March Of The Oni

It was now a year after Harumi and Garmadon's attack. The city is still slowly starting to return to normal.

Now, inside of Kryptarium Prison, Lloyd and Noble walk through a hallway with lots of cameras mounted on the walls. "This is our new maximum-security wing." Noble explained to Lloyd as they walked while Lloyd looks around. "We spared no expense, I assure you."
Lloyd sees the camera are watching his every move. "Very wise."
"Yep, The entire wing was built for one purpose." Noble continues as they come up to a vault door. Noble lifts his glasses and leaned to the pad, and it scans his right eye, a beeping is heard and the door swung open. "To hold the rottenest egg of all." He soon looks inside and is quickly nervous. "Well ... good luck." He turns and runs off. "See you on the way out!"
Lloyd steps inside the room, but once he hears the words, he turns around. "Aren't you gonna." The door soon slams shut and lasers are then scanned around the door. "Stay?" He heads over to a nearby panel and pulls the switch, causing a pathway to come out, expanding to the containment that's a large dome that's made out of Clearstone. Suspended over a large pit. Lloyd walks down the path, looking down the dark and bottomless pit and finally reached the cell. "Hello, father."
Inside the cell, Garmadon is relaxing in a chair and reading a 'Time' magazine with his face on the front cover. He lowers the magazine and smile. "Well, well, if it isn't the Green Ninja." He sarcastically said as he stood up and tosses the magazine. "To what, do I owe the honor?"
"Cut the shit. You sent for me, remember? You said it was urgent."
That got Garmadon to pretend to think. "Did I? Hmm." He looks back at his son. "That doesn't sound like me." He turns away, no care at all. "I have all the time in the world in here."
"Fine." Lloyd turns to leave. "Then I guess I'll just."-
"Oh, yes. I remember now." Garmadon spoke, causing Lloyd to turn back around. "I did call you. Do you remember the last time we saw each other? What I said?"
That got Lloyd to think. "You said something was coming."
"Yes, but you didn't listen." Garamdon turns away from his son again. "And now, I'm afraid there isn't much time."
"Time for what?"
Garmadon smirks as he turns back around. "To prepare for the darkness, destruction. The end of Ninjago. And while I'm ok with that, in principle, I'd rather not be destroyed along with you, so I've decided to help you fight them."
"Fight who?"
"The Bringers of Doom. You and your color-coded little Ninja are no match for them. There's only one thing powerful enough to stop them."
"Let me guess. You."
"Ah." Garmadon turns to his son again. "Let me out, and you might have a chance."
Lloyd looks down thinking. "Hmm. How do I put this?" He looks up. "NO! N-O! Not if you were the last person in all of Ninjago." He turns around to talk off. "There is nothing you will say that will make me trust you ever again. Goodbye."
Garmadon just smirked. "You'll be back."

On the highway, stuck in traffic is the Earth Driller. Cole, PIXAL, and Zane sat inside the vehicle as Cole sat in the driver seat as he irritated honked the horn. "Oh come on!" Cole complained as he threw his arms up. "You gotta be kidding!" The Ninja are now in new Ninja gi.
"We were supposed to be there 30 minutes ago." Zane said.
"This thing has an enormous drill on it." PIXAL tells Cole. "Can we not just go under them."
"Oh, can we?" Cole begs Zane. "Please?" He pulls a lever, turning on the drill, scaring some of the nearby drivers.
"I do not think the city would appreciate that." Zane said. "They just finished rebuilding this freeway."
"Aah." Cole complained as he turns off the drill. "We're so late! And I can see the harbor right there!" He points to the harbor with a new ship waiting. "I fell like I'm missing the birth of my daughter all over again." He folds his arms. "Something happened, I just don't know what."
"You fainted." PIXAL answered, making Cole pout as Zane nods.
"Yes, I believe your words were 'Oh mama' before fainting." Zane replied.
"That's it." PIXAL said. "I'm getting out." She presses a button, opening the visor and stands up, then leaps out and flipping over cars, Zane followers her.
Cole slowly got out of the Driller and jumps, shutting the visor and turns around. "Hey guys!" He calls, shaking his right foot. "Wait up, my foot's asleep!"
The three Ninja continue to make their way through all the cars to get to the harbor.

