Well, I've finally made it to A Link Between Worlds! Between this and Triforce Heroes, I've got about ten of these kiss scenes planned. And, guess what, Ravio fans! I'm finally going to do a couple of kiss scenes with him! And not just Ravio/Hilda either...but that's a surprise for another day! ;-P

Hopefully I don't get as bogged down as I did with the Oracle games...

ANYWAYS...I know I technically don't need to include a disclaimer on these stories, but hey! The folks at Nintendo work super hard to make these games; they deserve all the recognition we can give them!

Lastly, as always, if you like this, or have recommendations on how to write better kiss scenes, please leave a review down below! Have a good one!

It wasn't often that thirteen-year-old Link was granted a break from the sweaty, strenuous work of a blacksmith's apprentice. Orders were always flowing in, proof of the prowess and renown of the smith under whom Link travailed. It had to be admitted, though, the man was not only the finest blacksmith in Hyrule, but the most exacting of those who worked for him as well. He was especially so of Link, due to his unfortunate habit of oversleeping in the morning.

Link grimaced at the thought as he stepped out the door of the blacksmith's shop. At least he put forth his best effort once he was awake, and he'd never expected the trade to be easy.

Today was rather unusual for Link's routine. He hadn't slept in for an entire week, so his boss had allowed him to call it a day earlier than usual - it was only six in the evening, when he'd normally be lucky to leave at nine. That left him with three extra hours of leisure time, and no way to spend it that he could think of off the top of his head. Gulley - his boss' young son and the only truly close friend Link had - was probably still helping his mother with the household chores, and he didn't really know most of the other children in Kakariko too well (not that there were any close to his age anyway).

He supposed he could always visit the Sanctuary north of the castle. The priest and his daughter Seres were probably the most compassionate people he knew, and they'd always been kind to him in the past. Seres, especially, was fun to hang out with. Most people only saw the gentle, demure side of her, but Link knew she could be quite the talker in private. She knew more about the world around them than one would guess at first glance, and was always eager to listen and learn about what little she didn't know. Too, she seemed to have inherited her father's wisdom in spades, and was always willing to give Link life advice, often turning the things he told her about blacksmithing into witty analogies for the things that confused or frustrated him about life.

Yes, the Sanctuary would be a good place to pass some of his free time, he decided.

It was no great distance from the blacksmith's shop - perhaps three miles through the pleasant environs of Hyrule Field. Link could get there in about half an hour at a good jog, which, thanks to the scenery, didn't really tire him out too much. It didn't even bring him up to a sweat - working long, strenuous hours next to a furnace had given his body a remarkable tolerance for heat.

And the reward of his jog was well worth it. Seres, it seemed, had just finished sprinkling water over the flowers around the Sanctuary, and was just about to open the door to the main building to re-enter when Link came through the gate. At the sound of his entrance, she looked over with only slight surprise in her expression, and Link couldn't help but grin back as he came to a stop.

She was a little over a head taller than him, being a few years Link's senior, and garbed in the deep blue dress and cloak of a Sanctuary acolyte. Turquoise hair came down from under her white cap and framed an angelic face, from which her kind green eyes warmly regarded Link. It was easy to see how she could be so universally adored by the people of Hyrule, he thought, between her looks and her bearing. And while it had been her secret chattiness that had first charmed him and cemented their friendship, he had to admit that she was unbelievably pretty too.

"Link! What a nice surprise!" she exclaimed upon seeing him, her dazzling smile on full display. "I take it you've been let off early then?"

Link nodded enthusiastically. "I haven't overslept for a whole week, so we got more done than normal. I wish there were a way to consistently get up on time without Gulley having to tire himself out running to my house every morning. Then maybe I'd get more time off."

Seres cocked her head for a few seconds, then suggested, "Have you thought about drinking a whole bunch of water when you go to bed?"

Now it was Link's turn to tilt his head, unsure how that would help. "I never have. Why, what does that do?"

Seres smirked. "Well," she explained, "if you drink a lot at night, you'll have to get up sooner or later to...well...you know…"

Link's eyes widened as he realized what she was getting at. "Ah...got it," he acknowledged, wondering in hindsight how he could have missed such an obvious solution.

They stood there outside the Sanctuary door for perhaps fifteen minutes, chatting about this and that, and Link was sure he'd never felt more alive. Of course, that was how it always was with Seres. She just had such a profound love of life that it bled into the people around her.

