Prologue
Hinata Hyuga was an ordinary shinobi. Aside from her Byakugan, she was normal. But, what if she found out she had wish granting powers?
It happened in the 2nd Chunin Exams (ep 394-413 filler, pre shippuden) . They were trying to get back their heaven scroll from the team from Sunagakure. But the enemies are experts at escaping. Despite her team being experts at tracking, they were tired. They have been chasing after the enemy for hours.
"It was my fault. I should've been more careful."
"Kiba-kun, don't blame yourself. There was nothing we could do."
"We're going to fail this exam because of me. Damn it!"
"We shouldn't give up so easily. Naruto wouldn't have given up in this situation."
"Naruto huh... he's still training with Jiraiya Sensei. Who knows what he's doing right now?"
"Yeah.. Oh. it's getting dark. Let's camp for the night and continue to pursue them tomorrow."
"Alright.
Team 8 made a small camp. Hinata noticed something.
"Kiba-kun, Shino-kun, we are out of water."
"Shino, can you use your bugs to find us some water?"
"I can't. Why? Because my insects are tired. Sorry."
"I wish.. we can have some water.." Hinata sighed.
Suddenly with a poof, a small pond appeared in front of her. Team 8 looked at the pond in shock.
"Hey, Hinata, Shino, do you see a pond in front of us? Or am I too tired and I'm seeing things?"
"It.. it is a pond of water!"
"But.. how? Is this a genjutsu?"
Hinata activated her Byakugan with the last of her chakra and checked their surroundings.
"No one is in the area at the moment.. and it's not a genjutsu."
"Who cares, let's drink this water!"
"Hinata, is this... your doing?"
Hinata looked at Shino, confused.
"What do you mean?"
"You wished for water just now. Then, it appeared."
"That's.. impossible. Right?" Hinata felt nervous, deep down she knows she did make the pond appear, but how? She don't know.
"Test it out again. Wish for... hmm... for our scrolls?"
"Okay.. I wish for our team's heaven scroll and the Suna team's Earth scroll."
Two scrolls, one heaven, one earth, appeared with a poof in Hinata's hands. Hinata was surprised and bewildered. Kiba and Shino stared at the scrolls, shocked.
"... Hinata, you have wish granting powers? How come you never told us?" Kiba sounds confused at a little bit.. hurt.
"No! Kiba-kun, I never knew I had these kind of powers before. Until now."
"Never mind for now, can you see if we could arrive at the tower (endpoint of the Chunin exams) ? We have to inform our sensei about your new.. powers."
"I'll try. I wish for.. Kiba-kun, Shino-kun and I to be transported to the tower."
Flash! And they arrived in front of the tower. They quickly went in and gave their scrolls to the exam proctor. Then, they went to search for Kurenai Sensei. They found her speaking to Asuma sensei.
"Kurenai sensei!"
"Kiba , Hinata, Shino! You all passed the Chunin exams? Congrats!" Kurenai was very delighted at seeing them. She secretly felt proud that her team returned first. Asuma sighed. His 'team' (Ino, Choji, Sakura ) haven't returned yet.
Kurenai noticed her team is being unusually quiet.
"What happened?"
"Kurenai sensei... Hinata has— a new, weird power."
Kurenai was a little surprised. She thought they were joking, but Kiba's serious tone and the atmosphere tells her that they're not joking. She frowned.
"Mind to explain?"
They told her about the pond incident and the scroll incident. Kurenai processed the new information and thought.
"Hinata, let's discussed this after the Chunin Exams, Focus on the exams first. Okay?"
"Hai, Kurenai sensei."