At the harbor, a large audience awaits. Including Eleanor, wearing a baby sling as little baby Lilly Pebble Brookstone faced her mother, Lou Brookstone stood next to her as the Police Commissioner waits by the podium.
"Hey look!" A voice called. "It's them!" A man calls as Cole, PIXAL and Zane run towards the podium.
"Ok, Vinny, on me." Gayle tells him. "In three, two, one." Vinny holds up the camera to Gayle. "We're live from Ninjago Harbor, where several of the ninja have just arrived to witness the unveiling of a new ship being presented to them as a gift from the mayor."
"Thank you all for coming." The Commissioner told the crowd. "Now, I'm not much for speeches, but the mayor asked me to say a few words." He looks around. "Not really sure why the mayor couldn't do this herself." He muttered. "Never around, really. It's a riddle to me how she got elected in the first place."
"Ain't that the truth." Eleanor said, gently bouncing her baby.
"And the funding of the police department is." The Commissioner started, but realized the crowd could hear him, he cleared his throat. "It gives me great pleasure to present this ship from the people of Ninjago City to the ninja, in thanks to their years of dedicated service."
As the crowd cheers, Eleanor gently pulls Lilly out of her sling and gives the baby to Lou before joining her friends.
Lou smiles down at his granddaughter who cooes up at him.
The Ninja turn to the ship. "I wonder what it looks like." PIXAL wondered.
"This is exciting!" Eleanor smiled, bouncing with a smile as she clapped her hands.
"I hope it's a tri-master like the Bounty." Zane said hopefully.
"Don't get your hopes up." Cole said. "Whatever it is, it won't compare."
"You're right about that." Zane agreed as Cyrus Borg presses a button on a remote and the tent starts coming down. "The Bounty was." - The crowd gasped when they saw the Destiny's Bounty, completely rebuilt, surprising the Ninja as the back thrusters activates, the sails rise and starts to ascend from the ocean.
"It - it looks just like."- Zane trailed off as the audience chanted 'Bounty'.
"It's the Bounty." Cole breathed.
"They rebuilt it." Eleanor said with amazement. Cole turns to the Commissioner.
"Sir, I- I don't know what to say."
"You've given us back our ship." Zane said.
The Commissioner chuckled. "And you've given us back our city."
"How did you do it?" Eleanor asked. "The Bounty was completely destroyed."
"We were able to obtain a copy of the original blueprints from a private collector."
"Who wants them back in mint condition!"
"I wish the others could see this." PIXAL said.
"Where are they?" Cole asked.
"Nya said Skylor really wanted to talk with Kai." Zane answered. "It was important that Skylor spoke to both siblings."
"What could be more important than this?" Cole asked.

"So, you wanted to see us Sky?" Nya asked as she and Kai stood in the Monastery Of Spinjitzu on top of the Mountains of Impossible Heights.
"I did." Skylor nods. "I've got something to." She trails off for a moment. "To show you actually." She said nervously.
Kai frowns. "Like what?"
"Are you ok?" Nya asked.
Skylor was quiet for a long moment, pressing her lips together, then sighed. "Ok." She pulls off the first shirt she was wearing, and placed her hands on the obvious baby bump. "Kai." She nervously looked at the fire Ninja. "You're going to be dad."
Kai stares at her. "Y-y." He trails off. "I-I." He trails off again.
Nya squealed in delight. "Exciting!" She ran up to Skylor and hugged the red head tightly, then leaned down to gently touch the baby bump. "Hello my niece or nephew!"
Kai just stood there with a stunned look. "I-I." He takes a deep breath. "Oh boy." He then just turns and walks out of the room.
"Kai!" Skylor watches him sadly and hurt.
"I'll talk to him." Nya promises.
Skylor swallows hard. "Ok. Um, I'm going to head home." She turns to leave. "Let Kai cool and calm down." She starts to leave.
"But Skylor." Nya protested as William walked into the room, and Skylor passed him, making him frown.
"What happened?" He asked as he walked over to Nya.
"Skylor's pregnant." Nya revealed, then folded her arms. "And my brother calmed up and walked away."
Dareth suddenly poked his head into the room. "Hey guys!" He said cheerfully. "You gotta check out this mural!"

