure, Shakara asked "Hello, i think you know why you're here?", the intruders looked at her with surprised faces, "What species of Faunus are you?" The black haired girl asked, "...What the fuck is a Faunus?" Paint asked confused, "Basically humans with animal ears and tails" the girl with blonde hair answered, "Human...? Are you four just making up words?" Shakara asked, now as confused as Paint.
This brought confusion to the four girls too, "You don't know what a human is?" the red haired girl asked, "No, is it some kind of food?", Oracle asced as she started scanning the intruders, "Hey, Shakara, do all Shujians change their ears?" Asked Thinner, "Yeah, why?" Shakara asked in response, "This one still has both." Thinner explained, "That's not possible, I would know, I rippedmy own off when I was six, remember?" Shakara reminded Thinner, but that didn't change the fact that he was right.
"How about we just ask them some things? How old are you?" Paint asked them and the white haired girl replied "We're all above fourteen.", the Shakara was really confused, "Above fourteen? If that's the case, why aren't your limbs or hair glowing? and why do you still have those ears?" Shakara asked confused.
With that, the intruders noticed that Shakara didn't have a second pair of ears like other Faunus do, "Wait, I geet it! You're from another world!" Shakara exclaimed making everyone else understand what happened.
"Yeah that does explain it, but now, we're going to have to ask you to bring us to whoever sent you here so we can speak to them." Paint told them.
