The getas splashed down onto the puddle of water. Rain was pouring from the heavens and it soaked his white gi, as well as his jet black hair. The only thing that was unaffected by the sudden appearance of the storm was the sword that lay at his side, sheathed, all too powerful to be disturbed by something like water. -This isn't right- The man to who the sword belonged thought. -Why am I running?- Stopping his run, he looked back to where he was running before, he was only confronted by a void of nothing, and it kept coming. The Samurai ran. He was confused. Is this a dream? No. A nightmare?- He remembered falling asleep, but this felt all too real, it wasn't like his other nightmares.

In his thoughts, he hadn't noticed the forest he was in coming to a close, a clearing ahead. And in this clearing sat a monster of darkness that drew The Samurai out of his thoughts.

"Stop." Its voice commanded. Both the void and Samurai halted any more movement. "Welcome, Samurai." It spoke, its voice deep and commanding, but evil, sending shivers down the otherwise fearless Man that stood before the beast. "Who are you?! And why am I here?" The Samurai spoke, opposing that which stopped him in his tracks. It began to laugh. "I am end, and I believe you already know the answer to your other question; your mind, in which I control now. You may be strong, great warrior, but I am beyond str-" Cutting off the creature, the man drew the Katana from its black sheath, and jumped into the air, attempting to slam down onto its skeletal head, but it only slapped him away, sending him into a tree. It laughed once again.

Suddenly, The Samurai leaped back at the undead monstrosity, cutting off its skeletal arm in one quick slice. It grimaced as the boney arm fell to the ground, but it didn't stop there, the warrior jumped up and cut the skull off the creature. The Samurai landed on the ground, sheathing his sword, But its cold laugh rang out in his mind, like training drums beating next to his ear, reverberating at any chance it got. "GAAAHH! Get out of my head puppet of Aku! For I will get out of this nightmare and slay you where you stand!" The laughing stopped.

"I am no servant to this Aku, I am the last scholar of Golb, God to Chaos and End, I serve no other but the end, for I am The Lich."

The Skeletal figure rose, its arm connecting back into its shoulder, and its head resting back in its place. The man gritted his teeth. "This is my mind! I am in control! No other!" And so he jumped back into action. The battle went on for what seemed like hours, but The Samurai was relentless, never letting this evil corrupt him.

"You are just like the boy, never understanding that no matter what you do, you'll all FALL!"

And fall The Samurai did, he clutched at the sword in his hand, he was starting to break the influence this Lich had over him, his appearance in the real world now being shown. Long dirty black hair and a beard reaching to his chest. Slowly he stood up, painful as it may be, but he did, and with it he finally broke The Lich's influence over him, the Katana ready to strike. Once he did so, he was suddenly awake, a rusty sword he had at his side stabbed into a yellow hand, turning into smoke, now dead. He dropped the sword and crawled back. Whatever it was, it's now dead.