The Ninja, minus Kai, stood in the courtyard as they stared at the mural. "Wow." Jay said.
"Will ya look at that." Chantal said.
"Beautiful." Rainn said as Master Wu stood behind her.
"It is the history of Ninjago, a history in which all of you played a significant role."
"And there's Pythor." Nya points at a picture of Pythor, then points to Lloyd who was possessed by Morro. "And Morro!"
Dareth runs to the mural. "Where am I? Where am I? I-I'm in here somewhere, right?" He runs around as he looks up and down the mural.
"Oh, I'm sure you are." William replied.
"Ok, I'll keep looking." Dareth continues to look around, before coming up to the Sons Of Garmadon mural. "Ooh, I think I see me. There's a brown spot here, and it looks just like me. Whoo-hoo."
Nya, Chantal, and Rainn giggle.
Chantal walks up to a mural with Garmadon surrounded by the Golden Weapons with the Tornado of Creation under him. "What's this?"
"The Tornado of Creation." Jay answered as he walked up to her. "Kai, Cole, Zane and I came together and formed that ... that bone cage thingy."
"But I thought Master Wu has the Elemental Power of Creation?" Chantal frowned.
"I do." Wu nods.
Jay continues to study the mural. "Uhhh, except I don't remember looking that impressive." He turns to Wu. "Are you sure you want to commemorate this moment? I mean, we've had better ones."
"It is a part of our history. When all hope seemed lost, you confronted destruction with creation." Wu balances his staff on the back of his hand. "Balance was restored. That is the power of Spinjitzu, which we must always."-
A flash causes him to drop his staff before looking up as a portal opens, causing them to gasp as a familiar dragon flies out above the monastery, looking wounded.
"That looked like Firstbourne!" Jay exclaimed. "Come on!" The Ninja run out of the courtyard and down the steps to where Firstbourne crashes.

Down below, Firstbourne laid with something clutched in her paw as the Ninja hurry down the steps and gets closer, Wu drops his staff as he runs up to the dragon to comfort her. Firstbourne slowly opened her paw, revealing a weak Faith as she crawls out, falling to the ground.
"Oh my gosh, Faith!" Jay cried as he and Rainn rush up to her.
"Are you ok?" Rainn asked as they turn her around and Wu comes over.
Wu gently rests Faith in his arms. "Faith, what happened? Who did this?"
Weakly Faith leans comes close and whispers something into his ear, then lays her head back down.
"What did she say?" Jay asked.
"She said." He looks up at the Ninja. "A darkness is coming."

A short time later, the Destiny's Bounty is back as it Lloyd. The Ninja stood around in front of a door while Wu and Misako were in the room with Faith.
"Hey, hey, hey, Cole!" Jay rushed up to the black Ninja. "And just where is my Goddaughter?"
"With my dad."
Jay pouted.
"Speaking of dad's." Nya turns to look at Kai, who has his arms folded and gave her a glare.
"We're not talking about this, sis!"
Suddenly the door opens to reveal Master Wu walking out, with Misako holding a damp cloth to Faith's forehead, before Wu closes the door.
"How is she?" Lloyd asked.
"Will she be ok?" Nya asked.
"I've given her a powerful healing potion." Wu walks away with the empty tray. "She will recover. As will Firstbourne, though it will take time." He walks over to a nearby table to make some more tea.
"Did she say what happened?" Cole asked.
"She said." Wu turns to them, while putting some tea leaves into the cup in his hand. "A a darkness swept over the Realm of Oni and Dragon." His cup starts emitting black steam. "She tried to resist it, but it grew and grew, consuming all in its path." His moves his free hand across the steam. "Those who were touched by it were frozen where they stood like statues."
"I was at Kryptarium Prison, visiting my father." Lloyd said. "He said something similar. He said 'The darkness is coming.'"
That information troubled Wu.
"Well, that's creepy." Jay, who came up next to him, waves his hand over the steam then tries to blow the steam out.
"But what is it?" Eleanor asked. "What is the darkness?"
Wu turns to Lloyd. "What else did he say?"
"Something about 'The Bringers of Doom.'"
Wu soon looked to be in thought. "Bringers Of Doom.'" He strokes his long beard in thought.