Link was sharing his daily experiences as a smith's apprentice with her when he mentioned that the captain of the Royal Guard had stopped by that day to pick up a new horseshoe for his steed. As he paused for breath, Seres suddenly cut in, "He comes here often. Really often."

Link cocked his head, curious. "Like, how often?" he inquired. Something about the way his friend had said that had suggested that the captain's visits were more frequent than one should reasonably expect.

Seres gave a quiet huff of laughter. "Oh, maybe every other day," she answered. "He just comes in and chats with Dad. He never really pays Dad any attention, though, that I can tell. Every time I'm there, he's always watching me."

Link blinked. "I might only be thirteen, but when you put it like that, I think even I can tell that guy likes you," he remarked.

Seres grimaced at that. "I think you might be correct," she replied. "I suppose one could do worse...from a certain point of view."

Link again cocked his head. "From a certain point of view?" he repeated.

Seres grimaced again. "He is certainly a skilled soldier," she said, almost absent-mindedly. "He's a leader, a respectable man who takes his duty seriously. But...he is rather a pompous fellow, wouldn't you agree?" Link snorted at that. Of course, the captain frequented the blacksmith Link worked at, so the lad had ample opportunity to observe him, and Seres' observation was pretty accurate. Then Seres added, "And, of course, he's not as young as he probably likes to think he is. Certainly, he's...a fair bit older than me. Though, I suppose, you and Princess Zelda are the only people I've ever met who are even close to my age."

Link had to admit, she was right about the captain's age. For a girl in her mid-to-late teens, having a relationship with a thirty-odd-year-old soldier likely wouldn't be terribly appealing, regardless of his status.

And then, without much pause, Seres added one more thing that caught Link off guard: "If anything, I'm pretty sure I'm more interested in you than him, probably than anyone."

Link's eyes widened in shock at her comment, then, after a few seconds, he started chuckling. "We're...talking hypothetically, right?" he ventured.

Seres shrugged. "I mean, not entirely," she answered. "I am at least a little interested in you. Besides, like I said, you're the only boy close to my age I know. I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have."

That made Link pause a bit, uncertain of how to take that information. It was perhaps ten seconds before he finally found words: "I hope we're not talking...y'know...marriage, at least not yet. I'm still too young for that."

Seres laughed softly in response. "No, I don't expect so much from you so soon," she replied. "Especially since I just told you that I like you. But we could give dating a try."

Once again, Link was given pause for thought. He'd never yet given much thought to dating; his work was so busy there really wasn't much time for that. But now that he was thinking about it, he realized that dating Seres just made sense. She was probably the only girl he knew around his age (much as he was to her), and, as he'd observed so many times before, she was just such a joy to be around. Of course, now he was starting to suspect that the wonderful lift in his spirits he got whenever he was around her was actually a budding attraction. Besides, he couldn't really think of any reason to say no to her suggestion.

Well, except one…

"Are you sure? I mean, the boss tends to keep me busy for a long time," he said.

"Well, maybe if you try drinking before bed," she teased, "you'd wake up earlier and have more free time."

Link's eyes widened as he realized her advice on waking up early would also solve the one reservation he'd had about all this. Presently, he nodded in assent to her proposal. "You know what," he quipped, "I think I'd really like dating you...uhh...How exactly do we do that?"

Seres' gaze turned upwards in thought. It seemed she hadn't really thought too much about dating either - certainly more than him, but not by much. "How about we meet up in Kakariko tomorrow evening?" she finally suggested, gently taking hold of his hands. Link blushed at the contact and nodded in agreement. "It's a date, then," Seres said with a grin, beginning to lean down. Link recognized the movement for what it was and raised himself on tip-toes, closing his eyes and puckering up as he did.

The moment their lips made contact, he gave an involuntary hum of delight. Seres' lips were probably the softest thing he'd ever felt, and their gentle pressure on his filled his whole body with a rush of warmth that bordered on addicting. Wanting more, he opened his mouth a little to deepen the kiss; he heard a muffled giggle from his girlfriend as she opened hers to match, and the sensations intensified fivefold. He realized that he probably wasn't ready for a kiss like this, but it was a little late to stop himself. Besides, he was really enjoying this.

When their mouths finally separated, Link was panting slightly, red-faced and unconsciously wanting still more. Seres had a massive grin on her face. "How about you come inside and we can hang out some more?" she offered, a sly note leaking into her voice. "I'm sure you didn't come all this way to be here for just a few minutes."

Link couldn't help but grin back.
