Booth had routed the carriage to go through the Jeffersonian as he had the garden lit up. "This looks incredible Booth!" Brennan said as she took in the gorgeous view. "This is where you told me you could be a duck. Where you begged me to allow you to work in the field." Booth said, attempting to hide his laughter. Brennan rolled her eyes and recalled that moment. The moment that occurred so long ago. Brennan laughed, "I remember." she said. The carriage was no longer moving, and both sat in silence. Booth turned to look at Brennan, "Bones, this is also the place where I ask you if you will be my girlfriend. I know this is technically our first date, but I don't see myself with anyone else. I know you aren't property to have but I'd like the world to know that Dr. Temperance Brennan is not only my partner but my girlfriend. We have literally killed for each other and have almost died for each other. It's always been you and I." he said as he held on to her hands tightly. Brennan's heart was racing, she was terrified, but so overwhelmingly happy. "I would love to be more than your partner Seeley Booth." she said with a single tear flowing down her cheek. Booth had the largest smile on his face. Brennan leaned in giving him a kiss. She rested her head into the crook of his neck. "Booth, I'd really like to partake in that unspoken act we discussed yesterday." she whispered. Her voice gave him goosebumps and his eyes went wide, "Bones, are you sure? Isn't it too soon?" he asked. Brennan laughed, "Booth, you said it yourself. We've been through it all together. Don't you think we've waited enough?" she asked as she raised an eyebrow. Booth laughed and took a hold of Brennan's face and kissed her. Booth yelled over to the driver as the couple wanted to head back to their vehicle.

Erin and Pax were still watching The Goonies and having pizza that had just been delivered. Erin had already switched her clothes into the dryer and continued to take care of Pax's eye. He welcomed the care and hospitality as he wasn't used to girls acting this way towards him. "Erin, you're pretty cool and funny. Why don't you show this side of yourself in school? You're always so serious." he asked. Erin smiled, "I've just always been this way when it comes to school. It's like a switch. When I'm at school I'm always so focused." She shrugged her shoulders and continued to chew her pizza. "I honestly didn't think anyone from school would think I'm cool or funny." she chuckled. Pax smiled and swiped his hair away from his face, accidentally touching his eye, causing him to groan in pain. Erin quickly placed her plate down and went to inspect Pax's eye. "Careful! You're going to be very tender and sore for the next 3 days." Erin was inches away from his face and unsure of the feelings she was experiencing. Pax could feel Erin's breath on his temple. Erin took one step back to give Pax space, but she slipped on the blanket and Pax caught her. Erin smiled, "Thanks - Pax. That was close." she said as she found her balance. Pax wanted to kiss her. He knew she was different. Erin sat back down on the couch and Pax gave her a smile and they both returned to watching the movie.

Booth and Brennan were heavily breathing in between the sheets. The smell of sweat and wine filled the room. There were obvious sounds of pleasure and joy surrounding them. Brennan's head laid on Booth's chest, "It was worth the wait. It was comparable to Climbing Everest." she said. Booth was trialing his fingers along the line of Brennan's back. He had always imagined her skin to be soft. But nothing was comparable to what he was feeling now. He chuckled and gave her head a kiss; this was unreal. "Bones, I can't tell you how long I waited for this moment. In the past we might have agreed that we were not compatible. But we make the perfect match." he said. Brennan looked up to see the man she called her partner for so long. This time he looked different; he was even more attractive. His brown eyes sparkled, his smile radiated, and his voice continued to send chills down her spine. Boyfriend. She was now in a monogamous relationship. She sat herself up and began to trace the lines of his jaw and chin. She directed his head towards her, and she gave him a deep kiss. "I don't know what I did to deserve you." she whispered into his lips. Booth tucked her hair behind her ear and kissed her nose. "Oh, Bones. You simply existed." he said. The couple continued to relish each other's company.

Erin and Pax were finishing their second movie of their night. Losing track of time until the dryer had finished its cycle. "Your shirt is ready. Let me go get it!" she said as she jumped off the couch. Pax laughed at her tiny giggle and the way she moved so effortlessly and well carelessly. He was used to girls being self-conscious around him. They watched how much they ate, or how their hair looked. But Erin didn't care about any of that. She was just, herself. While Erin was taking out her clothes from the dryer, the door began to open. Pax didn't know what to do, he just sat on the couch. Completely still hoping he'd turn invisible. As Erin yelled, "Pax, I got the blood off your shirt!" and approached the living room, Brennan and Booth had just walked into the apartment. They laid eyes on the shirtless teenage boy on the couch and Erin in her pj's holding said shirt. Erin forgot about her mom's date. "Who the hell are you?" Booth asked as he pointed at Pax. Brennan quickly followed, "And why are you shirtless?" she asked with her hand on her hips staring right at Erin. "Well, this was entirely unexpected." Erin said while grinding her teeth.