Soon, everyone is in the study, Wu pulls out a book and opens it and starts flipping through pages while the Ninja stood behind him. "There." He points dark and scary looking demon. "That's it."
"I don't like the look of that." Cole said.
Kai comes up closer and leans on his shoulder. "Oh. Me neither. What is it?"
"It is an Oni." Wu answered, turning to them while Lloyd looked at the picture. "My father called them the Bringers of Doom." He turns back to the picture. "He feared that they would one day spread out from their realm and cover all the lands of creation in darkness."
Jay soon laughs. "That's a crazy legend." He continues to laugh. "Good thing it's just a legend, right?"
"Legends are real Jay." Rainn tells her boyfriend, who stops laughing.
"That is correct." Wu said. "Many legends begin in truth. And if there is any truth to this ... we must prepare."
"How?" Lloyd asked.
"We must warn Ninjago City. There isn't a moment to lose." Wu runs out of the room.
"Good thing we have the Bounty back!" Cole said before he and the others, minus Lloyd run out.
Lloyd stays behind to look at the picture of the Oni. "The 'Bringers Of Doom.'" He soon moves to quickly join the others.

The Ninja are exploring the newly rebuilt Destiny's Bounty. "No way." Kai smiled. "Look at this thing."
They walk into the bridge. "Wow." Nya smiles.
"Whoa." Jay breathed.
"Huh." Kai frowns a little. "This looks just like the old Bounty." He said as Jay and Cole play with the buttons and switches.
"They did a wonderful job." Nya said.
"Let's see what she's capable of." Lloyd said. "Full speed ahead!"
Zane pulls the thruster forward, only for them to turn backwards, resulting in the Bounty gong backwards and knocking the Ninja forward and they yell in surprise and Zane quickly lowers the lever back.
"What was that?" Nya gasped.
"Forwards, Zane. Not backwards." Lloyd said.
Zane pulls off the sticker. "Someone must have wired the lever wrong." He puts the sticker down the right way, then pulls down the lever and the Bounty speeds off.

The Destiny's Bounty is now flying towards the city. "Uh, guys?" Eleanor asks. "I'm picking up a lot of distress calls on UHF."
"We're too late." Cole said.
"Maximum speed." Lloyd tells Nya.
"Hold on, everyone." She hits a button, but nothing happened. "Come on you, unhinged ship." She kicks the side of the panel and the thrusters immediately burst open, and the Bounty heads for the city at maximum speed.

Inside an alleyway. The Commissioner and a group of Officers are and backed up into a wall. "Anyone have any bright ideas?"
Jimmy turns on a flashlight and throws it at the dark cloud, the dark cloud turns it off and continues to approach them. The Commissioner backs up.
"Steady, boys. Steady."
Suddenly a rope ladder along with other ropes comes down, surprising them, before Kai, William, Jay, Cole Zane, and Lloyd slide down the ropes.
"The Ninja!" Commissioner called relieved as they turn to face the police. "Oh, boy, are we glad to see you guys."
"Commissioner, get your officers out of here." Lloyd told him, handing him the rope ladder.
"You heard him. Move it." The Commissioner told them, the officers quickly started to climb, and the Commissioner soon followed. Climbing up to reach the Bounty were Nya, Chantal, Rainn, Eleanor, and PIXAL were on deck.
"Ok, let's see what this is made of." Lloyd said as the male Ninja turn to the dark cloud. "Care to do the honors, Jay?"
"My pleasure." Jay held his hands together, sparking up a bolt of lightning. "Lightning!" He spins in the air before firing at the cloud, only it didn't work.
"Uh, heh. Let's see how it likes fire." Kai lit his hand on fire. "Fire!" He twirls and fires a fireball into the cloud, that only got the same result. "What?"
"Ok, everybody at the sametime." Lloyd said.
They all activate their powers. "Ninjago!" They yell, sending out their respective powers into the darkness. But nothing happens.
"Our elemental powers appear to be ineffective." Zane states the obvious.
"Yeah, no kidding." Kai said sarcastically. "What do we do?"
"Nya, get us out of here." Lloyd said into his communicator.
"You got it." Came the reply before the Ninja grab hold of the ropes, Kai grabbing the ladder and Cole lagged behind before managing to grab a rope before the Bounty starts to fly as the cloud starts to come underneath, a tentacle reaches up and wraps around Cole's left leg, preparing to pull him down.
"Whoa - ah. Uh guys!" He struggles to hold the rope. "Help! It's got me!" The tentacle pulls him down. "Ahh!"
"NO!" Eleanor cried, starting to climb onto the ledge, PIXAL and Zane both grab her arms just as Lloyd lets go of his rope, and free falls as Cole lands on the ground and was about to be pulled into the dark cloud, Lloyd pulls out his sword.
As he was pulled in, Cole could see a figure in the middle of some smoke and purple thunder causing him to gasp before Lloyd lands behind him, comes up to the tentacle and severes it, causing it to roar. "Come on buddy." Lloyd said as he helped him up. "I got ya." A rope soon comes down as Lloyd helps Cole over it. "Time to get the hell out of here." He quickly grabs the rope. "Reel us in! Quick!" The rope starts to retract, bringing up Lloyd and Cole with it.

On the deck PIXAL, and Zane help Lloyd and Cole back onto the deck, and Eleanor launches into Cole, hugging him tightly. "We need to go save some more people." Lloyd said as Cole fell backwards into him and he steadied him.

Hours later of searching for rooftops for surivors. Skylor is sitting on some steps that lead up toward the higher part of the deck. Kai walks over to her, and gently drapes a blanket over her shoulders before sitting down next to her. "You ok?" He asks gently.
"You walked away from me this morning." She wouldn't look at him. "I'm carrying your child. And now you're saving me - saving everyone from that pitch black dark cloud."
"I know your angry with me." Kai starts. "But how, I mean when?" He trails off.
"During the party after winning against the Sons of Garmadon." Skylor placed a hand on her stomach. "I know you're hurt because it's been a year and I'm now just telling you." She still wouldn't look at him. "I was scared, I was really, really scared."
"Scared of what?" Kai asked.
She looked down. "I never knew my mother. Remember where I grew up and was raised."
The red Ninja places a hand on her knee. "I grew up with neither of my parents." He reminds. "For years, it was just me and Nya. Between the three of us, I think we can raise our kid to be proud of who he or she will be." He removes his hand to stand up. "That is, if you let me see him."
Skylor looks down as Kai started to walk away. "Or girl." She said with a small smile, then held a giggle as Kai stared at her.
"R-right." He stuttered.
Lloyd is currently looking down from the starboard side railing to see the blanket of dark cloud seeping through the streets. Nya, Eleanor, Kai, Jay, William, and Zane join him.
"We hit it with everything we had, and it did nothing." Kai said. "It just went right through it." He finishes as Cole joins his friends.
"How are we supposed to fight something like that?" Nya asked.
"I-I touched it!" Cole shivers. "It was colder than anything I've ever felt. And there was something inside the cloud. I think it was an Oni."
"Maybe we can't fight it. But I know someone who can." Lloyd said.
